“It’s beautiful!” the Czar exclaimed. Kristen Rekjyavich, wife of Prince John, held their newly born son in her arms.

“I concour fully,” John said, smiling and kissing his wife. The doctor took the baby and held it when Kristen offered.

“I truly love this job. Every day I see God at work giving life.” The doctor was truly happy.

“It must be wonderful,” the Czar said.

“It is. As you well know, though,” the doctor said, turning to Kristen and John. “I must take it for checkups, etc.”

“I know. Please do it quickly.”

“I shall try. God Bless,” the doctor said and walked out.

“This is a real blessing,” Ivan said to his son. “The gift of life right before your ministries; it is a true blessing.”

“It is indeed,” John replied. “It is indeed.” Ivan looked at his watch and a sad look came across his face. “Unfortunately, I have a meeting to attend. You can only push some people back so far before they get angry.”

“Let me guess,” Kristen said. “Alyanov?”

“Right” the Czar said with a smirk.

“God be with you,” John with a laugh.

“I’ll need him,” he responded, smiling. “Congrats,” the Czar said, and walked out of the room.

“Such a nice man, your father,” Kristen said to John after he left.

“He can be strict and ruthless, though.”

“I know. I saw the Communist situation. That made your father seem like a devil.”

“I know. It was to give a message. You realize he locked himself in the church that day and would not come out for more than twelve hours.”

“No, I did not.”
“He does not like war or death, which is odd, being an ex-SPARTAN. He is probably one of the most liberal in the Rekjyavich-Andropov house. I’m surprised he was allowed in office.”

“No bother, though,” Kristen said happily. “Look at what he’s done. The nation is at its best times.”

“I know,” Prince John said with a small smile. “I have quite a reputation to live up to.”

“You’re kidding,” Ivan said to Alyanov. “How could that happen?”

“Honestly? Consumer confidence is the problem – or rather, lack of it. Every year this dip happens. The Tundra is a hostile environment.”

“Is that why the DOW is dropping?” Ivan asked Alyanov.

“Correct. People still think Prince John will die in the Tundra. Not just the environment that is hostile, you know – it is the people, too.”

“Oh?”

“Yes. They are mostly sorcerers up there, while the Rekjyavich-Andropov House is fundamental Protestant. They don’t like John up there.”

“Okay. Is there anything to worry about?”

“No, there is nothing to worry about. In fact, it will probably go higher upon John’s safe return home.”

“Okay, thank you.”

“Yes, it is.”

“Is everything ready?”

“Good. It shall be complete soon.”

Hello, I’m Tom Brokaw with MSNBC Nightly News.

Just recently, Crown Prince John Rekjyavich announced the birth of their new son, named Nicholas. He will be issuing a statement fairly soon.

Oh! Here he is.

Good afternoon, citizens of Derscon and the world! The LORD has truly blessed us. We have been given the greatest gift of all – the give of life!

As our first priority is Nicholas, our evangelical crusades unfortunately must be postponed. When we have them, though, we will be going International when I finish touring Derscon! A few nations are already lined up, but if you wish us to come, contact the Dersconi Embassy or the Foreign Ministry.

"We would like to congratulate the Czar's family on the birth of their new son. We would also like to open up negotiations if that is possible so we can truely honor this day in the way a birth of a royal child is supposed to be."

The Ambassador to Derscon looked at his Television set as the news was announced.

"Well now they'll have a celebration to handle this birth." He said to himself as he shuffled through some papers. As he was going though his papers, he noticed that the economy wasn't doing so well.

"This will not make the Czar happy." He thought "Unfortunately, we are in no position to help." He said with a mutter. He tapped the button to connect him to his secretary.

Yes Ambassador Williams?

"I need to set up an appointment to see the Czar! Also, if you can swing it, I would like to meet the new addition of thier family. And do you have the casualty list from the Battle of Minbar?"

I shall get on the appointment sir and I won't garuntee that you'll be able to see the new addition sir. That'll be up to Prince John sir. And isn't it wonderful? She replied with joy in her voice since she is a native Dersconian.

"Yes it is joyous! Now do you have any news regarding the Battle of Minbar."

No Sir.

"Very well then. Just set up that appointment with the Czar." He disconnected himself from the intercom and sighed. "No news is good news normally" he said to himself as he goes back to work shifting through the paperwork on his desk.

“Just wonderful,” John responded. “I’ve received hundreds of congratulation letters.” Ivan smiled.

“I always thought they liked you better than me.”

“Don’t say that,” Kristen exclaimed. “You know everyone loves you.”

“I wouldn’t go that far.”

“Anyways,” Ivan said, changing the subject. “How is the planning going?”

“The planning is going smoothly, for once. I cannot wait to finish touring Derscon. Going international is quite a thrill!”

“Be safe,” Ivan said.

“I will.”

Dear John,

I appologize if I do offense to you by dropping the titles in your address, but I think your name sounds better without them. I think the greatest title of all is "Christian". It is a title that we are not born into and cannot be attained by our own merits, but only by the redeeming blood of our saviour and the pure sovreign grace of God.

That is why during my entire tenure as Emperor, I tended never to use the title if I didn't have to (official documents and such).

I say this not to tell you what you should think, but what I think. I have great respect for the throne of Derscon, but I have greater respect for the throne of our Lord.

You would always be welcome to call at any time you wish. My current address is in the province of Oberhausen...I grew tired of Reichsburg and feel more at home in this, the more conservative area. My friend Dietrich (the Arch Duke) has lent me his palace indefinately as he now resides in the Imperial residence in Reichsburg due to his job requirements. Your father may remember where the Arch Duke's old palace is, ask him, and give him my warmest greetings and best wishes.

I fully understand where you are coming from. The thing about it is that Derscon is a large not only family oriented nation but also out of respect for ones elders. If I fail to include the titles, it would be looked down upon by a lot of Dersconis, as leaders are to take pride in their titles.

Remember, Derscon was not founded Christian.
