OOC: Looking for a new director who will temp the pure girls, especially my character. He will basically just try and disrupt the utopia of a temple. Can also play an elder of the temple or a new recruit to work for the temple. Can also play a citizen spending some time at the temple. This temple is for people looking for divinity and the women working there look to preserve it in themselves and others.

IC:

Serahphine placed her brush on the countertop of her wooden vanity. She looked up where a mirror should be placed. I wonder what I would look like; she fingered her long straight silky strands of black hair and her lips shifted into a thick pout. Her long black eyelashes closed over her eyes. At least I have some idea what colour my eyes are. She was told frequently by the other women of the temple and the elders, and the children from the orphanage she used to live at that her eyes were like black voids drawing people into the abyss and happily going into them and not wanting to ever leave. I don't even remember what I look like it has been four years since I have been in the orphanage. She was taken from the orphanage at the age of 17 because one of the ladies there suggested to one of the elders that she would make an excellent applicant there. She told Serahphine that it would be a wonderful opportunity to expand her knowledge and her purity. She was one of the purest at her home, according to this councilor. Since then she had been living in this temple studying what men of that time study and praying for the majority of her time.

Serahphine walked over to her wardrobe and opened the creaky oil-hungry door and pulled out a white dress. She slipped it over her slim bare body. She grabbed a robe lying on her bed and tied it around her thin waist. She left her room to go into the center of the temple to pray and start her day off. She knelt by two other girls.

"I heard we were getting a new director and it is to be a male," came a shrill voice from a short curly red head.

"Really, I can't wait. The men around here lately haven't been much to look at." She paused and noticed Serahphine was watching them. "Right, Serahphine?" A snicker came from both girls.

Tears well up on her lower eyelids and dared to spill over. She swallowed hard. She had not seen someone of the opposite sex for four years. She was the youngest of the workers, only 21, most were 25-30. The elders would grab Serahphine and rush her away when a male, even of a different species, entered the temple. Sometimes mumbling save the pure one.

She stared back at the girls, "Why get a director that is male, when all the workers are female here?"

Susie, the red head rolled her eyes, "Like I know why?" Again laughter followed, but ended abruptly for the elders had walked out to start the prayers.

Serahphine busied herself with her work all day and did not let the girls bother her. Serahphine was outside in the late of the afternoon pulling weeds from the nearby gardens that surrounded the white picturesque temple. A tall willow covered her from the blinding sun. She looked off into the distant and small a figure. She could not make out who it was or what it was. As the figure got closer a hand grabbed her shoulder.

"But Elder Merody, I am not finished with my duty." Her words rushed out of her mouth as she was being pulled into the temple.

"You can finish it later, I have to keep to my duty."

"What duty is that?"

"Hush, child go to your room and await till I come and get you."

Serahphine sat on her bed and waited. It was growing late and she ended up falling asleep. Elder Merody came in real late and told her she could finish it the next day, but now she could rest. As she lies in bed she wondered whom it was. The director? A citizen? And she drifted off to sleep.

It had been 2 years since he lost his heart to the stranger.

He remembered the day well. A spectacular sun rode heavy in the sky, and Ben had left the house early, sneaking out quietly to avoid waking the household...if his Ma had caught him, his day would have been filled with chores, not love. Pocketing an apple, he dashed from the back door making a beeline for the forest's edge. He lost himself in the undergrowth, disappearing from sight.

Ben felt truly at home amongst the trees, the cool greens of the forest calming his soul, and allowing him the clarity he needed, to think about the things a sixteen year old man-boy would think of. He particularly liked climbing amongst the twisting branches, feeling the wind in his face and the rough texture of the bark in his hands. Ben's favorite spot was at the top of a small shrub-covered hill, in the webbed branches of a willow tree. From his perch, Ben could see the smoke rising from homes in the distance, as well as trace the roadwork with his eyes for miles.

He bit into his apple, and focussed in on the temple that stood clearly in the distance. Ben had never really paid heed to the holy structure until today. Framed in a doorway stood a raven-haired girl...woman, actually. She was looking around, almost nervously, and for the first time in his young life, he decided he liked girls. He watched her from afar, not really understanding what he was feeling, and not really caring. Suddenly, she darted inside the temple, the door shutting solidly behind her. It was if the lights had gone out, and the thunderstorm broke...it physically hurt the young man to see her walk away. He waited for hours, hoping to get another glimpse of her, to no avail.

That was two years ago.

