Kasandral thought a moment, then replied.
"Fool. I come because through Tak'a Tamen I can achieve glory and power beyond anything I have ever imagined. I must only aid him, and a place as one of the most feared people of the universe will be mine!"
Kasandral narrowed her eyes as she spoke, lapsing discreetly into Force sight. She tried to discern whether his aura was bright or dark, and therefore whether he himself was aligned with the light side or dark side.

...Sarinoth roared and spewed a large amount of flame at his foe in reply to the previous fireball.

Sarinoth's fireball caught Onaga completely off guard and it struck him on his shoulder. Onaga roarded with pain and his eyes seemed to glow a fierce red as his horns crackled with electricity.

Onaga: "A solid hit like that would have defeated me in the past Sarinoth, but not this time!"

The power building above his head exploded, unleashing a large bolt of lightening straight toward Sarinoth...

Kasandral narrowed her eyes as she spoke, lapsing discreetly into Force sight. She tried to discern whether his aura was bright or dark, and therefore whether he himself was aligned with the light side or dark side.

Justin smirked. He had lost count the number of times he had heard similar phrases in the past. He sensed Kasandral's force sight and opened himself up to her. He let her see his bright aura along with images of peace and tranquility. Kasandral saw places and people from centuries in the past right up until Daniel's victory against Tak'a-Tamen:

...If it were any normal Jedi, Tak'a-Tamen would have reacted instantly. But noble blood mixed with the power of an ancient Sage was too much even for the evil Warlord Tak'a-Tamen. Daniel's power struck home and Tak'a-Tamen reeled back, letting out a bloodcurdling scream!!!

Everywhere, the ground started shaking and the clouds above started to swirl. Thunder roared overhead as natural lightening flashed across the sky. Tak'a-Tamen fell to his knees, his arms stretched out wide as suddenly a bright flash emmitted from his body as large numbers of ghostly shapes flew out. Many had faces, all of which were in pain and then twisted with anger as the massless forms charged towards the fallen warlord.

Justin looked on as he realised what was happening,

Justin: "EVERYONE... GET DOWN!!!!!!!!!!"

The clouds overhead converged above Tak'a-Tamen and a cyclonic force started to build up. The angry forms followed the spin of the building twister as they circled Tak'a-Tamen, their speed becoming faster and faster. A dust cloud formed and the wind howled loudly. Suddenly, lightening struck in the centre of the twister as it converged over Tak'a-Tamen. His screams were drowned out by the noise as the particulate matter was pulled up with it...

Justin looked on. He hoped his presence in Kasandral's mind would help to convince her of his honourable intentions as well as the images she had just witnessed.

Justin: "You are a skeptic Kasandral. I like that. But skeptisism or not, you won't get off this planet alive without my help... and Daniel's"

Glancing around slightly, making sure the Order follower was not within earshot, Kasandral lowered her voice to a whisper.
"You do not know my true reason for being here? I come to save Daniel, not him me. This is the only way. I must gain Tak'a Tamen's trust, and then kill him. It is that simple. I apologize for not revealing my true intentions earlier. I thought that perhaps Tak'a Tamen had bent you to his will. And I apologize for the intrusion just a moment ago. I had to see if you were what you claimed."

Justin: "I know. It would have been foolish of you to simply accept my word alone. But I do sense your desire to find out the killer of your teacher. You were told by an Order follower that Tak'a-Tamen knows who it is." He follows Kasandral's example and lowers his voice, "There are two other people who know the killer as well as Tak'a-Tamen; the killer himself, and me."

The lightning connected, and Sarinoth roared in pain as electricity coursed around and through him. He fell a couple hundred feet, temporarily paralyzed by the blast.

"Oh no!" I cried out.

To my relief, the golden King recovered in midair, shook his head, and collected power for an Ice Blast.

"Your words are true for me as well, Onaga!" Sarinoth growled. "Now freeze!"

An ice-blue beam of subzero energy lanced out from his mouth towards the evil dragon.

...And struck Onaga square in the chest. He reeled back as the ice power began to freeze every part of his body. Soon he was a mass of ice tumbling toward the ground... and toward Daniel. Onaga was visibly trying to break free but whatever his efforts, he wouldn't be able to move before he hit the ground...

"Truly, that is not my reason for coming. I am sorry, but you are mistaken."

Justin looked at her and could sense the truth in her statement.

Justin: "Very well. You will find out soon anyway."

He waved his hand as if to dismiss the subject before moving on,

Justin: "Your efforts are truly noble Kasandra. From the first time I saw you I knew you had a destiny. Believe it or not, but your life at the Jedi Academy has not been entirely wasted. Soon Daniel will come, but the planet's presence within the Dark Zone means that his powers will be all but drained. You yourself have been touched by the darkside, been influenced by evil so that will give you an edge." His face became that of a man bearing bad news, "However, your presence here will tempt you to the Darkside again and if that were to happen... ... let's just say the universe would become a most inhospitable living space."

There are times when I was glad to have the ability to teleport, and this was one of those times, for Onaga fell swiftly. Crack! Crack! I 'ported a hundred meters out of the way of the dragon and drew my lightsaber. The other young dragonriders around me drew vibroswords and blasters and the dragons prepared to fire fireballs, but no word was given to attack, not yet, for this one is still dangerous. The King descended, beginning to weave a spell of imprisonment for his eternal foe. He imprisoned him in the volcano once, he will do it again, but this time he will ensure that the binds are much stronger this time.

The freeze power quickly wore off and Onaga groaned with pain as he looked round. His eyes locked instantly onto Daniel and he grinned, his shiney, sharp teeth glared at the young prince as he brought his lightsabre up.

"What, I don't think so!" I definitely didn't want to let him get his claws on me, and dove out of the way of the talons, then readied to strike out with my lightsaber.

"Don't kill him!" Sarinoth roared from above, between words of enchantment. "It's a far worse punishment for dragons to simply be bound in magical chains and imprisoned than to suffer death!"

"Understood!" I yelled back, and brought my lightsaber up in a classic guard. This time, I will aim to wound and disable. I will have to trust in the Force, to let it guide my actions, as I stared bravely in the eyes of my much larger opponent. Kasandral nodded. "I realize and understand what you say is true. If I were to fall, it would mean perhaps years of war, if not immediate extinction of the Jedi. Still, I have but one goal. I must live long enough to weaken Tak'a Tamen, to make it possible for Daniel to defeat him. After that is acomplished, whether I live or die, fall or remain with the light, I will have fulfilled my purpose in life. I was born for this...I know it."

Onaga was suprised by this smaller creature's reaction to him. He was used to mortals running away in terror. Seldom was there ever an individual who stood up to him. He smiled, but it was only half-hearted. If this boy could stand up to him, perhaps he possessed something powerful?

Onaga: "You couldn't stop me boy. I am ONAGA!" Thunder echoed overhead, "I am the TRUE Dragon King and you will now submit or DIE!"

With that, he lashed out a jet of fire straight toward Daniel.

Kartion grinned as hyperspace pulled away around him, and Real-space took form. He'd had a busy few days, but he'd managed to get Dunag and To'ro to sign the Dark Force Accord.

Already, my plan has begun, soon, the Masaki's won't know what hit them...

As Kartion neared the Skyhook, he was hailed. A face came up on the Holo-projector: It was the Admiral.

[Ah, m'lord, you came at the exact right time. I'm glad to inform you that we have successfully duplicated the Liberator, and we are in the process of switching the two as we speak. As for Tal and Amarka, as you asked, we've sent some guards down to move them.

The guards' holsters have been sabotaged, so their keys and weapons will drop out unexpectedly. We've minimized security around the Dungeon and the Ring Transporter, as well as the corridors leading to the Liberator. Is there anything else you'd like to add?]

Kartion smiled.

"Just my congratulations Admiral. Are we ready to proceed?"

The hologram nodded.

[Yes sir, Project Dark Force has begun, I trust the negotiations went well sir?"

Kartion nodded.

"They have indeed. Alert the crew of my arrival, I'll be on the Bridge soon."

[Very good sir.]

Kartion watched the hologram fade, and maneuvered his ship toward the docking bays...

The doors of the Dungeon opened loudly. Five guards ran in, three with their Blasters out.

"Tal Ashen and General Amarka, we've been ordered to move you. Don't resist, we don't want to gun you down."

The two without their Blasters out ran toward Amarka and Tal. Both went behind them, and got out their handcuffs. Putting them on, the two were pushed toward the door. As the guards began to follow, unbeknown to them, the two unarmed guards' Blasters fell silently to the ground, along with a set of keys. As Tal and Amarka went out of sight behind the guards, the Leader snickered.

"Now we'll leave you two alone..."

The guards shut the doors of the Dungeon, cutting off all visible light, save for the keyhole, which sent a beam of light toward the keys and the Blasters...

I put out a hand, and the Force flowed around me to block the firey blast like a shield, and I 'pushed' the flames aside and grinned. "Nice to meet you, Onaga. Learn my name well, for I shall be the one to defeat you right here, right now. I am Jedi Knight Apprentice Daniel Alexander Masaki, son of the Emperor and Jedi Master Andrew Katsuhito Masaki, and I will never, ever bow before a false king! Sarinoth is the only true Dragon King, and you know it!"

My hands crackled with electrical energy, the specialty I have long chosen for myself. With a cocky grin and a shout of "HAH!", I sent a blast of lightning at Onaga, a blast strong enough to fry a tree in half, and the duel began in earnest. The other Dragonriders seem to be eating popcorn and enjoying the show.

Villa studied the fallen items lying in the dim light. He frantically reached for and grabbed them.

Villa: Look! They've dropped the dungeon keys and their blasters!"

Avon didn't appear entirely convinced as he watched Villa revel at the sight of the instruments of their freedom,

Avon: "Somehow I doubt they would have dropped them by accident."

Villa: "What do you mean, you don't think they're...?

Avon: "It seems unlikely, but it appears as if we are being presented with an oppertunity to escape."

Villa: "Well let's go then!"

Avon grabbed Villa's shoulder abruptly,

Avon: "Don't be stupid Villa. Do you really think these people want us to escape? I have a nasty feeling about this."

Villa: "Well, whilst you're having your nasty feeling, the Liberator is sitting up there waiting for us."

Avon snapped his fingers,

Avon: "The Liberator of course! Villa, give me the teleport Bracelett!"

Villa: "I don't have it. Tal took it."

Avon: "Well." His voice became disheartened, "I guess we'll have to escape the old fashioned way."

Villa: "What about Tal and Amarka?"

Avon: "What about them?"

Villa: "We can't just leave them here."

Avon: "That is exactly what we must do. Do you expect us to go after them, kill the guards and save them?"

Villa was silent as he could not think of a response,

Avon: "I didn't think so. Now come on!"

Avon manipulated the lock and the door opened. With their blasters in hand, Avon and Villa made their way out toward the landing bay...

