OOC: This is just an events thread. In which I'll post anything that doesn't belong in any thread, nor warrents having a completely new thread.
The rules are simple: You do not reply, unless I say in a post you may reply.
And remember, don't tag, just subscribe.

IC: Arnopelë,
Arnatirios,
Sisgardia. Twenty years ago.

“So you see my Lady, that as the current population increases and our borders do not widen, we will soon be out of land. Not for our people to live in, but live from. Yavanna only gives us so little. Either we go against our oath made countless centuries ago...” Luinaldo, Taurevanimë's Agricultural Advisor said before he quickly got cut of by Taurevanimë. “An oath we took and intent to keep, lest we get even less from Yavanna. The oath we have taken has blessed us with a great forest which not only feeds us, but protects us as well. She will certainly keep providing for us if we stand by the oath we have taken. But do continue.” Taurevanimë said.

“Well my Lady, as I was saying. We either go against our oath, have to depend on trade with other nations. Or take the bold step of building off-world colonies.” Luinaldo stopped to let the words sink in, he already knew what Taurevanimë would rather do.

“We shouldn't go against our oath so carelessly, nor should we have to depend on others to give us food. So we should start building off-world colonies. But in this new world, all the bodies near Anar.” She said more as a question.

“Well my Lady, we can travel across the sky to distant stars, surely there are worlds there worth inhabbiting.”

“Of course there are, but they are so far away from Taurenor, we should only start this journey when we can protect our people beyond the forest realm of Taurenor.

Uranian Orbit,
Present day.

The day would go by as it normally does, transport ships coming and going with only small escorts, thouh seemingly with more haste then normal. And then suddenly one after another ship appeared from the turquoise clouds of Uranus. A large ammount of them combat vessels, obviously for the defence of other vessels which could only be described as massive bulk transporters.

The massive fleet of ships steadilly made it's way beyond the orbit of the most distant planet without any trouble at all. Much to the relief of everyone involved with the project. And as the fleet just stood there as it were on the edge of the solar system, they just suddenly blinked and were gone, starting their mission of colonising not just a few planets, but a few solar systems. And with them they carried the future of millions and millions of people.

Living outside the solar system.

The Taurenor government finishes construction of extrasolar colonies, and opens them to public.

The colonies are located in the Tauler, Et Rahta and Formen Hlapu star systems. Their distance from the 'Sol' star system is between ten and eighteen lightyears. Though this hasn't been any problem for the colonies to this point.

“This is a milestone in the history of our kingdom.” Queen Taurevanimë said at a press conference. “The more people join the ones already present on the colonies, the greater their future shall be.”

Already the application office has been swamped under the many requests that have been put in by people wishing to seek out a new life and move to the new colonies.

The Imperial Necrontyr Embassy, Taurenor.

Elendan offers Taurevanimë a seat overlooking the best view from the building, with a slight smile, "I am as ever, honoured by your visit your majesty," he says calmly, making certain to watch her every move.
Taurevanimë smiles and sits down in the seat gracefully, "Thank you Ambassador Elendan. It is always a pleasure to be with you." she says and glances outside to take in the view.
Elendan smiles, "Would you care for a drink?" he asks, still standing, watching her with his usual interest.
"Yes, thank you." She says and looks back to him with a smile. "You have a lovely view."
Elendan nods, and walks through one of the room's doors, "Thank you, but it is of course, a view provided by, and of course, of, your people. I enjoy it nevertheless."
Taurevanimë looks out of the window once again when he leaves the room, enjoying the view.
Elendan returns a moment later with two fluted glasses of a white wine - not quite wine actually, but made from a more exotic fruit in much the same manner as one makes wine from grapes. He extends one to the queen, "So," he asks, "has anything concerned you lately that I might be able to help you with?"
Taurevanimë thanks Elendan for the 'wine' and thinks for a moment. "Well, I have a growing fear that my nation's defence forces aren't powerful enough to ensure the safety of my people and allies." She says and then takes a sip from her drink, much liking the taste.

