Beyond Luna, in the far reaches of the Earth system, a region known as Side 3, located around L2, was getting far more traffic than normal. Hour after hour, warships entered the region, all headed for one place; the Principality of Bryn Shander’s huge asteroid fortress, A Baoa Qu.

Earlier that week, the leaders of Bryn Shander and TAR, who’s international relations had strengthened since the diffusement of the situation in Liebermonk, as well as the leaders of various other nations, had met to discuss the situation in the former Federation Territory of Allanea.

Deciding not to announce their plans, the nations agreed to watch and see how Reichskamphen and Greater Prussia would handle the cattle that are the people of Allanea. As a compromise to keep the others from rushing in too soon, Bryn Shander suggested that a large fleet be formed at A Baoa Qu so that, should Allanea go even further into the depths of hell, a quick response could be initiated in a fraction of the time that would be required if the fleets were separate.

Soon the ships would arrive.

In the cold outer darkness light travels in lines with little or no spatial curve to bend it. Now however near the A Baoa Qu station photons, that in the greater scheme of things should have been merrily on there way were scattered and with a coruscating flash of energies and radiation that rent space time apart like wet tissue.

The vessel was huge, from end to end 11 kilometres in all a blade truly fit to split heaven open. Her hull still iridescently shining and lacking the pockmarks of long term space travel she was new. Upon her id panels the legend "ZMI S.F.S. Management Buyout" seemed to mock the stars with its white bold lettering. Smaller ships poured from openings in her sides , no more than specks against the dark save for the blast of there drive flames. The ship took up her position. She was the first. Deals had been made. Money handed over in dark places. The price of blood letting had been paid for.

The first emperors fleet dropped into normal space with a great flash, barely 1000 kilometres from A Baoa Qu. The various strike craft and frigates of the fleet assembled around the ZMI S.F.S Management Buyout, to afford it some protection against any possible attack be allaneas 'allies'. The supercapital ships and heavy fighter/bombers moved in closer to the fortress, assembling into a close protective formation. The commanders shuttle detached from the /Divine Dragon/, the flagship, and flew down to dock with A Baoa Qu itself.

The great wheel of the Galaxy turns, and in the end there is only Life and Love or Death and Profit.

Space stretched thin and tore again and the ZMI S.F.S “More Bang For Your Buck” (known lovingly by her crew as the “Mofo” much to her captains eternal ire) took up position beside her sistership. She was the second in the Management Buyout class, but her blade like shapes base was broken by the clamps and towing cables needed to link her to five huge cargo modules she towed. These 2 kilometre long eggs were civilian in application really nothing more than vast drop pods contained the beginning of the end for the target if the order was given. Inside them great machines waited, their systems kept silent and as cold as the void around them to hide their true awful power and dark purpose. Then just as her sister had done the “More Bang For Your Buck” launched her squadrons of “Star Sprite” torpedo corvettes to join the dark cloud of mechanical death that now surrounded the space the growing military force occupied.

The Management Buyout sat her drives gently stroking the space around her to keep her steady as she launched and retrieved countless ships and drones. Her long range sensor array probed the target and its possible defences, her vast main armament was targeted and quite in range its bore occasionally cleansed by a flash of blue electric fire she was ready to kill at the moment the order was given. Inside her cavernous launch bays 34 “Black Star” class assault frigates sat ready for launch there missile bays equipped for area interdiction and ship to ship combat while her ship killer mass energy turrets seemed to track endlessly against the sky there sensors tirelessly probing the eternal dark for targets who simply shouldn’t be there even as the entire hull of the Management Buyout acted as a vast active scanning optronic sensor.

Meanwhile the Star Sprites acted as a “big” networked gravity sensor array literally monitoring every speck of dust with in there range using there own relative positions to work out any possible intrusion however small. The “Vengeance” class ship killer torpedoes they carried were checked and rechecked there penetration tips and mass compression warheads would be a nasty surprise for any ship foolish enough to think the corvettes nothing more than stealthy scouts.