"I've done it, Majesty! Do it, now!" I yelled, hopping back to avoid another blow as well as the magic.

With a powerful roar, Sarinoth completed the spell of binding. Magical chains bound Onaga's wings together and his legs were shackled as well. Another roar, and he began the spell of imprisonment, making it stronger and last longer than the last one. Now, Onaga is bound to the chains once more. Dragons flew swiftly by, and took the evil dragon by the chains, leading him to another volcano, where he was dropped ignominously. The King roared the final enchantment to enclose the volcano and force him into a slumber once more, and then it was done. Onaga was defeated.

As the Dragonrider kids cheered my victory, my father popped in. Seems he has been watching the battle from a ledge, ready to pop in if the going got tough. "You've grown strong, son. I'm proud of you."

I beamed. "Thanks Dad."

"Well, I think we'd better get some dinner, you must be hungry." Dad said.

"Yeah, I am. C'mon guys!" I yelled to my other friends. That night, we had a big barbeque of hadrosaur steak and other good foods. Tomorrow, we will make plans to figure out how to take on the Dark Lord Tak'a-Tamen himself. That is the final leg of my journey, which oddly enough will coincide with my 14th birthday soon enough. Hopefully, I could defeat him before the birthday sneaks up and hits me on the head. Now that would be a most worthy present for the day a boy in Coreworlds officially becomes a teenager.

"Mordan..." Kasandral repeated quietly, struggling to put a face to the name. "That sounds familiar...and yet I can not remember..."

Kasandral felt her mind fill with images. A montage of past instances involving the one called 'Mordan' flowed through her.

...Several minutes passed until the entrance doors opened and in walked a bearded human with a ferocious scar, followed by four heavily built Malistarens. (OOC: The three eyed guys)

Tak'a-Tamen observed closely. He didn't need the force to tell him that these dubious individuals drove fear into everyone, except him of course. With a deep, horsey voice, Mordan ordered his drinks. 'Ordered' could be considered an understatement as everyone well knew that Mordan would kill if he didn't get what he wanted. As the five of them grabbed their drinks, they made their way up to the gallery level. On any normal evening, they would spend the night bragging loudly over their conquests of the day. But this evening, Tak'a-Tamen was sitting in Mordan's seat.

Mordan: "What the... HEY YOU!"

Tak'a-Tamen didn't acknowledge Mordan, which made him even more annoyed as he marched up to his table.

Mordan: "You're in my seat punk!"

Tak'a-Tamen didn't move, but responded anyway,

Tak'a-Tamen: "Your name is not on this seat."

By this time, all eyes were turning as the inevitable confrontation grew,

Mordan walked around the table so he could meet Tak'a-Tamen's gaze,

Mordan: "Unless you want your arms pulled apart, you're gonna do exactly what I tell ya!"

The four Malistarens surrounded Tak'a-Tamen and cracked their knuckles. He could sense their confidence and also their scencerity at 'pulling his arms apart'.

Mordan: "Time's up punk. You had your chance!"

The four Malistarens took hold of Tak'a-Tamen, but were suddenly pushed back by an unseen force. Three of them hit the walls, but the fourth was pushed against the gallery railing and fell to the floor below, breaking his neck. As Tak'a-Tamen stood up, Mordan stood back produced a lightsabre and activated it.

Mordan: "Think you're smart tough guy?"

His confidence grew, as did the sumg grin accross his face.

Mordan: "Didn't expect me to have a lightsabre did you? Now you're gonna pay!"

Mordan lept forward, twirling his lightsabre in an almost impressive fasion, ready to strike at his opponant. But instead of hearing the pleasing sound of burning fleash and agony, his attack was deflected. He lost his footing and fell to the floor. Dazed, he looked up and saw that the stranger was holding a bigger lightsabre. The blood-red blade glowed menacingly as Tak'a-Tamen looked down at him.

Tak'a-Tamen: "You know not what you are dealing with.

He then directed his hand towards one of Mordan's henchmen, who was suddenly lifted above the ground. The Malistaren gasped for air as he felt as if his throat was being crushed. His legs were swinging in mid-air as Tak'a-Tamen directed him over the drop towards the ground floor. Tak'a-Tamen relaxed and his helpless victim plunged to his death. Mordan was writhing in fear as the powerful Sith lord approached him. He just knew he was going to be next. Just then, Tak'a-Tamen stopped,

Tak'a-Tamen: "You are familier."

He searched his memories and quickly remembered,

Tak'a-Tamen: "You took that lightsabre from a Jedi."

Mordan winced as he knew it was true, but didn't want to admit it in case his attacker killed him. But he was suprised by his reaction.

Tak'a-Tamen: "You are going to need it. My apprentice wants revenge and will kill you."

Not wasting any time, Mordan simply nodded his head, grabbed his lightsabre and ran out of the bar. His surviving heavies limped after him as a garrison of Remnant troops entered. Tak'a-Tamen looked down at them...

...It was raining in the small city on the planet Chai-Sasha and Avon made no attempt to shelter himself from it. He walked down the busy night streets, his footsteps spashing the water on the ground. Everywhere people were running between shelters, holding papers or cases above their heads in a vain effort to keep dry. Avon rounded a corner, which was where he was suddenly grabbed by a large burly figure. Avon felt himself being pulled into a dark allyway and pressed against the wet wall. He could feel his assailant's warm breath on his face,

Avon: "Simply asking for my wallet would be far more subtle and far less likely to draw attention."

His voice was not that of a man who feared for his life, but that of someone who had witnessed so many dark horrors that nothing could phase him. A familliar voice came from the shadows and Avon squinted his eyes to try to see who it was. He recognised him as soon as he walked into the light,

Avon: "Mordan."

Mordan: "I'm glad you remembered Avon. It's a pity you haven't remembered our little agreement."

Avon: "I seldom rush a job which involves kidnapping and extortion."

Mordan: "Oh yeah? Well my client is getting impatient and wants results soon."

Avon: "If your client wants the job done quickly, she can do it herself. If she wants it done properly she'll wait like everyone else does."

Mordan sniggered halfheartedly. He was smoking a thin cigar and had dropped it to the wet ground as he moved closer,

Mordan: "My client isn't just 'anybody else'. She has already given you a substantial pre-payment and he has yet to see any results. Now, I can't leave here until I hear you say that you have given the job your top priority. Otherwise my friend here will have to break your arm.

Avon smiled in the only way he knew how and that was only at his own superiority,

Avon: "That would prove impractical as not only would it be uncomfortable for me, but it would reduce my effectiveness thus leaving me unable to complete my task. I'm sure your client wouldn't look on you too kindly if she found out that you had hampered my effeciency."

Mordan: "Cute. Is that the best thing you can come up with?"

Avon's gaze never wandered from Mordan's eyes as he replied,

Avon: "How about a bullet in the back of your head?"

Mordan's smile disappeared when he felt the cold metal of a gun barrel against the back of his neck. He eyed his colleague who nodded and released Avon,

Mordan: "You're making a mistake Avon!"

Avon: "It wouldn't be the first," he straightened his jacket, "tell your client that I always deliver and that if he sends anymore amatures like you after me then the deal will be off."

Mordan felt the barrel press harder against him. He winced slightly at the discomfort and nodded. He turned to his colleague,

Mordan: "Let's go."

They walked off into the busy street, trying to shelter themselves from the rain. Avon watched them go...

The montage concluded with Mordan slaying Kasandral's tutor and then stealing his lightsabre.

Lying down on the cot, Kasandral soon fell into a dreamless sleep.

A council of war was called on Issus. Grandpa, Naruto, Rommel, Pellaeon arrived by ship. Of course, there's another surprise in store for me...

A black haired youth who's looking about 16 but really two years younger than old Tenchi (demon blood) walked into the Chambers of the War Council, flanked by a short guy with black hair pulled up in a flame shape and a redhead guy with long hair.

"Hmm. It's been a long time, Detective Urameshi." Grandpa smiled, as he saw them enter.

"Do my ears decieve me? THE Master Spirit Detective who fought alongside Old Tenchi a long time ago?" I asked, excited. I ran up to Yusuke, clearly in awe of the finger-gun toting demon investigator/exterminator. Hey, a thirteen year old boy always has someone great to look up to! "Please teach me that Rei Gun of yours!"

The older boy chuckled. "Later, kid. So you're the Masaki clan's latest rising star. I heard about your battle with the dark dragon Onaga. You're pretty good."

Haiku:
He praises me!
I have stars and tears in my eyes.
I bowed deeply.

"Arigato Gozaimasu, Sensei Rekai-Meitantei!"

Translation: "Thank you very much, GrandMaster Spirit Detective!"

The officially-governor-of-Issus-but-it-doesn't-really-need-one shook his head and laughed. "Don't mention it. Hey, I'm coming out of retirement today, Keiko's insisted. So there's another evil Sith guy running around again, eh?"

Heart beating at the prospect of fighting alongside the Master Detective, I nodded quickly and rambled on. "Yeah, his name is Tak'a-Tamen and I beat him once before but he came back to life and now he's meaner than ever." I took a deep breath.

Then I noticed his comrades. Kurama and Hiei, both powerful demons, one of the few who fight against their own kind to protect humans, Hiei reluctantly. Kurama is actually a fox demon, but he took human form to keep from dying of fatal wounds. His specialty is plant manipulation, and his Rose Whip is super-sharp. Hiei is a fire demon, as fast as a Jedi Master with his enhanced katana and agility, and has many powerful fire skills.

"Hi!" I beamed at them. "I know you guys! Kurama and Hiei!"

"Pleased to meet you too, young Daniel." Kurama smiled warmly.

"Hn." Hiei said in way of greeting.

"Well, looks like you're back." Naruto walked up and grinned. "Looks like Masaki, Uzumaki and Urameshi becomes a team once more."

"Really? Wow. Just like the stories..." I shone like a beacon, then calmed down.

"This meeting of the War Council now comes to order..." My presiding dad announced, and we sat down around a table to debate the next course of action.

Gurshix, always one for a grand entry, was late. He walked calmly through the corridors, flanked by Vice Admiral Ren Perkins. Finally, he came to the doors of the chamber in which the meeting was taking place. Throwing the doors wide, he strode in, chin up.

"I appologize for my delay. Matters of much importance forced me to stay aboard the Keel an hour after I meant to leave. Allow me to introduce ourselves. I am Admiral Jonathan Gurshix, leader of the Xerephen Pride, and officer in command of the Bloody Keel, and this is Vice Admiral Ren Perkins, my dear friend and officer in charge of the recently refitted Sprite." The two bowed. "Now then...go ahead and continue where you were, Master Masaki. We will try not to make to much commotion as we go to our seats."

With a wink, Gurshix and Perkins took their seats.

"Thank you. Now, as I was saying, we have a great challenge before us." Andrew said to us all. "Tak'a-Tamen is somewhere in this galaxy, and we have to find and defeat him. I plan thus. Naruto, Yusuke, Daniel. Your teams are to form a core group of what I would like to call the Golden Army." He smiled. "You will lead the attack on the planet where we find him."

