The Ryukyu Kingdom is new to the modern world. We have only known of the modern world for only a few years. Before this new era, we kept our selves closed to the rest of the world accept for Korea and Japan. The Shuri castle and our associated daimyo wish to upgrade our military to the modern standards set by North America, mainly the United States, but at the same time keep our eastern standards, which have been fading with introduction of the western world to our Kingdom. Our beautiful landscape has been lost too, but enough of our complaining. We want to know, how can we get a hold of western military technology. We wish to upgrade our police, magistrates, military, etc. We are also very interested in your "airplanes".
