Since the end of the Haaregradian/Todeskopf war the Armed Forces of the CISR (formerly Haaregradia) has been bloated and disorganized, now, with the signing of several bills into law the CISRAF will be restructured to reduce waste and improve capabilities for fighting future conflicts.
While some of the changes were symbolic, for example all troops are now issued a sword upon completion of entrance tests, some are seen as dramatic. The introduction of Sentinel Divisions is one.
The Sentinels are light mechanized infantry units, capable of quick deployment. They are seen by Ground Command as the prefered soldiers for peacekeeping roles, and also are trained to hold ground behind heavier Tank and Stormtrooper divisions.
The navy is undergoing extensive upgrades, in most cases older hulls are being upgraded and renovated extensively.
Many smaller changes are also being made to reflect the changing nature of combat in the foreseeable future. By 2024 all changes will of begun to be implemented.
