Fsst...

Cells multiplying...

A ball forms...

Gets larger...

and larger...

Sonic boom...echoing in her ears, makes even her cells vibrate from the intensity. Her hands clasped so tightly against the side of her face that her fingers were turning a pale sickly white and her face a pulsating red.

Just as fast as it came, it was gone.

She opened her eyes and she peered out of her pod. A compound arrangement of colours danced before her eyes, so many she had lost count. Words would be wasted to describe the beauty of it all. She having seen the dawn of a new universe watched in amazement and awe.

Her eyes began to hurt, as she wasn't blinking. Why would she miss this? Like a birth of a child, so many possibilities and she was there to witness it.

A freezing crystal shaped tear fell from her eyelid and traced a design down her face and plopped onto her navy blue suit, leaving that area a shade darker.

She had witnessed a new existence, but alone.

She was a captain of a ship, long forgotten now. She had traveled to the end of all universes and now realized her home was gone, earth long destroyed. Traveling back to see it glowing from the sun's intense radiation. Her family, her life, down the drain like a piece of her black hair. So frail and easily forgotten.

Now, here she was in her pod that she had to break away from her crew, seeming like ions ago, watching the very beginning.

Page sighed. Another tear followed that of the first. Soon she was appalled by her own emotions. Had she not been through enough to make her strong as steel. But those were but reminiscences collecting dust. Now, was time to explore and find new ones to make.

She looked at her feet, lying beside them was an empty notebook and a pen. I don't remember packing that; nevertheless, she picked it up.

~Day zero,
I watched an universe die and a new one born. What was behind me will be lost forever. Those shall be memories kept in the closet and never opened again. I am reborn and thus this will be my start like a newborn baby reaching out into the air and not knowing what to grasp onto. I yearn to know and I will find the answers to those questions, questions that are not even asked. ~

Certainly well written, but I'm not sure what you want as far as RP goes. If she's witnessed the death and rebirth of the universe then there's not much left to RP with. Unless I'm misreading the post?

True, to the readers eye this appears so. Also, to her own eye, she is the only one left, but that is her belief. So, technically she could just be mistaken, which I am entitled to hope so. It is a new universe to explore and new things inside. I am guessing that there are already creatures or such, humans possibly there, and she will "run" into them. I am not that familar with space RPs, but I am trying. So, do what you like.

Moria loved the dive through singularity. She had seen holos of surfing that had been given to her by her brother and she pictured it like that. Non-reality breaking behind you as you dove for the reality of the place you were trying to get to, crossing through the multiple pathways of possibilities just outside of the real universe until you broke free into normal space again. Mathematics where the only constant here, one equation among many and only one right. Problems solved and cast aside in favor of others. Open doors passed by until you found the right one. Then ....

Normal space erupted and Moria flew through but suddenly proximity alerts began to wail. She narrowly avoided a small craft, only her complete control of the ship allowing her to slip past just barely missing it. 'Oh great Ghu', she thought and opened a channel to the cabins containing Micaya and Foster, but they were already on thier way to the main cabin.

"What happened?" Foster asked.

"A vessel, this isn't a normally traveled area of space." At the same time she was speaking to Foster she opened a com, delegating another part of herself to it, "Attention Vessel, This is the FM-935, Are you alright."

"What the hell is a small vessel like that doing all the way out here?" Micaya asked as she looked at the scans.

"I have no idea", Moria said.

Page sighed and set her journal down by her feet again. Just as she was about to look back out of her pod she was struck with a heavy force. She didn't have any time to think or even respond.

All was black, the beautiful colors had faded into a horrible black. Her head ached and the pain was getting worse. Seemed to get worse from a sound. What was that? A screeching beep was buzzing in her head.

And then there was light. Red light that flashed on and off. Now, that will worsen my already irritating headache. She also heard a distant voice.

"Attention vessel...." Blah blah blah.

It droned on and she fell asleep from the adrenalin. And then she was awake again. Seconds must have passed because the voice was still blaring in her ear.

Gee, she doesn't have to speak so loud. Gasp.

A loud rush of air exited her body through her wide open mouth.

She.

"Hello, this is Page of vessel Omega..." she paused that was her old craft's name, "subpod number one."

A....being?

"I seem to be okay, probably the worse hangover yet." Nervous laughter exploded out of Page, which just hurt her more.

"Um...may I ask where exactly am I?"

"Great", Micaya muttered, "A sodded rich kid."

"Now General", the older man admonished "there may be a perfectly good reason why she's out here."

"Yeah, hangover. You heard her." Micaya stood up, glancing back at Moria, "Can you take the waif into your hold?"

