OOC: Just vote, you're playing the part of my government voting on various issues. When i get the same issues, then i'll either start a recount depending on the last vote, or it'll be thrown out by the judicial branch or whatever. This poll will be open for 1 day.

IC:

In response to a slow news week, certain highbrow newspapers have stirred up the debate over voluntary vs compulsory voting.

As many newspaper companies are starting all accross the nation, many views have cluttered the political scene!

"Too Much Competition!" seems to be the current rhetoric out there.

"Compulsory voting makes about as much as sense as having the death penalty for attempted suicide," says civil rights activist Pete Winters. "You can't force people to be free! You can only give them the choice. Besides, if all those derelicts who can't be bothered to get off their ass once every few years voted, who would they elect? I shudder to think."

The popular leader of this issue is Mr. Pete Winters. He has also announced to be running for President of the USA (Akiremah). He will be running for The Akiremah Party (TAP). It's the most popular party, and it is left-wing.

The current president is Bill Bush of The Republic Party (TRP). This of course is a right-wing GOP.

"It's not contradictory at all," argues political commentator Melbourne Steele. "The fact is, if not everyone votes, the outcome isn't truly representative. Some groups--like elderly gun nuts--vote more often than others. That's why always we always end up with such terrible politicians."

Controversal political commentator for WNC (Wolf) News Channel) is at it again, but in a surprise announcement, is running for president of the USA! But his extremist views is still scaring many people, and noone knows if he will get the backing of the party.

***UPDATE***

TRP has rejected backing Melbourne Steele!

"This raises an interesting issue," says Larry King, your brother. "And that is: why do we need elections, anyway? Seems to me it would be much simpler if you just decided what was right, and did it. Wouldn't that save everyone a lot of time?"

Larry King is hard on Mr. Watts running again for president, and threats if he doesn't, he will run as an Independent and will obviously run a dictatorship! Larry King is at it again! LW (Left World) station has announced that they will be firing left-wing commentator Larry King for this unbelievable announcement!

Mr. Watts has not giving an announcement that he will be running for president again or not. And as a side note, Larry King is the half brother of John Watts!!

Most of the news outlets predict a voluntary voting system! But many people at the state level have been very angry! Riots hit in the capital of Notingsaw, and in other cities such as D'leafmool, and Krawen, which are both located in the NE part of the country. After a few hours of hard fighting, tear gas was everywhere, vandalism was everywhere, but in the end, the great people of law enforcement prevailed!

Notingsaw is a district tucked right in the state of Erawaled. This is the first state of the Akiremah! D'Leafmool is the 2nd largest city in Yesrej, while Krawen is the largest city in Yesrej. The state has most of the population under its belt, and it is the most violent!

Things are heating up! The margin is too close to call a winner, so both major parties have asked to do a recount. This went to the supreme court today, and a recount will take place, it will just take awile, and for the time being, voluntary elections will take place!

Right-wingers are furious today!
