While I will not give the specifics, I will say that the idea of the RP Bonus for this tournament will be to reward thoughtful, entertaining RPs that show effort, rather than simply regurgitating the scores. We encourage you to have fun with RPing, and will reward you (to an extent) for doing so.

Scores will be scorinated by Excel on a near-daily basis. If it looks like there will be a chunk of time longer than a day between score updates, we will try to let you all know in advance.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact myself or Lethislavania via IRC or TG.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Lethislavania Fighting Green

Lethislavania is ready to roll for this competition. Although we were saddened by our losses in the World Cup, we are hosting a very large and eventful tournament, as well as fielding a re-tuned team.

Today, many people were out in the streets, for today is the National Holiday of San Teresa, working on setting up for the arrival ceremony. Streamers and banners have been put together, blazing red and green combined to create an amazing veiw on Maine Street in Leninstan, the capital of our faire country.

Vikings prepare for Cup of Harmony

After tough play throughout the entire World Cup 19, they got eliminated on the las day of competition in the qualifying rounds. Now, the Vikings have been hard at work in the Vikings Sports Training Complex across from Viking Arena in Vanguard, preparing for the Cup of Harmony.

Last time around in the Cup of Harmony, they made it to the knockout stange and lost there, but hope for a better showing this run. The Vkings have improved their game drasticly in ashort period of time, going from 86th in their first cup to start at 51 in their second cup and finish it ranked 36th. Not bad for a team only in its second running. Now, they have their eyes on the Cup of Harmony, but it doesn't stop there.

"We may not have won in the World Cup, but that doesn't mean we cannot win here." Captian Jorge Mendel said during a practice.

Lets look at who they are playing in the Cup of Harmony. They drew into he Red Group, with some very good competitors. As of now, they have no expierence against any of these teams, but that does not mean they cannot leanr about their opponents. Coach Wash predicts the biggest team they will have to overcome is Big Pimento, as they were labeled as a team on the fast rise and fierce competitors.

"If I had to pick a team I think will be the hardest to play, my choice is Big Pimento. I saw all of their matches from World Cup 19 in preperation with the team, and they look tough. I tihkn they will be the hardest team we face in the Red Group" Coach Wash replied when asked.

Can the Vikings take the prize in the Cup of Harmony? Who knows, justlet it be known that the team is thirsting for victory and will play extremly hard.

Hiiraan In The RED Group As The HFF announces First Cuts.

Breaking NEWS: Cuts

HFF chairman Comes Up Front:

"Ladies And Gentlemen The HFF is ready to announce the first Cuts, this decision is in NO way saying the following players have been bad and disappointed this organization, its just that better players have risen and they need to go back and comeback next year if they are better than what they presented the last world cup"

After a AIDE comes and tells Him something the chairman Stands Up:

"Ladies And Gentlemen, I have Just got The word to start naming the players:

Players Are NO longer Part of the Hiiraanian National Team:"

1. (07) Usmaan Umar Wakiil, (Defender)
2. (20) Abiqaadir Ahmed Umar, ( Midfilder)

They Are replaced By:

(07) Khallid IV
(20) Muse Ahmed

-------------------------------------------------

The HFF announced that that was it for the cuts in this CoH, Most people New the Defender Wakill will be cut but they have not predicted the latter name, They have thought it would been a reserve or some other team readjustment.

The New Goes And Has been announced to be in Group RED, The Group's Difficulty Seems To be Not that Match, LE is the Biggest Challenger we have in this group, Although the Host LEGAL is predicted to be in the TOP 2 of the Group He is Likely Going to be in the TOP 4. Tomorrow Game Against Sliponia Is widely predicted to be a WIN for the Hiiraanians Due to the Insufficient Equipment that the Sliponia are bringing to the CoH.

Sliponia VS Hiiraan

Sliponia, Who we Never played are a good team, Of course winning the BoF was a Huge Boost for them and they have been on a role ever since, Hiiraan is trying to take advantage of the weak defense that the team brought in the WC, Analyst Have also said that the team is not being as cooperative as last world cups, they have seen the heat of compotation and are now trying to go into the reclusive MODE.

The coach who has faced a fear of being fired is NOW not only saying but almost believing that a WIN should not be a needed thing but a WANTED thing, in other words, we will do everything it takes to beat this young team who have slipped many times before.

