Cantano-Terpsichor

Geography
Made up of two mostly independent countries, 'Canta-Terpsi' is a large, sparsely developed union. It is mainly rich, thick forest, where magic is said to dwell. Human life is gathered around the Terpsichorin River, which runs the border between the two states. Cantanori Hall and Terpsich Maloj, the capitol cities, are gathered around the harbor at the mouth of the wide river. Upland are found rich farmland and many small villages, a few of which have a large tourist trade.
People
While the twin peoples live close together, there is a general distrust among large sectors of the population. Thus, a large part of Cantano is made up of Cantanori, a dark-skinned, hardy people, while Terpsichoria is populated by the Terpsich, just as hardy but with a general tendency to pale skin and height.
Recent generations have yielded more of what are called 'Caterpsin,' cross-race people who may be the future of the United Free Nations.
Industry
Farming makes up a large part of C-T industry on both sides. However, recent advances on the Terpsich side of the border have led to an increase in medical technology. The Coriwo Medicorp has recently come out with treatments for many common human disorders. (Thread on this soon to follow)
Government
The government starts with the People, or so the old saying goes. It's not really true in most cases. Here, however, this is truth - at least when it comes to most things. They are free to rule their own lives, to pursue their happiness and wealth, to do as they wish. The few laws, though, are strict. Lord Senator Dentrai is currently the sovereign. There are a few upstanding men in place should he die to take the Senatorship.
