Project Remembrance
“United through the Mind”

Before the Fall, Ian Stark, then-Patriarch of House Stark was doing research into replicating the Ascended ‘Rift’ ability, through the use of technology and a team of powerful psions. However, his research was interrupted by the fall, and his subsequent demise.

RevTek, having realized that the Stardrive, while a feat of engineering in and of itself, was insufficient for such roles as ‘Quick Response,’ and ‘Scouting.’ Further, Vysarian Stark, Director of Research at RevTek was able to acquire all of Ian Stark’s prototypes, notes, and conclusions.

A team, led by Vysarian Stark (Project Lead on such things as: The Chameleon Systems, The Capital-Fighter AI, The Command Interface Implants, the Midnight Silver implants;) was able to push forward to the point where they were able to build a prototype fully functional system, using a tandem team of psions, that was able to achieve ‘Rifting.’

The system was dubbed the ‘Transcendant Drive,’ and the Warprince was called in. He examined the system, consulted with expert sources, and ordered the production of ten ships fitted with this ‘Transcendant Drive.’

The sheer size and complexity of the TD required at least a Dreadnought hull. The mission that these ships would carry out required a hull twice that size. These new ‘Remembrance class Super Dreadnoughts’ will be the second largest ship class in commission with the Star Navy.

The ten Jumpships will be placed under the authority of the newly formed ‘Revenian Star Navy Dynamic Response Command,’ the successor of the previous ‘RSN Independent Unit Command,’ and ‘RSN Roving Line Command.’

The DRC will field ten jumpship squadrons, consisting of :

One (1) Remembrance class Super Dreadnought
Four (4) Outrider class Escort Carriers
Two (2) Fallen class Battleships
Two (2) Supply Ships

Further, the DRC will field five Roving Lines, consisting of:
One (1) Honor class Strike Cruiser
Two (2) Outrider class Escort Carriers
One (1) Supply Ship

Created to provide the necessary pilots for these jumpships, the Knights Navigator and Star Knights will detach a squad each per jumpship, rotating companies through active duty. As it is necessary for each Knight Navigator (Clairvoyant) to bond with a corresponding Star Knight (Pilot,) the companies will be deployed accordingly.

Each Remembrance class Super Dreadnought will be commanded by either a Commodore or Captain (Senior Grade,) who will also commander the jumpship squadron.

Chief Daaresh Nikondak folded his arms, watching as his team molecularly annealed the big slabs of sculpted iridium armor onto the skeleton of the massive new ship.

These bloody gigantic 'Super Dreadnought' thingies were some of the biggest ships that Daaresh had ever seen before, second only to the entirely gargantuan 'city in space' Victorious class Fortress Ships.

Stranger still, the designs called for a lot of empty space that would become the realm of the teams from RevTek. This didn't bother Nikondak too much, as Vysarian Stark was an old buddy of the Chief. So, it would be little surprise when said august individual requested the assistance of one Chief Daaresh Nikondak, properly Veteran Sergeant Daaresh Nikondak, Knights Artificer.

Further, it was no surprise when Veteran Sergeant Daaresh Nikondak, Knights Artificer, solved the problem, in record time. He always did.

Captain (Senior Grade) Sir Arden Velisuar stretched out in his command chair. His new command, the RNS Remembrance wasn't the largest ship he'd ever skippered, for Arden had been Warprince Stark's Flag Captain before he received his first independent command.

However, command of the Remembrance, and the 1st Jump Squadron, was definately the pinnacle of Arden's career. He smiled his winning smile, and nodded towards the two individuals on his bridge who did not wear an RSN uniform.

One, Doctor Ari Vyselas, was the RevTek engineer assigned to his ship for the purpose of caring for the Transcendant drive. The other, Taen V'drae, was there for the purpose of caring for the psions who made the Transcendant Drive work.

Of course, in the event of a true problem, V'drae wouldn't be able to do much but keep the poor bastards alive, while a pair of their compatriots brought the squadron back to Northfell for proper care.

That was the standing order: Psion in trouble means drop everything and head home. Arden had no problem with that. Regardless...

"Squadron, prepare for Jump."

The other ships of the 1st Jump Squadron were securely moored to the Remembrance. All was ready, and so it began.

The navigator, invisible inside her pod deep within the Transcendant Drive emplacement, reached out with her mind, pinpointing the location to which the ship would jump to. Then, the system itself pulled that location from her mind, and transferred it to the pilot.

He, aided by the powers of the Drive, Willed that the ship be at that location, and so, the Drive activated. The big super-dreadnought disappeared in a burst of aquamarine light, re-appearing moments later, having traversed the full distance from the Nexus system, directly to the Northfell system.

Cheers broke out among the crewers, and Arden himself smiled. Success was a wonderful thing.
