Parliament House
Anatoba City, Austar Union
Reclining back into the comfort of the leather seats of parliament, Colin Morris would never have even had the ability to dream of the situation which was soon to evolve. Proceedings today appeared to be particularly normal and indifferent from any other; ministers were arguing, clerks were recording, and also as usual, the Speaker was at least trying to retain what little order still resided within the building's art-cloaked walls. Outside however, existed a world not quite so conformed to the fundemental order of ministers. Much like the organised world of parliament, dreams certainly existed outside in what could, would, or should be considered 'real' society. Some existed for the satisfaction of one individual of two and a half billion, or some would be intended for a group, or perhaps even a gathering. Like there always would be however, greater dreams and visions for the future existed, and those who held them were also those who had been blessed with the ability to emplace such ideas into the ghastly halls of reality.
Whilst the heated debate continued to rage within the parliamentry halls, ministers and members of this somewhat hidden world would have hardly heard the echoing footsteps created by the man who was now crossing the marble floor of the lobby downstairs. Dressed in a long, dark cloak, the man strided rather confidently toward the reception which sat on the far side of the well decorated room. He knew exactly what was and wasnt expected of him, and didnt plan to achieve anything different. As he reached the main counter, he set his briefcase down onto the floor with a tiny click, and while he waited, removed his gloves carefully to reveal two somewhat slightly tanned hands. The lady behind the counter was obviously quite engrossed in her activities, because she jumped when she noticed his presence, and looked at him as if waiting for him to speak.
She would never have expected the bullet which came from behind.

(ooc: Hope you don't mind me getting involved...)
Pylon was a political refugee/Kris'Hanni Familiar, working at a diner in downtown Anatoba. He was bored, but at least he was safe here (Prime Minister Morris had granted him asylum, and threatened the Kris'Hanni with war if they even tried to recapture him). The job pulled in enough cash to live, anyway.
"Pylon, you seen Makar?"
Pylon turned around to see his boss, Hugh Kryan, standing with a concerned look on his face. "He's started to worry me, some [expletive] about a revolution and conspiracies and whatever. I think he's paranoid, but he didn't show for work today."
Pylon shrugged. "He said something about going to the Prime Minister yesterday. I told him to say hi for me."
Makar looked even more concerned. "I don't like that. I think that Makar could crack at any time, and him goin' to the big guy himself worries me."
"Now YOU'RE paranoid. Makar'll be fine. I'd worry more about the lunch rush." Pylon finished wiping down the tables and went behind the counter.
It was then that Makar walked in with a Waisan Ra'ashi RF-65 by his side. Pylon rolled under the table, but Hugh didn't hide fast enough to avoid the shot entering his skull. Anyone else in the diner was shot.
Except for Pylon. Makar never knew he was there.
"I can't have you people ruining my plan! You're all part of the conspiracy!" He closed the door and headed towards a local television studio.
Pylon just stayed under the table, shaking.