"Dragonriders, ninjas, Jedi, spirit detectives. I believe that all four groups with varying powers should be able to bolster their each other's powers and combine their attacks to destroy the Dark Lord once and for all." Andrew said. "The thing would be to find Tak'a-Tamen in the first place. Anyone have any ideas?"

A young naive padawan raised his hand. He was clearly eager to show off his interlect and initiative in the presence of the masters:

"Much to learn you still have, young one." My grandfather said amusedly, making a good impression of Yoda. "Our homeworlds are not safe from attack, as he has so clearly demonstrated when he kidnapped the Masaki Twins. While we are already searching for him, it's more likely that he's biding his time to forge plans to defeat us, so we cannot spread out the fleet so much, despite it being a good idea."

I nodded. Deploying more ships to find the Dark Lord would be nice, but we're more concerned with what the Justice has done to one of our planets, so we keep the fleet relatively close to our main planets.

I answered that one. "Well, he's a troublesome Dark Lord. It's likely that Dad and Grandpa would deal with him as I and my team go after Tak'a. But we never know what he'll do next, so we have to keep on our guard concerning him."

Gurshix spoke up. "Brute force is likely the best strategy at our disposal. We outnumber Tak'a Tamen greatly. We need to rush him, and soon. He musn't even catch a hint of the coming attack."

Perkins nodded. "I agree. Also, I ask that the members of this council keep in mind that we still do not know the where-abouts of Kasandral. She may have joined the dark lords by now. We all know that they would accept her. She would be a powerful ally to them."

Perkins had not yet been informed of Kasandral's mission. He knew only that she had gone missing. Gurshix suppressed a laugh.

"You underestimate her, Jonathan. She is a threat, I assure you. And yet you snicker. Are you so confident that we will win?"

"No, Ren...not at all. Only a foolish man would be confident this early in the game. Fear not, Ren. I have a feeling Kasandral will handle herself. She will not get caught up with the dark lords..."
------Meanwhile....------
Kasandral woke up slowly. First order of business...food. Then, I've got to earn Tak'a Tamen's trust...how would a dark jedi do such a thing? Hmm...they wouldn't. They are not to trust anyone. Kasandral smiled. The Order man he has following me. I must show Tak'a Tamen my power, and my impatience with meddling.

Standing, Kasandral unclipped Zerghiel and her old saber. After making minor adjustments, she fastened them to her belt again. Cloaking herself in the Force, she stepped outside. Almost instantly, her Force sight focused on the Order follower. Smirking, Kasandral crept within five feet of him before uncloaking.

"You are a fool. Know before you die that you have made a mistake, one that might cost your master dearly. I hold no patience for idiots like you. Farewell, fool. May your body rot on this Force-forsaken planet."

With that, Kasandral drew and ignited her sabers, leaping at the man. She held Zerghiel, in her right hand, extended forward in a lunge, even as she brought her old saber sweeping up from the left. Zerghiel flared an angry purple as it neared the Order follower. Out of the cracks in Zerghiel came an inpenetrable darkness, in which normal sight would be useless. Avon and Villa had been slinking around for ages trying to dodge the guards and get to the landing bay. Seldom had Avon ever shown his emotions fully, and the frustration of so many guards blocking the landing bay was almost overwhelming. They continued down a dark corridor until Villa stumbled. He caught himself on a door, which opened to reveal a spacious room with a bright light and a control panel in the middle. Villa beckoned Avon quietly and they both entered the room.

The Spartan nature of their surroundings did nothing to give the pair any feeling of hope.

Villa: "Well this is nice."

His tone was dry but Avon ignored it. His curiosity got the better of him and he began to examine the control panel. The configuration was complex but the logic of the layout appeared pretty simple to him. He looked up toward the light then back at the control panel again,

Avon: "Villa stand in the light."

Villa: "Why me?"

Avon looked at him with his no-nonsense look and Villa obediently stood in the light.

Villa: "What are you doing Avon?"

Avon: "I think this is some kind of teleportation device."

Villa: "What? You can't be sure about that!"

Avon: "I will in a moment."

And he pressed a button. Immediately a column of rings dropped down over Villa and he became immobile. Panic swelled in his eyes as the light got brighter and his atoms instantly dematerialised and shot upward along with the rings.

Villa opened his eyes again and focused on something that looked very familiar. The visual point of Zen glowed intensely at him as he began to realise he was on the flight deck of the Liberator. Villa instinctively moved toward Zen as he looked around in disbelief. Just then, the same sound of the Ring Transporter filled the room and Avon materialised before him.

Villa: "How could you be so sure that was a teleporter?"

Avon: "I wasn't sure. That's why I sent you through first."

Villa: "Thanks a lot."

Avon didn't waste any time. He walked over to Zen as he brushed himself off,

Avon: "Zen initiate full engine start-up and re-engage priority command sequence."

Zen: "Confirmed."

The Liberator's engines glowed intensely and the ship came to life. The surrounding docking scaffold shook violently as the ship started to break free of the fragile structure.

Avon: "Activate the Force Wall and bring the main weapons online."

Zen: "Force Wall activated. Weapon system has suffered a temporary malfunction. Auto-repair systems are amending."

Avon: "Then I guess we'll have to do this the old fashioned way."

He climbed into the helm position and began to manipulate the controls.

Villa: "Avon, we'll never get away without weapons!"

Avon: "If we're lucky we won't need any. Take the navigator position and prepare to plot us an escape course!" Avon pushed the controls forward.

The Liberator accelerated forward, ripping some of the drydock off with it. The ship began to move faster just as three Order ships flew out from behind Klatooine. The Liberator veered away toward deep space,

Avon: "Villa!"

Villa: "I've plotted a course but they've messed up the navi-computer."

Avon: "That'll have to do now PUNCH IT!"

Villa punched the control. The Liberator shot off into deep space at lightspeed leaving the Order ships, Klatooine, General Amarka and Commander Tal behind...

Everyone's eyes turned to look at the one and only person in this great
hall who can defeat the Dark Lord. The one who must go down and
face Tak'a-Tamen.

Me.

Something tells me that Luke Skywalker was this position once a long
time ago, and I couldn't help but wonder if his spirit was here now,
encouraging me. A whisper of wind seemed to carry the great Master's words
to my ears: It is your destiny, as it was mine to face Vader. The
Force be with you, alway.

I nodded. He was right, whether or not he really was here for a moment.
I, Daniel Alexander Masaki, also has a great destiny to carry out. One
that would have only two paths to go, just as the Battle of Endor
carried only two paths in the Force: The path to the Light and continued
existence for the galaxy, or the path to the Dark Side and death. The
Galaxy, and indeed the universe, is counting on one young boy, a mere
apprentice Knight to make the right choice, to choose the right path, and to
end the scourge of the Dark Lord forever.

I stepped forth, to the center of the council of war. I then
imparted the words that would change everything. My first true order, in
fact. "There is no more time to waste, then. Let's go."

----

After a short stint in training with Yusuke's Reigun (yay!), we began to board the Sovereign II. The coordinates to the Dark Zone was punched in, and as soon as the newly formed Golden Army (core group: me (w Ryujin), Yusuke, Naruto. Primary group: Sasuke, Sakura, The Dragonriders, Hiei, Kurama. Secondary group: my father the Emperor and his top commanders, my grandfather, the Jedi Knights and Shinobi) boarded the ship and the Sovereign Battlefleet of more than fifty ships soon headed into hyperspace. The Final Battle looms.

Tak'a-Tamen was silent. He was sillouetted against the roaring glow of the volcanic lava. He had been revelling in the power of the Dark Zone for quite some time now. The Order follower stood there and was just about to repeat his statement when Tak'a-Tamen opened his eyes. The follower stepped backward with terror as the Warlord's eyes glowed intensly red. They shouted death from every conceivable angle and they locked onto the humbled Order follower.

Tak'a-Tamen: "I know." His voice was more deeper, more booming than ever before. It was as if a giant was bellowing down from the heavens above, "I know everything now. Daniel Masaki will come to face me alone. He will suffer and die here by my hand. His feeble skills are no match for the power of the Dark Side!"

His grin was dripping with sneer and evil as the Order follower dared to speak again,

Order Follower: "What of the approaching enemy fleet mightly Warlord?"

Tak'a-Tamen: "Send our ships." his voice dropped to a sinister growl, "Wipe them out. All of them!"

As we entered the Dark Zone, I could feel a subtle reduction in my powers of the Force. Like as if the light has been dimmed by a fog, or even a storm. I asked Grandpa about it.

"Hmm. It appears that the Dark Lord is clouding our senses, like Palpatine of old." Grandpa answered. "You'll have to rely on your wit this time."

"And ninjutsu, I guess." I checked by casting Bunshin, and nodded as an insubstantial clone appeared. "It'll have to do against the Dark Lord."

"You'll find it in yourself the power to overcome him." Grandpa smiled. "It's been decided that we'll head down and hold off the Order's army while you sneak in. Now I know the good General said that you'll have to go alone, but we're not about to do that, especially if Tak'a decides to try and wear you down with enemy troops."

"Thanks, Grandpa." I smiled, then an alarm rang out. "Looks like we're to battlestations."

"Go, and may the Force be with you, my boy." Grandpa said.

"And you, Grandfather." I bowed, and headed to the hangar bay.

The Liberator cruised at high speed across the infinite void of space. One of the most powerful yet mysterious ships in the galaxy was finally free from the clutches of Kartion's forces.

On board, a cleanly shaven and refreshed Avon and Villa were sitting at their stations on the flight deck. Villa was feeling slightly better now that he was finally out of those rags he had been wearing for the past several months and Avon didn't appear to be bothered either way.

Villa: "Ah, I had forgotten how good the food was on this ship."

Avon didn't look up,

Avon: "I don't recall you liking it before."

Villa: "Yeah well, a stint in a darkened dungeon with only you for company can change a man's appetite."

Avon: "And spending a minute in your company can make one loose their appetite."

Villa shrugged off the subject, realising he wasn't going to win the argument. A momentary silence passed before Zen spoke up,

Zen: "Main weaponry and defensive systems are now fully operational. Forward scanners are detecting the presence of a high energy absorption field approximately one-hundred and twenty thousand spacials ahead."

Villa: "What absorption field? Where are we going?"

Avon ignored Villa's question,

Avon: "Analysis."

Zen: "Forward scanners are unable to penetrate the field. However, according to present data the field has originated from a single planet."

Avon: "Which one?"

Zen: "The planet Tentenerikis V."

Villa's face dropped and even Avon gave away a hint of depression.

Villa: "Avon. Why are we heading for Tentenerikis V?"

Avon stood as though he were in a trance. Villa had come to realise that this meant he was in deep thought. This also meant that this wasn’t a good sign.