A small vessel left the Management Buyout, a bright red shuttlecraft her tiny delta wing shaped sides embossed with corporate logos, ministerial sigils and military unit ID barcodes. She was escorted by a swarm of dart like space superiority drones she headed for the fortress. Her tiny mass a tiny red spark against the backdrop of military power assembled around her. Aboard her reclining in a crash couch a man in what looked like a finely tailored Italian suit with a single small white ZMI logo on the pocket seemingly as an afterthought grinned as he washed flashing figures inside his own eyelids. He was fleet tactician Sebastian Taylor, a lithe thin almost raptor like man who had been re psyched to have virtually no sense of right or wrong meanly loyalty to the company and humanity as a whole. He had the terrible ability to strategically deal death and destruction feel absolutely nothing but the satisfaction of a job well done and a fat paycheque well earned. Beside him sat Fleet Admiral Eric Haze the ZMI fleet units military commander his space black uniform a stark contrast to the decadence and supple deceptive nature of Taylor’s suit. This unlikely duo had worked well in the past and the board had voted that they would carry out there terrible duties again.

The price of the death of a people is not as much as people would hope its moral value is. Luckily in this case ZMI had the morals of a dockside whore.

Shortly after the arrival of the Management Buyout, /Divine Dragon/, and More Bang For Your Buck arrived at the asteroid fortress, a fourth large ship entered Bryn Shander space. At 6km long, 3km wide, and 1.15km from top to bottom, the sleek black ship dwarfed every other ship in Bryn Shander’s navy by many times.

With a main gun that fires a beam almost half a kilometer wide, as well as 136 secondary guns mounted on 68 retractable turrets, 2500 fighters, and more than 1200 mobile suits, the PNS Lina Inverse was more powerful than most of Bryn Shander’s fleets combined. Outfitted with the latest technology, including the Minovsky Craft System, which allows the ship to ride an I-Field like a hovercraft rides an air cushion, and a new Astral FTL system, the ship was very expensive. Maintenance and development budgets for the next few years had to be slashed for the funding required to build the massive ship. Hopefully, she would be worth it.

Slowly, the ship and her skeleton crew of nearly 2,500 came to the asteroid, decelerating enough to bring the ship to one of the external docks built when the ship’s construction was announced. Over the next few days, she would be loaded with supplies, munitions, fighters, mobile suits, and most importantly, her crew. Her captain would be Admiral Aseroth Xiloscient, a fey’ri who had seen Bryn Shander through many years and conflicts. He was also the Governor of the Mars colony’s brother. Unfortunately, Kiari could not be here to see him take command of her nation’s flagship, for urgent matters at Mars required her attention.

Meanwhile, welcoming parties were sent to greet the captains of the foreign ships that had just arrived.

Arda

The Red Priest was away in Kalessin's Shining City, and so it was Xellos who was overseeing certain Projects, Projects that were supposed to greatly enhance The Realm's capacity of conducting the endless search for the Phisosopher's stone...

Yet, even Xellos would have been surprised, had he known that the Rebels inside the Realm were so widely known that entire Starships were named after them... And had he known it, he would surely have done some research regarding the Problem.

And who knew... With the Projects going on, soon enough, he would (possibly) have this capacity...

Shortly after the shuttles containing the commanding officers of the three foreign superships docked, a welcoming party met with each.

"Grand High Admiral Zieg, I presume?" piped up a young Ensign who had recently been assigned to the massive facility. With her, were several other newbies to the station. "Admiral Xiloscient is waiting for you on the bridge of the Lina Inverse." Leading the Grand High Admiral and his escorts through the maze of tunnels that formed the interior of A Baoa Qu, the Ensign made her way downwards the lower end of the fortress, where the docking facilities for the Inverse had been constructed.

Meanwhile, Fleet Admiral Haze and Sebastian Taylor were met with a similar greeting party. As the two groups snaked through the halls, they noticed an increasing amount of traffic heading in the same direction. The Inverse was receiving her crew and weapons, the parties explained to each group.

