8:00 AM. A nice day. A baby out on the porch. The countryside.
Clank clank clank. A wagon clanks along, then another, then another, and another....gypsies.
2 of them sneak to the proche and snatch the child. The father, a Lieutenant in the Cherry ridge regular army. He grabs his rifle runs outside, and shoots the first gypsie, then the second. He runs out. One is dead, one barly alive.
"You leave my kids ALONE" he screamed at the wounded one. he let him suffer for 2 minutes, the shot him in the chest. The gypsie died.
Just then.......
Two messengerd ride up in a jeep.
"Sir, here are orders from the army's wilderness division."
He grabbed the paper and read it:
Phone lines have been cut, so we are doing it this way. There have been reports of armed gypsies stealing children and buring down there parents houses. Put a stop to it. I hereby promote you to Captain, and a company of 150 soldiers is enroute to help you. The chevrons are attached to the bottom, and good luck."
He wrote a message back
"They tried taking one of my kids, I killed 2 of them. We will wipe them out. The captured children's parents being dead, will be put up for adoption.I will carry this out. Send crews to fix phone lines.
Captain John Shale
"Send this back." he said to the messenger. The messenger departed.
He went inside, told his wife of it, got his uniform on, and left the house.
He went outside,and started up his jeep wrangler (modified for military use).
His troops arrived in dune buggies ( with mounted machine guns) along with there normal weapontry.
