Blood, and Absolution. Coronation of a Dynasty... [SEMI-OPEN RP]
Austar Union
08-01-2005, 07:20
Sitting back in his handcarved oak chair, Indigo could only smile with satisfaction as the seven kingdoms were coming together in treaty. Not since the beginning of the original feud, they had been together under one leader, as one nation. Not since then had this treaty been activated, and afterward, when the battle had raged most fierce, the Dynasty had been split. Now, this was the time for a new beginning, a new beginning under the rule of Blood and Might. This dynasty would not only be strong, but one ruled with a fierce ruler. Manuscripts of the ancient had made this a prophecy; the second Dynasty of Blood would be the greatest, if all requirements were held to be filled.
Soon, within a few weeks of waiting, people from the universal theatre would celebrate with Indigo and his fellow countrymen. For at the ceremony of coronation, where he would be proclaimed Lord over this nation, a new beginning would arise, and that which had been in slumber for centuries would rise again. Proverbial eyes would open, and the monster of the underworld would soon awaken again.
In the meantime, while the preperations of eternity would continue, a brief letter would be sent to those across the globe, inviting them all to the beginning of a global era.

SUBJECT: An Invitation of Excellence
-------------------------------------------
It sickens me when I consider the history of this nation, where what should be made great, ought lie dormant for centuries of worldy existance. And when I consider the events which are now written, the prophecies which are now coming to be true, rather than the myth it had considered to be, I can now stand proud and look my fellow countrymen in the eye. This is the beginning of something great.
Indeed, I do not like to brag about the strength of this prophecy, which is why I do never attempt to make it as such a main focus. However I do like to make myself known to those around, to those who hold a concept only known as 'power'. Please, if you would join me in the official establishment of my empire, the official beginning of the dynasty which had been written by the ancient, I would humbly be due to thank you greatly, for you would have served me well. Soon, a ceremony will be held, of which I will be proclaimed as the Lord over this nation, and the beginning of the Blood Dynasty of Austar Union, will become to known not only to those in attendance, but rather those who choose to take note of this eternal shift.
Yours in Excellence,
Indigo Blue

OOC: As you may have already known or even guessed, this is an invitation to a ceremony, which will symbolise the coronation of Indigo as leader of my nation, and also the official beginning of a new dynasty and government. Notably, this is of the undead variety, particularly a hybrid of vampire and something else. This is open to anyone, of any technology level, as long as the wank level is kept to a reasonable level. A good response to this post may be acceptance of the invitation, and you will be placed upon the list of attendees. Anyone who does accept will be notified when the actual ceremony begins.

Your Lordship,
It is my honor and privilege to accept your invitation, especially as this will be the first contact between our nations. I plan to bring one personal guest and a small retinue who shall not accompany me to the ceremony itself as well as to bring tokens of good-will and friendship. Though I mean no inconvenience, I must also request that arrangements be made so that we do not have to sit in close proximity to anything made of cold or wrought iron do to medical reasons.

Dear Blood Lord,
It has come to my attention that you are inviting nations from around the world to come to the ceremony in which you will be coronated as the leader of your nation in the new Blood Dynasty. I ran across the message, as the Austar Union is among the top nations we check for international statements due to its membership in VERITAS, and I must say that I am interested in attending. As you may recall, we both met at the VERITAS Summit, and I am honored that I am able to come to your coronation ceremony. I will be bringing only my personal friend, Almaya Cortanus, and two bodyguards that will be unarmed, save pepper spray.
If you would be so kind as to notify us of the time and place, we will be sure to arrive promptly. I must say that my husband will not be available to come, due to unfortunate events taking place internationally that require his immediate attention. I look forward to seeing your charming face yet again.
Most Sincerely,

To the Most Excellent Indigo, Lord of the Blood Dynasty
One of the hardest things for a ruler to do is to live up to what its nation truly requires. Your boldness is an encouragement to me, as I took the throne just a year before now, and have many difficult things to accomplish. Vision, courage and wisdom are some of the most important virtues of a leader, particularly one who takes the whole burden of state on their shoulders. As we have recently become, through the VERITAS Treaty, allies, I would feel it an honour if I could attend your coronation.

Although dark, the pigeons did manage to find Indigo where he slumbered, awakening him with their soft and friendly songs. He was rather peaceful, surprising considering those who usually stirred him were murdered in the most horrific. Opening the small packages attached to their talons, he read the RSVP's in the dim light which surrounded him. Writing a response in due time, he was sure to address every, single future attendant. For they were his honerable guests, and would soon bless him with their presence.

“To the Honored Lord Blue,
Years ago, our two great nations shared a bond of friendship through our mutual participation in the organization known as the United Alliance of Progressive States. The Austar Union did not leave the alliance on the best of terms with some of its members, but Edölia has never harbored it any ill will. As you may or may not be aware, the end of the alliance has left Edölia in a position to seek out new friends and allies. We would greatly appreciate an opportunity to come to this ceremony. Perhaps our old bond could be rekindled.

Personally, I have read much about the history of which the Austar Union and Edolia were friends, and I would be very interested in rekindling such bonds with your nation, pertaining of course that we do get along. Much time has passed, and our leaders are still very different people rather than who they once were.
Nevertheless, you will be welcomed strongly in the Blood Dynasty, when it is officially coronated of course. Before the ceremony however, you will still be welcomed just as well, and our people will celebrate your arrival. Already, you can be considered as friends.

"To the esteemed and respected leader of Austar Union
Dear Indigo Blue, while we have looked and wandered around through written and untold history we have witnessed many changes. Even though war looms near the borders and within the borders of Guffingford, the two leaders of the Holy Dual Empire of Guffingford-Panooly would be honoured to join this ceremony - especially for the Panooly side of the Empire, they would be thrilled to see friendship coming to them instead of cold conflict and heated discussion containing hatred and misbelief. The coronation will mark the real new beginning of a new era. An era of peace between the Panoolians and Austar Union citizens.
Thank you."

We are pleased to learn of your upcoming coronaton and extend my warmest regards for your success.
I am pleased to accept your invitation, my intention is to arrive with my personal retinue, one member of which may accompany me to the coronation.
I request that you inform my office or myself of an appropriate time to arrive, as the travel from the Citadel of Eversong within Avalondon will take a short period of time.
I request that you ensure that our quarters do not contain cold, black or wrought iron as several members of my retinue have severe reactions to ferrous materials, although I have built up a strong resistance. Similarly, please have your servants make certain that there is a large cupboard or similar within my quarters.
We consider it an honour to attend such an event, and will bring with us gifts to celebrate your coronation. And will conclude with a wish of good luck for the period of your rule.

Cracking his fingers, Indigo sat back as the responses slowly crept through the regular communication channels. Most certainly, he had actually gained much more attention than he expected. Events such as these were seldom successful, and although just seven nations were being represented here at the Coronation, it was a beginning which the Lord was rather satisfied with. He did expect for his invitation to go unnoticed, and yet he even managed to gain the attention of a few nations he could consider of great status, though he was unwilling to admit their names.
Nevertheless, the servants were working tirelessly to prepare for the cermony itself, and soon the formal instructions would be sent to each of the attending guests. Hopefully though, more would choose to attend, for it was a pleasure for every, single one.

Prophetic words are those to take to heart. Never underestimate what an ancient of any creed has past written. Regarding this, I see it fit to attend the Birth of your Great Dynasty. The Blood Dynasty I can only imagine to be Strong in the furture, as it takes one who is Strong to unite an Empire of Many Kingdoms. If what has been said in the Past will come true in the Future, I should attend for the Moment when your Dyansty is United. With this, I hope to see a friendship form.

Indigo reclined into his chair when a small balding man entered his presense. And although he had been relaxing, he was not angered by this disruption, considering the Coronation was of upmost importance. This indeed was a special time for the nation, and leaders did require a level head. Holding a scroll in his hand, the man bowed to his Master, and handed it over. With a quick wisp of action, Indigo took the manuscript, and read it alone, sending the man away. He was, pleased that Knootoss had decided to also attend his event, and he was, proud of such a fact. Others too had also send their RSVPs.