Villa: “Avon! Why are we heading for Tentenerikis V?” Villa’s voice was a lot more serious and stern. This surprising behaviour broke Avon’s train of thought,

Avon: “Because that’s where the Justice is.”

Villa: “You’re going after the Justice? Why?”

Avon: “Because in the wrong hands it will prove more troublesome than if it were in the right hands.” He gave a half smile, “Also, I like to have people owe me favours.”

Villa began to wish he was back in that cell…

The battle had begun…
"My lord, we have incoming!" Tactical reported to the Emperor.

"Fire at will! Ready the superlaser! How many are we talking?"

"Dozens, maybe hundreds, sir!"

"Shit. Launch the fighters and Wolfpacks." The Emperor got up from his command chair. "Admiral Rommel, you have the bridge."

"Aye, the Admiral has the bridge." The commander of the battlefleet replied. "You're heading out?"

"Yes, I am. Besides, the kid's waiting for me." The Emperor smiled wanly and teleported to the hangar bay.

I was already in my forest-green flight suit. Ryujin? He's going to go with the ground troops, as the youngest dragons haven't learned the Space Breathe and Space Flight spells yet.

"Ready, son?" Dad asked as he put on his flight suit.

"Ready as ever." I grinned. We jumped into our X-wings and soon took off and joined the battle.

The Shinobi from the Hokage beside us have launched their own fighters -A-wings and Ninja-class stealth fighters- and Naruto's squadron teamed up with the Emperor's, and we began to chew up the enemy force. The King of Dragons with his Dragon Army also joined the space battle from the Drakengard, casting the aformentioned space spells on themselves and launching Plasma Fire attacks to flame the enemy ships. The natural backdrop of space became a blur as hundreds of smaller Order fighters swarmed toward the fleet. The larger capital ships bore down on the CoreWorld fleet and they all unleashed their folly of fire. Purple beam weapons slashed across the dark void in one direction and turbo laser bolts darted in the other. Both sides received direct and indirect hits as the exchange of fire grew more and more intense. Leading the Order fleet was the I.C.C. Justice. The powerful Turr'lla command cruiser released it's own arsenal toward the CoreWorld fleet. The railguns and missile turrets roared to life as the Partical Inverter powered up.

On board the Sovereign, Grand Admiral Rommel was directing the battle. Lieutenant Aclade approached him after spotting the Justice.

Aclade: "Admiral! The Justice is here! We won't survive a direct hit from the Partical Inverter!"

Kasandral drove her blade through the Order Follower's back. Letting him fall, she clipped her sabers to her belt and walked back to her camp.

Kasandral rounded the corner of her tent and suddenly Tak'a-Tamen was standing straight in her path. His menacingly glowing red eyes pierced right through to her soul. She could instantly tell that he had absorbed most if not all of the energy of the Dark Zone.

Tak'a-Tamen: "You handled that one very well Kasandral," he glanced toward the corpse of the Order follower she had just slain, "Now will be your ultimate test of not only your abilities, but your loyalty to me." He looked up toward the night sky as if he were addressing all of existence, “Today will decide the outcome of this war. As we speak, hundreds of ships are battling each other in the skies above us. Shortly, we will be joined by Daniel Masaki.”

He revelled at the thought for a moment before turning around to face Kasandral again,

Tak’a-Tamen: “When he comes, you will lure him here to me. He will not stand a chance on his own and will die by my hand.” He let that settle in for a moment before he continued, “When you do this and have proven yourself to me, I will grant you powers far greater than you could possibly imagine! Even the Jedi would never have conceived of the possibilities I would bestow upon you.”

"Right, target the Justice!" Admiral Rommel ordered the superlaser crew, even as the Particle Inverter destroyed the Katon in one shot.

"Target acquired!" Weapons reported.

"Fire!" Rommel roared.

Sprinkles of light appeared to be absorbed into the Superlaser before a great green beam of energy lanced out towards the Justice, intent on destroying it...

The great beam struck home and tore through the forward section. Explosions racked the impact point and debris spurted everywhere. The Justice seemed to flutter for a moment before regaining itself. The superlaser had barely stopped it. The Justice resumed its railgun fire toward the Sovereign as more and more Order ships engaged the rest of the fleet.

On the bridge of the Sovereign, Lieutenant Aclade’s jaw dropped at the minimal effectiveness of the superlaser and began to feel as though this was the last battle he was going to see. Suddenly the sensor officer shouted out,

Sensor Officer: “Admiral! I’m picking up a new reading. Something is coming out of hyperspace but its identity is unfamiliar to me.”

Everyone could see a flickering light grow brighter just behind the Justice. Suddenly the light burst and the Liberator plunged into view.

On board the Liberator, Avon was at the manual controls with Villa manning the weapon station.

Zen: “Target is acquired. Forward batteries are locked onto the Justice.”

Without a hint of emotion, Avon spoke,

Avon: “Fire.”

The Liberator unleashed it’s mighty arsenal. The beam weapons pierced the hull of the Justice causing the ship to rock off course. The Justice returned fire with its rail guns and missiles.

Zen: “Battle computers detect incoming missiles. Evasive course is recommended.”

Avon pulled back sharply on the flight controls and the Liberator banked upward. Several missiles passed harmlessly underneath but a few struck near the engine sphere. The flight deck rocked and the lights flickered momentarily,

Avon: “Zen status!”

Zen: “Direct hit to propulsion system. Engine efficiency is reduced by 23%. Auto repair circuits are amending.”

By this time Villa’s panic cut in,

Villa: “Avon we can’t win this. What have we got to gain by continuing to fight?”

Avon: “At the very least, we will know if we can beat a Turr’lla command cruiser. That would be very useful in the future. Now keep firing.”

Villa: “What future? At this rate we’ll be pulverised if we stay here.”

Avon: “Then we’ll know we can’t beat it now KEEP FIRING!”

The Liberator turned steeply and fired again, striking the Justice amidships. By now, ten Order ships had descended upon the Sovereign and had opened fire near the hanger bay…

The Hokage took the opportunity to add it's Shuriken Cannon to the battle, locking on and firing a rather large asteroid (100m) at the Justice while the Sovereign charged up for another shot.

The Star Destroyers Chimaera and Megalodon were there to stop them, spearing them with turbolasers and ion cannons.

"Master...understood." I checked the distance to the planet itself. It's a little far, but with the Obi-Wan Kenobi and his planetary assault fleet covering us...

"Dad! We need to get to the planet, now!" I yelled. "The Dark Lord is getting stronger! Vector the Master Kenobi and their assault fleet to cover us!"

"Right!" The Emperor ordered the aformentioned ships to start making their way towards the planet itself, as well as other assorted assault craft and troopships. The Golden Army is preparing for the final battle itself: on the ground!

The defending Star Destroyers quickly destroyed the attacking Order ships. The Liberator had taken several hits and was visibly damaged as was the Justice.

The Liberator's flight deck was filled with smoke and fallen debris as sparks popped randomly. Villa had an infinite number of urges to run and hid on the depths of the ship but had remarkably found the strength to remain at his post. Avon had a cut on his head where a control panel had overloaded.

Avon: "Zen what is the condition of the Justice?"

Zen: "The Justice has sustained moderate damage to approximately 68% of its systems. Its main armament remains fully functional."

Avon: "We've got to disable that Particle Inverter."

Villa: "With what?" he coughed, "Our main batteries are barely working now."

Avon pondered for a split second then bolted toward the science station,

Avon: "The Turr'lla were successful in creating a Tri-Lithe power source a few years back. If I'm right, the Justice uses that power source."

Villa: "What good is that?" he coughed again, "The rest of the fleet are too busy being attacked by the Order of the Universe and we're in no shape to save the universe."

Avon: "And neither is the Justice." He went back to his helm station and began computing his calculations, "Zen, send a message to the lead CoreWorld ship. Tell them to prepare a boarding party to take the Justice."

Zen: "Confirmed."

Villa: "What are you doing Avon?"

Avon: "If we knock out the Tri-Lithe on the Justice it will not only disable the Particle Inverter but the defensive systems as well."

Villa: "We can't do that!"

Avon: "Well we're the only ship here that can now power up the main batteries again."

Villa: "It'll drain life support. We'll choke to death!"

Avon: "And if we don't we will be atomised!"

Villa thought about which form of death he disliked the least and quickly diverted the necessary power.

Zen: "Forward batteries ready. Target acquired."

Avon: "We've only got one shot at this. FIRE!"

Villa fired.

The great weapons of the Liberator leapt forward and struck true. The aft section of the Justice was hammered and the ship began to drift, its power source disabled.

[Music Plays: Bombing Mission from Final Fantasy 7 (http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/FFVII_01-02b_Bombing_Mission.mid) ]

Grandfather Masaki lead the boarding party of Marines, Jedi, Shinobi and Dragons in the Jedi Striker, the gunship that caused the Order many a problem months earlier. He and several other assault craft flew to the stolen capital ship and began to cut through the hatches and other places of entry, forcibly entering and sending Fire-in-the-Hole grenades after. Soon, flashes of lightsaber and blaster/dragon fire would be seen inside the ship as the boarding party made it's way inside.

------

Meanwhile, the planetary assault fleet began to descend into the atmosphere and I tried to sense out the largest concentration of darkness, the place where Tak'a-Tamen is sure to be. That's where us younger kids would strike, as the older guys in the Marine Corps commanded by Commander McNeil and my father fight the hold-off action for the enemy minions of the Dark Lord.

Tanks and AT-ATs were unloaded by Assault Gunships and the larger Acclaimators and Victory Star Destroyers pounded the ground with precise turbolaser fire as we made our way towards the battleground near the Temple of Doom, my words.

The Temple was in the only tree-laden forest anywhere in the planet, quite a fitting place, as we'd get close enough for a gunship to land near there, and then go on foot, or in the trees for that matter. The speed of tree-jumping actually matches highway speeds of 100 km/hr or more at some points, usually due to chakra or Force powering the legs and arms. It does help to have fast reflexes to avoid the trees.

Kasandral nodded. "It will be a pleasure, Tak'a Tamen." She grinned. "May the fool die a slow death by your hand." Chuckling, Kasandral began hiking toward the general area where Daniel would likely land. She crouched against a boulder, waiting for his ship to appear.

Now comes the true test...now I prove myself, not to Tak'a Tamen, but to me. To Michael. To all the Jedi. I must not foul this up. I will lure him, and together, we will crush Tak'a Tamen...

As the main ground battle rages, a small gunship splits off from the main force, and flies low to the ground to the Forest of Death, the name we've taken to calling the forest surrounding the temple. We descended near a plain, and three youths piled out.

Me, Yusuke, and Naruto. I didn't trust things like prophecies as far as I can throw so I brought my most trusted friends to back me up. The gunship sped off back to the battle, leaving us alone to battle whatever enemies the Forest hides.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Sure." Yusuke cracked his knuckles.