ANALYST TABLE:

"Hiiraan has been Very, Very Arrogant about their Offense, They have stepped Up many games, But they need to secure the Defense and Pull out an ALL out attack," - Murnam Mohamed (KBC SPORTS)

"The Sliponian Better Step up to this game, They need to WIN, other wise they are done for this, But Lets Not get into this game entirely, Look at Hiiraan, They came from disastrous WC to a Beautiful start up in this CoH, I will Not only say the have the upper hand against Sliponia but I will Add that They are Going to WIN unless a challenge rises from Sliponia"- (AKHNS)

"A Hiiraanian Win here is secured, They have made strides and made challenges to much better teams, I don’t think this Sliponia team can really makeup for the lost time wit Hiiraan, They will Lose this one if they are not careful" - (Sports Center)

WE INTERRUPT YOUR BROADCAST OF SURVIVOR: ZIOTAH FOR THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE:

WHAT?!?!? WE'RE LIVE ALREADY?!?!? Oh, sorry. We would like to inform the Giant Zucchini public that we have not been prematurely kicked out of the Cup of Harmony. All that has happened is that since there are 7 nations in each group, 1 nation does not play for every matchday. This is known as a 'bye day'. Therefore, there is no reason for outrage, so please stop rioting in the streets. Thank you.

Survivor: Ziotah will be back on air shortly.

Code Red - A look at the Legalese Group
By Phil Schremp

Our dumbass international scouting staff has left us with little to no knowledge of most of the teams participating in "Group Red" for the Cup of Harmony, but we'll try to piece together what we can to give you something on Big Pimento's group.

Lethislavania: They won the Baptism of Fire Cup, but then tanked during World Cup qualification. They seem to play well at these "minor" tournaments, so expect them to have a good run.

Kylaai: We've played Kylaai once before and we beat them. That was eight years ago and we don't know too much about them now, but they've already won a Harmony Cup, so the veterans will know what it takes to deliver. They scored three in their opener and should be another team to watch.

Lykaia: Another team we know nothing about except that if you scramble the letters of Lykaia, you'll spell Kylaai. They lost their first match so expect them to tank.

Oaker: Ummm.... Their nation's name rhymes with poker. Are they a good team or just bluffing? We'll see as the tournament progresses because we don't have a clue.

Haperd: Another obscure nation we haven't really heard of, mainly because Big Pimento doesn't get much international news coverage and doesn't really care about football. The Futility Kings' first match will be against Haperd, so we should be able to tell you within 15 minutes if they're any good.

Fmjphoenix: We heard they're good, they might have won a Baptism of Fire cup, but yet again, we're really not too sure. It's not that we can't look up this stuff, it's just our writers are just too damn lazy to do it.

As for the task of trying to predict where Big Pimento will finish in the grand scheme of things, I'm not gonna even touch that with a 10-foot pole. I just don't know the opposition well enough and I don't want to take the risk of making a mistake. What? You want me to go out on a limb and make some predictions, just to find out I have no idea what I'm talking about so I look like a fricking morons? I think my team run-down already proved my stupidity and lack of credibility, so tell me, why would I run the risk of being redundant and looking even more stupid?

Editor's Note: Yet again, we have to apologize for the low literary quality of our sports section. It's just that, well, Schremp slept with the paper's owner, and he's held the job ever since. There are numerous quality publications to be found through foreign media outlets. If you want a decent read, read those. If you want to see articles written by a man with the pluck of a six year-old, read Schremp's. Sorry again to everyone who had to endure this journalistic travesty.

Vikings get enough for victory in Cup of Harmony opener, defeat Haperd

It was a quiet game, not too much action, as the Vikings played solid defense by only letting Haperd take 4 total shots against Powell Lamar and had a great play on the other side of the pitch to gain a 1-0 victory in the Cup of Harmony XI opener.

Jorge Mendel proved why he is a great player. He also proved that he does not have to do it all by himself. Jorge Mendel aided Mike Nolan on the only goal of the match when he delivered a supurb pass that went out in front of a Haperd defender for Nolan to launch at Haperd's Goalkeeper, Kia Ireland. The shot was taken so quickly, Ireland moved to late to deflect it as it buzzed to the back of the net for the only score at the 42nd minute.