"Easily", Moria responded, "Let me just let her know what's going on. Once she's aboard that headache can be taken care of easily."

Micaya walked over and opened a panel, pulling out a needler. She touched the side of her cybernetic leg and insert the handgun into the secret compartment there then closed it.

"Now that's diplomacy", Foster chided.

"Yeah well at my school they yelled, they didn't talk. Now get your fossiled butt of the crash couch and lets get down to airlock outside the storage bay.

At the same time Moria spoke with the general and listened to thier banter she was speaking to the woman in the pod. "Well, frankly, your lucky. Your some distance from the nearest known intelligent habitations. We were on our way back, you just happened to be at one of our jump points for singularity."

N had no need of a shock couch...his superior body was capable of as many gees as was necessary for any sort of maneuvers concievable. Thus, he sorta leaned up against a bulkhead, guiding his armed scout through the cosmos via thought alone...

Something strange had happened...and it had tried to touch N. But nothing could influence him without his consent...and he had not given that consent. So the pitiful forces of a universe collapsing had rushed past him and his ship like so much water past a good sword-blade.

There was little that could bother an entity such as N...who rarely used his full name any more, because he rarely spoke to anybody anymore...because he rarely had the opportunity.

An entity as powerful as N did not often find the need to interact with others. He didn't really need a space-ship, but it felt right to have one...so he did.

In his natural form...and though he was capable of appearing as he wished, when he wished, his natural form was good enough for him...so it was good enough for everybody else...

anyways, his natural form was an eight-foot tall metallic-winged prehensile-tailed man with brown hair and piercing aquamarine eyes. Which was a bloody strange image...but when you referred to yourself as 'N' you could afford to be bloody strange.

The proximity scanner a-beep-beeped, and N allowed his senses to expand beyond the room, probing outwards through the dark...

one small lifepod, one occupant...one larger ship, a few occupants...

Chance had given N some toys...so N would take advantage of them...

He didn't bother to craft a persona or hail...he merely brought his armed scout closer and brought the twin Distort Cannon mounted on the nose to glowing life...

Page shook her head. Time healed her most eloquently. The headache was fading and soon would dissapate. What did they say, intelligent habitat.

Why not just call it civilization? Well, whatever.

"Thank you. I shall be on my way then."

She clicked off. I really do not want to deal with anyone right now. Was the birth just a dream from her crash with another ship. It was so vivid she was scared to believe that is wasn't true. She switched gears and started off.

It was a few bumps, but she would recooperate. Her ships, were, well, designed almost perfectly.

I hope I am not a bothersome to them, but maybe they can just forget about little old me. I need to think about what is happening.

Didn't the world just end before my eyes?

Didn't the world just begin before my eyes?

So, how can their be civilization within seconds?

Moria presented her narrowest aspect to the incoming attack vessel and opened the intercom while talking to the pilot of the pod and opening a dialogue with the incoming craft.

"Foster, Micaya, incoming attack craft, it's warming up it's weapons."

"Attention pod, there is an incoming attack craft headed our way with it's weapons warming up."

"Attention incoming craft. This is Central Worlds Exploration Vessel FM-935, we are unarmed."

Foster swore but knew that he certainly couldn't do anymore than Moria could and not even as much or as well.

"Can we grab the pod?" Micaya asked.

"I may be able to grab your pod in my hold on a fly by, but you'll need to hold it steady and on course." She said, adjusting her own course to that of the pod.

"I've done it many times, just slip down with open hold and scoop it up, then take off."

"I repeat, this is Central Worlds Exploration Vessel FM-935, our mission is peaceful, we are unarmed." If it was a pirate she gave them the greatest orgasm of thier life. She hoped it was a sentient race from somewhere nearby who thought they were intruders, at least then they might be able to open a dialogue.

"Good", General Quester-Benn said.

"Moria?" Foster asked, "How many times have done this OUTSIDE of a simulation?"

"I've never done this before", she admitted to the woman in the pod, "but that fighter doesn't look very pleasant."

"Umm, never."

Micaya and Foster groaned.

Page was quite aware of the current situation at hand.

So, sticking around would make no sense to her. She was unarmed and her pod could not mistand any amount of very damage, especially of that an armed ship.

She hated to run away, but logics told her otherwise. She would watch and maybe the crew from either side would need some expertise in the medical field that she had. In her time, not a lot of the captains had this type of training and that is where she had excelled at.

She pressed a button and hoped their technilogies hadn't surpassed her own. The computer droned out.
-Invisibility Shield Initiated-

She sighed. She would watch and wait.