Since then, Ben had continued to live his life as best he could. At first, he came back to his spot on a regular basis, believing that the black-haired beauty might reappear, but she never did. He stopped coming as often, but she never left his thoughts. Once, he thought he saw the back of her head near a window, but it was probably just wishful thinking. He became bolder, walking closer to the temple and trying not to look suspicious. He dreamed of her almost every night, which drove his desire even further. He realized that he had to see her again, if only to reaffirm his feelings for the stranger...and that's what she was: a stranger.

Ben was going to change that soon.

OOC: Sorry, had a busy friday and then I went out to the bars.

IC: Serahphine woke up at her normal time, when the sun struck her face. She walked over to the small window, only her face could be seen looking out of it. She looked over at the herrendous amount of work she had left to do. Why were those elders always causing her to be behind in her work. None of the other girls were and she was often looked down upon by them. She went through the same routine day in and day out, except for the minor details the elders changed on her. She sighed, just once I would like to go to the marketplace and look around. She had been three since the last time she was there that being before she went to the orphanage.

The sun beat down on Serahphines back. Little beads dripped down her face. She wiped the back of her hand across her forehead, smearing some dirt across it. She was almost done. She had done more than she had ever done in a day, it must have been the dream last night, even though it was so vague. All she could remember was a figure in a shape of a male standing a mile away and as he got closer to her she would wake up. The night had been a restless night, but she had all this energy.

Soft breezes came by and comforted her, she talked a lot to the winds, sending her hopes and dreams with them. She hoped this one would be sent and come true. She had cooled down considerably and returned to her work.

Several girls walked by whispering. Susie, the red headed girl, said rather loudly, "It is so nice to be able to go to town to walk around."

"Yes, indeed. It would be torture to not be able to go."

Giggles erupted and the wind carried it to her ears and slapped her in the face. Sometimes the wind coud change its tone so very easily.

Moments later it quieted down and whistled soflty in her ear. She did't cry, she wouldn't and now the wind held bitter truth for her. She would not get to see the town unless she did something about it. The wind comforted her, always sorry about its cruelity. The wind had many surfaces.

She bent her head and continued her work, while the sun started heading for the horizon.

Most claimed to have 'chaos' as a middle name, in Kelstar's case this was true...

A strapping Dark Argonian male with a taste for human women, Kel, as he was known, was right at home in most human settlements. He stood at around 6'3", with a powerful frame weighing around 233 lbs. The fin-ears that sprang from the sides of his head gave him the appearance of a black reptillian dog, with firey blue eyes... For some reason some human women found this appealing, and most where satisfied with his other characteristics as well...

Totally unaware of where he was going, Kel started up the steps to the temple, casting a wary eye about the area...

Susie and Merna were walking down the road, it was getting late, but they were going to the marketplace before it closed. They needed to run some errands.

Her shrill voice rose, "Hey there." She whispered, but not too softly, "Isn't he an interesting one. Very cute."

Merna in low set voice, "Indeed, but you want to talk to him? He looks all strong and stuff."

"Sure thing. I could do anything for one with muscles."

"Anything?"

"Anything."

"Meaning leave the temple?"

Susie's red hair bobbled with her head and she walked faster to the human lizard, she wasn't quite sure what to call him, but she knew he was hot to her.

"Hey, my name is Susie." Her words rushed out, "This is Merna. What are you up to? DO you want to join me? I am out running errands and maybe you could come back to the temple to rest."

Susie was known to babble and babble she did.

Serahphine heard the shrill laughter carried by the wind, must be Susie. I can't really miss that sound and not know it is her. Must be a man nearby that caused her to get her all wound up. Serahphine stood up and looked off in the direction of the two girls, she couldn't see them and she plopped down and continued her job and plucking weeds.

After many false starts, Ben finally found the bravery to approach the temple. He wasn't quite sure what he was going to do once he arrived, but he'd deal with that later. He had on his cleanest trousers and nicest tunic, and had actually shaved this morning, not that he really needed to. He had brushed the soft leather of his boots, giving them a lustrous look. His long brown hair was tied back, a few stray locks falling over his grey-green eyes.

As he approached the temple, he saw the massive man for the first time...or was it a man? Black-skinned and almost dog-like features dominated the creature, sitting atop a muscular form that looked like it could crush stone with ease. Ben hugged the wall behind him, not wanting the...monster...to see him. His breath caught when he realized the creature was entering the temple, and his thoughts were of the raven-haired girl who had captured his heart. The realization that she may be in danger made his blood run cold. Without considering his own safety, Ben ran quickly towards the entrance, not pausing as he cleared the front gate of the temple.