Six Minutes Later...
Parliament House,
Anatoba City, Austar Union
Only a small window of opportunity would exist while the main receptionist was out of commission. Back in the older days, full security teams would have been monitering such facilities rather heavily, for they would have been quite high-profile targets for terrorist attacks. However, since the nation had lowered international activity significantly, such precautions had become significantly relaxed, and the entire lobby security relied on the receptionist, and several hidden yet effective security cameras. Now that the receptionist was somewhat murdered in her chair, the whole first level of parliament secuirty relied on the eyes of one man; the man who notably had accepted payment for his ignorance.
Climing the everlasting steps to the main entrance, a team of approximatly fifteen specialists made their way inside with weapons fully drawn. Clearing the lobby, they spread quickly along the walls, making sure they were covered from any fire in or from around the room. Daniel Simmons was the head commander, and was the first to inspect the bloody mess which caked a strange mix of blood and brains all around the main desk. The computer still flashed a box, a question which the lady didnt appear to have the opportunity to answer. Unfortunately for her now, for her body now lay on the floor, in the strange mix of bodily fluids.
Being the first to climb the stairs inside, Daniel heard a series of slow footsteps coming toward him, and chose wisely in laying flat across the staircase. Imagine the surprise when the older man appeared at the top, and noticed the men somewhat concealed around the room. A quick bullet from Daniel's silenced weapon prevented any kind of alarm being raised, at least for now. Standing up slowly, he moved forward and crawled to the top of the staircase, which revealed to him a long hallway which at the end obviously resided the main hall of parliament. Above the double wooden doors at the end flashed a sign, Proceedings Active. Of course, such a sign would hardly prevent this crack team from actually passing.
From the blueprints studied, Daniel was well aware of the hidden security box, with the two guards inside. They really were the only preventing the team from passing. Lunchtime was obviously quite the clever time to strike, when most of the staff wouldnt be walking or guarding the halls of the government building. And so standing up tall, the commander rolled a smokebomb carefully down the hall, just so it stopped outside the door which the security officers resided. The hall filled quickly with smoke, and the door burst open. If anyone was to know of the breach, these two men were more than aware. Anyhow, they could hardly see through the thick smoke around them, and made easy targets for Daniel and his men.
Once the bullets were quickly fired, the team scurried down the hallway toward the oak doors at the end, and prepared to enter as quickly as possible.

OOC: KrisHanna; I dont mind you posting, as long as its something at least relevant to my thread in particular, and would fit in well with the storyline. It seems as if you have managed to do that, all the while not affecting the main plot. For now, I dont particularly want full on active involvement on a political level until the main bulk is completed, but until then minor related things are most welcome. I assume your event there happened somewhat before the actual shooting of the receptionist, so im just gonna RP as such. Thanks for your input. :)

"And in more local news today, police are investigating a shooting which occured in a popular downtown diner. Some thirty-four people have been confirmed dead, and three others missing. Police have found only three survivors, who are currently being treated for psychicatric distress, and will be questioned by police on the matter as soon as possible. Local police so far have refused to comment on the matter..."

Sitting in his leather chair, face weathered and old, Taylor Moore pulled out his cigar and lit it. Inhaling the deep, rich smoke, then blowing it out in a clodulike billow, he sighed. "Old age is quite bore..." He scribbled on a piece of paper, his loops scraggly due to his age. Pulling his hand up to his cigar, he smiled. "Well... Maybe I've got someone to talk to." He reached over and grabbed the phone. Picking it up, he dialed the number to his friend.
"Ah, hello senorita. Would Mr. Grove be in?"
A perky voice resonated from the phone. "No, not at the moment. Would you like me to have him call you?"
"Ah, sure. Tell him Taylore Moore needs to speak to him. It's quite urgent."
He hung up the phone forcefully. "Maldecion..." Shaking his head, he took another drag on his cigar and threw it in the trash. "Damn you, you guilty pleasure. You shall be the death of me." He nodded kindly and began to take a nap in his seat.

Presidential House
Anatoba City, Austar Union
Edward had recieved the message rather quickly after arriving back in the Presidential House. Sandra, his personal secretary, was quite efficient in her job, making the President quite glad he had someone like her among the rest of his staff. Reading the short note, he remembered his old friend, and decided to call back immediatly. It had been so long since they had talked, and as childhood friends, they had both dreamed of gaining such a politcal position. What a coincidence it was that both of them had become world leaders, in two seperate nations.
Opening a video call direct to his office, he waited until his friend's face appeared on the screen, "Hello sir, I just recieved a message of your calling. You said it was urgent."

"Ah, hello Edward." He smiled, his old eyes twinkling. It had been a long time since he had seen his friend, and he knew he would listen. "I have that... feeling again. The same feeling I had when the Nazi's overan my country. I know it's just suspicion, but yet I feel like... I just can't explain it." He knodded sullenly, and looked down at the map on his table.
"Would it be possible, that any dissent has risen as of late? I am not doubting your leaderships, but the waves seem so tiny, but they do grow."