"Yeah, ready." Naruto nodded.

"Let's go!" The three of us began running into the forest and launched ourselves into the trees with well-timed jumps, beginning our tree-hopping trip towards the Temple. I didn't notice a boulder nearby though...

This is it...am I ready? Bah...of course. If I wasn't, I'd be dead. Well, here it goes!

Jumping over the boulder and into Daniel's path, Kasandral ignited her sabers in mid-air. "Daniel Masaki! It has been a while, no? Tak'a Tamen obsesses over you, you know. Lucky for you, I do not serve him. I serve none! And, soon, all will be my servants...soon, true power will be granted!"

Kasandral smirked. "I see you have brought your friends....you truly believe they would help against Tak'a Tamen? They will die, but they will die watching you go to your end. Leave them. They do not deserve this. This is between you, and Tak'a Tamen. And if, somehow, I accidentally kill you?" Kasandral cackled, then imitated her explanation to Tak'a Tamen. "'A pity, Tak'a Tamen...he charged me...I had no chance to move my blade. Even after he lost his arm to that suicidal charge, I was forced to remove his legs, lest he run away. A pity, to be sure...'"

"Plus, she's obviously lying. Tak'a-Tamen's still around and in one piece." Yusuke pointed out.

"Probably." I nodded. "Want to take her, or should I?"

Naruto shrugged. "Sure, why not?" He made a hand-seal. "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"

Suddenly, there was not one orange-clad blond-haired youth, but twenty, each one wielding an orange lightsaber.

I smirked. "Each Shadow Clone is flesh-and-blood, my dear. Strength divided equally, so you're not fighting one person, you're fighting 20. Now I leave you two to dance while Yusuke and I take care of the big bastard."

Yusuke and I laughed as we hopped back into the trees.

The firefight on board the Justice had all but died down now. The boarding party had managed to get onto the bridge, but not before the Order crew smashed some of the equipment. The bridge was now a smouldering wreck with only a few consoles working but at least it was secure. And with the bridge secure, so was the rest of the ship.

Lieutenant Aclade was trying to gain access to the central computer as the repair team from the Imperial Captial Destroyer Argo attempted to jury-rig makeshift control consoles to bypass the damaged ones.

Aclade: "Interface. Access and confirm voice recognition authorisation; Lieutenant Aclade security clearence Black-Omega-12-Beta."

The screen fizzed wildly as the computer interface carried out its function. After a short while, a short text response appeared on the remote console;

NEGATIVE ACCESS!

Aclade thumped the console in frustration as his fifth attempt to gain control failed. Colonel Whitiker, a seasoned war veteran placed his hand on Aclade's shoulder.

Whitiker: "Still having problems Lieutenant?"

Mordan: "I do. This craft belongs to a very interesting individual."

Finally, Kasandral caught sight of the Outrider. She practically flew up the loading ramp, rushing to the cockpit. She quickly punched in the code to flash the signal. Hearing running steps clanking on the floor behind her, she turned, ignited her lightsabers, and braced herself to meet the coming charge. She dropped the first two simultaneously with practiced slices to the throat. Lightning coursed through several of them, but only one fell. The seventeen remaining Order followers drew their lightsabers and began running into the cockpit 3 at a time. Kasandral managed to drop two of these groups, with measured thrusts and slashes, but with each opponent her slices became more and more frantic. When the followers were down to ten, Kasandral could see she was beginning to tire. At seven, she was drenched in sweat, and couldn't see well, due to the sweat that had dripped into her eyes. She lacked the ability to concentrate enough to use force sight, so she flailed blindly. At six, Kasandral was desperate. She was covered in blood, both hers and her enemies'. Bodies were piled into the cockpit, making movement difficult. Sending the last bit of her endurance into one final burst of force power, Kasandral managed to push away the six Order followers. She noticed that two, who had been dropped by force pushes into a wall, were standing, bringing the total back to eight. Turning, Kasandral hit the transmit button again.
I have failed! All is lost....Daniel will fall, Michael will fall, I have fallen. Tak'a Tamen will rise, and we, the Jedi, are helpless to defend against it.
"We?" a voice echoed in her head. "You just referred to yourself as a Jedi!"
Yes...Zerghiel. We. Whatever my original intentions, I am a Jedi. Whatever my inclinations, I am a Jedi. I can not leave that standing. And this foolish business as a 'pirate' is just that...foolish. I am a Jedi, no more, no less. But I am a Jedi that has failed. The plan is lost. I will die before I can protect those I set out to protect. My perfect lie, my perfect strategy to defeat Tak'a Tamen...has failed. Because of a bunch of fledgling fanatics. Not because of Tak'a Tamen, not because of Kartion. A bunch of zealots, and I have fallen. They likely do not know my true mission, and they likely will never find out.
Kasandral beat on the transmit button several more times, praying that Mike would receive the signal.
"Do you wish my power transferred to you?"
No, Zerghiel. I fall here and now. There is no use prolonging it. Rest peacefully, Zerghiel, until you can go onto the belt of another. May you be as good a companion to them as you were to me. Thank you, Zerghiel.
Kasandral barely noticed the gloved fist hitting her face. Kasandral barely noticed as the fist struck three more times in rapid succession. Kasandral barely noticed as she fell to the floor, hitting it with a dull clunk. Kasandral barely noticed as she fell unconcious. Before her eyes closed and she fell unconcious, she said, slowly and quietly, so much so that not even the Order followers would likely hear:
"I...am...a...Jedi."
Her eyes closed and she knew no more.

The maidens gained a new-found respect for their leader, and they set out for Tentenerikis V.

"A fine ship this is." Alex mentioned on the bridge. "Shame it had to be ruined in the battle."

Aclade turned to see Alex surveying the remains of the bridge. He stood to attention and showed his respect by saluting before returning to his work,

Aclade: "It's not quite ruined yet Master Alex." The last half of his sentence was strained as he twisted some circuit panels that were just within his reach. The result was a more clear display on the remote console with the words "REMOTE ACCESS ENABLED!" boldly flashing on the screen. Aclade let out an enthusiastic 'WHOOP' before he proceeded with his command code.

After a short while, the central computer lit up along with some of the damaged consoles. The Justice was now under control."

The three of us -Naruto caught up- neared the temple itself as we hopped from tree to tree like oversized squirrels. However, Tak'a-Tamen wasn't the only foe we'd face near the temple...

"You sense it?" I asked the others as we could just see the top of the temple. "Someone's out there. More than one, in fact."

"Yeah, I sense it too." Yusuke replied. "Not a good feeling."

"Almost demonic too, Kyuubi said. But we'll face whatever we have to face to get you in the temple itself." Kyuubi's vessal Naruto said to me. "You have my word."

"Thanks." I smiled, and hopped from one large branch to another, and then...

Four Order followers clad in black ninja robes lept toward the trio each with their duel lightsabres drawn. The first two bounded after Yusuke and the others pounced on Naruto. Daniel turned to face them but was suddenly pulled away by an unseen force before a firey forcefield seperated him from the others. He was now at the steps of the ruined temple and he turned round to see the dark shape of the evil Warlord Tak'a-Tamen standing at the top. His black sillouette made his red eyes glow more fiercely,

Kasandral's unconscious body was placed inside the Outrider and the three remaining Order followers began to fire up the engines. The surviving followers remained behind to fight the CoreWorld ground forces.

Kasandral's ship was tricky to fly. She had obviously configured the craft to her own specifications and as such it had taken the followers time to override the main computer. As the Outrider began its ascent into space, one of the followers moved over to Kasandral.

Order #1: "Mr. Mordan wishes Kasandral to have a scar. I see no reason not to oblidge."

He pulled a ferocious looking dagger from his robe and eyed it impressively. It was a solid metal serrated blade about seven inches long with spikes on the hand guard. The light reflected blindingly off of the shiney surface as the follower held it on Kasandral's left-side temple. With a sadistic smile, the follower slowly brought the blade down her face toward her chin. Blood began to pour from the wound as the knife cut her flesh as easily as paper.

Order #2: "Let her bleed. It'll hurt more when she wakes up."

Like impertinent children, the group laughed at Kasandral's predicament as they left the atmosphere of Tentenerikis V...

Yusuke used his own high-trained speed to duck the blows and get in some good punches and kicks. Hand to hand against a guy with saber advantage wasn't one of Yusuke's brightest ideas, but he knows himself, he's fast enough to dodge his ally Hiei's sword slices which are almost as fast as this guy's attacks. However, he had to find an opening for a Reigun...and soon.

Naruto's foe was blocking wildly, trying to get a hit in where ever he could.
Unpredictability is most definitely in the ninjutsu creed, and it shows as Naruto pulled a Kawarmi no Jutsu, replacing himself with a log in an instant and then he used the distraction to try and hit him in the back with Rasengan, basically a raging storm in his hand. He rapidly formed a ball of chakra on his right hand while he used a clone to fight the ninja and then waited for the perfect opportunity to use it...

The bolt was Tak'a's biggest mistake so far as I reached out and grabbed it, my feet scraping the ground as the momentum pushed me back. Kasandral groaned, opening one of her eyes; the other was swolen shut. Seering pain was coming from her chin, and her tunic was soaked with her blood. Quickly, her hand went to her belt, to where her sabers should be, but they were not there. Likely, they were lost among the bodies, or cast out into space. Wiping the blood from her chin with her hand, Kasandral tried to sit up and look around, in an attempt to figure out where she was, how many gaurds, and where she was going.

It was at that point that the fire barrier disappeared and the warlord grew even stronger. His power and strength were now entirely focused on the young prince,

As she sat up, an Order follower walked up to her. He put his hand roughly on her swollen wound and the dried blood cracked a little.

Order #1: “We are arriving at our destination,” his voice was not that of a captor, but that of a man who knows what she wants, “There you will meet someone who knows about you.”

He got up and Kasandral could see through the window that they were landing on a jungle planet. The surrounding foliage parted as the Outrider descended to ground level. The ramp opened and the three Order followers made their way outside with two of them dragging Kasandral behind them.

As with any tropical environment, the heat and humidity were stifling. The deafening sounds of alien wildlife screeched at Kasandral as she examined her surroundings. They stopped a few metres from the Outrider and the three waited. After a while, the faint hum of an engine could be heard and Kasandral could make out an armed hover car approaching. It all became clear when she saw the dominant individual standing at on the back.

"Daniel! Don't ever give up!" Naruto shouted. "Remember your friends, your family, your people! Use their strength!"

[Music plays: Sasuke's Destiny from Naruto Soundtrack #2]

Naruto's words stirred something in me. I recalled faces, memories of my family and friends. I recalled walking the streets, talking with people, ordinary citizens about ordinary things. My father, my mother, my siblings, even Grandpa. Naruto, Yusuke, the Dragonriders and everyone else. They are all who I must protect against this evil man. Naruto was right. I will never give up...

I recalled my grandfather's words.

