Gran Cienaga

"The Najan people get what the Najan people want." These famous words uttered by the great patriot John Lear still ring true today. The nation of Gran Cienaga is growing and modernizing as we speak yet our road system is moving at a lethargic pace. There are precious few roads in the system that are either inadequate, decrepit or defunct. In a scoiety such as ours where shipments need to be ferried across a nation as vast as ours, such a road system is wholly inadequate.
On that note, the government of the Commonwealth in conjunction with county and municipal governments is ready to build a superhighway, currently known as the Hyperion. The project is in its infancy and we would like to hear suggestions from other nations. So far, we intend to incorporate the following ideas into the highway system:
¤ Minimum speed limit of 55 mph; maximum shall be undefined
¤ Regular maintenance to ensure safety of drivers
¤ Minimum of five lanes, each six feet long
¤ Shoulders every fifty miles along with deceleration lanes starting at least 250 miles before an exit
¤ Medians with planted palm trees and other greenery for a more natural effect
¤ Gentle curves and banks to limit risk of accidents
¤ Parking areas, rest stops and gas stations every three to five miles
¤ "Accident designators" every 60 miles (electric signs indicating an accident at least 60 miles away and in which lane)
We ask any other nations to contribute ideas or donations if possible, along with suggestions for a better name for the highway system.