Anatoba City, Second Kingdom of the Blood Dynasty
Looking one last time into his visible reflection, Indigo drew a deep breath and relaxed his muscles instantaneously. Thick as it was, he still did require oxygen if he wanted to maintain consciousness throughout the entire ceremony; very desirable indeed. Having not seen anyone since the shift from life to death, he was unsure how his guests would react to the changes. And yet an aurora of confidence surrounded him, making him appear as one very powerful individual. This was probably something which would also be remembered within the historical halls of VERITAS, and so making his proper entrance into the political scene was quite important, especially if he did want to leave an everlasting impression positive for the soon to be Blood Dynasty of Austar Union.
Collar high upon his neck, Indigo appeared to be rather sleek; not so much sneaky, but a being of individuality and honor. His jacket hung low to the ground, and his trousers fit him perfectly. Of course he had the costume completely tailored from scratch, and with the helpful designs created by the humble men who served him, he looked rather like a modern or future version of the stereotypical dead of his type. His costume alone called for applause, although not once would he expect it. Many had come to bless him, and like the proud man he was, he entered the room and took his position upon the stage.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Beings of Every Kind. I can only thank you for joining me at this important ceremony. When I received your letters, I actually was rather surprised at the amount of response which my invitation had received. Most events such as these tend to go unnoticed, and yet here I am today greeting my very important guests of honor.”
Indigo finished greeting his guests, and he left the last sentence to hang for just a moment as his eyes rested on several individuals who were in the small crowd before him. Continuing, he took a stance of pride, most obvious that he was glad of his heritage.
“For centuries, my brothers and sisters by blood have been hoping for such a time as this, where once again we may come from the shadows and take prominence in this nation once again. And the prophecies, although noticed were not believed by all. And yet today comes, the sun sets on an age of men, and rises on an age of tomorrow. It is my firm belief that I am that who the prophecies have spoken; one who is to rise to lead the shadows, to infiltrate and conquer the light which foreshadows these lands. I am only glad to accept this destiny, and I thank the warlords from each of the seven kingdoms for recognising my true worth and potential.”
Looking down to the fore-front row of people, his eyes rested upon seven large individuals. Each was the leading lords of the seven kingdoms, and each were so willing to bring themselves to service of Indigo, who would only soon be proclaimed as Lord of the Blood Dynasty. And so he continued, each passing second one less away from the future awaiting.
“…And I thank each an every one of you friends, for coming to this important event. Truly, you are brothers and sisters alike of this dynasty which we are gathered here to establish. Your names, both of personal and corporate identity have most certainly been written into the chapters of eternity. And so, we come together in these halls to celebrate a victory and reverence to the future. Many kingdoms have risen and fallen, and it is only time for them to come together under one rulingship, under one Lord.”
As if on queue, the great wooden doors slid open, and three men entered the hall at a brisk pace, walking toward Indigo directly. He nodded, and the three men looked around the room, preparing the room for security. People in the audience were however unalarmed, for they had been made aware of what was to come, and it was indeed very harmless. Each of the seven warlords took their positions along the great walkway which ran alongside the crowd, and as they had been made ready another entered the room.
Soft music played as man holding a golden cup walked slowly down the walkway, almost very much like it was a wedding, or something. And he was not worthy of its touch, for he wore the gloves given to him by the leaders of tomorrow. Passing each warlord, the seven men bowed to their knee and paid their respects. This cup was of the prophecy. And when it reached the end, Indigo took the cup softly. Thankfully, the servants had provided each guest with a cup of his own, those being made of silver rather than the gold of the Overlord's.
Indigo paused as everyone held their cups high, following his lead.
“Friends, Brothers and Sisters of this Dynasty, I can only thank you again for your attendance. The coronation of this nation, rebirthed after centuries of waste is probably something to be remembered. And I am only too proud to have said that you were there with me. In tradition, we drink our leaders into their position, and tonight as I drink from the cup of eternity, I hope you can drink with me to the blessings of this empire.”
The crowd seemed pleased with the speeches given. Of course, when he had mentioned the toast some seemed alarmed as to the contents of their cups. However their minds were soon put to rest when they realised that they were not filled with Blood as was Indigo, but rather any drink of their choice. That was the wonder of these silver instruments. He began the pledge.
“To the Blood of men, To those who fought in honor. And to those worthy of praise, we bid you all goodwill. In respect, we request of your spirits existence, that you bless this kingdom, this dynasty. And for millennia to come we stand strong, in death and in unity. For the day of tomorrow is here, and the past is strongly behind. To the dynasty!”
Indigo drank from his cup, and the thirst which he had gained was quenched. And in almost an instant, what had existed was now rebirthed into existence. In the drinking of its blessing, the Blood Dynasty had now officially been created, and it was time for celebration.
OOC: Apoligies for its slight crappyness, but I kinda rushed this post for a bit. Anyway, I would expect that your people are already there and just witnessed the coronation. Now, its up to you all to mingle. Im sure Indigo wouldnt mind speaking to a few of you specifically anyway ;)
Emperor Gorrm drinks from his goblet at the appropo time, as well as Director Thress and his adopted hatchling Khoss. Of course, the hatchling's glass is not filled with any alchoholic beverage, but the drink is taken just the same.
"Quite a ceremony, eh Thress?" Gorrm casts one eye on his 'sister'. She gives him a look as well from the reddish-yellow eyes flanked by a pair of onyx eyelids.
"It is a ceremony much like any other. Ripe with security concerns. The beverage did not have a scent of any known toxins, though. The security is sufficient." She looks about at the assembled peoples with her other eye. "Keep the hatchling close. Any one of these beings could be an abductor."
Khoss looks up at Thress with his bright yellow eyes. "No way! I'd give 'em such a bite. Rarf!" The statement is accentuated with a clopping sound coming from his jaws.
"That's a fine lad. Just got your teeth and you're itching to use them. Hrrr....."
Ilossë, Erasita of the Erasat, had worn a gown of deep, dark blue to the ceremony, accented with swirls of small diamond fragments here and there along her garb. She had ensured that her hair was most exquisite for the evening, and had it tied back into a loose bun while several wavy strands remained in the front. Her best friend, Amaya Cortanus, the half-elven director of the Maiun Mountain Training Facility for NESCOM, was wearing a wine-colored dress of silk, whose hair was pulled into a tight bun to the back of her head. Each looked vey formal and stately, and they exchanged glances throughout the ceremony. The vampirical setting had put them somewhat at tension, and Amaya nearly panicked when the goblet-drinking part came. However, she received a hint to think of anything she wanted, and she would receive it. Therefore, her and Ilossë both received goblets of red wine. Ilossë, being the paranoid type, sniffed it to make sure it was not another substance before taking a drink.
The two then began chatting animatedly when the mingling part of the celebration began. They admired the handiwork of Austarians of old, and were rather comfortable, save they were in a den full of the undead. Ilossë then felt it was time to meet again the man she had met a while back at the VERITAS Summit, and approached him. His back was currently turned against her, and she politely said, "Lord Blue, I wish to yet again introduce myself. Ilossë Eledhwen of the Erasat des Etaros." She bowed, and thus did not see his face when he turned to look at her. Sure, she had seen it throughout the ceremony, but not this close, and it was hoped her reaction would not be one of too much shock...
Amaya looked on, transfixed. She became a little worried being by herself, and nearly jumped when she heard a clomping noise. She looked beside her and saw two Sakkrans seated. She attempted to engage conversation with them, "Ehm, excuse me? Hello...I'm Amaya Cortanus from the Erasat des Etaros." She completed it with a smile, though feeling incredibly stupid.

Indigo smiles as a familar voice rings through-out his ears. Instantly, he recognises it and spins around formally with a twist. He smiles, for he finds that he was correct in his assumption, and offers to take Ilossë's hand in greeting. Indeed, she looks beautiful.
"Ah," he replies to her greeting with a warm smile. She appears to be rather at ease despite the fact the changes made. Physically, he looks no different, and yet there was a distinctive awe about his nature. "Yes Ms. Eledhwen of the Erasat des Etaros, if I may call you that. No need to re-introduce yourself, how could I forget your elegance?"
She appeared somewhat impressed by his friendliness, as if she was expecting to meet a different man. Indigo continued.
"I just want to thank you so much for attending. Your presense here has made all the difference to the happiness I feel today. Indeed, you are a beautiful woman, no offense to your husband of course. I dont think I have heard much from Etaros, despite run-ins with Ilek-Vaad. Otherwise I would be glad to hear of anything you wish to share."
Around the pair, servants wander through the crowd, who's members were evidently enjoying themselves despite the pagen surroundings. Impressed as they seemed however, Indigo and those catering the event only had the physical smiles to gauge from.
Gorrm swivels one yellowed eye to look at the being addressing him, while Thress sniffs the air deeply. Khoss kind of peeks out from behind his sire's robe with his big yellow eyes. A slight tinkling can be heard from Gorrm's scaled head-dress as his snout points to the lady.
"Good cycle to you, Madam Amaya Cortanus. I am the Emperor Gorrm. Here to my side is my hatchling Khoss, and my hatchmate Thress." As he indicates each with his clawed hand, Khoss seems to duck back in, making a low hissing sound, while Thress seems to be sizing up Amaya.
"She's the Director of the Skeen Intelligence Division, so she tends to take security matters with grave seriousness." One eye seemd fixed on Amaya from Gorrm's profiled face. "What did you think of the ceremony?"