"Why did you come back, Grandpa?" I asked him one time. "You were an evil dude, liable to be put on trial or even to death for killing Grandfather Tenchi."

Grandpa had smiled then. "It was because of you. I realized during my duel against your father that there are far more important things than to gain power by any means necessary. Such as you and your brothers and sister. You are important to me, and nothing else matters. I would gladly suffer the dark side's fury if it meant that you would be safe, and never forget that my boy, never forget that."

"I won't...Grandpa."

Time slowed down immensely as I began to meditate. What was a mere second seemed an hour as I let the memories of everyone pass by me, letting the Force make me a conduit for the Light Side. When I came back to reality, I wasn't any different, except for a subtle change in my eyes, and my oh-so-annoying-to-evildoers-grin. I had only one word to say to the Dark Lord. "Checkmate."

"Hell yeah!" Naruto and Yusuke yelled.

Kasandral's eyes narrowed. "Mordan..." she muttered. She struggled slightly against the Order followers holding her, though to no avail. She had waited for this moment for a long time. She could almost visualize cutting out his heart, watching him die, just as he had done to her tutor.

Eyes narrowed, she waited for Mordan to arrive.

Mordan's hover car eased into a steady stop and he looked straight at Kasandral.

Mordan: "Well well well. The impertinent student is finally revealed."

He disembarked and Kasandral could see that he had on his belt her tutor's lightsabre. Mordan smiled sadistically at her recognition,

Mordan: "In interesting weapon the lightsabre." He unhooked and examined it. Its shiny surface glinted in the sunlight, "however its only as good as the person who uses it. And since I was able to kill your tutor with little effort he was obviously incompetent." He began to slowly circle Kasandral as he observed her reactions, "And if he taught you all he knew, then that makes you no better than him."

The Order followers held her even tighter as Mordan knelt down in front of her,

Mordan: "Y'know, after I began using this weapon, I started thinking about this whole 'force' business. And it occured to me that there is a place called, 'The Valley of the Jedi'. It was by no means an easy task to find it. It's location was known only to three people in the entire galaxy, but after a bit of soul searching I got there in the end."

Before now, Mordan had been speaking with a casual attitude. Now his eyes locked firmly onto Kasandral's,

Mordan: "I have seen things... learned things that your puny abilities would be unable to stand up to. That is why I am giving you this single chance to save yourself." He forcefully grabbed her chin, "Don't follow me. Give up your pathetic need for revenge. Otherwise I will have to kill you too."

He got up and the Order followers pushed her to the ground. Mordan signalled everyone to prepare to move out and the followers got into his hover car,

Mordan: "Go back to pretending to be a Jedi Kasandral." He entered the back of his car, "The weapons on your ship are disabled. I suggest to find a dockyard and get them fixed."

The hover car sped off leaving Kasandral alone next to the Outrider.

The Liberator was in orbit of the jungle planet and Avon had been observing the entire discourse. He watched Kasandral, wondering what she was going to do next,

Avon: "I think we have found someone useful."

"Tak'a-Tamen. Your powers are nothing before the Force itself." I said calmly, calling my lightsaber to my hand. "Your reign of terror ends today, and I am the instrument of justice necessary to carry out the sentence. I do this without vengeance, without hate, without fury, but only with pity and sadness for you could have served the galaxy with honor and integrity. But look at you now. Villa was sitting by the food comp looking very disinterested,

Villa: "Good, then we can get out of here and get on with doing our own thing."

Avon didn't answer as he continued to watch the Outrider follow Mordan's vehicle. The whole thing didn't feel right to him. It was almost as if Mordan wanted her to follow him, what with the posturing and the insults that practically screamed for a response. Suddenly it hit him and Avon headed straight for the teleporter pulling Villa with him,

Villa: "Hey I was eating that!"

Avon practically hurled Villa at the teleport controls as he retreived one of the weapons from the locker,

Villa: "Where do you think your going now Avon?!"

Avon: "Its a trap. I have to warn her!" He reached for a teleport bracelet and stood in the teleporter alcove,

Villa: "Why do you need to go down there, why can't you use the communiation like a normal person?"

Avon's impatience surfaced abruptly,

Avon: "Because then we'll be tracked now set me down in the Outrider. NOW!"

Villa jumped and then manipulated the teleport controls. Avon shimmered from existence, his atoms turned to energy and transmitted toward the Outrider where he materialsed behind Kasandral...

We both want the same thing and we both have individual talants to get it, but you must trust me when I say that you are walking into a trap! Mordan wants you to follow him!"

Ahead of the Outrider, Mordan's hover car began to move further away. A clearing could just be made out ahead and Mordan's vehicle corrected its course for it,

Avon: "Do you really think I would risk my life teleporting down here to warn you if I were working for Mordan? Besides you are the one holding the weapon. You need to make a choice Kasandral and you need to make it NOW!"

His eyes widened with a hint of desperation. He knew how close they were getting to the clearing. It was now or never...

Closing off his drain, Kartion did a mock salute.

"Goodbye, Tak'a Tamen..."

As Kartion could feel the Superlasers charge, he laughed sinisterly. As the Superlasers fired, Kartion went transparent, and he faded out of existence, laughing all the way...

Mike smiled as he felt the dark, enemy presence dissappear. Even all this far out, he could feel the immense battle. He ignited his lightsaber out of excitement, channeling his energy to the superlasers. He started to do the same with his spare to double the power, but his dad appeared in corpreal form instead.

"DAD...."

"I'm back!" David smiled as he said this, remembering an episode of Red vs Blue.

Thanks... I said. "Hey Dad, we can fire now!"

"Right. Admiral?"

"Understood. Fire at will!"

Energies built up in the bowels of the Sovereign and a great green beam of energy lanced out towards Tak'a-Tamen and impacted on the planet's surface...

Tak'a-Tamen: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

His screams were heard by no one as Kartion faded from existence. The planet was shaking, the temple ruins were disintergrating, the red sky of Tak'a-Tamen's spirit was disappearing like water escaping down a sink drain.

On board the I.C.C. Justice:

Everything seemed to move in slow motion as Lieutenant Aclade stared at the events unfolding before him. Everyone's attention was fixed on the dying storm on the planet. Then, Colonel Whitiker's calm and quiet voice spoke out as clear as though it were penetrating silence,

Whitiker: "Fire."

The particle inverter built up its destructive power ahead of the Justice. A growing sphere of energy gleamed as the weapon locked onto its target.

On the surface, Tak'a-Tamen sensed the growing danger above him as his broken spirit hovered above his equally broken body. His temple was gone, his power was fading, his life was facing extinction...

The great weapon shot its beam toward Tentenerikis V and impacted with the Sovereign's superlaser on Tak'a-Tamen's exact position...

He felt fire, he felt pain... he felt nothing...

The combined might of the two most powerful weapons penetrated the crust as molten cracks shot accross the surface like lightning. The Dark Zone was being sucked into the planet as it crumbled. The beams exploded from the other side of the planet as Tentenerikis V errupted in a ball of fire as the crust disintergrated all around. The dark zone continued to be drawn into the void that was occupied by the planet only microseconds before.

The mighty warships depleted their main energies as the destructive weapons shut down. The CoreWorld fleet moved into formation and shot into lightspeed as the Turr'lla forces escaped into the vortexies with their skip drives. As the last ship left, the built up energy of the dark zone exploded like an over-inflated balloon. The entire sector lit up with a bright light as the evil that resided within died.

The light faded.

The Dark Zone was gone.

Tentenerikis V was destroyed.

The evil Warlord Tak'a-Tamen... was dead.

Kartion smiled as he watched the Dark Zone collapse. In his hand, a ball floated about, dark, and crackling with energy.

The last of the Dark Zone...

Closing his hand, the ball absorbed itself into Kartion, and his aura got darker once more. He grinned.

Balance is finally achieved. The scale of Light and Dark is equal once more...

Deactivating the cloak on his fighter, he turned it around, and pushed the Hyperspace lever. The fighter started to rumble.

"Time to initiate Phase Two of Project Dark Force..."

Grinning, Kartion and his fighter shot into Hyperspace...

Victory. True victory over the forces of darkness. Nothing could ever be sweeter than that.

My father and I boarded the Sovereign before it jumped and we walked amid the crew standing at attention. It was for me to announce over the ship-coms the death of the Dark Lord as we launched ourselves into hyperspace. My dad took the intercom mic off a wall, and handed to me as he turned it on.

"Go ahead, kid." Dad smiled.

"Sure." I pushed the button, and spoke. "Crew of the Navy, allies of the Imperial Republic! It is my great pleasure to announce that the Dark Lord Tak'a-Tamen has been defeated!"

The crew began to cheer loudly, letting themselves a long moment of celebration over the dark lord. Now, it is time to let the galaxy know as soon as we return home. In the meantime, the 1st National Anthem has begun to play over the speakers:

[Flashback]

Kartion stood, arms folded, on the Bridge of the Skyhook, overlooking space. The scene is slightly...ghostly, due to the flashback quality. Alerted Crewmembers cried out as the Liberator shot out of the Skyhook, into the Bridge's view. Kartion grinned, and calmed the Crewmembers.

"Let it go."

The Crewmembers watched the Liberator as it jumped out of the Klatooine System. Kartion turned to Korus, his new 2nd in command, and breathed out.

"Are the trackers active inside Avon and Villa?" He asked. Korus nodded.

"Yes master. They ate the food plentifully. We expect the trackers to be active even when Project Dark Force goes live."

"Excellent! How goes the negotiations with the Hutts?"

Korus grinned, and his yellow eyes glowed.

"The Hutts have finally agreed to help us build the Dark Force Fleet. Nal Hutta, Nar Shaddaa and Da Soocha V are at our complete and utter will."

Kartion nodded.

"Excellent. When we've finished the Fleet, make sure to wipe out the Hutts. We can't have them nagging us for Credits and a share of the Fleet once it's done. We can't let anything get in our way."

Korus nodded. Kartion then looked out over Klatooine.

"Tell me, how did the duplication go?"

Korus looked out over Klatooine briefly.

"Perfectly. The ship has been completely duplicated, down to the ship's personality. We've just managed to take control of the Liberator, and now, we can get the schematics. Once we have those, we'll send some Knights to our Staff stationed at the respective shipyards in Hutt Space. We expect to have the Fleet ready in time for the 'Dark Times'."

Kartion nodded.

"Be sure to remind them that the Liberator fighters need to be as powerful as possible, and give all the classes of Liberators names, from the Fighters, to the Capital Ships."

Korus nodded.

"Yes Master."

Kartion smiled.

"When the time comes, be sure to find Avon and Villa. We'll need them again."

"Yes Master."

Kartion nodded.

"You may go my apprentice."

Korus bowed, before turning. As he reached the turbolift, he looked back at Kartion.

"Master, what shall we do with our prisoners?" He asked. Kartion laughed.