When the groups made it to one of the gangways extending to the ship, they met up and combined, joining the long line of crew making it's way onto the ship. As the ship was six kilometers long, it could have taken an hour or more to get from one end to the other. Fortunately, the gangway the party took was near the bridge, and they only had to go a few hundred meters before finding the lift that would take them to the bridge.

For what seemed like minutes, the elevator raced upwards, creating almost full Earth gravity, one thing absent from both A Baoa Qu and the Inverse. Finally, the doors slid open with a hiss, and the group walked onto the bridge of the new ship.

In a chair on a raised platform, sat a black haired elf wearing a crimson uniform. "How do you like my new ship?"

View ... what was accepted to be the ZMI S.F.S Management Buyouts "keel" section... array after array of missile tube openings dotting this lonely plane of metal and battle ceramic like a lunar surface. Now view a single tube open to space and a blinding flash of blue light cascade for a second before as if it had never opened the tube slides shut once more returning the Management Buyouts hull do a deathly stillness save for the eternal dalek like probing of the dark by her main turrets.

"The stealth Geological Probe is away Admiral", Sebastian murmured as data overlaid his vision in seemingly lazy waves from the probes pulsed transmissions as they entered the cavernous entry of the Lina Inverse. Fleet Admiral Haze simply grunted his hazel eyes taking in the ships bulkheads as they reached the bridge. Sebastian catching the Admirals look sub vocalised via a microscopic implant to implant optic link, "Yes Admiral there is a 70% chance that this design would facilitate a boarding attempt however the vessels considerable fire power would mean unacceptably high causalities in such an event if even a portion of it was still operational ah we appear to be on the bridge sir". The admiral looked about him taking in the raised dais and the figure on its Elven features. Sebastian's voice once more was carried to him via his implant "the probe has completed re entry and submersion and will reach the first insertion site in 4 minutes"

"So how do you like my new ship" the figure in crimson said "Admiral Xilosceint I Sebastian replied smoothly it is a great honour for our humble commercial venture to be involved with a person of such military acumen as your most honoured self" Taylor's voice was lyrical almost hypnotic the meaningless pleasantries covering his real purpose of evaluating Admiral Xilosceint via his implants numerous sensors and his own vast repertoire of body movement to emotion controls. "Our host is quite confident and as with all elves extremely hard to read admiral but I need not tell you that old friend. His psyche is strong and his level of command and loyalty among his staff is above acceptable levels we are within the normal tactical command conditions of our contracts terms" Our papers sir Taylor finished with a flourish presenting a thin wad of plas flimsies bearing the ZMI boards crest. "As paid for we shall remain on station until our duty has been carried or our forces face totally overwhelming odds" Haze smoothly interjected an odd grin crossing his face as he snapped open a small plastic box. "A remote activation unit for the devices final mode sir ...the board thought you would enjoy the personnel touch" Sebastian said as Haze presented Xilosceint with a single black enamel tube with a white ivory button inlaid upon its top.

Shortly after the shuttles containing the commanding officers of the three foreign superships docked, a welcoming party met with each.
The admiral adjusted his long, flowing cape and looked up at the elf with his striking blue eyes, long whiskers, pointy cat ears and well trimmed fur. "Well, it is certainly impressive, to say the least. i would like to see it in trials with the /Divine Dragon/ one day. But back to the pressing matter at hand, what we should exactly do with allanea, and how to convince Reichskamphen to leave without any bloodshed on our part." He calmly awaits the elfs response, thinking of the possible consequences of a war.

The probe was small, no more than the size of a beach ball, still as it passed through areas under Reichskamphen active scanning it burned away its valuable tiny power reserves in keeping itself both apparently massless and just out of phase enough to allow any radiation's which could be used in passive scanning to pass cleanly through its small but surpassingly dense bulk.. As it hit atmosphere it for a brief second began to glow cherry red before the hull became super conductive siphoning in all heat created by re entry odd fields shaping and cushioning its fall as much as they could to both avoid detection by there radiation's and insure the tiny craft left no infra red track across the sky. Steering its long fall well away from the coast line of the target it began to unreal huge seemingly gossamer thin webs of sensor cable then it finally stuck the oceans surface in a shot of spray before beginning a new decent into the dark depths towards its target ...the sea bed.