There was a crazy antic during the second half, as a lawyer from Legalese ran onto the field to try adn get the refs to sign some sort of document. It is not known what the document is but it is expected to be talked about within the Kingdom of Fmjphoenix for the duration of the Cup of Harmony.

Matchday 2 sees the Vikings with their bye. Coach Wash and Co. are planning a rigorous workout section that will be open to any fans who wish to watch the Vikings practice in hopes of possible winning the Cup of Harmony. After the bye, Fmjphoenix will be facing Big Pimento. Expect the eyes of the Vikings to be glued to the TV to see how Big Pimento is looking and what to expect from the Futility Kings.

Lethislavania Fighting Green

Surging, the crowd filled the stadium. Many Lethislavanians had made the long travel to Legaleese for this interesting, if not slightly prestigous tournament. This was for the teams who had displayed character and faire play in the World Cup, but lacked enough wins (Or wins at all) to qualify. The green was proudly displayed, the fervor pitch reaching a immaculate scream as Thomas Boeing came onto the field, backflipping.

The game began quickly, with the Lethislavanian team surging past the defense of Lykaia, and flying into position. Cel Karra launched the ball, but their goalie jumped forward, catching it with his white-and-red goalie gloves. Pulling back, he booted the ball back down the field, where the Lykaia Center Forward flew forward. Pulling back, his shot lofted over the head of Jorge, but a whistle pierced the silence. "Offsides!" Shouted the goalie, ushering in a torrent of euphoria from the Fighting Green.

Restarting, Thomas Boeing shot up the field energized. Dribbling, he headed around the Lykaia mid and arced a shot over the goalies head. The Lethislavanians erupted into a fury, charging onto the field and shout curses of joy. After some police intervention, involving the arrests of four men who claimed to be Jesus, Moses, Abraham, and Elvis, the game restarted, albeit the fury within both teams diminished.

The game ended with the same score, 1-0, a resounding victory for the rejuvinated Lethislavanian squad.

Nonesuch Grab Point?!
0-0 Again

Nonesuch Street - officially the worst team of World Cup 19, at least to those who have calculated such things - somehow received an invitation to the eleventh Cup of Harmony, taking over the mantle from Cockbill Street. Unlike Cockbill, however, the Nonesuch players seemed to overperform in their first match.

Playing in a classic 4-4-2, Nonesuch went out aggressively and tried to tackle. Boore got a yellow card for a gruesome tackle on Dave Zigand after nine minutes, and Shrewdinger followed up with a almost equally brutal solution four minutes later. Still, that tactic worked somewhat, Legalese players limping around on the pitch and the pace of the game slowing down. Still, W K Highsenburg in goal had a magnificent day. On occasions, he seemed to be zipping past several metres without really traversing the space in between - Church and Smythe, the Legalese strikers, tried absolutely everything in the book and Highsenburg was just too good for them.

The strikers up front, Chandra Seccah and MacSwell, were usually seen conversing with each other, as the match really didn't take part in that half of the pitch. What they were up to, nobody really knows, but it is a fact that they had an almost radar-like knowledge of when the ball would appear near them (which happened once every ten minutes as Fineman or D'Iraq cleared it out of the area). That almost result in what would have been a freak 1-0 victory for Nonesuch - a shot was unleashed, it seemed to curve into the top corner uncatchable for Walters, but at the last instance it seemed to change momentum and veer just outside.

All in all, Nonesuch Street were still happy with their one point, as the main goal of this tournament is to gain ranking points before World Cup Twenty. With a world rank of 120 before this tournament, the Nonesuch team are hoping to gain about 30 ranks with some good results in Lethislavania, but with opposition such as Liverpool England and Raptor Claw, it will not be easy to take the required seven points for such a feat.