"Mind read them, put all the relevant Military information on disk, put the disk on my bed, and then drop them on Juria. On my bed, you'll find a note. Tie that to Amarka, and be sure to blindfold them."

Korus bowed, and then entered the lift. Kartion watched him go, and then stood at ease, overlooking Klatooine once again. He grinned.

Nothing can stop us now...Daniel knows nothing of my whereabouts, my Father is dead...it's all going as planned...

Kartion cackled and laughed as the Liberator II took flight. Inside, it held four Sith Knights, with only one objective in mind: Ensure Project Dark Force succeeds...at any cost.

The celebrations continued all through the night. Music, drink, food and dancing filled the streets of the cities on Chai-Sasha. Tak’a-Tamen was dead, the war was over and there was no fear of another return as Tentenerikis V was destroyed along with the Dark Zone. The street parties continued all through the night in the capital city of San’Quen. Every house had a barbecue still serving the great feast that fed every citizen. This was a time to rejoice!

The I.C.C. Justice had been towed to the dry-dock and all of the crew were celebrating on the surface. In the palace, Emperor Ymir was hosting the biggest banquet Aclade had ever seen. The lavishly decorated Great Hall had a giant table that looked like it was miles long. Not a single portion of its surface was left uncovered by massive plates of meat, vegetables, salads, cheeses and bottles. Everyone was getting into the sprit by letting his or her inhibitions rest for the night. Even the Emperor was smiling profusely.

Aclade was standing by the window in the palace. He was holding a goblet of wine which he had barely touched as he stared out across the streets. He had never seen such a sight before in his life! The night sky was filled with a plethora of coloured fireworks, the streets were alive with music and dancing. But all this time he was thinking about General Amarka, Captain Penda and Commander Tal. He couldn’t help but believe that they were all dead and celebrating victory certainly didn’t make him feel any better. A messenger who tapped him on the shoulder and handed over a small holo-projector diverted his attention. Aclade gratefully acknowledged the servant’s deed and studied the palm-sized device. It was a unique design, obviously not made in the 5th Empire. He found the activation switch and pressed it. A holographic image of a man who seemed familiar to Aclade hovered above the projector,

“You may or may not recognise me but that is irrelevant. I have news about two of your colleagues; General Amarka and Commander Tal.” Aclade’s eyes lit up, “Your superiors are alive and are being held prisoners. Don’t be surprised if I don’t tell you where they are, I am already risking a great deal by leaving you this message.” Just as Aclade was wondering why this person was leaving the message, he spoke again, “And if you are wondering why I’m leaving you this message, then I’ll tell you this; It is so you will owe me a favour in the future.”

With that, the message ended. Aclade was certain he recognised that face from somewhere and then it hit him,

Kasandral's eyes darted to the viewport for a moment, gauging the distance to the clearing. Frantically, she thought, looking from Avon to the viewport to Avon again.

"Fine! Cortana! Mark the location of that clearing, then head for the following coordinates." Kasandral rattled off a string of coordinates, which led to a small clearing several miles away. The Outrider veered for the clearing Kas had specified, as Cortana sent a coded message explaining the maneuver to Mike.

Avon quietly breathed a sigh of relief as Kasandral entered the course corrections. For a split second he was sure she was going to kill him, but then his congratulated himself for managing to keep a half-decent poker face during the exchange. And when the news came through about Tak'a-Tamen's defeat, his mind was suddenly filled with endless oppertunities. But for now, he had to deal with Kasandral,

Avon: "It would be a good idea if you reduced your engine output. You won't be easily detectable then."

He watched Mordan's hover car speed off as the Outrider changed its course. All he could think of was his revenge...

Kasandral shook her head. "Easier to simply mask the output with the Force. Faster, too. And don't think you've gotten off easy. We've got several hours of hiking ahead of us. I suggest you get ready." Turning quickly, Kasandral went to the cockpit, closing the door behind her. As she sat down in the pilot's chair, she sent tendrils of Force out to the systems of the ship, rendering it practically invisible to any electronic detection devices. Then, as she got it going so she wouldn't have to think about it, she sent another tendril up to Michael.

"Michael...first, congradulations on the victory. For you guys, your job is done. I, on the other hand, still have one more task to complete. I need you to do a few things for me. First, look up this guy 'Avon'. He just showed up a few minutes ago. Second, I need a diversion. I plan on heading to a secondary clearing, to avoid what Avon claims is an ambush. If possible, sending a small platoon of droids to the first clearing might be able to root out the enemy. Keep in mind, if you find Mordan, I want him alive. Any others I leave to you to do as you will. Avon and I will hike up to the first clearing in a few hours. If you get a lead on Mordan's whereabouts, get it to me immediately. Also, if you could have a supply drop sent to the secondary clearing, that would be appretiated. I need canteens of water, a few power packs for my blasters, grenades...the works. Also, silencing equipment for the weapons would be handy, if you've got it. This is to be kept quiet. The authorities here don't much like me. Thanks, Mike. I love you."

The message was communicated to Mike via the Force. Kasandral sat back in the chair, going over the thousands of ways in which she would make Mordan regret his actions.

As soon as Kasandral disappeared into her cockpit, Avon pressed his comm. bracelet,

Avon: "Liberator, Villa are you there?"

A moment of silence and then Villa responded,

Villa: "Where else would I be?"

Avon ignored the rhetorical question,

Avon: "This may take a little longer than I thought."

Villa: "I'm not surprised. You've disappeared from my sensors and Mordan is reaching a clearing where several heavy artillary seems to be wating."

Avon: "That sounds like the trap. We're heading away from that and it seems Kasandral has utilised some kind of cloaking device." He looked around to see if Kasandral was still behind the closed cockpit door, "Keep a teleport lock on me and send down another bracelet. We may need a 'lift' if we get into trouble."

Villa: "What do you mean, 'trouble'?"

Avon: "We're going for a little walk." And he shut off his communicator.

A moment later, a second teleport braclet materialised on a table and Avon retrieved it...

Amarka felt disorientated. He couldn't open his eyes, nor could he feel his legs. The overwhelming stench of the Klatooine dungeons was gone and a fresh breeze stroked his face. His hands were tied in front of him and he reached up and felt a blindfold accross his eyes. His vison was blurred after he removed it but he could make out another form in front of him. Tal.

Amarka: "Tal. Tal can you hear me?"

Tal stirred. He was in the same predicament with his legs bound and his eyes blindfolded.

Tal: "W... What's going on!?"

Amarka reached over and removed Tal's blindfold. Tal blinked several times to try and bring everything into focus.

Amarka: "I don't know commander. But it looks as though we are not on Klatooine anymore."

Tal looked around. The room they were stitting in was certainly more visually pleasing than the environment they were encarcerated. There was a fresh breeze and Tal couldn't resist but take a deep breath. Amarka looked down at his body and noticed that he was still wearing the same clothes he was captued in, albiet now dirty rags. Tal was still in the primitive drapings he came in with. Then Amarka noticed something on his foot.

Amarka: "I don't believe this."

Amarka: "It says, 'Sorry for the inconvenience. - Kartion'."

Thank you, Michael. Glad to hear about your father. Be sure to welcome him back for me. Kasandral stood as she felt the Outrider begin its descent to the second clearing. After securing her weapons, she opened the door.

"Ready? We're waiting for a shipment of HKs and supplies. The plan is to infiltrate and secure the area, and take Mordan. The HKs will provide a diversion at the first clearing. We get in, get out, nice and quiet." She paused. "He's mine, by the way. Mordan, I mean. Don't even think of stealing that kill."

The Outrider touched down as she spoke. Cortana immediately lowered the ramp. Outside, several boxes were lined up. Two HKs were visible standing gaurd by the crates. Another two stood on opposite sides of the boarding ramp, almost like an honor gaurd. Kasandral smirked. No doubt one of her techs had done that.

Stepping out onto the grass, the setting sun making her practically glow, Kasandral surveyed the area.

"HKs, report!" she ordered.

"Situation Report: HK Units--"

Kasandral interupted impatiently. "Cut the prefix phrases."

"Yes, Lady Xerephen."

"Thank you. Continue, please."

"Units 3, 4, 5, and 6 have established a perimeter. 7 and 8 are guarding the supplies. I am Unit 1. Unit two is opposite me."

"Very well." Kasandral turned to face 7 and 8. "7 and 8! I want the crates unpacked, ASAP. 1 and 2, give me cammo covering on the Outrider. 1, call in 3."

The two HKs gaurding the crates began unpacking, organizing the supplies. Unit 2 took the cammo covering, and began tossing it over the Outrider. Unit 1 remained silent for a moment, then helped Unit 2.

Out of the shadows of the jungle came Unit 3.

"Unit 3: Remain with Avon here. Watch him carefully. Do not speak unless to me. Understood?"

"Yes, Lady Xerephen."

The HK checked the power pack on its silenced blaster rifle before moving to stand near Avon.

The journey back to Turr'lla had been long and arduous. Amarka and Tal had been probed, scanned, prodded and observed since they turned up on the CoreWorld capital. Even at lightspeed, the transport seemed to take forever.

Since thier arrival back on Turr'lla, General Amarka and Commander Tal had been the centre of attention for most and the source of misguided suspicions for others. Lieutenant Aclade had resisted all the urges to give the pair a manly hug as he was most relieved to see them again. However the mood became sombre when they all realised that Captain Penda had never returned. Over the next few months, the I.C.C. Justice underwent a major refit and redesign. It was a miracle the ship was even salvagable after all the punishment it received at Tentenerikis V and the following conflicts. The Justice had proven its worth and after many internal enquiries and medical check-ups, General Amarka was issued with orders to once again take command of the 5th Empire's flagship. It still had some major upgrades that needed installing but Amarka decided that now was the time to remember the dead.

Everyone stood on the observation deck draped in their military dress uniforms. A small box with the flag of the 5th Empire covering it sat in the middle as General Amarka gave his eulogy for Captain Penda.

Amarka: "We are assembled here today, to pay final respects to our honoured dead. And yet it shoud be noted that in the midst of our sorrow, this death takes place in the shadow of a new life, the sunrise of a new world. A world our beloved comrade gave his life to protect and nourish. He did not feel this sacrifice a vain or empty one." There was a pause before he continued, "Of my friend I can only say this. Of all the souls I have encountered in my travels, his was the most... honourable."

An honour guard stepped in to remove the flag and the box slowly lowered beneath the floor as the Turr'lla funeral march played.

Amarka: "Honours. Hup!"

With that command everyone in the room turn-stepped to face the window in unison. Seconds later the box departed the Justice in the direction of the sun and everyone gave the 5th Empire salute.

