An Ancient Wreck (OOC Thread)

Alright. I thought this was necessary since there's so many nations involved in this rp. This'll be for working out disagreements, etc. Since it's consensual rp, I'll start off with what I'm cool with.

War: I'm not cool with the total extermination of my population. I just made this nation and I'd like a chance to play it. Short of that, s'all good.

Characters: I won't be introducing any characters into this rp who I can't afford to lose. I'd feel twinky saying "Ok. I'm far lower tech and smaller than every other nation here but these people are invulnerable because I don't want them dead'

Slavery/Experimentation/Other Forms of Captivity: All this is good and, if it happens to a few individuals, I'd like to do a thread detailing what happens to them, keeping them as my characters in captivity. If it happens en masse, I will no longer claim the characters and you now have a captive Agdari population as part of your nation.

Colonialism: While I made this world with only my nation in it, it's obviously big enough for others to have holdings. You're welcome to establish colonies. You can find an uninhabited area to colonize, exterminate the natives in a limited area for a colony, establish a colony and enslave the natives or put them under an apartheid type system for labor, establish a colony and mix with the natives, or establish one and sign peaceful treaties with local tribes. All of those types of permanent holdings would be welcome to me as a player. In character, my people obviously will only like some of them.

So, yeah, that's what I am and am not cool with. I think it's fairly accomodating. Where's everyone else looking to go with this?

I'll leave your main population centers, such as they are, alone. None of my ships are currently outfitted for xenocidal operations, though I can't say anything for the other participants.

I have population centers? ;)

Seriously, I'm loving this so far. I was kind of shcoked to get such a big response.

I not looking for to kill a nation or anything (maybe one or two people since my people are preadtors by nature) and I might -might- visit a village or two (not in the killing sense) since the 4 at the crash site are dead/captured and I wouldn't mind meeting your people.

One dead, one dying, one on the borderline, and one captured. I'll make sure you have a village to visit. I made this OOC thread more to see where people wanted to go with this than to say where I didn't want to go. The colonialism section of my first post is practically a request.

Its a hit or miss thing really. Personally I was just looking for a thread to reintroduce Skeelzania, I've been absent for the last month or so and have all sorts of new gizmos to play with.

Anyway, I think this is a good time to lay out the overall abilities and attirbutes of Skeelzanians, specifically the infantry. The average Skeelzanian is seven feet tall, though eight and six footers are not uncommon. Unsurprisingly, they are a notch above Terrans on the strength-scale, though not really nimble.

The infantry in this RP wear the Templar combat armor, which protects against small arms, both kinetic and energy, though its by no means invulnerable. It also has a "chameleon" effect, where it adjusts its color to blend into surronding environments. It doesn't do this quickly though, and it's easy to spot if you look hard enough. It also has some strength-boosting abilities, though these are fairly minor.

24 K picture of the Templar Armor: (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Bad_Skeelz/EEPowerArmor.jpg)

As far as weaponry goes, the Army favors kinetic over energy weaponry. The standard infantry weapon is the 8mm Skeelzanian Assault Rifle (SAR). In this RP they hold 30-round curve magazines and can mount a 25cm (10 inch or so) bayonet. Larger infantry weapons, like minguns, also use 8mm rounds in belts.

I think that covers everything for now, if you have any questions just post them.

1st RP my eye. You were on these boards when I first made this nation. Anyway, your writing skills seem to have improved, though punctuation and grammar are still lacking (not really uncommon on these boards).

There isn't really any difference, just that people tend to have more wars in II.

Sorry for assuming they were human. My miss. Your captive will still try to run under her own power along with you, though. It's a cultural thing. I can explain more, if you like, or just try and figure it ic.

Being a noob myself, I'm not sure if I should answer. You seem good to me. Only thing I might suggest is to pay more attention to the little details in posts.

If you want to get into it they ARE human, albeit an offshoot from a world with higher gravity and radiation.

Could I get a description of the containment cell and of what exactly the doctor has?
Skeelzania
28-11-2004, 08:23
The cell itself is basically a steel-walled room in the warship's brig. There's a ventilation screen in the upper left wall, too small to squeeze out of. The heavy steel door is a lock-and-bolt assembly, with a plazglass viewing square and a feeding slot near the bottom.

Dr. Mouhad's cart is one of those double-decked gurney things you see in hospitals and and hotels. It has what you would expect to find at a physical: reflex hammers, stethoscopes, probes, etc. There are also a several cutting saws, ranging from 1 inch diameter to several inches. Other random equipment includes the neural uplink (currently on the creature's head), a tray of pills, several syringes and various bottles of fluid. As I mentioned in the thread, since the girl is the only one I have to work with I'll refrain from "exploratory surgery".

If there's no chair, just pretend she was sitting against the wall. I don't think it's a big enough deal to bother even editting.

So where are you wanting to go with this?

Rar! The Goa'uld return!

For the record, I was actually contacted about this a while back by telegram, but I forgot about it until now, very remiss of me I know…

Incidentaly, my plans at present are:

Land
Locate and awe some natives, then interrogate some for information
Find the local stargate and bring in a set of transporter rings and a small garrison there.
Transplant as many natives as I can get my snakey little hands on to another planet, to be named Agdaran (Original aren't I?) in the centre of Lord Atum's domain.
Use some for experimentation by Thoth, resident Nirrti/Pelops style evil goa'uld scientist.

1. Easily doable
2. Easily doable, you've seen how ready they are to believe people are gods.
3. Easily doable.
4. Doable. But, if you want, I don't mind Atum taking Agdar itself, as long as I maintained rping control of it as a vassal state, preferably through a local leader being allowed to swear loyalty to the Goa'uld but also through running an Underlord of some type, if that's more workable.
5. Doable, but there's also some old failed research you can dig up.

The Goa'uld are gods! Honest!

Well, the major reason they want to move people off world is because other groups have found out about the Agdarans, and this obviously means there is a high likelihood of outside interference in their affairs. They'll also be keen to claim the planet, and of course, everyone on it, but Atum is smart enough to know that keeping the planet with the likes of the Skeelzanians hanging around is going to be problematic, and Atum may not consider it worth the expenditure. As for RPing them, yep, I've got no problems with you doing so.

Incidentally, what’s the condition of the tel’tak’s rear compartment and engine room?

lol A shame my old space nation, Krowemoh, isn't resurrected yet, (Just sent the request today) and I didn't see this sooner. Would love to have joined in.

Agdar, if ya start any other RPs, space tech or otherwise, I would be honoured if you considered inviting me.

Oh, by the way, I'm loving the IC thread.. Keep up the great work, people. :D
