CNN, Sacramento – Today, after a series of public protests against extremist right-wing policies by the current Administration, including the sunset of the ban on assault rifles and Uzis, Governor Gray Davis and a band of Loyalists have taken back Sacramento and declared the secession of California from the Union. ‘Today I, Governor Gray Davis of the People’s Republic of California, in protest of the anti-democratic, reactionary policies of the Federal Government, declare the secession of California from the Union. From now on it will be known as the People’s Republic of California, to further denote my intent to enforcing a government for, if not by, the people.
The first act of my administration will be to arrest, on treason charges, all right-wing extremist militia activists in California, confiscate all assault weapons, and begin a cleansing operation against illegal ferret owner clubs, to further safeguard public health and safety in California.
As the Governor of the People’s Republic of California, I again declare the independence from the Union. May God bless California.
