Poptartrea Goes International

Among political enthusiasts, anticipation has been building for months. Over the past three years, the isolationist party Poptartrea First had been losing elected positions on all fronts. With this election, the multi-party alliance International could take the majority of the National Assembly.

Jacob Lowe raced from his dressing room to the newsroom. The lights were already on and the cameras were on Standby. As the teleprompter flicked on, he could barely suppress his mirth.

"Good evening citizens of Poptartrea.", he read. "I'm here live in the PNN newsroom where the preliminary results of yesterday's election have just arrived. The International is now in control of Poptartrea's National Assembly. The current results indicate that the new Assembly will be 432 International-affiliated senators, 46 independent senators, and 72 Poptartrea First senators."

OOC: Hiya! Poptartrea's a socialist figurehead monarchy, which is to say that we do have a King, but his functions end at speaking engagements. The real power lies in the National Assembly, consisting of 550 senators, and their appointed cabinet of Overseers lead by the Premier. My writing style's a bit bland but I'm hoping this will help. I'm interested in any potential alliances.

PIcaRDMPCia is happy to see its longtime ally and friend in the region of Galbadia finally reveal itself to the rest of the world. Let's all hope we manage to make new friends in this great world of ours.

OOC: PTK's a friend of mine, and I know him quite well. I call him PTK because that's short for PoptartKing, what he goes by at a forum we visit regularly.