Nonesuch Street: Highsenburg 8 - Fineman 6, Boore 6, Shrewdinger 7, D'Iraq 6 - de Slah 6, Pohli 5, Poahcare 5, Mightner 7 - Chandra Seccah 5, MacSwell 5
Legalese: Walters 5 - Francis 5, Wigginson 5, Templar 6 - Crail 6, Manachev 6, Niedermeyer 7, Rodd 7 - Masterson 6, Church 5, Smythe 6

Nonesuch Street 0
Legalese 0 (Masterson m/pen 58)

Tables:

Draw Bumps Hiiraan to the #2 in the Group.
The Zucchini Game

After an Enticing Game, The Hiiraan Team could Not Come Up in this Faulty Competition with the Sliponians, The Game started As Like any other, But the Mode Changed When Couple OF sliponian players started tackling the Hiiraanian player, thereby reserving one, Yusuf Ali for two games, The Hiiraanian Player #5, A defender Got a yellow Card After retaliating a sliponian tackle, But on the general side of the game, The Game Got really Interesting about the 52' minute after The team captain Abdi as he is called Scored the First and Only Hiiraanian Goal, The Game was amazing in its character and had made many differences Said one SC analyst, The Hiiraan Team have in Practice for the Zucchini Challenge.

The Zucchini Game

The Giant Zucchinis Are Going to Face the Hiiraanian Dominant Side, The Hiiraan Usual Conference Has announced the Tactic For this Game, The team acknowledged the faults in the Sliponian Game and clearly Side it focused on attack More, But the team Has been willing to admit there 3-4-3 was a fraud one at first and are now changing to a 4-3-3, This Formation will change a lot, including how the attack is played, The team will focus on the Usual Weak Sides of the Zucchinis, They have been known to bring a challenge on the sides that is not complementary to the other things on there game, " We will take advantage on any opening" said the coach after chatting with sports reporters.

The Also has said in the opening that a lose could happen but they said that its unlikely but very much likely since we never played the Zucchinis, Even though there players are Electric on the Field, they are usually known not to spend most of their Time on the Game, Rather Other things occupy them Most of the times.

The Land of Drops And Falls, The Table

Ladies and Gentlemen, I will like to Welcome you to the New edition of our reporting, Its The land of Rise and Falls and the Table, Most People Imagine where they are and since we have extra time the next few days we will be adding this edition to it.

For this Week, Liverpool England took a Pride in being at the Top, Hiiraan's Draw gave them a second spot with Sliponia little Behind at #3, you can easily argue the other way, But We Know Who is at #4, and that is our opponent Today, the Grand Zucchinis Who have not played yet, the next person behind them are either the legalese or the nonsuchs who have tied zero, zero. But the last person in the top of the group is obviously the Raptor claws who have lost to Liverpool England, we are truly sorry we don’t have the table today but tomorrow, we promise to give you analysis and the TABLE.

The Kylaai Team for the Cup of Harmony

Goalkeeper: Mandoo Nania
Defenders: Lital Tirar, Hito Burrito, Vito Frito, Max
Midfielders: Rising Sun, Macala Moria, Tennence Fleiam, Norada-Fell
Attackers: Mazu Kazu, Vlanti Vimorta

Kylaai 3-2 Oaker

The Reformed Islands of Kylaai are ready to regain the first place! they achieved before over Snub Nose 38 in the Cup of Harmony. While Kylaai would like to play in the World Cup Finals it will once again try and to perform in this Cup of Harmony.

In the first of the games Max was star! Max was a very defender and actual Lital Tirar has never done anything maybe time is for Kylaai to replace Lital Tirar and Tennence Feliam. They never do anything. Norada-Fell is very good it is close but Norada Fell scored a goal and is probably best Kylaai player. Rising Sun is verygood and so is Mazu Kazu but Norada-Fell is proably the best. Vlanti Vimorti is another goalscorer but he did not score the goal that won the game. This is the goal that scored by Mazu Kazu. This is Mazu Kazu job to score the important goal.

Mandoo Nania is a very good goalkeeper only Oaker scored on a penalty kick and a corner kick Mandoo Nania would not let them score regular goal he is improved very much from he used to be bad. Kylaai will continue to play and hopefully advance in the Cup of Harmony.

Vikings practice hard during bye

People were lined up to sign autographs after a hard practice by the Vikings. Fans got to have interaction with the players in a more personal level and made them happy. Hours before, they were watchig them work extremely hard to prepare for their next match in the Cup of Harmony.

"They have worked hard and are prepared to win. They want to win. They want to show they are a top competitive team and that they are going to be championship contenders." Coach Wash said in an interview after the practice.

*staff thoughts* with the team working so hard, they are really trying to win something. they have a lot to prove to the world if they want to be taken seriously.