Leaving Avon in the care of the HK, Kasandral moved to the crates. Picking up a silenced pistol, she quickly tossed it between her hands, testing its balance. Satisfied, she holstered the weapon on her hip, discarding her usual blaster pistols. She took a pair of vibrodaggers as well, putting one on her hip and the other in her boot. Finally, she took out of the bottom of a crate a dark bundle. Unrolling it, she took in a short breath. The black fabric was smooth, perfectly so. It was so light that she could barely tell if she was really touching it. A crimson colored black widow was stitched into it, with intricate designs radiating from it. Kasandral recognised it immediately as the insigna of her former tutor/foster parent's house. She was about to try it on when she noticed another design, within that of the black widow. Looking closely, she smiled. Stitched in dark purple within the design of the spider were two crossed vibroblades, with menacing eyes floating in between; the Xerephen house symbol. It was almost invisible among the other, more intricate designs. Kasandral smiled softly, reminding herself to find out who had done that and thank them. She wrapped the cloak around her, and pulled up the hood.

She glanced at her watch. Two hours until nightfall. Four until it would be dark enough to move out. Tapping her ear twice, she looked idly at the stars.

"Bloodmaiden Commander Jana, this is Lady Kasandral Xerephen. Do you read me?"

"I read you loud and clear, maam. Glad to hear your voice."

"Ditto. You all still in one piece?"

"Minor losses. They got Gerellia, and Quelna. Otherwise, we're all good."

"I need you to come to my coordinates. We've got one last thing to do before this is over. Bring Diana and Ophelia."

"Will do, maam. Mind if I ask the occasion?"

"Mordan. The man who killed my fencing tutor. Unfortunately, it's gonna be hard to get to him. I need you three to stay with the Outrider, and be prepared to move in as support."

"You always take all the fun. I'll help anyway, just this time." Jana laughed.

"Thanks, Jana."

"How 'bout you? You okay?

"More shaken than hurt. A bit pissed that I wasn't able to help Daniel. I guess it turned out okay in the end though."

"You need anything else, just say so maam."

"Will do. Kasandral out."

Avon: "Take this." He offered her what to Kasandral looked like a simple chrome coloured bracelet. There were few details except a coloured dot in the middle, "you may need it if we get into trouble."

Avon: "It's a communication bracelet. It is also a key part in the operation of my ship's teleporter."

Amarka: "What do you mean? 'essential'?"

The general was having a heated debate with one of the high ranking, imperial advisors over the commlink in his office. The orders he had received were certainly unfavourable to him,

Imperial Advisor: "It is exactly what it says General. Colonel Whitiker will remain onboard the Justice as Captain Penda's replacement."

Amarka: "With all due respect Advisor, I have many good officers here who have served with me and would be able to take over much more effectively."

Imperial Advisor: "That may well be General. But orders are orders. Colonel Whitiker commanded the Justice during the final engagements at Tentenerikis V and has rightly deserved the position."

Amarka: "I have no doubt he does Advisor. But I can think of far better..."

Imperial Advisor: "It's not up to you General. If you are unhappy with the arrangements then you can always step down. Otherwise accept the commission and make do. The discussion is closed, you have your orders."

With that, the screen blanked out. Amarka came close to thumping the desk but the chime at his door prevented him.

Amarka: "Come in!"

The doors parted to reveal Colonel Whitiker who then entered and placed a pad on Amarka's desk,

Whitiker: "Colonel Whitiker reporting for duty General."

His sarcastic emphasis on the word 'General' attracted Amarka's attention,

Amarka: "I see time has been good to you Whitiker."

Whitiker: "May I assume my duties General?"

Amarka got up and walked round his desk toward the colonel. The tension between them was almost electrifying,

Amarka: "I trust there will be no problems during your tour of duty Colonel?" he whispered. Whitiker was standing solidly at attention,

Whitiker: "None that I can foresee... Sir"

Amarka eyed the colonel. He could tell he was holding back his emotions, but he wasn't going to let that or anything else jolt him,

Amarka: "Then you may assume your dutes. I believe you know the routine?"

Whitiker: "Yes sir!" And he walked out.

Amarka watched him go. He had been hoping that he'd never have to see Whitiker again. He shuddered at the thought that he was 'replacing' Penda. Amarka shook his head, took the pad Whitiker had put down and proceeded to read it. It was a simple transfer of commission that needed the signature of the commanding officer. Amarka knew that once he signed it, Whitiker would then officially be the Justice's new captain. After a moment, Amarka pressed his thumb to the pad and threw it on his desk. There was no going back now...

"I'm not going to wear it. I'll put it on when absolutely necessary. I will not fail in this simply because some idiot on your ship presses the wrong button and teleports me. Mordan is here, and I intend to stay until I have struck the final blow."
-----
Outside, three TIE Interceptors touched down. The HKs, with the exception of the one gaurding Avon, immediately moved to investigate.
A woman, wearing a cloak bearing the Xerephen insigna, climbed out of the cockpit of the middle TIE, shaking her hair loose.
"HKs, stand down. I am Bloodmaiden Commander Jana Judelis." The HKs greeted her, before moving back to their previous tasks.

Out of the TIE on the right came a redheaded woman, with a single blond streak on the left side of her hair. She let her hair out of the tight bun it had been arranged in for the flight, then checked her weapons. She too wore the Xerephen insigna on her cloak.

The TIE on the left yielded a dark haired oriental woman. She stretched, then retrieved a box out of her TIE. She also wore a Xerephen cloak.

Together, with Jana in the middle, the three began walking toward the Outrider.

"This is Captain Mike Miles. I am a Jedi Knight tracking the whereabouts of a murderer named Mordan as you very well know. However, I wonder if you do know what we are capable of. In this very fleet, three small ships alone, wiped an entire nation out in a single salvo. The main ships, of which you only see ten, are called Super Star destroyers. Five SSDs can wipe out an entire continent in a single salvo and each ship can independantly destroy over a million square kilometers. The Flag ship is an Asguard mothership, and can filter out certain lifeforms and vaporize them on command as far deep as fifty kilometers underground. We have used these ships in many a war, and have emerged victorious through each one. I am just here to remind you that you have ten hours left until the deadline is met. I also want all ground-based defences to be powered down for fifty-eight hours, or until the Outrider returns. Failure to do so will result in destruction of your defences. All we want is Mordan, and we are willing to look past your aid to him if you cease aiding him immeadiately. Failure to follow these instructions can and will result in military actions. Who knows, if this mission turns out well, maybe my country will start trading with your people. Miles out."

David looked over at Mike, "That was VERY close to crossing the line to the Dark side. I urge you to stay away from that from now on."

"Yes sir. However, you sometimes have to step over the line in the sand to get the other side to back down. I feel I did nothing more than a tactician would do." Mike replied.

"That is what Revan did, and look how Malachor V turned out......" David replied with a grimace, having met people that were there when he died.

"We'll see." She answered.

"Maam?" Jana stood in the doorway, flanked by the other two.

"Ah, Jana. Glad you could make it."

"Me too, maam." She eyed Avon. "And who's this?"

"Avon. Appeared a while ago. Apparently, Mordan screwed with him too. Anyway, we have a few things to work on. Ophelia, I need the weapons brought back online. See what you can do."

The oriental woman nodded, taking her toolbox, and left the ship.

"Diana, you are in charge of keeping an eye out for enemies. Remember all that I tought you. See with the force...screw your eyes." The redhead nodded and went to the cockpit.

"Jana...you've got babysitting duty. Watch Avon. If he so much twitches, kill him."

Jana arched her eyebrows, then nodded, walking over to Avon. The HK holstered its blaster and left.

OOC: Sry for the half-assed RP...bell's about to ring.

No one was expecting anything. Kasandral's people were busy doing their thing as Avon stared intensely at Jana. She didn't even flinch as she guarded Avon with unwavering concentration. Suddenly, a huge explosion racked the area and shortly afterward, a large group of Mordan's men emerged into the clearing, blasters setting light to anythign that burned. Jana's attention immediately went to defending herself and Avon instantly reached for his weapon. He knelt down beside Jana and added to her firepower.

Avon: "I hope you don't take this personally," he said with a dry wit, "but I believe I could have killed you had you blinked." He smiled as he continued to fire.

One of his shots struck home and the impact point on Avon's target instantly burned and he fell to the ground. Unfortunately this didn't halt the advance of Mordan's men...

Cortana reacted with the speed only a machine could. She immediately opened fire with the miniature turbolasers set up every five fet on the Outrider. The HK bots also opened up on the foes, with the ruthlessnessand accuracy that no other droids in the galaxy could match. Every tatical advantage was now in Cotana's hands.

As Avon fell, Jana, Diana, and Ophelia ran outside, engaging the enemy, lightsabers ignited.

In the chaos, Kasandral cloaked herself in the Force, then levitated a few inches above the ground to cover her tracks. It was time this was finished. Floating off into the shadows of the forest, Kasandral continued levitating for some time. Finally, she lowered her feet to the ground. Creeping silently, a mere shadow among shadows, Kasandral made her way to the first clearing. Peering out through the leaves, Kasandral reached out with the Force, looking for Mordan...

Suddenly the air was filled with electricity and the surrounding foliage began to burn fiercely. After the storm died down, Kasandral could see the glow of a familiar looking lightsabre.

Mordan was standing on the other side of the clearing holding her tutor's lightsabre in one hand and commanding great forces of lightning with the other. He smiled ruthlessly at Kasandral as he raised his weapon,

Mordan: "I can see you Kasandral Xerephin. Your force cloak is useless against me."

Kasandral grinned, lowering her hood.
"At last, the time has come, Mordan. I trust you have said farewell to your family? Be glad I even bother to ask. It's more than you ever did..."
She reached down to her belt, unclipped Zerghiel, and activated it, it's purple glow bathing the area.

Mordan sniffed a laugh as he twirled his lightsabre,

Mordan: "What the hell is that?" he asked mockingly, "Dear oh dear, it would seem I killed your master before he managed to teach you what a lightsabre was."

His spiteful laughter echoed through the clearing before he lept up into the air and brought his weapon up and over to chop down on Kasandral...

OOC: Sorry...been out of town for a while.

IC:
Kasandral dove to the side, tumbling to her feet as Mordan chopped down. Quickly, she let a burst of lightning at the forest floor near Mordan, setting it alight. Standing, her left hand forward, and Zerghiel up in her right ((think Obi-Wan Kenobi's frequent stance in ep. 3, almost like a fencing stance, but not quite)) Kasandral narrowed her eyes. "I will not be as easy to defeat as my master was..."

Mordan jumped up and landed away from the burning foliage just as Kasandral moved into her stance,

Mordan: "Your master fell by my hands before I was trained in your Jedi arts." He swirled his sabre around and moved into his stance, (Dooku's stance) "Surrender now and I'll promise you a quick death."

Mordan deflected the blade and followed through, but Kasandral used her momentum to block his attack and continue with a parry. The two locked their blades together with both their mights working against each other,

Mordan: "Such a feisty creature. Pity your talants were wasted with the Jedi."

Mordan pushed forward and moved to deliver a roundhous kick at Kasandral...

OOC: Does anyone mind if I start a new academy thread and take it from there?
