"Tonight, I announce that the government of The Island States is hereby dissolved and has been replaced with the New Haven Socialist Republic, retaining the existing governmental infrastructure of The Island States, but spreading its immediate influence over many stellar systems. We also announce that we have the following systems under our control:"

"We will be establishing our new capital on New Haven, in the major city of New Freeport over a period of five years. We are also establishing a network of hyperspace gates between those systems to allow for easy access by hyperspace gate, and to be the base for our Advanced Tachyon Beacon Nav System, which will allow hyperspace jumps with almost 99% accuracy."