Sadly, this will not be a comprehensive reveiw, as I will be attending the funeral of Sir Tomas de Montreal with my comrades at the paper. For those of you not attending or watching, Cel Karra scored early on in the match, and the Lethislavanian squad dominated the first half. After halftime, it seemed as though the win would come easily. However, in the 87th minute, the Oaker center forward shot ahead, and slid a ball into the right corner, balancing the score at 1-1.

On front pages all over Hiiraan:

Gigsi Blamed!

Gigsi's spectacular strike late in the game against Hiiraan sealed a tight encounter with few chances. Coach Tolar tried out a few new players, usually found in the reserves. Also, he had the luxury of the Under-21 squad, who have just flown in from TnUI, and used some of them as substitutes. So it came as no surprise when Beter was substituted in the 86th minute for Under-21 hero and Anagon United teammate Gigsi. What did come as a surprise was his spectacular long range dipping volley that flew with great pace into the top corner of the net beyond a flying Hiiraan keeper with his first touch of the ball. The Hiiraanian Coach was clearly stunned as well. "Well, I guess we could blame no one but Gigsi for that loss. We played according to our gameplan, and so did they, and a draw would have been a fair result, but Gigsi, what a strike." Gigsi was more modest. "I was just lucky, the ball was passed to me and no one closed me down, so I had time and space, and I basically lashed at it, and the fact that it was on target and it dipped so wickedly was just pure luck."

No Such Freak Victory
Liverpudlians Soundly Beaten

LETHISLAVANIA———Nonesuch Street's football side failed to take more than two points in fourteen games in the qualifying for World Cup Nineteen, and they took the concept of abysmal to a level not seen since Ravea and Hash n Beans. However, they were invited to Lethislavania to participate for the coveted Cup of Harmony - probably because a Cup of Harmony without a Street is not a real Cup of Harmony - and there, the side has been completely transformed. Goalkeeper Highsenburg played fantastically in their first match against Legalese, two-handedly saving the 0-0 draw (and a penalty, at that), and yesterday night, Nonesuch Street completed a miracle as they notched up their first international victory.

Nonesuch are no strangers to upsets. Their first point in international football was against Cockbill Street, ranked 28th in the world at the time, and most of their losses have come to low-ranked teams. And so, a draw against 46th-ranked Legalese may not have come as such great surprise. Against the Liverpudlians, a nation that's been in the World Cup for over fifty years, Nonesuch Street were expected to come up well short. But that isn't what happened. Nonesuch Street played the best football of their history, amid shouts of "F1X0R3D!", "How the hell are we losing?" and "This scorinator is plain wrong"

Two goals from Chandra Seccah and MacSwell in the opening half sent the few Nonesuch fans into desperate calculation. They had - almost to a tee - calculated that Nonesuch's chances of winning this match were about 0.01 %, and hence had put all their money on the Liverpool English at good odds - one to ten against. Now, they all wondered how much they were losing - and hence the stadium rang of nothing but abuse in the second half. The Liverpudlians grew more and more violent as the clock grew nearer and nearer to 90 minutes, and even a late goal could not save them. The 2-1 result sees Nonesuch Street go up into second place - one point ahead of Liverpool England - and with matches against easier pickings such as Giant Zucchini (105th), Sliponia (72nd) and Hiiraan (91st) still left, there is a theoretical chance that Nonesuch Street could qualify for the semi-finals of this Cup of Harmony - a shock that would reverberate around the footballing world, or at least the footballing world who care about the Harmony Cup (in other words, Cockbill Street and Big Pimento)

Vikings draw with Big Pimento, remain in third for Red Group

Mike Nolan scored the lone goal for the Vikings against a tough Big Pimento team in their second Cup of Harmony Match. Big Pimento scored the first goal at 34 minutes while Nolan put his hookshot over the goalkeeper at 54 minutes. Neither team ceeded much room for the other to score, as only 7 shots were took total, the Vikings taking 3 to Big Pimento's 4.

The last game, Being as disastrous as it was was a never a thing to hold us back said the coach, we will show the hosts of this tournment No chance, our goal is victory, Our team will succed in this next game, and we will not stop for the hosts.

The last game was lost due to the [ OOC: Scorinators !!! ] Lack of Nice things in the playinbg field, the last time we saw tis was in a children playground. [ just playing ].

