Largent

Metathesis stood on the bridge of the LSF Firestorm. The Imperial Star Destroyer had a certain elegance to it as it drifted through the void of space. This vessel was special however. It carried a crew of only Jedi and specially trained Zero-G Assault Troopers from Largent’s Imperial Guard. Of course it was manned by specially trained crew members but this ship was not going to fight a conventional battle.
It soon saw its target, the strange pirate ship loomed in the distance. These creatures had been wreaking havoc on Largentian ships for almost a year. They struck swiftly and then were gone forever. Some claimed they were not from this world but were merely those who had come to punish us from another world. They said we must pay for our sins.
Metathesis knew some day he would pay for his but today, as so many other days, his enemy would pay for theirs. As his thoughts drifted off to the cries of the children that still haunted his dreams he was interrupted.
A crewman approached him with reports that the pirates were detecting the ship. Metathesis nodded.
“Arm the Heavy Beam Cannons and the Pheonix Missle systems.”
“Yes sir,” the crewman then retreated back to his station. Moments later the same man informed Metathesis that the weapons were armed.
“Wait for my command to fire,” he instructed the men. He wanted a clear shot at the broad side of the ship so that they could disable it without destroying it.
The ship in front of him slowly turned. He finally saw his shot. “FIRE ALL MISSILE SYSTEMS NOW!” He commanded.
He watched as the long black missiles disappeared into the blackness. He waited for the shockwave and flash of light but they never came. “Where the hell did those missiles go?” He asked trying to surpress his worry.
“I don’t know,” the crewman replied, “I lost my signal on them. Either they detonated or disappeared into thin air.
“Well there sure as hell isn’t any air up here to you better find me my goddamn missiles and fast!” He shouted. He watched as the ship continued to turn. He saw his shot disappear. He would have to shoot to kill. “Fire the Heavy Beam Cannons!” He commanded.
This time he followed the blue flash of light right to the ship. Still, something was wrong. The Beam stopped short. “WHAT IS GOING ON?” He shouted frantically.
“I’m sorry sir! I don’t know.”
“Check for force fields.”
The crewman fumbled about for a minute. “Either they got tech way ahead of ours or they don’t have any cause I’m pickin’ up nuthin’.”
The ship ahead soon fired. There was a horrific thundereing noise that gave Metathesis a horrible jolt. He lay on the floor. The crewman looked horrified. “Sir, they took out our engine. We have an air leak too.”
Metathesis quickly took command, “Okay every on,” he screamed, “Get that air leak fixed and arm the Zero-G Assault Troopers. I also want all The Jedis in those suits. They will be boarding the ship soon.” He then turned to the crewman. “Weapons status?”
“Working but useless. If we fire the force we feel will spin us out of control.”
Metathesis knew he was a sitting duck. All he could do was make sure he put up a fight and got the leak fixed.
