Sent to all nations with any diplomatic contact with the Empire, addressed and headed as appropriate:
His Royal Majesty, Danwyth ap Gwydion, King of Shieldcrest, invites the warriors and champions of all nations to participate in a tourney. The tourney shall encompass the traditional joust, as well as fencing and hand-to-hand contests, as well as competitions in target shooting with bow, crossbow, and firearms. There shall be a duel of magic, a contest of wits, and a grand hunt.

ooc: Hrm ... could have gotten lost in the shuffle ... then again, you do seem to have a lot of different threads going on, and it might be hard for folks to keep track of 'em all. I know I've been too wrapped up in my stuff of late, and things here at home to do much on the boards for example. I know I'm not the only one who struggles with that. Suggest you finish up your warring bit, and try again. Possibly sending out some tg's or the like as reminders?
OOC: Seconded. This could be interesting, save we have very few magi, and jousting and such with us really wouldn't be fair to your folks. Throw in a bit of monster wrestling, and you can count me in.

((It would be fair enough to trolls))
I'm not sure if it would be fair to other combatants.....Weyrean martial arts have no rules regarding what you may or may not do, per se, and are tailored to be used against people wearing bulletproof arachnoweave. Kinda cramps the joust bit when the opponent whips out a spray of liquid knuckles, or chucks a molecular-edge blade with an arm that can lift up three hundred pounds.
The magick bit sounds interesting, though. Still, I'd suggest that you set up ground rules for what participants may or may not do at each event.