The Next match will be against the hosts, who we fill are less prepared than us, we are fully ready and capable of defeating such a mediocre team, they have been known to choke on games like this and for our goal, we will make them do so in this game.

The last time we played against the legalese, we do not remeber, the last time we won against them, well....... we properly never played them, but in any case they will be humiliated under our players, and made great joy of at home, they shall see our might, once and for all.

Nonesuch Draw Dinosaurs
Still In Second Place

Nonesuch Street continued their freak run in the Cup of Harmony today, fighting their way to a classic 3-3 draw with Raptor Claw that will remain long in the memory of Nonesuch fans. Even though the defenders, particularly keeper Highsenburg, struggled under the weight of Lindaplae, Arget and Naroun, the Nonesuch attackers seemed to have found their form after the game with the Liverpudlians.

Midfielder J H Poahcare, who assisted to two goals, was particularly impressive in this match and earned an eight for his efforts - the third eight to go to the Nonesuch side in this cup - and he said afterwards that "our goal is to reach the semi-final - we didn't play to our full potential in the qualifiers, so now we're constantly being underestimated. And now we have played all the sides who we really shouldn't have been able to take points from, we've got five points, so the other teams must be really scared of what we can do."

The match itself hung in the balance for a long time. Narun crossed in to Lindaplae for the first goal of the game in the ninth minute, while the Nonesuch central defence slept, but right from the kick-off, Nonesuch applied pressure and got their reward as D'Iraq headed in a Poahcare corner three minutes later. Nonesuch didn't withdraw into their own half, which cost them as Raptor Claw had many lethal counter-attacks, and in all fairness, Nonesuch were very lucky to go off with 1-1 at the half-time break, despite being in control of possession with 59 %. Highsenburg had made more than his fair share of quality saves in the first half, but as they returned, he became more and more insecure. Mainly because he conceded a goal after only 65 seconds of the second half - Runni Nondaside netting a free kick quickly. 1-3 he let through his legs, Maki Narun shooting a rather soft shot that he didn't expect to go in - but it did, rolling slowly under his legs and towards the goal as Highsenburg turned and got a hand to it - directing it into the post and in.

The Nonesuch team, however, showed amazing morale. MacSwell was fouled on 35 metres with about twenty minutes remaining of the game, and Mightner took the free kick in style - passing it over to Poahcare further down the right side, who crossed it low into the box where Pohli had run in to smack it into the goal. As the clock grew nearer to 90 minutes, the manager became successively more worried, but he need not have bothered - N de Slah's shot from fifteen metres as he picked up a clearance from Yindabak was good enough to beat Opyou, and the Nonesuch team travelled off with a point. They are still in second place in the table - admittedly only one point ahead of Giant Zucchini, who have a game in hand but are ranked almost as low as Nonesuch - and two points ahead of Liverpool England, who are expected to sweep many of the upcoming games. It will be a tough semi-final charge for Nonesuch, who have a bye day tomorrow as Liverpool England play Giant Zucchini in a match where the winner takes second place in the group (unless it's a draw with less than four goals), but as Poahcare pointed out - the team does have the easiest games left, and they have overperformed already - why shouldn't they be able to do so again?

NEWSFLASH:

The Zucchinis drew 0-0 with Sliponia in the Cup of Harmony, Oshin proving to be the star in this competition, not conceding a goal yet in the competition, a stark contrast to Qualifying, when he let in 38 goals in 14 matches. However, an experimental strike partnership of Radolno and Keygun failed to yield any goals. Mr Tolar, "A good word to explain today's game is 'not bad'. Certainly our defence has been solid thus far, and obviously we are not scoring as much as we want to but that is expected as we are trying out new players and new strategies. Of course, winning is important, but so is our preparation for the next Qualifying."

The Sharks continued their poor run against Lykaia, being outplayed by a weaker team. Some late substitutions for Oaker showed that they seem to have worked out what is wrong as young Raven Oaker made his debut and was very impressive, setting up Flash Oaker's 85th minute goal. The Sharks continued to threaten and Pond Oaker shot just wide of the net but the referee blew the final whistle.

Vikings step up against Kylaai, move to second in Red Group

With two people who are about to be signed to the senior squad, Larry Brown and Jason Mitchell watched as their future teammates defeated Kylaai 3-0 on matchday 4 of the Cup of Harmony.