Standing at the base of the temple stairs was the man-beast, and he was not alone. Two young initiates were speaking with him, and Ben was relieved to see that his mystery girl was not one of them. Still, these two didn't seem to be aware of the danger they were in...they were chatting with the creature as if giant, black-skinned dog-men were a common occurence around here. Ben stayed in the shadows of the archway, watching the trio and considering what to do next.

Titian de Atherton rode wearily through the city, his tired gaze flicking right and left, as his horse moved. Dusty and exhausted from his travels, Titian rode slowly, yet impatiently, his high stepping horse moving gracefully through the streets. Clad in a simple homespun heavy tunic and pants, covered by a leather vest and a heavy cloak, Titian had been travelling for some time. Although the various street peddlers were eager to sell to this stranger, while the beggars were eager to receive handouts, the presence of the handle and hilt of a sheathed longsword and a heavy spear, easily visible, as Titian rode, drove them all away.

With a sigh of disgust, Titian shook his head, reining in his horse, as he gazed around, his worn, tired, yet still piercing eyes eating in the details of his new environment. The first thing he noticed was the presence of a temple. Being a deeply religious man, Titian smiled, hoping to seek solace from his long journey. Dismounting, Titian slowly led his horse towards the temple, his eyes fixated at the presence of a Dark Argonian. It had been years since, Titian last saw one of these species. With a sigh of weariness, Titian slowly approached...

Serahphine had plucked the last weed she could find in the garden. There I am all done. She sat and rested under the setting sun. This was her favorite time. The sun's rays not too warm, but painting various colours across the sky. No single sunset was the same to her. Serahphine looked up and saw Elder Merody. "Good evenin' Elder Merody. I am finished. May I reflect here on the day for a few moments in silence."

Elder Merody smiled and then her eyes frantically searched the surrounding. Her voice anxious, "My child, we must get inside."

Laughter from the distance reached their ears, stinging Serahphine's.

"They get to stay out. I do my job and I obey what is told to me by the elders. Yet, I do not understand why I do not have the same priveledges as the other girls do." If at all possible, Serahpine's eyes turned blacker and she frowned, not an normal occurrance for her.

"I cannot explain that at the moment. Trust me and the elders we do this for a reason." Her voice grave and hard.

Serahphine rose and Elder Merody escorted her inside. They did have to pass Kel and the two girls, but Serahphine was rushed and all they would see his her long hair flowing behind her, daring to follow her. Inside the temple they went and straight to her room.

She got up and starred out the window. She was in perfect view to watch the sun set and rise, a plus of her room being at the top. Tears flowed down her face. Why am I here?

Susie rolled her eyes. "I take it Serahphine must be scared."

Cruel laughter came from both girls and then they went back to their babble about Kel.

These two girls were so infatuated with Kel they did not notice the other two men arriving at the scene.

A falcon, sitting on a tree watched everything. It tilited it's head as it watched Serahphine walk inside. It's green cat-like eyes watched the other girls before it took off from the branch. It landed next to the steps. Noone had noticed it.

A man walked from side of the stairs, Roman Cyrus stood 5'11 with jet black hair, neatly combed. He wore a pair of black pants, red t-shirt, and a black trenchcoat. He put on a pair of dark sunglasses and made sure they covered his eyes. When he made sure of that he began to walk up the stairs.

They were pouring out of the woodwork now, strange men of all shapes and sizes. From behind Ben stepped a swordsman leading a horse, both of which seemed to be eyeing the black-skinned creature. Blinking his eyes, the young man noticed yet another stranger, who suddenly appeared out of nowhere near the stairs. Ben wasn't sure what was happening, but he did know it wasn't normal. As the man with the horse passed him, Ben nodded to him, smiling innocently.

"G'day, m'lord...peace to you." he bowed slightly, showing respect for the older, well-armed man. Ben fell into step beside him, walking together towards the stairs of the temple.

Kel was somewhat startled by the shrillness of the girl's laughter... Not good for a person of his profession... He shook his head...

"No, my dear... I have buisness at your temple that I must attend to, and I'm sure your higher-ups wouldn't appreciate you or I being late... Perhaps we will meet later. I bid you a fine day..."