Eleanor sat quietly throughout the ceremony, her hands folded neatly in her lap. She wore a black gown of pure gossamer weaved into intricate patterns of darkness and light. It was said that seven girls dreamed seven years to make each of Eleanor's gowns and that was not hard to believe. Nothing so vulgar as a natural cloth or fabric was anywhere to be found tainting the purity of the midnight gossamer. The complex layers of the gown seemed to rise and dance as though in an autumn breeze the entire time, although there was obviously no wind in the inside chamber. Her perfect figure could be seen in loose outline beneath this dance, as unmoving as a statue throughout the speech. Eleanor's regal neck was left bare, this evening, the light gleaming on her alabaster skin. Her raven hair was done up in a fabulous updo. Her face shown with a radiant loveliness that defied human possibility, every line and angle radiating a preternatural aura of nobility and beauty, a trait she noted these vampires seemed to share.
Beside Eleanor sat a boggan man, short, round, and with large bushy eyebrows. He wore a simple black suit with a black tie and kept his special sense for social dynamics, a gift of the boggans, open.
Both fairies drank from their cups at the toast. When the ceremony was over and the time for mingling began, they both stood. Eleanor frowned ever so faintly as she found everyone seemingly paired off for conversation before she could make any contacts. Still...she simply waited for the time being.

The two chancellors of the dual empire Guffingford-Panooly, Solan Rixx, a man of style, elegance and glamour. Unlike his compagnion, the Baron Dominic Templeton who was a stain on the immaculate apperance of Mr Rixx, and they were two completely opposite personalities and their way of dressing underlined that difference. Walking along the leaders of a more civilized, yet unknown world - to both of them. Living in a world of conflict, Mr Rixx and Baron Templeton wandered among leaders of some of the most remote and unknown realms of the earth. Yes, they heard about them and even saw them in textbooks, but this was a quite personal experience.
'Did you enjoy the ceremony Mr Rixx?' The Baron leaned a bit on the arm-rest of his chair whispering this question like he made an indecent proposal. When you looked at the face of the Baron, Mr Rixx began to wondered, next to finding a suitable answer to the Baron's question, how on earth this man was allowed to be part of this most exclusive ceremony.
'Well, it was really something to witness, I mean, it is pretty nice of the Austrian leadership to invite you, as a Panoolian who has witnessed, well, the whole Austar Union vs Holy Panooly cold war hybrid.'
'Yes indeed, I have never been here before, have you?'
I have to dissappoint you there Baron, this is also my first visit.' The baron looked the other way, at some of women walking around, giving the subtle hint of the conversation being terminated. Solan Rixx, not impressed by this arrogance and walked away to the bar.
While drinking unearthly quantities of pure Scotch and gin, one eye was constantly focussed on the baron. Jesus, how could a man go to a party of this calibre wearing the same clothes a worker of this nation wears? I cannot comprehend why anyone still wears the same fur hat every day or why he brushes his teeth once a week. The greasy hair, with the same stench of sour butter, was almost like some sort of tracking device. If you have a sensitive nose, you can smell his presence. The Baron, not occupied by any moral questions of his clothing staggered around in his own way while drinking the finest wines and champagnes like it is ordinary beer from the first idiot who knows how to brew.
Lord Rose, First Chancellor of the Edhel Harandor of Onarr raised his cup in salute along with the others, sipping without any display of alarm or concern. His seemingly blasé attitude was partly his own confidence, but also inspired in part by the countless warding and protection charms worn around.
His clothing was what one might expect, long robes of gold-adorned white with the red rose symbol of his house embroidered carefully upon the back of his outer robe, if one looked closely it could be noticed that the rose itself was made up of hundreds of other flowers and symbols - symbolising his position at the head of his government, beneath only the King and Queen.
Slightly behind and to his left stood Leyania, her ghostly form rippling slightly to winds from another plane as the banshee walked. To her right stood Edyn, the young Lord Bluebell in his robes of white and blue. The symbology of these two acompanying the Lord Rose was obvious to any who knew of the Edhel Harandor (not many, it must be admitted) - the unity of Seleighe and Unseleighe.
[[Will post Lord Rose actually doing something when I have more time]]
Austar Union
Ilossë did not see much change in the man she had met before, save he was rather pale and seemed to hold a look of great knowledge and beauty that had not existed before. She smiled at him cordially as she removed herself from her bow. She was indeed impressed by his very kind attitude and manner, and responded with a deserving compliment, "You are a truly amazing person, Lord Blue. May your Dynasty last an eternity." Then, after taking a sip of red wine, she continued in order to answer his question. "Yes, our nations have had...little..contact since the Summit." Her face then turned into a remarkable frown at the mention of Ilek-Vaad. "And the Free Republic has been absolutely nothing less than a thorn in our sides. The First Republican is, I personally believe, a dolt. And their foreign minister.." She made a derisive snort. "It is such a shame his presence nearly spoiled the Unity Island Conference. But, alas, this celebration is reason to talk of good and worthy things, not mere gossip." The Erasita winked at him and continued. "I do remember you telling a little about your nation at the Summit, though I'm sure much has changed now. So, how does the Blood Dynasty operate, if you would not mind to tell me?" Ilossë took another sip of wine as she listened, nodding respectfully to exhibit that she was paying very close attention.
Sakkra
Amaya, quite simply, was captivated by those of Sakkra. She looked them over with a keen interest, trying not to look as if she was being too observational. She nodded politely to each Sakkran as they were introduced, and smiled pleasantly at the hatchling. She assumed that these were all alien terms for "wife" and "child", though had a faint suspicion that Thress was not the Emperor's only hatchmate.
The half-elven woman looked Gorm in the eye when she spoke. Their bright green radiance observed as she spoke, fluttering only slightly. "Oh, the ceremony. Goodness...it was very..interesting. I must admit I was slightly intimidated, though not too much. It was truly something to witness -- I've never personally seen people of the non-living status before this ceremony." She attempted to use any term other than "vampire", sensing that it might offend someone. She took a sip of her red wine before continuing. "And yourselves?" Amaya had a sudden thought that the Sakkran was probably not intimidated in the least by the vampirical setting, and suddenly felt as if she had asked a ridiculous question. However, she allowed to Gorm to answer as he saw fit. As he answered, Amaya glanced to her left when she noticed a beautiful fairy, and made a mental note to tell Ilossë to talk to the magnificent dignitary when she got the chance. Quickly, she looked back at Gorm and gave her attention as he continued speaking.
The two Edolians said nothing, but watched the guests move across the room. Flavia von Blätterschplitt, daughter of the Impërator and Heir to the Scarlet Throne was dressed in a long, elaborate red dress. The black collar covered most of her neck and the dress was fastened along the front, giving it an Asiatic flair that was quite popular in the Scarlet Empire these days. She was in her early fifties, and although age had taken much of her beauty, she carried with her a palpable sense of elegance. Her companion, Aradna von Ërbin stood at her side, dressed in a green dress of similar cut. For some minutes after the opening ceremony, the two stood quietly, mulling over the events that had just transpired and slowly sipping their absinthe-filled goblets. Von Blätterschplitt was the first to speak. “A vampire.” The other woman nodded thoughtfully. “Intelligence suggested that something was odd in regards to Lord Blue, but this is still quite a surprise.”
“I wonder what your father will say,” Aradna replied.
“I doubt it will make much difference,” von Blätterschplitt said shortly. “We have been instructed to build relations with the Austar Union. It doesn’t matter what kind of beings they are.” There was another minute of silence. Neither woman seemed particularly sure of whom to speak to. Normal Edolian style would have been to walk up directly to their hosts and begin a conversation, but Lord Indigo Blue was occupied. “Aradna. I believe that we should begin to mingle.” Aradna von Ërbin nodded and Flavia began to lead her towards Solan Rixx of Guffinford, who stood at the bar.
“Good evening, sir,” Flavia said courteously. “My name is Flavia von Blätterschplitt from the Socialist Empire of Edölia. If my country’s intelligence service is not incorrect, you are Solan Rixx of Guffinford-Panooly.”

