The Fodian General Cabinet. The single most powerful Assembly in the Federation. It is above the Townships, the Tribunes, and the Legislature. They controlled the Fodian Economy, as well as the Fodian Consumer. While yes, they ran on a system which placed no restriction on the citizen, they were still a Socialist State. In actuallity, they were the Economy. Essentially, Money.
Composed of all twelve Administrators of the Economy, and the one Prime Minister. A Full Cabinet meeting, the spare times they are held, are often only glorified arguments. No progress is made, no recessions occur, and no depth is realized. Debate is spun around their heads and contradicting views shackle their wrists. Most discussions remain static when the Cabinet is dismissed, as a result of all opposing views. Although any Minister would blame the static state of the Cabinet on any other Minister, there was one driving force behind them all.
Fear.
The room was completely dark, hushed whispers being exchanged between the invisible Administrators. A crack of a gavel, and they were silent. Who spoke next had a voice which exuded the emotion of, I couldn't care less.
"You all have had time enough to debate whether to implement this proposal. I believe Trythinking received this in his first hour of Duties. Widows has had this on her Agenda for over a decade. Sibyl can recite the Introduction Analysis. You all know this so well. You all hesitate as a whole."
Murmurs were passed between the Economy itself.
"...Ludvic, it is not that we do not know what good this will do for us, it is that we do not know what consequences there will be if we drain our resources to fund this one project-"
"-And if we focus on this one project, all we stand to do is to gain-"
"-Imperialism is not what will save Fod-"
"-Fod is not in need of a savior! Fod is in need of strength-" His fist met the table with a crack which could rival the gavel. "Enough of this! I have had enough! This has been dragged out for far too long. The proposal still stands undecided, but it will not by the time we recess. I will make sure of that by any means." And his tone turned deadly. "Any means at all."
Ludvic was not one to mess around with. Voice turned to ice as his demeanor shifted, solid and piercing in it's strength.
"For twelve years this has been sitting, growing stagnant and outdated, draining our finances and resources by existing in the still state it is in. A wretch which every argument has turned to, every problem blamed on, and every grievance pointed to. It has yet to even be initiated. I give you all one hour more. If your vote be Nay, enjoy the next passing hour as your last."
A metallic click was heard, followed by the epitome of silence.