Kel lightly patted her on the behind as he turned her around to send her on her way. The Dark Argonian smiled inwardly, unable to do so externally due to his lack of lips. He finished the final few steps to the temple doors, his clawed hands hesitating over the handles for a moment...

The girls stared at him longingly. They slowly turned as he entered the building.

The door open and elder Merody, a woman in her 70s that appeared in her 40s. She stood about five feet tall and was alittle husky, but for her age she was well in shape. Her face a long tan with several wrinkles by her eyes when she smiled and now she smiled. She patted her long red hair back, a nervous habit, into its tight bun. Her wide green eyes welcomed him. She opened the door wider and pulled him in.

Her voice firm, but understanding, "I see you have already meet Susie. She is quite the talker." Her eyes sparkled as for she could not say anything mean, she did not have the heart to do so.

"Follow me." She lead him to a nearby room, appeared to be a small office like space. Many books gathered on one table and a large journal placed beside them. A large black eagle feather laid across it and the writing appeared to be an ancient form of latin. She pointed to a wooden chair that had inscriptions carved into the backrest. They too were similar to the writing in the journal. While Elder Merody talked to Kel she scribbled on the yellow rough paper.

"We have been expecting you. We were told you were to be here around sunset. It is so nice when we have a time, so we can prepare."

Her smile faltered and her eyebrows furrowed, "ALthough, we were told of your arrival other things were left out conviently."

The smile returned, and a chuckle with her words, "I guess the oracles never like to give us too much information or we would never need to go back and see them. But please do inform us, so that we will prepare for that."

He watched as the older woman greeted the creature, welcoming him into the temple. Ben was shocked that they could let a monster into these sacred grounds, a veritable demon in their midst. Something was wrong about all this, and he looked at his new companion in confusion. The other man that had appeared had slipped past them all, and entered the temple...he was nowhere else to be seen. More than anything now, Ben wanted to get inside himself, with some strange notion of protecting the raven-haired girl from harm. How he would stop that monster from eating them all, he wasn't sure, but he knew that he had to do something. He picked up his pace, not caring if he left the man with the horse behind.

"Well, Roman, my name is Susie. I am one of the workers at the temple. Is there anything I can assist you on this day?" Her voice shrill, but much softer than normal. She looked him up and down, not caring to hide it. She returned to his face and smiled. Mysterious. Now, isn't that yummy.

She walked him towards the door and opened it. "We welcome all kinds here, but we feel we don't like secrets in our temple of divinity. First, Elder Merody will meet with you to discuss if there is anything we can do for you. Let me go get her. Stay right here please."

She didn't hurry off, but took calculated steps because she knew he would be watching her, who didn't. She disappeared for what seemed like a few minutes and was back again.

A smile plastered on her face, "It seems she is preoccupied with any person. She insists I keep you company. If you have any questions you are to direct them to me." Her smile widened.

Ben ran up the stairs, and almost into the arms of Susie, who was flirting up a storm with Roman. Apologetically, he backed up a step and smiled at them both.

"Uhmm...uh...hi. I...uhm...can I go inside? Y'know, to pray or something??"

Ben wasn't any good at trying to fool people, simply because he'd never had any practice. He had no choice but to try now, because every minute wasted was another minute the monster inside could start chomping on the raven-haired girl of Ben's dreams.

Llewyn had spotted the boy when he was walking, or sliding, down the wall to the temple entrance. She thought that he looked interesting enough, though he looked a few years younger than herself. She thought that she could have some fun. So she calculated out her plan. What boy in his right mind wouldn't want to talk to a beatiful girl with long, blonde hair. She had the kind of eyes you could get lost in, a deep crystal blue. They had hypnotized many men. Llewyn had been at the temple for a couple of weeks now and was learning how to be a good temple girl. It was new for her, but she enjoyed the people that passed through the temple. She was especially amazed my Elder Merody. She wondered what was her big story. There HAD to be something there, she thought to herself. She remembered what her mother had told her before she had died, All will reveal itself in good time, just give it the time. But that thought quickly fled her memory as she saw her chance to talk to the young man. He had ran into Susie, the temple loudmouth, and some strange man she had never seen before. But she had to act quick, no time to dwell on things of that nature. She dived into the seen, her silkiy blonde hair following her into the scene.

"Ah, excuse me, how may I help you?" she questioned the young man as she grabbed his arms. She flased a smile revealing her perfect teeth. She turned to Susie and flashed a quick smile as everything straighted out.

