This is the OOC thread for Peace Restored (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?p=7324491#post7324491)
Now to describe the Villa on Goat Rock...
I did have a picture of the layout of this house...the problem is it will not presently work...so
The house is formed in the shape of an H. http://homepage.mac.com/wbwip/seacadets/june03flight/thumb/dsc02016.jpg
The central line, or range, of the H contains the living room on the ground floor at almost 60 feet by 30 feet.

The room looks out on at the front of the house across a small garden and out the back of the house across a lawn, with a long pool (filled with grass) an a pair of small buildings with a colonade between them. They also look out on the bay, to be described below.
The right wing of the H contains the dining room and billard room with the elevator, butler's pantry and service stairs between them. The billard room is located at the upper right end and the dining room at the lower right end.
The left wing of the H contains the salon http://www.newportmansions.org/images/RCSalon.gif at the upper left end, the stair hall at the center http://www.fswarchitects.com/history/Rosecliff.jpg
and the entrance hall at the lower left end.
Upstairs each 'end' of the H has a large, 30 by 30 square bedroom except for the lower left end which is actually about 30 by 15. The two small plain bedrooms are tucked in next to the lower left end bedroom and lower right bedroom since the lower two ends are longer than the upper ends. The two wings of the H are connected upstaris by a 12 foot wide hallway. Off of this hallway is the acess to the three bedrooms looking out over the bay and over the living room.
The servants rooms upstairs sit above the central wing and have a set of stairs going down. into the rest of the house. You can not see the 'third' floor from the ground because it is behind the balustrade, similar to the white house. (and done by the same architects actually)
The upper side of the H looks out over the point and into the bay. The bay has several similar buildings along it's rocky shore, infact there is no apparent beach anywhere along the shore here. There are several multi-story boat houses including the one for this house which is one of the two buildings at the water's edge at the end of the lawn. At the upper end of the bay is a village built on both sides of a small river.
The two outbuildings (at the end of the garden) is a boat house with the upper floor used as a sort of outdoor rec room with stairs going down into the boat room below. (no boats sorry) The colonade is at the edge of the rocky cliff but has a hot tub built in to a niche at the center. The other 'pavilion' is actually a kid's play room with abandoned toys in little cubbyholes around the sides and a sand box in the center.
Both the pool, and the bowling alley are unusable at present. The pool because it is now a koi pond...(with no Koi) and the bowling alley by a lack of equipment...the billiard table still has all of the the balls and a full rack of ques.
Before I get comments, I just took this house from RL and flipped it for the site.
