This is the Out-of-Character thread for the fairly-closed RP, A Second Scream in Space (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=379415) (the sequal to an old NS series). You may want to ask if you can join in this thread, though it'd take the approval of both Klonor and Nanakaland to get you in. The old OOC thread was here (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=378649), but it is clear to keep the IC thread clear of OOC stuff, an official OOC thread must be created. Oh. Did I mention that no OOC posts go in the IC thread (you could have brief OOC messages at the end of IC posts, though)? This is for the OOC stuff.

[OOC: My ship can be assumed to have completed the Transition; any one of you can feel free to RP the appearance of the ship in a system where you have vessels that could pick it up. At first, it will appear as a powerful, tight EM field. The EM field then weakens but 'grows' in physical size, covering roughly eight times the size of the vessel making the Transition in. The ship is not visible to visual observation except by high-resolution telescope outside of about 100km range, due to low-reflective paint, and pinpoint accuracy would be required to sight it. In other words, it wouldn't be seen visually first; it would be seen on scanners first, then looked at visually, if at all. Silhouette is a simple circular shape from any angle, but due to seamless shape, the silhouette is a little deceiving: it looks perhaps about 30% smaller in size due to refraction of EM radiation (such as radar or other EM radiation-based scanners).

Feel free to RP its sighting, but not anything it does. It just appears. ;)]

Techon, that unidentified ship can be anybody. Nanakaland, you, even Ma-tek. I left it open so that, in case somebody doesn't want to interact IC'ly yet, nobody is put on the spot. Whoever wants to be it can be.

For those of you who may be confused about the space fight going on, it's Nanakaland vs Nanakaland. The New Glory disobeyed orders, so the Space Command sent the New Triumph. However, the tracking ship's captain is corrupt so the two ships end up fighting (well, the New Triumph is still technically behind, but the frigates and fighters with the New Triumph have attacked the New Glory). Someone may come in to break up the fight. if not, I'll probably have it so some Stalker pods are launched and the New Triumph's fleet is forced to retreat to protect the New Triumph.

Perhaps Outer Heaven may join just so someone can claim that part of the RP. I'd claim it, but my two ships are fighting each other right now.

Well, your nation doesn't have enough experience with the Stalkers...That means ICly, not OOCly. Your nation had no past encounters. Over half of the 5 people currently involved have had past encounters (with the exception of Ma-tek and Klonor).

...and I can't think of how to incorporate you in the RP.Sorry. There's pretty much no ideas on how you'd actually get in the RP. You can't just randomly waltz by (unless you're a respected RPer making a cameo like Ma-tek).

It wasn't too active without Klonor not having access to the computer. I was visiting out-of-state relatives for several days after Christmas. Summary of what happened since Dec. 17 (for Klonor):

The Nanakan forces attacking the NSS New Glory pulled back. Matek had a monster post in which I think doesn't affect the main plot much. You should read it though. Can't really take time to summarize that. Ask Ma-tek or something. LRR claimed the ship detected on sensors and is waiting for you.

Meanwhile, the stalkers attack the New Triumph. That ship makes it through nearly untouched, but the escort fleet is completely destroyed. The New Glory heads off to Klonor space and pretty much enters it. The New Triumph secretly follows with cloak on.

I recommend you respond to Techon. I'll have maybe one more post on the two Nanakan vessels entering Klonor space before you should do anything. Remember, only the New Glory is the only visable one and the New Glory thinks it's alone. The New Triumph is chasing the New Glory because the New Glory's crew disobeyed an order.

Guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to need to back out of this RP. I've just failed three courses and my parents are freaked. I've got to pretty much cancel all internet and TV activities, or else I find myself a high paying job and put myself through college.

It's been really fun (What tiny bit I've been here for) but I need to bow out. Sorry.

The RP must go on, though. The tradeship must then pass through Klonor space and into another nation's territory. Techon, LRR, Ma-tek, who will volunteer?

I'm sorry guys, but I am going to have to drop out of this. Nanakaland, it was an honor RPing the beginning of this all with you, and I hope we may RP once again in the futue sometime.

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps some Stalkers will escape leaving room for a sequal you can be in (though that sequal could be months down the road)...

Some stalkers could turn up in one of LRR's numerous mining systems?

Here's what happens (rough outline, things will be really drawn out):

1. The tradeship get boarded. They need to capture at least one Stalker alive to create a new weapon specialized to destroy Stalkers.
2. They go down to the Stalker homeworld. They (eventually) take out the Stalker Queen.
3. A sizable number of Stalkers somehow escape and attack LRR. They must be dealt with. One must survive to leave room for more sequals.

Basically, that's the three parts of the entire RP. Each one will probably be several pages (if not more). It cannot be rushed.
