Banning Of Bullying And Such...

Note to Admins: This is not a question of banning anyone or insulting anyone. But express my veiws on a certai subject which effects Nation States.

Everyone knows what godmoding is, its in the rules, no one likes one. They get turned into casinos and such(Sep for instance). But who ever said that just cuz you've played nation states longer than other people gives you the right to brand someone as a godmoder? I tried to in Internation INcedents show how my country is developing a machine that triggers a plutonic explosion in "empty" space for the creation of a new planet, in other word, speeding up mother nature. I gave a very good, in my opinion of course, background on the research how my Emperor backed it with his full support and resources and yet the moment i have it, I'm accused of being the same as someone who says they have "1000000000000000000000000 nukez", to use Scarecrows exact wording. I believe the admins should create another section of the forum where they can judge and decide whats godmoding and whats being jeleous that someone else smaller than you starts to think of a good idea. In my express opinion its stepping on my right of creative thinking and roleplaying. I wish it in the hands of Admins, not senoir nation states players who decide. Admins are bound to be more impartial since they themselves have more respect for the rules they themselves created. So I sincerly wish for the Admins to discuss my request and to ban any kind of bullying(which in real life, you cvan be sent to prison for it in the states) and the keep senoir players from themselves playing as gods of the game.

FACTS OF NS LIFE #23

No matter how well you RP, someone out there will call you a godmoder eventually. If you're enjoying yourself, ignore them.

Might I have a link to the aforementioned thread?

If your RP is well written, with quality characters and a strong storyline...most of us don't care. There are folks who RP very seriously, and others who just like to be involved with a fun story. Do what you want, just make it good.

Thanks for the link.

Reading through it, I think you can chill. No one is really accusing you, and in fact, many are enthused about the discovery and seem willing to RP with you based on this storyline. Go for it!

Bottom line...have fun here. Many will participate, and many won't. Find those that will, and hang out with them.

I was accused early of godmodding in one of my first RP's, by a guy that could split himself into two beings, one of which was a sentient space-bunny wielding a lightsaber that could cut through the hull of starship. My so called "godmod" was that my character was wearing an exo-skeleton with a shoulder-mounted surface-to-air missle. Needless to say, I flipped Bugs the bird and simply left the RP.

IMHO, in the end, it's all about the quality of your words and story.

It doesn't look to me like he was trying to bully you, but offer constructive(?) criticism.
No matter how well you RP, someone out there will call you a godmoder eventually.I was accused of godmoding in my first RP for having such insane defences as sharpened tree trunks and balsa bunkers. :D

Godmodding is as annoyng as hell, but it's not against the rules.

Also, it's not the job of the mods or the admins to regulate roleplay and godmodding.

Just as a tip, the NationStates forum is a little more accepting of future-tech and fantasy type things than the number-whoring modern tech II forum.
