The Imperial Capital shone like a Jewel in the night Crown prince Tristian Zylafelle of House Zylafelle stood at the balcony over looking the huge lake by the river tomorrow he was going to confront the senate over the issue for raisng a state army three things were principal in his speech

1:Adiquate numbers for the army should it be professional or conscript
2:equiptment and machinery and jobs in the military sector that would be rose by the formation of such a force
3:Training and uniting of the houses for such a purpose

sooner or later a foreign force was going to seek to attack Zyphona or conquer it and adequate defence was going to be needed the Imperial senate and most of all his father needed convincing 78 years after the civil war which put his father Granvelle the 1st on the throne Zyphona was still divided by the old house structure and his brothers were more like artists that thought that this country born of bloodshed and pain was invisible to hostile or friendly foreign eyes fools one and all and then their was his sister a stern diplomat Julia was her name Julia Zylafelle she sought to make friends by making promises she couldnt keep to foriegn lands and neighbours no Zyphona needed to be prepared and prepared it would be no foriegn aggressor would set foot in its lands not whilst he was crown prince of these lands and its defence minister Zyphona would raise an army to deter any threat!

Tristian walked through the hallowed halls of the senate he had his dress uniform on a breifcase with his notes under his arm he wore the rank pins of the commander in cheif of the internal guard of whom are the only defence force in the land
"Welcome crown prince" said the head of the senate Timothy Riley
"hello head of Senate I trust that everything is set?" repiled Tristian
"It is but your father is......... lets say fiercely opposed to this move an army would be expensive and somewhat provokative to foriegn countries you only have to see the situation between the USA and the middle eastern countries to see this" replied Riley
the two of them began to walk towards the senate chambers Tristian listening to Rileys consul
"But an army would benefit this country Port Calais and the lowlands would be able to provide able bodied men for service coastal defences would be strengthened jobs born a defence for this country if an foreign force attacked now the internal guard is only 180,000 strong a foreign invading army would use a million times more than that we would fall power in this region is a must if only for our own domestic defence" repiled Tristian
Riley looked away
"What is it Riley?" said Tristian concern in his voice
"Your father believes that you will use the army to exercise your right to rule and depose him from the throne he believes that the Internal guard are loyal feircely loyal to him because they answer only to him!" replied Riley
Tristian began to laugh
"My father the Emperor would see this country ruled by poets and painters and defended by bohemian artists this army is needed and we will have it sooner or later our countries independence and soverieghty depend upon it!"
"That my crown prince is what I worry about!" replied Riley

The Senate doors swung open and the session began.................