She was certainly impressed by the ceremony, as she sipped from her goblet.
Ianuam was always the formal type, and how she was dressed portrayed this expertly. Her face was a canvas of maple butter, sharp features distinguishing hard won experience and wisdom while keeping the treasure of youth. He hair was sleek and black, tied back and reaching to her waist. Ianuam's stance alone was pretentious, standing upright to the fullest and thin to the point of nauseation. It was a dark beauty Ianuam held, one of a deep spirituality, but it was consuming no less.
Ianuam's eyes were the most drawing feature of her. A vibrant, Citrus Orange. They were resonate of religion itself. The High Priest was the utmost authority of Aliliah, and a prophet of the highest stature.
"Death is such a silly thing. No?"
Ianuam nodded to the painting she was having a conversation with.

'Good evening to you Milady. I'm indeed Solan Rixx. Current leader of Guffingford, the other half is governened by that one over there.' He pointed quickly at Baron Templeton, who was harassing several other female guests. Solan Rixx was terribly ashamed of the Baron's behaviour, he heard guests whispering what kind of barbarian from which backwards land he was.
His attention was back to Flavia. He knew nothing of a nation called Edolia, it was indeed a whole new world. Thank God they didn't know how I came to power in Guffingford or what my plans are. With his most kind voice he asked: 'Are you enjoying your evening? The ceremony was most impressive, but I have not expected anything less from Austar Union. Their exquisite style and taste for a good party are unmatched, I must say.'
In the meantime Baron Templeton was making most offensive and rude jokes about ehtnic minorties, trying to look under balldresses while spreading his godawful stench. He was an unwelcome guest, but he had to be invited. Solan Rixx doesn't represent the Guffingford-Panooly Dual Empire. With red on his cheeks of shame, he turned again to Flavia, in hopes of forgetting his terrible compagnion, who was screaming after a waiter refused to give him more wine after he dropped a teriffic Yquem on the carpet leaving a red stain there.
“Yes,” Flavia agreed, nodding politely to Rixx, “Lord Blue certainly does have a certain… style.” Looking over at the Baron, she gave Rixx a sympathetic smile. “Your companion is… quite interesting. I read up briefly on the recent histories of nations who would be sending guests to the coronation. Are all Panoolians-” she stopped, a strange look on her face “-I hope I got the adjective right.” She started again. “Are all Panoolians like that?”

Eleanor turned, gliding towards Ianuam with a light smile playing upon her features. Her shadows fell back slightly to show her face as she studied the other woman. "Rather interesting ceremony, was it not?"
Sakkra, Etaros
The boggan walked towards where Amaya spoke with the Sakkrans, picking up on a most interesting dynamic. A broad smile marked his round face as he approached, clasping his hands behind his back and waiting for an appropriate moment to introduce himself.

"Indeed. I'm pleased that the Seven Kingdoms are One under Indigo. He's surely One of the Valliant."
Ianuam turned from the painting to address with a nod, shock, something animate.
"Ianuam, High Priest of Alliliah Valliance. Pleasure to meet you."
Gorrm craned his neck upwards, looking over the majority of the people about even though he remained seated. "The ceremony was interesting. It is quite different than what we have for coronations, but that is expected." His eye swivels downward as his neck seems to pulse a bit. "It seems the penchant for flowery language carries through, whether living or otherwise, amongst mammals."
Thress turns her head at Gorrm, keeping one eye on Ayama. "The difference being no test of intestinal fortitude, such as your sire did with you." A short whiff escapes from her nostrils at this, and her other eye lands on the Boggan approaching. She sniffs the air deeply at the approaching fae.
Khoss seems to have set both eyes on the fae. Normally, in adults, this is a dangerous sign. But in hatchlings, it's a sign of utmost curiosity. "Look, Sirrah! It's a strange person. Who are you?"

Eleanor simply arched a brow at Ianuam. "I am not quite sure what you mean." Her preternturally radiant face smiled a slight, subtle smile. "I am Eleanor ni Ailil, Queen of Wintermore."
The boggan blinked twice at the hatchling, bushy eyebrows waggling. "Why, my name is Terrence. And who might you be?"
The hatchling sitting between the Emperor and Director Thress seems to inflate a bit. His minute crest on his head twitches a bit while his neck seems to grow slightly bigger. "I am Khoss, of the Rr Line. Heir to the Herpetological Empire." At this, Gorrm elbows him slightly in the shoulder.
"Your manners, Khoss. We are guests, and this is not the time to trumpet about. Remember your teachings." Gorrm leans back once more and continues talking with Amaya.
The hatchling seems to take on an abashed air at his admonishment. "Rrrmmmm....My name is Neonate Khoss. I'm studying to be a great leader, like my Sire." A small clawed hand is extended.
Amaya grinned at Khoss, and couldn't help but find it's blunt language rather amusing. She turned to look up at the Boggan with admiration, and smiled. "And my name is Amaya Cortanus, Director of the Maiun Mountain Training Facility for NESCOM. It's a pleasure to meet you, Terrence." She allowed the Boggan to continue conversation with Khoss as she carried on with her talk with Gorm.
"Ah, well yes, we're all very particular about giving the biggest and greatest speeches. I'm not really sure as to why, but it is truly a captivating thing for mammals, as you say. Or sentient ones, at least." She gave a small wink at the end of her statement. "I'm afraid, however, that I know very little of your culture. I mean not to be rude, but I'd be honored to hear of it a little, though I understand you may not wish to indulge yourself in a lengthy explanation." She took a sip of wine yet again, while observing the Boggan named Terrence with growing curiousity, all the same listening to the Emperor speak of the culture of the Sakkrans.

Terrence looked to Gormm silently, both bushy brows shooting up a little as he adjusted himself, puffing out his rotund chest and taking a huff of air. He drew himself up to his full five feet with boots on. "Yes, yes, of course. It is quite nice to meet you, Neonate Khoss." He extended a hand, shaking the hatchling's claw. "You as well, my lady." he said, smiling shyly at Amaya. "I am terribly sorry to have bothered you. If there's anything you need, I'll be over by Her Majesty."
Terrence gestured briefly to the figure of Eleanor, standing elegantly next to Ianuam. He smiled nervously. "It was nice to meet you, Neonate." He said as he turned, moving back to Eleanor's side.
Eleanor turned to look at Terrence's arrival, frowning in slight annoyance which rippled across her shining visage like a distubance on the surface of a lake.
'Hrrrmmmm...." Gorrm strokes some small leathery tendrils on his chin. "That is a difficult question. For one matter, the coronation ceremony I went through involved musicians, feats and a drinking contest between the present Emperor and the Ascending Heir, which was myself. This is to show that even intoxicated, the Emperor can still be of regal bearing. If one fails that test, then the next in line would ascend the throne, which would have been Thress."
"It was a position I neither desired nor would hold well in." She observes Terrence make his retreat, and lowers one eye on Khoss, who looked no small measure of embarrassed. His head looked like it nearly got sucked into his chest.
Gorrm continues on. "In fact, nearly every function involves a massive feast and a plentitude of beverages. Delegates with empty stomachs make for poor company, after all. But if you have questions, I would be willing to answer them. We are nothing if not honest, even to our detriment at times."

Terrence stood quietly beside Eleanor, not presuming to address the priestess. He looked at the ground, a bit taken aback and hu,iliated He managed not to see the Neonate for a good while, though he eventually caught the deflated looking Khoss out of the corner of his eye. Terrence made a small effort of will to stay where he was, but he could not long resist the weakness of all boggans. A few moments later, he returned to the Neonate with a soft smile. "I'm sorry if I upset you. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Empress Aurora, a golden haired girl with blue eyes, wearing a brocaded cloak embroidered with bees and beneath that a gown of white and blue lace that made it seem as though she was dressed in flowers, raised her goblet in salute as the Lord Indigo drank. A smile came to her lips, and she rather shyly perused the company surrounding her. Accompanying her were the slender Baron Ehrfurt, in black and silver coat, and the buxom Baroness Toll. At her feet crouched the powerful dappled form of her leopard and constant companion, Thirty Camelias. She quietly nodded to Baron Ehrfurt and said, "Please, with my compliments."
With a bow, Baron Ehrfurt took up a small lacquer box and approached the Lord Indigo's chief servant apparent and said quietly, "May I present this to your Lord on my Empress' behalf, or is there a better time to do this at?"