"What happened?" Foster asked as the ship jolted.

"I altered course, the pod just disappeared. I'm going over the readings as we speak. I would imagine it's some form of cloaking technology, but as we have nothing like it I have no comparison. I altered vector away from the last known trajectory of the pod, just in case it is a cloak and not some unknown form of jump ability, I don't want to hit it."

Foster nodded and headed back to the main cabin with Micaya on his heels. "Presenting minimal aspect to the fighter I assume." It was a statement, not a question. He already knew the answer.

"Yes, but I can't outrun it."

Foster nodded, the unstated solution was in her voice. "As soon as you think your clear of the pod, and lets hope the other ship can't detect it."

"No offense, but I wouldn't mind a good destroyer around me right now", General Quester-Benn said.

"None taken, I wouldn't mind that myself at the moment", came Moria's reply.
Five Civilized Nations

Approximately two hundred thousand kilometers away, a powerful frigate exited from hyperspace. A sleek, beautiful warship, the CNSS-4193 Ticonderoga was brand-new, a slightly modified version of the standard frigate state-of-the-art Excalibur Class Strike Frigate, incorporating additional sensors and weaponry, as well as a more powerful AI.

As the Ticonderoga was only a routine shakedown cruise, it was not completely ready for combat. This situation did not mean that the vessel would not respond to a combat situation, but it meant that not all members of its crew complement had reported aboard.

When the sensors first detected the presence of several vessels in a normally deserted area of space, the crew did not react, until it detected the weapon signatures. Like startled bees, the crew sprang into action, as the frigate elegantly changed its heading as it vectored towards the firing, its powerful thrusters accelerating it through space. Over an open channel, the commanding officer of the vessel, Captain Liu Jue broadcasted a message.

This is Captain Liu Jue of the CNSS-4193 Ticonderoga, Combined Five Civilized Nations Navy. You are trespassing on Five Civilized Nations territory. Cease your aggressive actions immediately or you will be destroyed.

The frigate swiftly approached the other vessels, readying itself for combat...

N received the transmission directly...he had no need of technological middlemen to do something as simple as communicate. But it was fun to play as if he did...so...

"Enforcer, general hail, full frequency. Sound only."

The Armed Scout's comm system, created a handful of instants ago...beeped.

"Unknown Craft, Cut drives and heave to for boarding. This is your last and only warning. Should you choose to not heed this warning, you will be destroyed. Enforcer Clear."

The message was relayed instantaneously by N's own ingenious methods...methods that interfaced cleanly with the FM-935's communications package...

N sincerely hoped that the occupants of the larger craft would prove to have a sufficient level of sentience to be aware of The Oldest Rule of Interstellar Space Travel.

"Nobody flies Armed Scouts."

and the addendum to The Oldest Rule.

"Those who do should not be trifled with. Ever."

It was an incredibly good rule...and an incredibly true one.

Armed Scouts weren't very big. They could easily be taken for a 'strike fighter,' considering that they were single-person interstellar craft, the purpose was much the same.

Except that an Armed Scout was capable of operation for years, while a strike fighter would be lucky to have the air to go on for a week or so. But anyways.

The Enforcer moved ever closer, the turret directly in front of her observation tower swivelling to keep the larger craft...the FM-935...targetted at all times, and that turret mounted four 'Rift Ripper' cannon...sufficient armament to threaten capital ships...

and impossible to mount on anything -but- capital ships. But the first lesson one learned about N was that he did the impossible routinely...rules did not apply to him.

So he waited...and he wondered...and he played the game.

(OOC: The previous takes place before FCN's post. This would take place after.)

IC:

N snorted as he received the...ultimatum. A gesture brought his 'comm system' online...and he composed his response, sound only..

"Beware, ye who would impose rules upon those who ye know nothing about. Beware, ye who would stick your hand in the cobra's den. You are like to find it bitten, and yourself dead."

and with that cryptic message...the game got more interesting. N laughed.

(Amazingly, FCN, I'm writing a story here. I am playing an entity current referred to as 'N,' not the nation of Revenia. It wouldn't matter if you sent a task force of super-dreadnoughts...I'm not writing Revenia, and I'm not trying to write 'balanced' anything. So keep your stats. I feel no need to reciprocate...because there aren't any stats. As I said, N is not a 'balanced' character, nor is his ship a 'balanced' ship. Don't take this as an insult...this is just a warning. If you try to fight him, he won't lose...unless he wanted to lose, and then he would lose...