Brown and Mitchell got a chance to see the increased competition and level of play they will be expected to perform at when they join the Vikings at the end of the Cup of Harmony. Mike Nolan, Jorge Mendel, and Carlos Santos lead a fast paced attack and each scored a goal for the Vikings as they took their second win in the Cup of Harmony. Santos started the strike first by making a corner kick at 8 minutes. Kylaai looked poised to strike back, but Powell Lamar caught a hard shot and gave it back to Tra Miranda, who moved the ball upfield. There was not much more scoring, but Esteban Zeus would end up sitting the rest of the match out as he was hit hard by a Kylaai defender and went down holding his knee. An MRI is going to be scheduled for tommorow to see the severity of the injury. With the injury, the Vikings decided to switch from a 4-3-3 formation to a 3-3-4 to give the defensive side of the pitch more players and just go with an attack of Nolan, Mendel, and rookie Karim Ackbar.

The first half ended without much flare, just Fmjphoenix with a 1-0 lead. When the second half opened up, Mendel and Nolan came blazing downfield with Nolan passing off to Mendel who fired a shot that hooked over the Kylaai Goalkeeper to put Fmjphoenix up 2-0 at 51 minutes. Kylaai tried to mount a comeback, but Lamar and his enterauge of defenders would not relinquish a goal. After another great deflection, Wei Zeng got the ball off of the rebound and started towards midfield, passed off to Marty Slocker who continued towards the Kylaai goal. After shaking off a Kylaai midfielder, Slocker lobbed a pass towards Nolan, who was only 5 feet away from the goal. The pass was a little high, so Nolan did the only thing he could think of, heheadbutted the ball and watched in amazement as it rolled out of the reach of the Kylaai goalkeeper to give the Vikings a 3-0 lead at 86 minutes. Kylaai would get one shot of in the second time stoppage, but it sailed over the goal and almost into the seats, securing a perfect slate for Lamar and a 3-0 victory for Fmjphoenix.

"It was amazing. I didn't think the it(the ball) was going to go in after I got my head on it." Nolan said after the match, "I guess I had a little luck on my side. I am glad we got a good solid win against a goos Kylaai team. I am just looking forward for the next match."

Nolan ad Co. have a tough match ahead of them next. They face co-host of the Cup of Harmony, Lethislavania, the Baptism of Fire 19 winner, and the team currently ahead of Fmjphoenix in the Red Group. Fmjphoenix feels like they have an edge over the Fighting Green, but take nothing for granted. Seeing as they did what Fmjphoenix could not and took the Baptism of Fire, they will be taking them very serious.

"Right now, this is the team we have to beat." Coach James Wash said of Lethislavania, "They are 3-1-0, we are 2-1-0. we want to be in first, and they are in first. If we win, we are in first. Its that simple. Right now, that is the biggest priority. We will bring it all to the pitch, and then some. I think this will be a highlight match."

4Vikings lose in time stoppage, have to make up fast[/

Powel Lamar slipped, and that slip cost the Vikings first place in Red group, as Lethislavania defeated Fmjphoenix by the low score of 1-0.

The match looked like a draw the whole way through, neither teams goalkeeper was allowing any shot past, it almost seemed as if they were in the matrix with how fast they were blocking shots. THe closest Fmjphoenix even came to making a shot was when the Lethislavania goalkeeper didnt go after a shot because it looked to high, but it hooked down and hit the top bar. But in time stoppage of the second half, A Lethislavania striker came streaking downfield, reared back, and fired a shot at Lamar. It looked like he would be in full position to block it when his foot slipped on ice that had been thrown down onto the pitch, costing the Vikings the match.

Now, in order to ensure qualification, the Vikings need to defeat Lykaia and do it good, or else they will be snubbed from yet another tournemanet finals area.

NATIONAL CELEBRATION CALLED
Nonesuch Beat Hiiraan, Steer Towards Semis

What a day for the 79 million inhabitants of Nonesuch Street. Before, they had been thinking the Cup of Harmony had been an upset - a wonderful one, but one that couldn't possibly last. But now, with a 2-1 victory over the Hiiraanis that SPEAK like THIS except VERY hard to UNDERSTAND, the whole of Nonesuch have erupted in a three-day celebration as the team nears the semi-final.