(OOC: Don't worry, am working on trying to keep this related...trust me ;) although that shooting happened the same day as the rest of it...)
Marak had reached the TV studio. He went through the doors, and the security checkpoint beeped off as his gun was still there in his hand. The employees looked up in shock.
Then they looked at Marak opening fire on all of them.
The "On-Air" light was on in the broadcast booth. It was the local news. Marak opened it anyways. The broadcast team looked to the door--the cameras were still on--and Marak pulled the trigger again.
Nothing.
"Dammit!" He changed clips. One of the people had run towards a wall phone, and another shut off the cameras. Marak cocked his weapon and fired at everyone, being careful not to hit any equipment.
The phone reciever hung harmlessly from its set. "Hello? This is security. Hello? Hello?!" Marak hung it up.
He went over to the equipment board. He pressed a few buttons and the camera's "On" light shone once more.
He stepped in front.
"Hello, citizens of Anatoba City. I am you brother in citizenship Marak Helms. The new future has begun. Already I have killed several citizens in on the government conspiracy to deprive you all of your birthrights. But that government shall be destroyed soon. And I have dispatched myself to tell you of such. The new future, ladies and gentlemen."
He then leveled his gun at the camera and ventilated it.
Static.

Presidential House

President Grove frowned, "Well we have always been battling the Nationalist Movements, but since the disappearance of one important member they have been particularly inactive. My intellegence sources have definatly not reported anything as of lately."
Although he was not particuarly happy with the news he was greeted with from his old friend, he was, still happy for the mostpart. He remembered that there was the occasional Nationalist supporter, but hardly anything to truly consider as a threat. Looking away from the screen for a moment, he noticed his secretary standing, waiting for his attention. Putting his friend on hold for just a second, he was informed about the crazed man, who had managed to appear on national television. This wasnt the greatest day, but he could be sure of one thing; the day would begin and end with him in power as President.
Television Studio Forty-Three
Anatoba City, Austar Union
Specially trained in situations such as these, Peter has had to deal with crazed people quite often. Many wanted to broadcast their messages of insanity across the nation, and it was his job to prevent it. Crawling past all the bodies he crept forward as he watched the man shoot the camera. With that, he rose up behind him, obviously gone un-noticed and shocked him with the stun gun.
At this level, he would be paralyzed for at least an hour, and this would quite certainly be enough time to have him locked up in the back of a police car.

Breaking News
ANATOBA CITY, AUSTAR UNION,
Just a few minutes ago, police sources have reported that the entire membership of parliament has been officially assasinated, some one-hundred and sixty members being confirmed dead. So far, the President is rallying his closest friends in a secret location to decide what action to take, in the meantime troops have began to assemble through the streets of the towns and cities of this nation. However unlike the national troops we are so familiar with, they appear to be wearing some kind of other uniform.
In the main square of Anatoba City, our news correspondents have found a man known as Indigo Blue who has now officially taken command of this nation;
"Attention citizens of the Austar Union. The government of this day has been far too complacent when considering the issues of a foriegn nature. Under the system of democracy, this nation has faded into a state of inactivity to the point that we are no longer recognised as a respectable world power, but as a minor member of the international community. Therefore under this new regime, I pledge that as dictator of the new Austar Union, to make this nation the greatest it ever will..."
Proclaiming himself as the Fuhrer of the Austar Union, he has now officially renamed the nation to be known simply as "The Nationalist Republic of Austar Union". Indigo is best known for his heavily right-wing views with a nationalist twist. In effect, he can be better related to those considered Nazi's; although he hardly can be related to such attrocities. President Gr..."
And the screen cut out. Obviously, some major changes were already being taken, one of them being a completely new regime. As the new leader of the Austar Union, Indigo Blue was most certainly one to be rekoned.

To Indigo Blue, Fuhrer of Austar Union,
While I realise that Archbishop Tay has already spoken with you, I also wish to offer my congratulations at your rise to power over the weak democratic government that previously ruled. I look forward to your future as a nation under a greater form of rule under God, and I hope that you and the Archbishop come to satisfactory agreements.
The Lord Secretary has also asked me to inform you that the Holy Christian Empire of Isam formally recognises the new government of the Nationalist Repubblica of Austar Union, and invites you to visit at a time convenient to you.

Joseph Caotin,
