Mirfakan leader goes autocratic: a final plea for help.

In the wake of a failed assassination plot against Mirfakan governing council leader Petrovich Kolani, the nation's law enforcement and domestic investigation organization, the Kusakal Gimesi Bule (National Security Agency), has been granted a federal writ of allowance to take over all domestic intelligence operations and arrest suspected conspirators across Mirfak. This new allowance for the KGB, which already controls the nation's police and, indirectly, military, makes it the single most powerful and feared government agency in Mirfak. Acting now almost exclusively as a right hand to stay deviance from Kolani's political mastery of Mirfak, most citizens now feel that the promise of democracy put forward by Qoulek Pallanez, the original leader of the unionist revolution that united the planet under a single federal government for the first time in centuries ten years ago, has become merely another false hope. Even as information access on Mirfak is restricted, the brutally efficient KGB is killing off what little opposition remains. Freedom of all except the international press has been subjected to strict government oversight committees, and some citizen groups are speaking out while they still have a voice, calling for the international community to help arrest Kolani's rise to autocratic rule and suport the near-powerless governing council.
