In a few days the first Imperial Exposition will take place in Akaton. It will take the form of a series of military parades and technological demonstrations, culminating in a large party. Diplomats, scientists, nation leaders, assassins, etc. are welcome (well, the assassins might not be welcome, but they tend to show up anyway).

If you want to send someone, just post here or telegram me. I'll post more details about the exposition in anyone is interested.

OOC: Some additional information such as what manner of nation you are, time period, location etc would be helpful.

Akaton is a combination of future and fantasy tech. For instance a person walking down the street is just as likely to see an elf, as they are to see a grav ship. However, I believe that different tech levels can coexist in the same thread, so even if you are of a different tech level, feel free to send someone.

The nation itself is an extreme example of industrial development gone wrong. Almost 75% of the land is an uninhabitable cement wasteland with underground factories pouring black smoke into the sky. The people of Akaton live in four massive cities, each containing over a hundred million citizens. The Exposition will be held in Archenhiem, the second largest city and home to the Imperial Sky Navy command base. Like most of Akaton, the buildings in Archenhiem tend to be of a gothic style, with lots of ornate towers and arches.

OOC Rules for RP:

First, in Akaton, there are no laws against carrying concealed (or not concealed) weapons. However, please be reasonable in what weaponry a character is packing. It would seem strange to have a diplomat with a huge machinegun at a social event.

Second (this should be obvious), no killing without permission!!! If you want to kill a character, please ask via telegram or by posting in the OOC thread (here).

Third, once I start the IC thread, please keep all OOC comments in this thread. Really ruins the flow of an RP to have OOC posts interrupting it.

Finally, respect RP etiquette. Don't randomly declare war, claim to have a million bodyguards, etc. This also ruins the flow of the RP. In general, if it makes sense you should be okay.

Your offer sounds fair enough. Major Kkhaash will attend in the company of Ambassador Sessra and their guard.

Anyway, expect...someone....to show up.......prolly someone who had something to do with the Akatani demons and such......

Yes Weyr, these will be demonstrations of Akatani technology. There will be quite a few technologies available for inspection and purchase, such as etheric viewers, railguns, and nano-lattice construction devices (there will be more than just these three once I think of more technologies). Also, a new flagship for the Imperial Sky Fleet will be launched. Lastly, contracts will be offered for the reconstruction of Akaton's capital, devastated during a recent demonic invasion.

Anyone who wishes to demonstrate their own technologies is more than welcome to do so.

If this happens after Samhain, Aiwyn and Draconis would also be Emperor and Empress of Mists. With the creation of the new title, Aiwyn would want to give the old High Queenship to Agwene, to hold the Resurgent Dream as a vassal of Aiwyn and Draconis, the way her mother did with Shieldcrest and her brother. Only if it's ok with Draconis though.

Well, I'm sure Draconis would approve of that idea. This gives a good reason to be having an Imperial Exposition; to celebrate the coronation of Aiwyn and Draconis as the Emperor and Empress of Mists.

And now for something completely different. For those sending someone, it would be helpful if you would post some info about them (pictures, biographies, or anything else we should know about them).

This thread isn't dead! I just got a bit distracted. Here I have for you my next character description. This character hasn't found much of a place in any RP recently, so he's available to be killed. He's extremely evil (ordering torture/execution, drinking the blood of humans, etc.), so he's bound to have attracted the attention of a vampire hunter or assassin of some sort.

His unique (and true) profession does not allow him to take the life-extending drugs available in Wazzu for fear of detection, but being in good shape and living on the edge has kept him lucid. His mind is as sharp as a tack, and he can still make his body do things it no longer cares for.

Notes: A talented actress and social manipulator nearly straight out of training (about 4 years of field experiance, and 7 years of training), Jenna is Mile's student. Despite her inginuity, she still can't manage to overcome her mentor's experiance...but that doesn't stop her from trying. Miles takes it good naturedly, and uses Jenna's enthusiasm as a teaching tool.


Overal Notes: Miles and Jenna are a fairly typical "feeler" team that Wazzu sends all over the world. They aren't really spies, usually, nor anything more exotic...usually...just watchers. You might think of them as extremely an talented actor/actress pair in secret government employ. That doesn't stop them from holding "real" jobs.
