GENRE/STYLE: Southern Rock

BRIEF BAND BIO: Originally gator farmers in Everglades City, Florida, Bobby Worth, Norman Skinner, Judd Sutton, and the former bass guitarist Ezekiel Ulmer became recognized nationally in 1996, when they formed Gator Farm and released their first single, “Old Smokey”. The song was a massive hit in the Sunshine State, and in 1998 Gator Farm went platinum with their albums “Lizard Gizzards” and “Tribute to Dixie”. In 2000 Ulmer died in a tragic trucking accident and was replaced by Worth’s distant cousin, Amos Kennedy. Since then the band hasn’t had as much success, though “Moonshine and Whiskey”, an album dedicated in remembrance of Ulmer’s life, struck an emotional chord with the Floridian people. GENRE/STYLE: Industrial/Death Metal.

BRIEF BAND BIO: One of the few bands in Kelonia to sing in English, they courted controversy recently with conservative groups after their recent single 'Teenage Bleed', dealing with the subject of child abuse from the perspective of the victim. Dealing with concepts using mechanical processes is a trademark of this band, while mohawk-haired girl guitarist Janjene Mataney is considered the best female guitarist in the region. Her and singer (or should that be roar-er?) Mayat Stafelnaya were outed as a couple after their third album Sermon, which provoked accusations of favouritism within the group, though they have come back strongly with their new release, Remnant Block, tracks from which they'll be performing at the festival.

SETLIST: 'Virtue', 'Session 56', 'Shutdown', 'Steamhammer', 'Scream Release', 'Passive' (Instrumental), 'Teenage Bleed', 'Skinless', 'Remnant Block', 'Pattern of Scars', 'Obsolescence', 'Shutdown'.

Kaze Progressa
14-11-2004, 15:18
BAND NAME: Monaa
MEMBERS & INSTRUMENTS: Davae Hawl, Kata Macaga, Kristi Bakar, Davae Rogas, Casee Wattas. All five sing: Kata plays piano/guitar/drums, Kristi plays piano/guitar/violin, Davae R. plays piano/guitar/cello/drums. The group will usually change within a set dependent on the song.

GENRE/STYLE: Was once described as 'beyond obvious explanation', but one writer tried his best: 'Monaa's varied songs are nearly all anthemic, but divided into two types; excitable, noisy rock and lighter-waving softness. Each can in turn be divided into two types; the cheerful and the depressing.' (quotes from Musi-KP magazine)

BRIEF BAND BIO: At one time, possibly the biggest act in the world. The first international act to top the Jukebox Charts for both singles and albums in the same week (with 'See The Light' and 'No Reason To Cry, No Reason to Smile' respectively). Shot to fame with the dramatic angst-laden anthem 'Because They Hate Me (Why Me?)', which gained its dramatically dark atmosphere from a key change just prior to recording to account for Davae struggling with its now-legendary falsetto chorus. Planned a collaboration with the Trapeze Accidents before Rede Cornucopia's tragic death from cancer. Have been somewhat quiet internationally of late but still hugely popular in Kaze Progressa. Continue to write new material, and have made lineup changes, harmony vocal specialist Casee the most recent addition.

GENRE/STYLE: Electro-Raggametal (think a cross between Skindred and Slipknot)

BRIEF BAND BIO:Brothers Danny and Peter Greer originally started the band in their garage with their friend Sam Screet. As they began to play gigs at local clubs, they picked up Kelly Brown and Cory Kendall. They began to evolve their music, and one night, they were at a concert when they saw a guest vocalist perform with another local band. It was Jamal. BAND NAME: Canis Lupus
MEMBERS & INSTRUMENTS:
Katarin Sorvik- Rhythm guitar and lead vocals
Knut Tveitan- Bass guitar and backing vocals
Atilla Novikas- Lead guitar
Bjorn Kvel- drums and percussion
Idun Aereth- piano, organ, keyboards, violin, cello.

GENRE/STYLE: Symphonic Black Metal
BRIEF BAND BIO: Callisdrun's best known band, Canis Lupus was formed from several friends from high school in the northern city of Drun, after getting back in touch a few years after graduation, several being in the navy at the time, the others at the University of Callisdrun. They slogged through the underground club scene in Callisdrun for a while and now play mostly theater sized venues. They are known for their complex arrangements which contrast the beautiful with the bludgeoning, subdued with furious, etc. Both vocalists are quite talented at both the standard screeching black metal style of vocals and traditional operatic singing. Their latest album, Plains of Sorrow, based almost entirely on Callisdrunian history, has been hailed as an epic masterpiece by many critics within the genre, and even some outside it. When touring in foreign countries, Canis Lupus generally plays an all-English language set, though some of their songs, especially on the first album, are in their incomprehensible native tongue.

SETLIST:
1. Our Manifesto
2. Winter Solstice
3. Of Blood and Passion
4. Funeral Fog (Mayhem cover)
5. The Dehumanization of Mankind
6. Plains of Sorrow Part I

OOC: That would be pretty cool. I personally am not much of a death metal fan, but I know that's unusual among black metallers, heh heh. What did you have in mind exactly?

OOC: Well i'm into everything.....But anyway perhaps we could make it darker by having 2 0r 3 basses...And perhaps the voices could do some kind of double harmonic..And for the song we shall just design a new one rather than do a cover

I'll try to get other people to post on here. We could always have multiple bands, though that would be harder to keep track of.

BAND NAME: a starlight conspiracy
MEMBERS & INSTRUMENTS: Aaron: vocals, programing, Dylan: guitar, Joe: guitar, Mitchell: bass, Mark: drums
GENRE/STYLE: emo/noise
BRIEF BAND BIO: a starlight conspracy was a moderately successful emo band in the CISR until their recent single "Emo Is Dead, Fucking Get Over It" began heating up the charts. The band formed when high school friends Aaron, Joe and Dylan put together a band for fun. Their music is a weird blend of wall of noise 'shoegazer' type guitars, frantic octave chord and noisey Sonic Youth-inspired breakdowns into feedback with twinkly the Cure and Saetia inspired moments. Occassional samples, programmed beats and electronic bits add to the overall texture of the band's music. Quiet whispers and sung vocals balance out hoarsely shouted and screamed vocals, the overall sound is of pure emotion. - One Tree Records