"Sir perhaps we may interject" Sebastian interjected smoothly and continued on "we have an option available however given its somewhat delicate nature before deployment it will require space superiority be achieved". "We have on offer a somewhat unique opportunity as you can clearly see the um somewhat conspicuous cargo modules the More Bang For Your Buck are not um ..just for show"... Sebastian looked about to insure the gathered gaggle of command staff were listening. The devices we intend to use started life as part of a planiforming research project...but we have found other more politically and financially expedient ways of deploying them. They are quite capable of quite literally erasing Allenea from the map ...forever." All the while Sebastian's hypnotic tones seemed to gather the attention of this motley bunch of military commanders even given the somewhat dry discussion.

"Simply put we intend to sink Allanea" Sebastian said then paused for effect...
"Three of the cargo pods contain 1.3 kilometre long devices originally designed for tectonic engineering ...we have modified them somewhat but there original design already allows them a great deal of survivability even given modern battle conditions. We call them magma torpedoes for expediencies sake ...in fact they are considerably more than a torpedo but for the time being I believe the name will be quite sufficient.

"We have recovered extensive geological surveys of our... target area and we are at this moment receiving live telemetry from a geological probe on the insertion point in the sea bed. We can promise minimal collateral damage ... this after all is a controlled event ..we can sink Allenea if necessary at the rate of inches per day or in one great cataclysmic shift that will shake the target to shards long before mother earth reclaims it."

Sebastian paused again and looked about him awaiting a response from those gathered near.

Xiloscient raised an eyebrow and paused slightly before accepting the object.

"Very well. I shall put it to good use."

He eyed Zieg for a bit, having never seen anyone with this much anthromorphization before. The nekojin in Bryn Shander generally only had a few feline traits. Usually ears, a tail, and occasionally eyes and claws. Admiral Zieg however, was different. He had fur, whiskers, and appeared to be more cat than man. Of course, Xiloscient himself would be considered an oddity in his own right.

He was a Fey'ri. The product of the union between a elf/succubus half fiend and a sun elf. As such, he was alienated from both the elven and fiendish communities in Bryn Shander. Fortunately, his lineage left him with many gifts, including an uncanny ability to avoid damage and a high tolerance for heat. Most of all, he had the ability to transform at will, a gift from his succubus grandmother. He was also gifted with extraordinary dexterity and charisma, making him quick and influential.

All of these things, combined with his extensive sorcerous talent made him the perfect choice for a leader, as well as a diplomat. As such, he rose through the ranks of his nation's space forces, reaching the rank of Captain in record time. Now he was an Admiral, the most decorated man in the nation's military, and the CO of the newest and most powerful ship in the fleet.

"I would also like to see how the /Divine Dragon/ would fare against the Lina Inverse. Perhaps after the upcoming conflict is over, we can find out."

"As for Allanea, I feel that we should strike quickly and without warning. The last thing we need are Allaneans escaping their doom. Unfortunately, this would mean that we cannot warn Reichskamphen beforehand, as that would give them time to evacuate citizens, as well as call in reinforcements. I know that none of us want to have to worry about losing any ships and their crews."

"Should we execute this correctly, Allanea can be removed from the face of the world overnight without losing a single of our own men. Sadly, the casualties for Reichskamphen will be immense."

Aseroth scanned the group once more.

"Do any of you have any suggestions?"

