The Parthians

What are the religious groups which exist in your nation? In Parthia we are about 75% Zoroastrian, 10% Mithraist, 5% Armenian Christian, and 5% other. The official religion of Parthia is Zoroastrianism, and the faith is activley supported by the government, though all religions are tolerated. Islam is regulated to an extent and members of Aryan (Meaning Persians, Medes, Lurs, Gilakis, etc.) groups cannot convert to it.

All humans throughout the Orion Sector are without religion. Granted that doesn't stop some for "worshipping" things such as money or people such as former emperors or generals, however this does not count as religion.
The Zabrak of the Empire have a sort of loosely connected cult of a religion that doesn't really stand for much outside of moral values and doesn't have a central figure, a creation myth, or other common religious notables. Nevertheless, the leader of the Zabrak, and in turn the Governor of the planet XIII, is a religious leader, concerning himself more with making sure his citizens are upstanding morally than international politics and/or war.
Finally, the nearly extinct Aurelians are deeply religious, forming a bond with certain planets and believing in an all-powerful god that will one day save them. This is interesting, given the unnatural sort of abilities shared by the Aurelians. However, being that there are only four pure Aurelians and only a handful of halfbreds left in an Empire in the hundred billions, the remaining members tend to find salvation in themselves more since their god has seemingly failed them. There is no Aurelian state, planet, or government. Their existance is unknown by most as well.

Religion is outlawed. Possession of religious paraphenalia and/or participation in religious rituals is a capital offense. Invoking the name of God(s) is grounds for an immediate and public beating.
Luckily, crime is unknown in my nation, as the indoctrination department is VERY well run.
Nonhypocrises

90% of the members of Nonhypocrises are either atheist or non denominational by choice. All religions are welcomed and accepted.

Well in my land, all Slivers worship Warfare, believing he is God (He's not).
Their firm belief in him has bestowed SOME power on him. Warfare was the BORG King. He had the slivers created, they thought he was God. the rest is history. This by the way, an entirly IC religon. It is in no way shape or form, Real.
Ecopoeia

WithWoman
01-12-2004, 18:27
In WithWoman we welcome all faiths, believing they are different paths on the same mountain. We believe that the Divine is beyond gender but have found it convenient to adopt a female form of address and interpretation, in the hope that it will balance the patriarchial dogma from some other states.
Some would therefore say we are 100% pagan but what is in a name ..... in fact we 100% a nation of spiritual good faith.
Most Neo Tyrinian 'colonists' are Protestant Christains, and most 'Natives' still follow to old Hakiri Polytheisim, although it's dieing quickly. There are sprinkles of other religions as well.
Falastur
01-12-2004, 18:32
Falastur is home to practisers of most faiths, although Christianity has by far the largest amount. It's population is also very religious compared to the high levels of atheism around in the world. Here are the percentages covering the largest religions of Falastur:

The Crecent Moon
01-12-2004, 19:03
Well, the Crecent Moon is a nation created by our god, Rashakiya, Lord of the Moon.
So, we kinda worship him, or, he's like our leader...
So, we sorta dont but do have a religion...
The Resurgent Dream

Asatru 99.9%
The Church of the Aesir is VERY similar to Asatru, for those who might not know.

The Eastern Bloc
01-12-2004, 19:16
Within the Affiliation, roughly 23% percent practice the long forgotten religion of Yevon. It was brought to Eurydice and the Affiliated Republics roughly 14,000 years ago, and has hung on since its widespread acceptance then.
60% of the population follows Anteism, a religion of sorts that basically believes a single man once rose up and defeated the evil that had spread through Eurydice. This man, known only as Auxilla in the teachings, was believed to be the son of Keer, creator of all things, and brother to Uther, angel turned demon and destroyer of all things. It is said in the teachings of the Antioch that one day, when Eurydice is in need of him most, Auxilla will rise up again and restore order to Eurydice.
The rest follow their own path.
The Evil Overlord
01-12-2004, 21:40
The Dominion government allows all religions. The general rule at Evil Overlord Enterprises is: "You got your gods. I got mine. If I get in trouble, can I borrow a couple?"
A more formalized regulation reads:
"Religious organizations may operate as they see fit provided Dominion Law is not broken."
Here is an excerpt from the Evil Overlord World Factbook Entry:
Religions: Government is officially Atheist, but people are free to worship how they wish. Christianity (various sects): 27%, Judaism: 15%, Islam: 14%, Other: 12%, None: 32%
The "Other" category includes almost every religion on the planet, and not a few new ones developed by the citizen/shareholders themselves. Note that nearly 1/3 of the population define themselves as "atheist" or "agnostic".
