The Thief was the a prototype spheroid drone design that also held the first miniaturized gravitic engine prototype, and went through a number of other, less successful prototypes. Initially intended for use in construction and in vehicle and building maintenance, it has since found use in combat situations as well. The drone is mobile and agile, and through the use of retractable tool and manipulator pods, can be used for lifting, holding, welding, assembly, disassembly, and computer interface attachment. The perfect drone for use in infiltration, or probably living to to their name; theft. It was missing a component, though, one that could only be found in foreign hands; a hyperspace drive.

Chechelia Novoseletskii stood at the big window, looking out into the fading twilight. As she watched, the lights began to flicker on across the colony, turning night back into day.
Dr. Chegodai Ozherel'ev walked up next to her and leaned on a drone. "What'cha looking at?"
"The horizon," she said. "I've been wondering when we'll be allowed to go. The laboratory is taking an awfully long amount of time thinking it over, resources are low and the project will die out if we don't present something to The Council soon."
"To Sunset? Yes, that's probably the only decision we can make, now."