Elendan gives her a smile, "Well, from what I can tell you have been doing a fine and commendable job in expanding their potential," he says, taking a seat next to her, and leaning back a little less formally than usual to regard her with bright blue eyes.
"That is true. But we haven't used a weapon in centuries. Tactics and strategy may have left our command long ago." She sips from her drink once again and licks her lips. "That is why we've proposed the VERITAS wargames." She continues.
He nodded, "I can empathise with the problem," he says, "it is unfortunately one we share in some ways, a lack of a practical knowledge base in the civilian population for such things. We are careful to avoid becoming complacent, but I can think of very few necrontyr who have ever actually been in a war."
Taurevanimë smiles and speaks in a joyous voice, "Well thankfully we have allies able to help us in time of need."
Elendan returns the smile, "Yes, and we for our part, are most keen to help Taurenor should such a need ever arise."
"Thank you for that." She says and hefts her glass before drinking the rest of it's contents.
Elendan smiles a little, "More?" he asks, pleased.
"Yes please. It's a rather fine wine, I must get a few bottles." She says and hands over her glass.
Elendan smiles, standing and fetching the bottle before pouring and offering her more, "May I add that you look particularly radiant this evening your majesty," he says.
Taurevanimë smiles and sips from her glass, blushing a little at his praise. "Thank you, you look handsome as ever ambassador." She says, trying to return the praise.
Elendan smiles, and edges a little closer to her, "Is there anything else you would care to discuss?" he asks, smiling.
Taurevanimë sips from the wine some more and continues to smile. "Well, don't you have anything to talk about ambassador?"
Elendan ponders, "Not especially. Though I will say that Taurenor is becoming slightly more popular of late at home, which is of course, good news."
"That is indeed good news. I hope it shall continue doing so." She says and finishes her glass again.
Elendan nods, "As do I. I suppose now would be a good time for me to propose some additional aid in expanding the Taurenor military to my superiors, if you would be amenable to the idea..."
"I shall tell the military leaders of your proposal. But I think that with my blessing they'll certainly accept." She says and holds out her glass. "Would you care to give me some more of that exquisite wine?"

Elendan smiles, and obligingly pours the wine into her glass, "Most certainly your Majesty," he says, lightly touching her mind, careful not to let her notice that telepathy as he seeks... confirmation of what he knows she wants, but does not wish to say.

Taurevanimë smiles and drinks from the glass again, looking into Elendan's eyes as she does. "Where would I be able to get this wine Elendan?"
Elendan smiles, "From me. Or indeed, from anywhere that does specialist imports of wine. It's not really wine per se as something made in the same way from an 'alien' fruit. Still, they call it wine."
Taurevanimë nods and finishes another glass, holding it out to be refilled as she speaks. "Well, would it be possible to visit the lands where this fruit is grown and the wine is made?"
Elendan says all this as he continues to read her, surprised at the rate she drinks, "For you dear lady, most certainly it is."
Taurevanimë smiles and settles back in a little and sips from her drink. "Good, I'd love to see where my new favourite wine is made."
Elendan smiles, "I would be quite happy to take you any time you like," he says, "Tonight even, if you wish."
Taurevanimë smiles even more, "That would be great." She says and sips some more. "I have a free day, you could take me right now if it would be possible."

Elendan smiles, "I would suggest you tell your attendants before we go at least," he says. "We wouldn't want to worry anyone after all."
"Certainly," She says and finishes her glass again. "Mind if I contact them from here?"
"Not at all," he says, gesturing to another door.
Taurevanimë places her glass on the table and stands up, walking through the door to tell her staff she will be off visiting an off world Necron colony planet.
Elendan stands by the table as she returns, and smiles, "There is one thing I think I should give to you before we go."
Taurevanimë smiles and awaits what he has to give her.
Elendan steps forward, and wraps his arms around her, leaning forward to kiss her. This was of course, what he was checking for before. Amusing and endearing as he sometimes finds Taurenori custom, in the matter of relationships, it is unfortunately rather annoying, to him at least. Knowing full well that she 'wants' him, he decided finally to take the matter into his own hands, or indeed, arms...

OOC: For most purpouses, these two can be considered married now. We've decided there won't be much fuss on the matter externally, in no small part because I've already got one marriage thread to plan. ;)