It should never have been possible. A bunch of amateurs without the will, nor skill, to win any qualifiers should not have been able to win any games in a tournament consisting of the pick of the-non-qualifiers. But the side have pulled themselves together magnificently to become the better of two Streetian sides these days - while the Cockbill variant made a mockery of their star status in the World Cup, Nonesuch have quietly settled in second place of the Cup of Harmony table - one that will give them a semi-final against Lethislavania.

The news of Nonesuch's 2-1 victory over Hiiraan sparked a national celebration, and president R de Cart, as avid a football fan as the rest, joined in, dancing in the Street as the nation realised success was near. They were still dancing when the second clacks came in from Lethislavania - about the match with Sliponia. It read:

MacSwell headed in goal STOP
Sliponians scored too STOP
Decent game STOP
We need to beat Giant Zucchini STOP
But we have not seen anything from them STOP
So we should win STOP
Then we will meet Lethislavania STOP

Lethislavania Fighting Green

It has happened. Years of heartbreak, triumph, and broken promises done with. Lethislavania has made it into the smeifinals of the Cup of Harmony. Although they qualified yesterday, the signifigance of this turning point had not registered until early this morning.

Streamers of blazing forest green and sharp yellow waved through the air, accompanied by the triumphal chants, spoken in Ancient Lethislavanian.

"Arii, Arii! Doina, Arii Arii!"

Women cried in the streets, while men hit the roads, beers in hand, screaming. This is why they went to work everyday, for their country, and their country had finally done it. On the main street of Leninstan, large pictures of the teams unfurled from the Metrolines' rails, giving a glimpse of the now-godlike team's true image. They stood in the pictures, strong and valient, and the people realised who they were. Heroes.

They had won.

It has happened.

Vikings gain meaningless win, seem destined for runner up

Alex Rivera scored two goals in his first start in a long amount of games to give normal starters a rest as the Vikings won a meaningless match against Oaker 2-1. After already being eliminated from contention, the Vikings ended another dissapointing tournament with a win.

This match looked like another disappointment and disasterous match when Oaker jumped out 1-0 at the 20th minute with a goal that hooked over Powell Lamar's arms. But then Rivera made a statement for why he should stay on the main international squad when he fired a hard shot to the Oaker Goalkeeper to tie it up 1-1 during the first time stoppage. Then not even 5 minutes into the second half, Rivera fired another shot that hooked to the lower-left corner of the goal to put the Vikings up 2-1 for good.

"He made some good plays and showed he can be a major contributor to the team when given time." Coach Wash said after the match, "We will see him a bit more next year around."

Nonesuch Knocked Out at Next-To-Final Hurdle
Plucky Fight Stopped By Unstoppable Lethislavanians

A 0-1 loss at the hands of Lethislavania (6-1-0 in the Harmony Cup) meant that Nonesuch Street couldn't quite get to the final of the eleventh Cup of Harmony and emulate their bigger brothers in Cockbill on their first go. The Nonesuch team played well organised at the back, inspired by the Rejistani System Karela, but they just couldn't produce anything up front. When W K Highsenburg also let in a rather poor shot from 25 metres, the fate of the Nonesuch team was sealed, and they ended up with an unimportant third place play-off to play.

However, Nonesuch did rally, thanks to goals from MacSwell and Chandra Seccah, and came back to beat Lykaia 2-0 - continuing a fine tradition of Streetian sides against Lykaia. It was only a consolation, of course, but it does give hopes for future Harmony Cups - as the Nonesuch team is seemed to gain about 50 ranks on the KPB ranking system, according to unofficial C-mail calculations.

In other news, Lethislavania have been criticised from all over the world from not showing the courtesy to lose on home soil. Clearly, showing so much greed is possible, and they should certainly not have had the cheek to win their own tournament!

Congrats to Lethislavania (sic?) on winning the Cup of Harmony!

That said, I'd like to apologize for missing out on just about everything. I ran into some computer problems (which still have not been resolved), and was therefore unable to run the first part of the Cup. Kudos to Leth for pulling it off without me, esp since my scorinator was passed on to him about the same time that I posted the MD 1 scores (also my last time online, due to my personal fiasco)

Thanks to everyone for competing, and I hope to see more of y'all when I'm fully online again.