Anyways, the point is: Don't get angry if, should you try an attack N's scout, you find your weapons useless and an eight-foot tall metallic-winged prehensile-tailed aquamarine-eyed...thing...on your bridge...looking a might bit annoyed.)

(OOC: Revenia, if you want to create an uber-creature with uber abilities, do so in one of your own created threads and with people who will allow you to do such things. In this thread, please do not powergame/godmod. Your super ship is in this case a very blatant example of powergaming/godmodding. Although in this situation my frigate is also very, very powerful, it is not fully manned and fully operational, meaning that it only has about 60% of its standard crew aboard and with most of its weapons and shielding not yet operational. Please allow your ship and N a little more fair for the sake of this RP. If you create someone uber and unbeatable, you'll ruin it.)

OOC: Umm...hey guys. Yeah, its me, the creator of this story. Maybe you should ask me what kinds of things I want done with it. Although, I did not specify, so things are okay right now. I don't mind 5CN stats, they are amazing 'cause I would have never thought of them myself. Revenia, your character seems "perfect" and it is great, don't change it on my account. I do not mind godmodding I guess, but if it does conflict with others please be respectful and kick it down a notch. As for plot, I haven't quite desided so this is fine. Although, I am not much of a fighter, almost consider myself to be a pacifist like my nation, so this will just bore me if this continues. The reason I made my self invisible because I don't like wars, although, sometimes they are inevitable. So, just so you know, character development is what I am looking for. I want a different atmosphere, world, universe than what she is used to and so far it is the same. Yet, this is okay no one really knew, heck I didn't even know. Thanks...oh by the way I really don't like OOC in my threads, especially when they are long like this. Heehee.

(OOC: Apologies. Consider actions within this thread to have never taken place. Forgot that I was RPing and not writing a story. Entirely my fault. My apologies for 'ruining' the thread. Will refrain from entering into further threads, as most of my characters tend to be 'overpowered.'

However, I must disagree with 5CN on the charge of powergaming. I do -not- powergame. When have I -ever- Powergamed? If I was attempting to influence 5CN's nation (against his will) with N (and N is the factor here. The ship is just an extension of him,) then yes, I would be powergaming and godmoding in the extreme.

As it stood, I was writing N as less of a character and more of a 'plot item.' Intentions were never that N should be kill or destroy anyone...hell, didn't really -have- intentions.

Honestly...N is Nemesis Enforcer from the GI-Joe movie...just with god-like powers. I wanted to play a character based off Nemesis Enforcer (thus 'N,' or, as would have probably been revealed later 'Nemesis.') The opportunity presented itself, I took the opportunity...

But was obviously at fault. Forgive me for my presumption, as I said, I'll steer clear of any future 'character RP threads,' as I obviously lack the skill and mindset necessary to contribute appropriately to them.

Again, my most sincere apologies.

-Rev. )

EDIT: Ah. Excellent. Well, then...I'll just leave that little note up there because there are a number of points that I agree with, looking back upon the writing I did in the sort of 'fugue state' I enter when I feel that I've been snubbed drastically....just disregard the ret-con in it.

Suffice to say that Nemesis isn't a murder-death-kill character. His 'game' is one of minds. Consider: you are an effectively all-powerful entity who isn't likely to die anytime soon. Going around killing stuff gets -boring- after the first ten billion years, y'know?

Thought that was obvious. Guess it wasn't. My bad. Enough OOC.

Micaya leaned forward as the large ship made it's appearance. "Did you get your star charts mixed up? For supposing to be empty this place is getting busier than a three name high family social."

This is Captain Liu Jue of the CNSS-4193 Ticonderoga, Combined Five Civilized Nations Navy. You are trespassing on Five Civilized Nations territory. Cease your aggressive actions immediately or you will be destroyed.

"May charts are quite accurate, thank you." Moria said and altered course. "At least this one is hailing, unlike the other."

"Unknown Craft, Cut drives and heave to for boarding. This is your last and only warning. Should you choose to not heed this warning, you will be destroyed. Enforcer Clear."

Moria opened a channel to the large ship as she turned toward them and poured on the power, "Attention Ticonderoga, this is the Central Worlds Exploration Vessel FM-935. We are a peaceful vessel and unarmed. I repeat, unarmed. We request asylum against an unprovoked aggressor."

"oops, it hailed. It's wants us to heave too or be destroyed."

Micaya tapped her cybernetic leg where she had hid the needler. "What was that you were saying about MY diplomacy skills, Foster?"

"I was saying that you probably have family out here, seems I was right", he replied grinning.

'Only a little longer', Moria thought as she began the calculations for singularity.