He walked a path that led to this position, purely by coincidence and luck. After one of the many civil wars in Holy Panooly he was one of the few who got a firm grip on the southern islands where all the oil his. Though you wouldn't believe it, that man is a multi-billionaire.' Solan Rixx was still looking a bit sad, but the friendly and kind face of Flavia cheered him up. 'Holy Panooly was once the most bitterest enemy of Austar Union. You know, their fascist leaders supported terrorism and such... That's why it's quite special a Panoolian is invited.'
A loud noise came from about twenty feet away when the Baron tripped over his own feet and was yelling and cursing while letting himself fall in a chair.

Etaros
Indigo chuckled as Ilossë snickered toward the Ilek-Vaadians. He too found their leaders simply amazing, and despite this was a cross-genetical conversation, already the deathly leader found common with the woman from Etaros, very well dressed indeed. He was quick to take mental notes about his surroundings, having served in the military before. It was only natural, and it was said that the training you recieve lasts you the lifetime you live. Somewhat unfortunatley, this meant an eternity for Indigo, unless of course someone was to attempt an assassination upon his life.
"Ah the Blood Dynasty." he responded with a knowledgable tone, "As part of the history of my people, it would be important to note that it is made up of seven sub-sections exactly, known as kingdoms. Each of the seven warlords were in fact kings who presided over their kingdoms respectively. Now under the influence of the Blood Pact, they are all answerable to me personally. I tend to leave them to organise themselves as they wish, but in this Dynasty we have one set of laws. Sort of like the USR if you would know what I mean, but with a more central government. Namingly myself of course."
He smiled and awaited any further questions. Hoping he had answered her questions properly, he commented lightly how impressed he had been that she was genuinely interested, rather than simply someone to be polite and appear interested.
Lavenrunz
The chief servant smiled at the presence who had approached him. In absolute respect he replied in kind.
"Ah, I can take it to him if you wish." he whispered to Baron Ehrfurt, "Or you can simply present it yourself. Either way is fine, Lord Indigo will be impressed and thankful that you and your Empress even bothered."

For some time now the servants catering for the ceremony had taken notice of the presense of Baron. Indeed, he was a troublesome one and the last thing they wanted was to cause disruption through the event. Faced with a dilemma, they had to choose between being somewhat rude, or allowing other guests to become uncomfortable. After careful consideration, and after they noted the large crash and disruption he was causing, they decided to act the first. Approaching him as discreetly as possible, one of the head servants tapped Baron on the shoulder and whispered in his ear.
"Excuse me sir, with all due respect. I have been instructed to ask you to retain your self-control please. I mean no offense whatsoever, but if you are unable to hold yourself in a respectable manner I will have no choice but to have you removed."
Edolia
John tapped his right breast as he checked that the note was still there. And approaching Flava from Edolia, he also checked his breath before he arrived. Discreetly slipping her the note from his pocket, he didnt wait around for her to read, simply assuming she would. It was a personal one from Indigo himself;
Apoligies for the rudeness, however I found it important to notify you that I intend to approach you on a matter I am considering, call it a national project if you like. Anyhow, it does concern you and your government if I do want it to occur as I like. When I gain a free moment, perhaps even after the event maybe I will come to.
Lord Indigo Blue
Flavia nodded again as Solan Rixx gave his explanation for the Panoolian’s behavior. Capitalism, she thought to herself, someone disdainfully. She didn’t let that thought show on her face, which remained dignified, amiable and open. “The Scarlet Empire –that’s what we generally call ourselves-” she added, “used to be allies of the Austar Union, when both our nations were members of the United Alliance of Progressive States. If I remember correctly, the Austarians withdrew from the alliance during the UnAPS-Allanea Conflict over some misunderstandings involving other allies. Now that the UnAPS is dissolved, Edölia finds itself without a concrete base of allies, except for other members of the Union of Socialist Republics, and we are working to create a network of different groups.” She stopped suddenly, realizing that something had just been placed into her pocket. The princess’ first reaction was to look quickly over at the Panoolian to see if he had been attempting to feel her up. Upon seeing that he was engaged in conversation with what looked like an Austarian waiter, she brought her hand down to her pocket and pulled out the note. Reading over it quickly, she looked around, trying to see who had given it to her. Seeing no one, she shook her head and faced Rixx again. “I’m sorry,” she said, “you were saying?”

Eleanor frowned a little more at her escorts behavior. She inclined her head politely to the priestess. "Excuse me for just one moment."
The queen walked briskly, sliding her arm through Terrence's, and continuing towards the back. She gave the Sakkrans and Amaya a half-apologetic smile. "Excuse us for just a moment."
As they walked towards the back, she spoke harshly under her breath. "Stop making a fool of yourself. I brought you here because I thought I could trust you to handle this. Don't huff up at every little insult. File them away for the future but don't act like you notice them until the proper moment. And, once you walk away, don't go back. It just looks foolish."
Eleanor left him near the back, where he stood quietly for the moment and frowned after her. She politely returned to the priestess, smiling warmly. "I'm terribly sorry about that."

Baron Ehrfurt walked up to the Lord Indigo, clicking his heels and bowing as only Lavenrunzians could, saying, "My Lord, on behalf of Her Teutonic Majesty Empress Aurora, I present to you this gift." as he put forward the lacquer box he opened it in a slow careful gesture, showing that inside was a little group of Lavenrunzian soldiers, courtiers, priests, ladies and pet leopards, moving in a clockwork procession of salute, as the box played softly but splendidlyt the Austar-Union's national anthem.

Fortunatley, Baron of Lavenrunz had arrived to Indigo's position in perfect timing, so that he was not interupting the conversation which was held between himself and the lady beside him, from Etaros. Apparently, it seemed she didnt mind that Indigo paused the conversation for a moment for him to take attention to the gift given. And as shown its splendor, he seemed mighty pleased indeed.
"Oh my," he commented in awe, "My word. I thankyou immensely. It is possibly the most beautiful gift given to me or anyone for that matter."
Baron seemed pleased that Indigo was satisfied with the gift, and allowed Indigo to continue.
"Sir, send a message to your Empress. Tell her I found the gift simply amazing. Tell her for certain, a beautiful future of relations is dancing just upon the horizon.", he told Baron, bowing slightly to him in respect. And after Baron had left, or continued to do whatever he chose, he continued the conversation with the lady, from Etaros.

Solan Rixx, still busy in his thoughts with the Baron and the ridiculous show he was giving away. He caught the Austians calming the baron and gently asking him to be quiet or be forced to leave. Solan Rixx contiued talking to Flavia 'Well, the Holy Panooly conflict was spurred by the madness of several other nations. By this day, Holy Panooly's days as a nation of any meaning are over. We have conquered vast lands and continue our quest. It never stops.' Solan Rixx was about to say he also served a socialist regime, national socialist but didn't quite knew if she would approve nazism. The last thing he wanted was an endless preach on how bad national socialism is...
Baron Templeton was now lying on a couch sleeping, his fur hat fell off his head so now everybody could smell his hair - without the protective layer known as his hat. While sleeping he was coughing up green slime and spitting it on the ground. A human-free zone of 6 feet was around the Baron, avoiding looking at him or even trying to think of him.

Black out! What is this silly thing you call a memory? Remembering things, Hah! Such a novel idea. Don't test Ianuam's short term memory, now. She's liable to forget where she is at times.
"Either way, it's a pleasure to meet you. Have you been enjoying the corronation? Quite formal."
Smile!
Flavia nodded, understandingly to the man from Guffinford. “We in Haven also know of the madness of nations. When fools govern empires, pain and suffering area always the end result.” She looked behind her briefly, and seeing her companion unoccupied, she bowed deeply to the man from Guffinford. “Forgive me. With a thoughtful look in Lord Indigo's direction, she reached down and petted Thirty Camelias.
Baroness Toll said quietly, "Majesty, if I may suggest...now is not a time to be shy."
Aurora looked at her and said equally softly, "I'm not my mother. They'll all think: oh look, a teenaged head of state--who really runs the country?"
Baroness Toll smiled a small smile. "Then it's high time you showed them, if I may make so bold, Majesty."

