Dear President Belik,

It would seem that everyone’s friend, the rogue state of Allanea has somehow managed to regain the infrastructure and money required to build up a military. If their last ditch actions during the One Day War are any indication of what lies in the future, I’m sure that they’ll attack again.

As a way to prevent an Allanean invasion of Goobergunchia, as well as promote trade between our nations, the Principality of Bryn Shander would like to purchase isthmus half of the Goobergunchian province of Libertus. If acquired, the border between Allanea and the territory would be reinforced with a strong military presence, forcing any future aggression to be by way of the sea, where Allanean losses will be far greater.

The Principality is willing to pay up to $1.5 billion USD for the territory, and any Goobergunchians still occupying the land would be allowed to continue living as citizens of Goobergunchia, or if desired, become citizens of the Principality.

We agree with your assessment regarding Allanea's intentions towards Goobergunchia. The land is essentially worthless to us, as it was somewhat destroyed in the One Day War by Allanean aggression. There are only a few people currently living there, so I don't have many constituents to worry about (and they're all Blue Party hippies anyway) - however, there is a half-built canal on the southern edge of the territory in question that we leave to you to deal with.

I'll have to maneuver this through both High and Low Councils before a sale can be finalized, so it may take a bit before final approval. There may be a bit of opposition, but I don't forsee anything big enough to prevent passage. However, we in the executive branch are in full approval of this plan.

I am pleased to report that the High Council has approved the sale of the applicable property by the requisite two-thirds vote; the final margin was 70-30. Although the Libertus delegates put up a stiff fight in the Low Council, it passed there as well 521-102. Therefore, approval of sale has been granted and can proceed as soon as you wish.

We would be willing to accept electronic payment for the land in question, as that would probably be the simplest way of finalizing the transaction.

Dear President Belik,

My colleagues and I are pleased to hear the good news. I will personally have the funds transferred immediately.

As the territory will be a gate to keep Allanea from advancing north, it shall be named Forodren Annon, Elven for Northern Gate. Hopefully when Forodren Annon is developed, it will lead Haven into a new era of stability.
