Would anyone like to participate in a storyline set in the dreaming itself? This is really a character adventure, one character per player. I'll only have one adventurer though I'll play the locals and antagonists as well. This is, effectively, a high fantasy rp. The themes and technology of the modern world still exist outside the dreaming, and characters will mostly go back to them, but they are left far behind for the time being.

I'd love to do it.

Dream - it sounds interesting. If you have any further information/leadins/settings you could provide us with here, it would help. Are there any particular sort of characters you're looking for, or does it matter? And does it matter what sort of world they're originally from?

I don't know what Amanda's dreams are. The dreaming is the limitless realm of human myth and legend accessible through trods and raths. Somewhere in the depths of the dreaming is lost Arcadia, homeland of the fae. It does connect to the various levels of the Umbra via Paths of Balor. Technology doesn't work there and non-fairy magic works...weird. Non-Fae have to be enchanted to be able to enter, which isn't that hard to take care of so all characters are welcome.

Sounds fun. White Wolf there? I never did get to those books, unfortunately while we were playing. Mostly familiar with the old Vampire bits and a lil ' Mage.

Still ... interested all the same. So far I've played this nation as a fantasy based one, so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to intro a character from it. Got one in mind that hasn't seen much play that I think has potential, but I can work up just about anything to fit the story without too much trouble. After all, in it for the fun, no?

The whole thing will probably be a character adventure intertwined with a more collective war thread that'll be running at the same time. Like, to use a Lord of the Rings analogy, this thread is the part of Return of the King with the trip to Mount Doom and the other thread is the war between Gondor and Mordor. Anyway, this'll all happen while Grand Duchess Beatrice and High Lord Quin war for control of House Balor.

Interesting...put a check by my name under the possible list. I'll get back to you on this.

Also, for those that may be interested in simply knowing, we're planning on having a Dreams II to pick up where Dreams left off. We're not sure if we're gonna have other new people in the thread, but keep an eye out and you might just find something about it.

Nothing like that. This isn't actually anyone's dream. It's related to them and the how of that is kind of complicated. But think of it as a different realm of reality where high fantasy rules the day. It co-exists with the earthly realm but technology doesn't make an appearance just because most modern or higher tech doesn't work here.

I do believe that this is going to be an excellent RP. We have some great RP'ers (can't say that i'm one of them, not as good as any of you guys). This will be fun.

I'll start the thread as soon as the Balor War thread gets going.

If you could, once you get the thread up, link it here so we'll know? I'm not online as much as I'd like these days, and would hate to miss it. Far easier than tg'ing folks with it and all.

Again, I'm amazed at how many people assume this has -anything- to do with ATG's ... stuff. And the arrogance of suggesting you 'make sure it takes a different path' ... whatever.

I'll try to find a place for one of my characters once this thread gets going, probably Lord-Magus Balthazar. I was going to have him just disappear, but I suppose he might have ended up in the dreaming after getting sucked into the spirit world.

Alright. Might have to come in a little late after everyone's had a chance to get into the dreaming.

Sounds good. He probably would be arriving late, seeing as he is just wandering about the various planes of existence.