'My pleasure Milady' Solan Rixx looked at the women walking away from him. Ah the elegance, the ignorance. I wish I was sill like that, not aware of the dangers that lurk or the powers that be. The Baron was still coughing up slime while asleep, the wretched man. I should be the leader of Holy Panooly, not him. If only... No. Not tonight, and certainly not here.
Solan Rixx moved over to the other side of the hall, where he spotted Indigo. Like the Baron -unable to walk in a straight line- he went to see Indigo, and have a small chat with him, and to compliment him on his fine taste for wine and other delicious spirits. This was a strange world, still. A nation called Edölia? He never heard of them. Probably some communist mudpool he thought. After thinking this, he felt somewhat guilty. Flavia is a nice person and very kind and polite... But who cares? I don't.

The Goblin delegate, Prince Gripwurd Zippinattyr, was one of the CGC’s Great Goblins. He was, unusually for a Goblin, reasonably civilised and relatively well-spoken. He is about five and a half feet tall, with dark green skin, the obligatory long pointy nose and long, pointed ears that were both pierced in the tip with a gold, diamond-studded ring. His hair is a bright yellow, and his beard a neatly trimmed purple Vandyke. He wears a black suit, embroidered down the sleeves with silver and gold, silver, gold and diamond jewellery adorn his wrists and neck (Goblins like shiny things).
Walking with him was Duke Owzat Slikstik, who governed Bluwurld for the Goblin King. Owzat was a Bladegoblin – one of the species that had originally guarded the Goblin royals and now formed part of the Goblin elite. Owzat wore a suit of similar design to the Prince’s, although his bore less ornamentation and is more designed to draw attention to his height of six foot – very tall among Goblins, and his thinness (this is a common trade among Bladegoblins, who are also named for their physical similarity to their narrow weapons). At his hip was a slender sword, the emerald-ornamented hilt giving it the impression of being a fashion accessory and a tribute to his bodyguard ancestors. Owzat’s skin is pale, although his hair is a bizarre streaked combination of yellow, orange and red.
The pair had arrived before the coronation, but had been largely overlooked in favour of Lord Blue’s speech, although they were now causing a small commotion among the serving staff (assuming that snacks are being handed around) due to their apparent determination to produce the most bizarre mix of flavours imaginable. The two noblegoblins from Goblin City headed over to their host, waiting politely until he had finished his current conversation.

Eleanor extended a hand to Ianuam, palm down. "Eleanor ni Ailil, Queen of Wintermore. We were just speaking." Despite being somewhat surprised at the woman's lack of memory, she smiled brightly. "Unfortunately, I am afraid I am quite unfamiliar with Allilaih Valliance. Perhaps you might enlighten me, Reverence?"
Seeing movement from the Empress of Lavenrunz, Eleanor looked over and gave Aurora her most winning smile, invitationally. She then turned back to Ianuam, though at such an angle and such a distance as to clearly make a space for newcomers to join the conversation.
Austar Union
Terrence, for his part, returned to the place where he and Eleanor had originally been seated. He retrieved a package from beneath his seat and approached the chief servant. A gift for His Imperial Majesty from the Queen of Wintermore."

Ilossë was extremely skilled at hiding her true feelings and conveying false ones, and this event was one where she was very able to test that strength. When the messenger from Lavenrunz arrived to interrupt their conversation, she felt a deep fire burning within her. She then became extremely jealous, as that was the elf's nature, and peered in the direction of the Empress. Her jealousy faded somewhat at the sight of the young leader, though she was still rather angry. Ilossë hated it when others were able to do more than her, and had not expected anyone to bring a gift, or she herself would have brought the most magnificent one of all. She, however, continued her conversation with Lord Blue after the interruption left.
"Ahh, very interesting. I am aware of the USR's political structure, though I cannot say that I understand it completely. In any case, I wish your government the best." She smiled and sipped her red wine. "I don't want to be rude, but I have to ask if anything will be altered in our relations or in your foreign actions due to the latest...erm..changes..in your society.." She looked rather apologetic for asking, but felt it was a necessary question.

OOC: Sorry for the late reply. I kinda got caught up with something, such as setting my girlfriend's car on fire accidently, so I didnt exactly get online. Anyhow, heres my response you have been waiting for :)
Guffingford
Already, the chief servants had spoken to Baron, apparently to no avail. With a sly frown upon his face, Gregory prepared himself for what he was requested of. Evidently, Indigo had noticed, and if the master of the house had noticed, it was surely time for the servants to act on behalf of the Lord. He presented a smile upon his face, making sure he would do it as discreetly as possible. And with a stun laser hidden deep in his pocket, he was certain to be successful.
Leaving the hidden back-room, Gregory approached Baron of Guffingford as calmly and as discreetly as possible, not only to respect Baron himself (though he probably lacked the deservant-hood), but others in attendance of the coronation itself. Tapping him on the shoulder, Gregory whispered into his ear.
"My apoligies sir," he began, hiding his nerves very well indeed, "But I will have to ask you to leave. No offense to you or your nation at all of course. I do not want to react forcefully, so please, come with me and I will lead you to somewhere safe."
In the meantime, apparently with the lack of knowledge of the other attendees, Gregory had withdrawn the stun-laser ready for emergency use. If nessasary, he would use it.

Indigo had indeed been talking with the elf from Etaros. Unfortunatly, he never even considered the idea of cloning himself, finding it rather impossible to carry a conversation without interuption. Peaceful interuption however, and so he didnt mind, too much. Turning toward the Goblin, he hid his scowl. Indeed, the creature was particularly, un-beautiful. Of coruse, if he had let on surely he ought to be maimed, raped, and killed. As a national leader, he most definatly had to keep his personal feelings and attitudes at bay.
Offering his hand, with the most effort possible, he smiled at the Goblin, "Hello, thankyou for attending. I was actually looking forward to your peoples representation here at the coronation. Supposedly, you are the only real Goblins here, and I do agree that everyone needs some form of representation at events such as these. You are probably the first of your kind in the world I have knowledge of."
His tone notably, was polite and gentle, despite the lunch inside of him which was attempting to rebirth itself all over the conversation's intruder.
The Resurgent Dream
The chief servant looked over, and smiled at the man who stood before him. Noting he was holding a package, he smiled and took it replying with the utmost decency.
"Ah, I thank you sir for you generosity. Truly, your nation ought be blessed for its honor. I shall present the gift to Lord Indigo when he has a spare moment. I see now that he is rather busy", he responds nodding in the general direction of the keeper of this house.
Etaros
Indeed, this conversation was being interupted at every turn. And yet when he did gain a spare moment to reply to the Lady of Etaros, he smiled at her and managed to stiffle a giggle, politely of course.
"Oh my Lady," he responded lightly, "Im sorry. Of course our relations will remain the same. We may be different peoples, and our society may function differently, but we are all beings in this universe, and if we were to disconnect ourselves at every shift we would have just ourselves and the proverbial dog."
He smiled for a moment then continued, "Honestly, our peoples can only grow closer. Afterall, did we not still invite you?"
He smiled peacefully, hoping he had calmed any problems or concerns she held.

The Goblins were not really all that repulsive, an interesting skin colour, long, pointing noses and ears, and a somewhat psychadellic hair colour, yes. Repulsive no...now, one of the "common Goblins", would be, but the Great Goblins and BladeGoblins were reasonably human-esque.
Regardless of whatever Indigo may think of the two Goblins, the Prince's gloved hand shook that of the Austar Union's leader. Zippinattyr's grip with firm and confident.
"Thank yezz fur letting uz come, Mizter Blue. Az far azz we know, we'z der only Goblinz in da univerze, and it iz a deloight ta be here."
The Goblin grinned, showing perfect white teeth, each sharply pointed.
"We ain't da only Goblinz in dis wurld, on account've we iz not from here. Da Goblin Land iz in a Nebula a bit ov a way from here, but I waz visiting a few friendz of mine in da area, and thought it would be a useful opportunity."
The Goblin's tone was also polite, and surprisingly melodious despite his accent, an accent much fainter than that of many other Goblins.
With an air of confidence James deGritz, the benevolent dictator of Iuthia walked in with Liessa Valleron, his soon to be wife, by his side. They were a little late, though they had caught the majority of the speach and had otherwise kept a low key presence in the Hall. Of course, James and Liessa were about to get married themselves and their schedules were rather pacted with tailors, designers and all the normal organisational points going through them for confirmation.
Both Liessa and James wearing some of their finest formal wear for the Royal Court, though their opinions on "finest" vastly differed, James wearing his formal military attire, sybolising his title of Lord General of Iuthia. Meanwhile his fiancee was wearing a simple yet stylish formal white gown.
Liessa had a taste for simple clothes; she rarely wore anything with too many colours or intricate patterns as she preferred to wear something which was beautiful without trying too hard. At the moment she simply wore a white dress with matching shoes and choker, which went well with her fair skin. Her elven ears were clearly visible as they peeked out from her long straight hair which flowed down her back, a river of hazel brown.
She seemed short in comparison to James and pretty much ever other woman at the ball, being only 5 feet tall and, like many elves in Iuthia, rather thin. However she had a carefully defined face, almost like that of a princess from a fairy tale, her elven features only adding to her beauty.
James himself was getting on to be in his late forties, a stark contrast from his girlfriend Liessa who clearly looked to be in her mid-twenties, even though she was getting on to be three times his age. He was a cleanly shaven man who had retained his dignity while aging, he still had all of his hair and most of it still had it’s usual dark brown colour in it’s shortly cut military style. James kept good care of himself, especially with some of the previous encounters he had, he intended to stay alive for sometime. Meanwhile he simply wore his formal attire which resembled a generals uniform, but only slightly as it had been improved upon to mark his higher-then-general rank.
He was a reasonably simple man, although simple isn’t the same as stupid, he preferred to use the simplest solution to a problem when it was possible, though these days seemed to be less simple then he would like them to be, with many nations declaring war over the smallest slight, it was hard to stay entirely simple when dealing with them. However, this wasn’t a problem now, he would be out of the nation for a while and he could leave many of these problems to his capable staff at home.
The two walked hand in hand, looking around at the magnificant decor of the great hall, they had come from a nation which prefered a building which concentrated on defence and practicality... they just didn't have the artisans with the imagination to make something like this.
Along with them was a tall fair haired man in a black suit, clearly security but without any obvicous weapons, though in truth detections wouldn't have found any simply because he wasn't wearing any. What he was carrying however was relatively small a darkwood box, already checked by security to be safe as far as the event was concerned.

