This Thread will be used to provide Referee(s) from your country. As in World Cup 17, both participating and non-participating countries may provide a referee.

Please Include a style ranking such as [1:5]

1-9 for the first number meaning Strictness to the rules, 9 being Strict, 1 being lenient

1-9 for the second number meaning ability to call a match fairly / make the right calls based on their previous style - 9 being Fairest, 1 being Unfair/Bad Calls

Dagwood Bumstead: 6:6

Dagwood is a reasonably fair referee, and actually knows most of the rules of the game. He does look a little odd on the field, with his two huge cowlicks and that shirt with a single button the size of a saucer. But balance that out with the fact that he does show up, almost always on time, and brings his own whistle.

Dagwood always appreciates receiving a brown paper bag stuffed with...well..."donations"...before a match. Preferably one from each side.

Veronica Lodge: 1:7

Ronnie is as fair as can be expected, considering she doesn't pay much attention to the match. For Ronnie, football is a social occassion. That doesn't really effect her ability to call the game, however, since in most instances she hasn't a clue what's going on, what the rules are, or who, for that matter, are playing.

Ronnie wouldn't consider accepting a bribe...there's no room left in the Lodge Money Vaults.

In the event that anyone does care...

Tom Terrific was a cartoon on the Kaptain Kangaroo show back in the 50's. Mighty Manfred, the Wonder Dog, was Tom's dog. And Crabby Appleton was the villain.

Mike Green [3:4] - Now getting into his seventies, this famous (or is that infamous?) BSTV commentator from the WC8 era is beginning to suffer from poor eyesight, which has impaired his refereeing abilities. Plus, he's always been pretty laid back, unwilling to risk any unnecessary anger.

Sarah Briscoe [8:6] - Daughter of legendary Bedistani midfielder Claire Briscoe, Sarah has chosen to take her inherited footballing talent to the sidelines. Needless to say, she knows the rules of the game like the back of her hand, and she's been trying to get rid of the bias her mother put into her against known Bedistani bogey teams.
