Makaarian Elections

As required by the Parliament Act of 1801, Makaar is obliged to hold democratic elections for its country. These elections not only affect the country of Makaar, but the Makaarian Protectorate States as well. Below are the candidates and their parties:

Conservatives
Internal Policy - More industry and higher tax rate to increase growth rate of the famed Makaarian furniture restoration industry. Increase power to the military.

Foreign Policy - Seperatism from major organisations (except the UN) and new independance declarations for the country.

Protectorate Policy - Suspend the Protectorate Governments until war is over.

Labour
Internal Policy - Cut down on industry and lower tax rates to encourage growth rate of families in the country. Remove the King's powers of legislation and remove his powers of dissolution of the government.

Foreign Policy - Pacifism.

Protectorate Policy - Give the protectorates extra power to decide on their own education system, defense system and tax rates.

Seperatist Party of the Protectorate States
Internal Policy - Increase Makaar military. Remove the King. Expel all foreigners.

Foreign Policy - War against neighbors.

Protectorate Policy - Give all protectorate countries their own governments and presidents.