Yes, perhaps Indigo had been too presumous the first time he looked at the goblin. Indeed, the one standing before him was somewhat different from what was expected. A funny saying indeed, What You See, Is What You Believe. It was quite true that he had been expecting a disgusting creature and so already his opinion was already biased towad the negative. And yet taking a second look at the Goblin, he found that it was untrue, his digust was indeed rather false.
He nodded in reply, "Ah, so I have much to learn. Tell me about your peoples. Your nation appears to be the "new kid on the block", proverbially of course."

"Bah," proclaimed Indigo with a snort, "It is my personal desision that I rather experience something, rather than to be simply informed about them. Of course, sometimes there is, no option. However when I do gain the opportunity, I am always open to experience. Knowledge is something sir, and yet experience is another."
He nodded at the creature standing before him, and smiled. Obviously he had given a simple message, perhaps he would learn more about their kind through future dealings.
Edolia
OOC:Sorry buddy, I have been thinking of how to approach you and Indigo is quite tied up at the moment, but then I considered this...
Indeed, Israel had been possibly up until now a secret man within the ranks of society. This nation had not ignored him as such, but had rather failed to realise his true significance in its future, and destiny. At first it may seem that sheer ignorance of his peers could have created such a situation, and yet this, was far from the true. In fact, the situation was rather much more simple, and possibly much more sinister. Such a man as this had to be kept as much as a secret as had, for his destiny, and ability far too large for risk. If dead, future alliances, future wars, and future victories would have been forgotten into the halls of a possible future.
So forcast into the shadow of this world, few would recognise his face as he weaved through the crowd, who were becoming evidently satisfied with the coronation ceremony, and social event itself. And not one but himself and Indigo would know his destination within the halls of death, where the evil one had been proclaimed as God of this nation. Truly, one could speculate however whether it was Indigo, or a darker force leading this nation. If left to fact however, one conclusion only could be reached, and Indigo would be chosen as the successor. Flavia von Blätterschplitt, was indeed the lady whom Israel had been assigned to, for a very special discussion indeed.
As he reached her, she apparently was alone with not one to talk to. He had been monitering her movements, and had decided to move in as soon as she did become available. Now was the perfect time for striking, now he would discuss all that was to become the Ravenspire.
With his hand reaching forward, he opened his mouth and spoke in greeting, "Ah, Flavia von Blätterschplitt, if I may call you that. I have been awaiting the chance to speak to you. Indigo must apoligise for being unable to speak for himself, however as you may note he has been rather bombarded with friends. Anyhow, I speak on his behalf in all matters, and trust me, I have certain authority to do so."
He waited for he response before continuing. She obviously was polite, and yet curious as to what Israel was looking for. He continued with his conversation.
"You can call me Dr. Israel, and I have been placed upon a project known as the Ravenspire," he confidently replied, looking around the room taking in a vivid image of who was listening. "I must apoligise My Lady, there are many ears whom have a habit of listening to important conversation. Perhaps you would care to join me out on the balcony outside."
As he finished his sentance, he motioned slightly with his right hand, toward two double wooden doors. With glass windows covering almost from floor to ceiling, it was obvious that outside was a beautiful balcony overlooking the city, the capital of this nation. Lavished with rich greenry, the balcony would almost seem promising, especially lit only by a full moon as it was. If only the host as such was that of the undead, perhaps she may decline. Too, she could surprise and accept, learning more of the Ravenspire, and any of the Edolian involvement of which Israel obviously desired.
The Edolian princess was intrigued. She nodded to Aradna von Ërbin, signaling her partner to remain inside, and followed Dr. Israel towards the balcony. Taking a minute to look out over the cityscape, she heaved a sigh and smiled at the Austarian. “Well, Dr. Israel,” she said, “I haven’t found myself in this situation before. With what may I help you?”

Israel was rather pleased to be now standing upon the balcony outside. Already, the Ravenspire was promising success. One however, ought not be hasty, for the Edolians had not yet accepted. Still, if Flavia was as interested as she appeared, perhaps it would indeed be safe to assume that the princess would be positive toward such a notion as this project. Especially considering, they did require diplomatic relations with nations outside the regional circle. Since the apparent crumble of UnAPS, Haven had hardly recieved the stability it required, much of it turning to a hotbed of tension. War, had almost come many times, and the region whilst filled with responsible nations (to a degree), was now much more dangerous than ever. Hence, hopefully as expected, the Edolians would be open to such an ideas as the Ravenspire.
The shorter man smiled and reached into his pocket for a small device. Opening his jacket, he reached into its inner lining and presented onto the balcony wall a small pyramid device. And looking over at the princess she appeared as cautious, yet intrigued never-the-less. And her curiousity was rewarded, for only seconds later a diagram in three dimension levitated over the device which was now glowing a yellow like no other. Some might say like the sun, or like the moon. It was undescribable, yet beautful at the same time. The device, indeed simple, could capture the imagination of most across the universe. Dr Israel however, was rather accustom to its sheer elegance, and could manage a conversation without distraction.
"I am unsure exactly if you would be interested my Lady, but I know it would be to your greatest interest," he began confidently. A mysterious cloud of energy evidently surrounded him still. "Ravenspire, as it is known, is a project which our national subjects have been working on for some time, and myself as appointed as Project Leader thought it wise to approach you about its nature. See, Ravenspire if successful will be located in Haven. We have numourous friends in that region, including yourself, and we are very much interested in the latest instability in that area."
He paused as a waiter came out to offer them both drinks. He kindly accepted a light glass of something, and waited for the intruder to leave their presense. He smiled at the Edolian lady before him before continuing.
"Spies, come in many forms, and one cannot be too careful." he took a sip of the drink he was now holding. "I fear if some knew what we have been planning for a while now that I, and much of this dynasty will be killed."
Flavia seemed to be somewhat alarmed, yet calm enough. Israel continued yet again.
"Essentially, the Ravenspire is intended to introduce an Austarian military presence into the Havenic region. A large military base you may call it, however the true nature of this base becomes true as your security clearance is raised to just the top levels. Ravenspire is not intended to just protect any assets or friends in the region, but as a research facility for something I like to call 'higher ability'. As such, protection of the base is of a maximum and hence we chose the cover of a military base alone. Of course, with your help in this endeavour, Edolia would recieve benifit for housing such a facility." he said, taking a breath before approaching her formally. "This is why I am asking you princess, for your interest in the project, so that we may begin immediatly. All we need is a small piece of land dedicated to the facility, preferably some kind of island and as near to your homeland as possible. That is of course if you do want to recieve some of the military protection I am willing to offer. See, with such a large presense there, part of our payment would be that our forces stationed in Haven would be willing to defend Edolian shores. If you wish of course."
He paused and waited for her reaction to the offer he was making.

