The third [un]official NationStates DoGa Contest!
The third [un]official NationStates DoGa contest!
http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Terrorfex%20Uk/symbol.JPG
If things carry on like this, we might very well have ourselves a series! Anyway, it's time for the third contest to begin. As I said, the previous winner, Dargonese, has been in contact and we have settled on your aim ladies and gentleman.
Design and render an electronic, or robotic animal, to carry out your specified function.
As always, some -strongly recommended- recommendations--
The creation MUST be recognisable as an animal. No sticking legs on a battle-tank, thats not very creative!
Try to assign the creature an original function. Is it a sentry? Is it some sort of transport?
To reiterate a point, you must use only DoGa to create your entries. Any other program invalidates the level playing field this competition strives for.
As usual, a two week period, ending 20th December, though for the sake of the Christmas period, we may end this earlier. Ladies and gentleman, begin!

Other programs... Does that include a Photoshop background I've been working on that shows lots of explosions in a space environment?

Only the design of the....thing needs to be in DOGA. At least, that's how I interpret the rules. The background can be outside.
What? I have no idea? What? I am new and cant figure out for the life of me what any of these posts mean.

This thread is a contest for coolest 3d model created with the DoGa 3d modelling system.
The contest parameters, at the moment, call for participants to create an animal/living thing in 3d, making it look distinctive and cool.

Argh... My comp with L-3 and the model went out... I hope I can finish up my 'Eagle Ray' subfighter thingy in time, though.
This looks fun. Can't wait to see what everyone makes.

This creature originates on Sslaa V, and is used by the Rangers as an airborne patrol mount. Carnivorous and voracious.

The SMA-01A Iriomote is a sentient mechanical animal the size of a large tiger designed for both military and civil use. It's common roles include partoling, scouting, defense, attacks, and commando raids. It's key features include an advanced AI, ceramic-tiatanium alloy armor, and sharo claws and teeth that have systems that allow them to be superheated to temperatures where cutting through armor or flesh is as easy as cutting butter with a plasma torch.
Unfortunately, as the AI is designed after a cat's personality, the Iriomote units tend to be hard to control, lazy, and occationally violent at inappropriate times.

A war robot with a cat's personality? What if one saw a dog?
Nice pics, though.

The dog's owner would never find all of the pieces.
That's a badass beast. It's got my vote so far.
The contest is now closed, voting begins! Also to bring to your attention, a dedicated DoGA and CGI board is now up and running, staffed by me. Drop by and help it become a bustling centre for creative stuff!

Yeah, Im wanting to take part..
(this is a puppet of Dargonese..)
Sorry for the delay- The winner of the third NationStates DoGA contest is therefore Bryn Shander, congratulations!
In keeping with the new lineage, if Byrn could consider what he'd like to set the fourth contest as, and send his idea to myself via TG, or IRC or AIM [Terrorfexuk] I shall endevour to get it up as soon as possible.