Ben thought his eyes would explode...the girl in front of him was stunningly attractive, her golden-blonde locks flowing gently in the breeze. The solid blue orbs that stared at him hinted of humor and deep passion. For a moment, just a moment mind you, he completely forgot about the dark-haired mystery woman that had captured his heart. He tried to reply to the girl, his eyes drifting down to her ample chest. He prepared his speech in his mind, bringing together every noble and upper-class word and phrasing he could think of...he knew a girl like this needed to be impressed immediately. Clearing his throat, he attempted to speak like a young Prince of Royalty.

"Bleargh...urg...uhm...erp...shmmoogum?" He watched himself from afar, stuttering and stumbling and sounding exactly like Briondo, the village idiot. His face reddened and he stopped, afraid to embaress himself further.

"Nice to meet you Susie." Roman said with a warm smile.

He noted her eyes had lingered on his dark glasses for a few seconds more than the rest of his body, he was very used to it. He turned and smiled inwardly when the other woman held the babbling man. He turned to Susie and held out his hand.

"You want to go for a walk and find a place where we can talk?"

Llewyn immediately picked up on the boy's timidness. She thought it was a good time to have her fun, they could "talk" more later. She was clearly aware of the assets she brought to the table, and was in no way ashamed of them. That is one reason why her righteous father sent her to this temple after her mother died. To serve the gods, he had said, but Llewyn knew better, he just didn't know how to deal with her, that was all. She was trying to make the best of it, and this young lad was making it even better.

"Whoa, don't hurt yourself," she said, "It's ok. What can I help you with? What is your name?" Llewyn was prepared to wait awhile for the boy to spill out his words in his slurred fashion.

"I know there is something I can do for YOU!" She whispered it in his ear as if she knew exactly what he was there for and she could give him his only desire. "Wait! Don't go!"

But by the time she spattered out her words, it was too late, he had already ran off. She thought about running after him, but thought better of it. He was a strange boy, she thought. The more she thought about it, the more she wondered what monster he had talked about. She hadn't seen a monster enter, and surely if one had Elder Merody, or one of the other elders, would have known about it, they knew everybody elses wherabouts. And surely if they knew, they would have done something about it. This sent shivers down Llewyn's spine, no wonder the boy was so jittery, he must have been scared out of his wits. Llewyn decided she would find one of the elders and ask them what they knew about this monster, and this strange boy Ben.

Titian sighed, accosted by the multitude of nimcompoops around him. With a weary roll of eyes, Titian ignored the presence of the others, although maintaining some level of attention upon the Dark Argonian, as he entered the Temple. Seeking to find a quiet place for himself to pray, Titian moved quickly, his great strides easily eating up the distances as he moved. Yawning to himself, Titian continued to move, uninterested in the lavish and sexual undertones evident in the construction. With a shake of his head, Titian stopped, his eyes riveted upon a statue at the end of the hallway. His eyes widening in surprise, Titian slowly found himself enamoured, the statue's presence slowly drawing him towards it, a pull that Titian found himself powerless to counteract. Closing his eyes, Titian tried to stop his forward movement, but even without visual contact with the statue, Titian could not stop...

Warily shaking his head, attempting to remove the influence upon his mind, Titian stared up at the statue, a beautiful bust of a female, standing tall. As his eyes drinking in the rich details of the body... For the first time in his life, Titian was in love... But not in love in the rich, sensual sense, but in love with a lifeless object... A statue... Dropping his sheathed sword to the ground, Titian kneeled, paying homage to the power and beauty of the tremendously emotional work of art in front of him...

"Elder Junas! Elder Junas! I need a word with you!" shouted Llewyn at a small shriveled woman, whose white hair was pulled firmly back into a tight circular bun. She had ran the length of the temple to find the woman, and now she had.

"Why in Divinity's name are you yelling!" said the old women in her slow, melodic voice.

"I need a word with you! As of late, I've been talking to a young man. He informed me of some sort of 'beast' that has made entry of the temple! Do you know of any such monster!"

"Calm, child, calm! All is well! The elders and I are informed of this 'beast' you speak of, though I can assure you he is no beast."

"Then what was the boy saying about a monster?

"Monsterish qualities may grace the man's appearance, but that does not mean he is in fact a monster."

"What do you know of this man?"

"So many questions, Llewyn, but I shall answer only what I know."

With that the small woman sat down the basket of herbs she was carrying and led Llewyn to a bench next to the temple wall.