Snap. She shook her head from the dazed state. "Eleanor, I'm sorry myself. I completely blanked out there for a minute..." Eh. Another fit. Her gaze lingered on the painting as she scratched around for conversation to strike up.
"You're not interested in the Oracle in any way, are you? You see, I'm The High Preist of Allilia, utmost head of The Church of Ali. The Church itself really has no Hierarchy though. Quite centralized, in that I'm the only figurehead."

"Ah. Theocracy, is it? Great fun, that. If my memory serves correctly, Allilianism was the State Religion of assorted Nations over time. It's much like the Eastern Shinto or Abrahamic Faiths, although the two can be speculated as entirely different."
Smile faded for a moment as she searched her mind for anything on Danaan.
"Danaan, you say? Can't say I can remember anything of that. Especially for a State Religion, this I should know... Yet alas. Care to enlighten me? I'm a stickler for Religion. Terribly fascinating subject for me, yet I tend to bore most with ramblings on Theology and Religion... I do recall this most humourous affair with the Panserkardinal though. Eleanor shook her head rather emphatically. "Monarchy, somewhere in between absolute and constitutional. We do have a state religion though. We worship Dana, the Mother of the World, as well as her ancient children, the Tuatha de Danaan, from whom my people are descended. Though, to be Danaan in Wintermore is somewhat different from being a Danaan in the rest of the High Kingdom. We have what I would call a 'deeper' interpretation."

Iuthia
Like a bird, Malekai had indeed been watching and scanning the crowd intensely, as if waiting his turn to strike. And although he was so far a man of insignificance, this was rather important in his own, future endeavours. See, like many, Malekai had a dream. And his was rather simple; to be nominated as the official right-hand man of Lord Indigo himself. If he could seize such an opportunity, it would make him a very powerful individual. And as such, taking every moment to increase the likelihood of this happening was taken, for three weeks Malekai had been working tirelessly. Most would not recognise his face outside, but hopefully if he had the favour of men outside these borders, it could significantly weigh into his own dream of snatching power within the Dynasty.
Seeking the opportunity, it had become rather obvious it was available right as he stood, and that to seize it required a step of action. And so he did, noting the presense of Lord General James deGritz from Iuthia. A man most respected of course, could help much in Malekai's personal endeavour. If he had the respect and approval of him, surely Indigo would be willing to turn him into appointment. So at a brisk pace he walked directly toward the Lord General and offered his hand of honor.
"Ah Lord General of Iuthia," he exclaimed, being rather pleased at his attendance. "I am glad that you were able to join us. I understand that your stay may be short, but we are a people of excellence and love to meet with every guest and person willing to take a moment to appreciate what we have. So on the behalf of my professional and personal master, I thank you very much."

Eleanor, even as she spoke to the priestess, kept her attention divided, noting the movements in the room, the conversational clusters. She frowned thoughtfully for a moment, considering.
Terrence, for his part, returned to the back of the room, sitting down and fidgetting impatiently as he waited.
James shook the mans hand politely, looking a little distant all the while. He had a lot on his mind as the day of his upcoming wedding approached, it was a little known fact that the reason he hadn't had an Heir yet came down to his fiancees race as biology stated simply that the longer the lifespan the lower the birthrate would be for a race... commonly Dwarves and Elves, both living hundreds of years in Iuthia were much less likely to become pregnant. While this isn't a problem for them, for James he wasn't getting any younger in his late forties already.
The thought process lasted for little more then a second of course as he quickly gathered his wits and finished shaking the mans hand.
"Well, I'll make sure to tell your master later that it's a pleasure to have been invited to this event, we feel despite the differences and issues we've had with the Austar Union in the past, it's my duty to show support for the new regime, to show your nation has friends in the South."
James turned to look at his fiancee and introduce her.
"Ah, allow me to introduce you to my wonderful fiancee, Liessa. We should be having our wedding in less then a fortnight, though the preparations are still underway as I'm sure you will understand... oh, where are my manners, I never caught your name. You are?"
Ilossë finally drifted away from Lord Blue, as he was getting many people come to him at this point in the party. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders, deeming it inevitable. I'm not exactly the only one at this ceremony. Now who to talk to... Her eyes and ears were peaked for anyone sitting alone. She noticed Amaya talking to the Sakkrans, and smiled. Good girl..Already doing well.. She took a sip of her wine, and nearly choked at the sight of a rather short...man? No, he had to be something else. She assumed he was from the Kingdom of Wintermore, due to his strange nature and using a process of elimination.
She resigned herself to speaking to the strangely short "man," and walked slowly to his position. She smiled calmly, and attempted to catch his attention. "Excuse me? Hello, I am Ilossë Eledhwen, Erasita of the Erasat des Etaros. And you must be?"

Aurora made a decision at last, and rose, smoothly, walking with her entourage discreetly trailing behind towards Lord Indigo. Her strawberry blonde hair was soft against her bare shoulders, and he saw as she came that the flower dress was not an illusion--somehow they really were flowers, as if she had been clothed from a meadow. A tall man with a grave expression on his wrinkled face had been there from the start. Wearing long black clothes he looked more like a mortician then a high minister or head of state. He had black rings under shifty eyes that looked around suspiciously. A long top hat had been left at the entrance. Unsurprisingly given his appearance, the press had nicknamed him 'the Undertaker’. A keen observer of human behaviour or a telepath however would see that this mans appearance did not hide malice, nor was this he in any way associated with the ways of necromancers. The dark appearance rather hid the fact that this was an unsure Knootian who was profoundly uncomfortable in large groups of people – especially at parties.
He had introduced himself at the entrance as the Knootian minister of Health. In fact, he wasn’t a minister but a state-secretary but he was allowed to call himself a minister abroad. It didn’t help his status though that he didn’t really have a department. The basement of the domestic affairs ministry was where his secretariat was housed; a cramped and dark place. A vampire would be well at home in his dark basement, he thought grimly as he heard the first speeches, although perhaps the leaking pipeline that dripped water on his desk at random intervals might be unappealing even to their kind. He murmured on to himself quietly as events progressed, thinking to himself that - on the upside - the remote underground location meant that the picketing pro-lifers were never in eyesight. He shuddered, recalling vividly how the last time he had made KNN news – over three months ago – was when he had been pelted with dead foetuses by the pro-lifers who had managed to find the secret back entrance of the Health Ministry. They were always there. Constantly haunting him: He hated them so much. They were the ones constantly fuelling the undertaker joke also. He noticed his fist was clenched, which wasn’t really an expression of having fun at a party.
He stood there, helplessly and unsure with his gift for Lord whatshisname. Whatshisname? He had forgotten the name of the guy whom he was supposed to congratulate! Damn! Where was that SLP whelp when you needed him!
---
Tim de Boer (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/index.php/Tim_de_Boer), the SLP whelp in question, meanwhile, had forgotten all about the poor old state-secretary. Instead he had been throwing around his most charming boyish smile, introducing himself all over the place. This party was a welcome break from the busy campaign for the Knootian elections (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=392066) and he was hoping to make some new contacts here for when he would be appointed foreign minister. If he would been appointed foreign minister, of course, but with the polls doing well he had no reason to ever doubt that reality. He turned again, looking for another new face to say hello to…
Terrence blinked and bowed deeply. "Your humble servant's name is simply Terrence, my lady."
He held his bowing position until bidden to rise. His big eyebrows wagged slightly as his boggan perceptions sought futiley for useful social information, even though he knew such talents had little bearing on this specific situation. "Is there some way my lady's humble servant might be of assistance?"
She looked into his eyes curiously, attempting to not take notice of his strange nature and..submissive..attitude. She personally condemned such submissive natures herself, but logically assumed that he was ordered to be this way, or it was simply in his culture. She ignored the voices in her head that screamed for a scowl, and spoke softly. "Why, you are very kind and gentle. I must thank you, but all I'd request of you at this time is a little chat." She smiled, and guided him across the room to sit. "So, I must ask, what nation are you from? I would guess Wintermore, but that may be a bit rude of me." Flavia looked thoughtful. Her first instinct was to reject the idea out of the hand. Having an Austarian advanced military base in Haven wasn’t exactly what she had in mind when she came here. Building relations were one thing. This was something entirely different. However, the idea of having a very powerful military complex allied to the Scarlet Empire was rather appealing. Silence held in the air for a few moments and the sound of talking from inside the room could be heard. “Unfortunately, Doctor Israel,” the Princess said, “I cannot tell you right now whether or not you would have clearance for this. I need more details on what exactly the base would do and in what research it would engage.