Sebastian closed his eyes and recounted the litany of the problem before them in his implant filled genetically and nanite enhanced mind…

We dare not engage a greater Prussia backed force we would take unacceptable levels of casualties and unless we strip our military assets to the bone elsewhere we will be unable to achieve victory or even parity of forces.”
We dare not use covert forces to insure the fleet is moved ..though we should look into the possibly of bribing its commanders but given there greater Prussian background ..the chances of success in this avenue are slim.
Therefore if we build enough military forces up to ensure that to oppose us the enemies forces would be left crippled and easy prey. At its worst the fleet will suffer a Jutland ..both sides blunted but neither destroyed or crippled and both able to save face…at best the forces of opposing us will simply back down and allow us onwards. We will require conventional firepower. All that we can muster on short notice. Behind Sebastian’s closed eyelids figures and names flashed, the names of ships, logistics and tactical situations. Sebastian made a choice and in his right arm an implant slashed out a signal which passed through the hull of the inverse like paper and reached into the gulf between stars.

Forces were set in motion as Sebastian would need a lot more than his disposal than the considerable firepower of two “pocket task forces” in the shape of the management buyouts already on station. As the message reached them Battle squadrons formed up of cruisers and Battle cruisers who had been on facility guard duties which then ripped space, light destroyers suddenly broke off from chases with pirate vessels to rejoin there squadrons, in all nearly two thousand ships sizes above that of corvettes but below battle cruiser where now steaming together to reinforce the fleets at Au Boau Quo. Joining them was the hard fist of the ZMI main grand fleet consisting of four massive Management Buyout class warships the “Deviant Sales trend” the “Market Saturation” the” Money before Pride” and finally the “Corporate Law Enforcer”. Each of these ships unlike there two sisters now on station were rigged not as acting as support platforms for task group “police” actions but full scale battle with corvette bays replaced with beam weapon batteries and missile tube. These ships blade like shapes were screened by a massed wall of 54 “Insider Trading” class Battleships whose phase warp would be a nasty surprise for the enemy as there shots simply passed through the wraith like warships. The fleet was slow as the Management Buyouts were wallowing for they each towed five massive cargo pods These 5 kilometre long containers were packed with battle drone and, space superiority drone in there thousand’s, control and reload platforms, gun platforms, ground bombardment platforms and literally hundreds of thousands of battle satellite. Frigate sized Tactical strike missiles capable of evaporating an entire squadron of cruisers or blowing an enemy capital ship to bits were wedged in were they would fit, in some cases lashed to the outside of containers with a thin ablative layer of battle ceramic sprayed over them to insure the trip did not damage them. Great disposable anti capital ship C fractional linear accelerators were being towed behind the battleships there open spars of super conductor crackling in the ftl fields. Finally packing every cargo pod millions of rounds for every class of ship mounted armament that required reloads. In between the Super Capital ships 230 tenders sat there defence gun batteries folded away. These forces would arrive at there destination in a little under two days.

Within the space of a long blink Sebastian Taylor had set in motion a force that if unopposed could slag every planet in a stellar cluster.

Sebastian opened his eyes and calmly said “Gentlemen I believe I have a gambit that may allow us at least a chance at the target without using unconventional force. It requires us to raise the greatest armada we can here for a start after that it is up to the creator and our enemies hopefully ill luck whether or not we are successful.”

The Ulahan Sirithilan shipyards, TAR homeworld orbit.
The great /Aurora/, the product of years of planning and hard work had finally been completed. At 50km long, more of a station than a ship, she was to be the centerpiece of the new fleet assigned to A Baoa Qu. The fleet was to join the rest of the grand battlegroup at the fortress soon enough.

Ahrezohan station, TAR homeworlds moon
From many miles away, the activity at this station would be fully evident. Scientists had worked for years to create a great many things that would soon be shipped to A Baoa Qu, including a planetary defense shield generator, a deadly virus, a new form of adaptable power armour and a few specially adapted planetary defense weapons platforms.

Bahlahai Forsaken, TAR colony world
Hundreds of thousands of soldiers had gathered, ready to march onto the transports that would join with the rest of the grand battlegroup at A Baoa Qu. Already on the transports were hundreds of dropships, thousands of HSSWs and several AAWPs. This massive undertaking was for one purpose, to ensure that allanea would never again rise to any form of galactic prominence by completly and utterly destroying it.