"The oracles told us of a Argonian man who would be arriving this evening at sunset. They said that he was to be our new director."

"Our new director!"

"Yes, but that is all we know of the situation, the oracles would tell us nothing else. Elder Merody is meeting with him as we speak."

"A thoudsand thanks, Elder Junas!" Llweyn just managed to say as she jumped off the bench, heading toward the depths of the temple.

OOC: I don't know if WA's character is our director, please do not jump to conclusions. Hey, Gawdly you crack me up, which is good after a stressful week at school and both jobs. Your character and Sonorus Capita is cute together. Oh, Sonorus Capita, I am having Elder Junus respond to you just because I am not sure if he is the director or not. Thanks. BTW I am going out of town until Sunday, so if y'all wait for me that would be great or just don't post so much so I can catch up. thanks.

IC: Elder Junas, usually a quiet reserved woman yelled at Llewyn. "Child, I must have lost a marble. I am not sure he is our director, it is just a hunch. Please, refrain from telling the other women this. Also, do not frighten them by telling them that a "monster" is in the temple. You should know we would never allow that."

Elder Junas got up and headed off in the opposite direction. There is a matter I must check on she thought. Worries clouding up the converstation. Serahphine.

-----------------------------------------

Susie smiled at Llewyn, she understood exactly what the other girl was doing, she jsut didn't know why pick a man so young. She thought he would be perfect for their youngest lady, but she was not allowed to see any men. A laugh almost exploded through her pursed lips, but instead she looked to the mysterious man and said, "Follow me."

She lead him down a long dim corridor into a small room that contained only pillows scattered amoung the dimensions. The lighting was three candles and the wicks dripped to the cold ground. She patted at a nearby pillow motioning for him to sit down next to her.

She said in a husky low voice, "What would you like to talk about?"

-------------------------------

Anxious. Antsy. Bored. This is all the things I feel right now. Serahphine walked up to the door and pressed her ear against it to hear any voices. Good, none. She cracked her door open, enough for her slim body to get through and walked into the hallway. A smile crossed her face. Freedom, for once. She walked a bit down the hallway and then stopped suddenly. She heard heavy pounding as if someone was running in her direction (Ben...if this is okay with you Gawdly). She thought, it can't be a women because we are not allowed to run in here. An emergency, she would have heard the alarm. A man? She never heard a man's footsteps before. She paused. The sound was getting closer and closer. Next thing she knew was a hand covering her face and pushing her into the nearby closet for their coats. She heard a voice of an older woman, it was Elder Junas.

"Elder Junas, why? I don't understand." Seraphine's muffled voice called out, as she pounded on the closet door.

"Hush, child...Sir, why are you running? We do not permit running in our temple. It causes chaos. Please, state who you are and what is your purpose here. So, that I may assist you in any way I can."

Serahphine sighed loudly. Sir. She stopped pounding and was quiet. She understood now. Silence beckoned from inside the dark closet.

Llewyn just barely heard what Elder Junas had said. That old woman, she thought, is always forgeting things. She slowed herself down to a walk, if an elder caught her running, she would be in grave trouble. She slowly opened a highly ornate wooden door. There were carvings of women and trees all over it. The grandest carving on the door was of a beautiful women, Diva, the goddess this temple was dedicated to. She slowly walked down the rich terra cotta floor, inhaling the incense deep into her lungs. She heard the sounds of chants of praise all around her. She found herself an altar and lit the incense that was there. She slowly recited a chant in the language of Diva. Then she fell to her knees, praying to the gods to show her what she needed to do. In her mind an image slowly started to unravel itself. It was a girl, she had long, black hair. The girl turned her face and Llewyn was staring into the eyes of a face she knew all to well. Seraphine. Llewyn quickly got up and left the inner temple through a back door. She found herself in a dark corridor. She started down the corridor in a fast pace walk. She turned a corner, and there, a couple of feet in front of her was Elder Junas and Ben.

"Elder Junas! Where's Seraphine?"

Roman smiled at Susie as he sat in a pillow next to her. He found her very attractive, smart, and like most women he met, liked the mystery that surrounded him. One reson is that he never seemed to remove his sunglasses, which were still on him as he spoke to Susie.

"I've been having a stressful time and came to find someplace to relax and let the world off my shoulders for a while. This temple was recommended to me and I think they were understating this temple's beauty, and they never told me that attractive women such as yourself worked here. What is it that you do?"

When he first entered the temple through the massive front doors, Ben was virtually blind, his eyes adjusting from the bright sunlight to the dimness of the hall. He stopped suddenly, waiting for his vision to clear. As it did, the young man began to notice the artwork and delicately engraved walls. His eyes widened when he realized that much of it depicted incrediblyattractive women in various stages of undress. He studied them briefly...then studied them yet again. After another minute of studying, his face began to hurt from smiling, and the pain jogged his memory...the MONSTER!

Now that he had come this far, Ben began to have doubts about his hasty decision. What exactly would he do IF he actually caught up to the demon? Certainly, Ben was no coward, and he was a tall and well-built lad as well...but that black-skinned man-beast was intimidating. Still, his heart was stronger than his fear, so he bolted down the hallway, searching desperately for the raven-haired dream that had haunted his thoughts. Turning a corner, he almost collided with the woman who was standing there, talking to a closed door. Ben smiled at her apologetically, and bowed his head to her.

"My apologies, Sister. I mean, Mother. Heh. Uhm, sorry for the running, but...well...I was worried for the safety of you and the other Mothers." She was looking at him as if he'd just sprouted a second head. Ben stood tall, assuming what he hoped was a very manly and heroic pose.

"There is a monster in your midst, Mother...and I, Benjamin Fanfanir, stand ready to defend you!"

That sounded right, and suitably brave. Perfect timing as well, because Llewyn chose that exact moment to arrive. She WAS gorgeous, thought Ben, smiling shyly at the young woman who had flirted outrageously with him...at least, he thought she had: he never really experienced "flirting" before.

When she spoke the name "Seraphine", Ben immediately knew she was asking about the black-haired girl he was searching for.

"Seraphine," the young man thought to himself, "the girl of my dreams."

Hassamu let out a deep sigh as he looked at the temple. He usually tried to stray as far away as possible from taking something from someone without paying them back. But in this case, he didn't have anything to give anybody, so it was either ask to sleep in the temple, or sleep in the street tonight.

"Perhaps...I can ask to do some chores or something." He thought as he walked towards the temple entrance, both of his blades sheathed safely inside his long coat, his pale eyes scanning the temple. Upon entrance, he began seeking one of the elders of the temple to ask permission to stay for the night.

"Ahh, Ben, how pleasant to see you!" exclaimed Llweyn as she noticed the boy she had talked to earlier. She thought he looked rather silly, standing there with his chest puffed out like he just saved the day. It almost made her laugh, but then she remembered the reason she had come.

"Elder Junas!" she said, in the direction of the shriveled lady, as she pulled her closer. "Where is Seraphine? Is she in trouble?" whispered Llewyn into the ears of the elder.

"Child, not in the presence of him. You know she is not allowed. She is in hiding." whispered the elder back to the young beauty. She hit the side of Llewyn's robe and pointed her eyes toward the closet where Serapine was waiting. Elder Junas nodded her head and then turned back to the young man.

"Yes, Benjamin, you should not be down this far into the temple! These are the living quarters, off-limits to civilians!" Elder Junas informed the young man, "Follow me, back into the main temple, there we shall discuss these matters further." She walked foward, grabbing his arm and walking with him down the corridor.

Llewyn went to the closet and opened the door.

"Come, Seraphine, let us go back to your room now."

As the Elder frog-marched Ben down the hall, holding his arm with a steely, unbreakable grip, he looked back at Llewyn, catching her eye and smiling at her. She seemed so full of life and energy, he thought to himself, wishing his heart had not been spoken for. She seemed to like him as well, a pleasant surprise for the young man. He noticed that she had opened the door the Elder had seemed to be guarding before, and spoke to the person hidden within. Ben's curiousity was peaked, and he vowed to return here at his earliest opportunity.

The Elder was not interested in conversation as she gave Ben the bum's rush, and any other mention of the dark-skinned, man-monster that had invaded the temple went unnoticed by her. She left him at the front entrance, admonishing him to never enter that part of the temple again. She pointed out the general hall, where supplicants were allowed to go and pray. Turning, she gave Ben a last withering glance, and returned to the darkness of the dim hallway.

Ben stood, watching the arrival of more people in the distance. He looked around, hoping the Llewyn would appear again, her smiling face and sparkling eyes bringing warmth to him. This time, Ben decided he would ask her about the black-haired girl...maybe she had some answers?

"I'm not fond of loud noises, as my hearing is quite acute. Other than that, I am much like any human, minus the obvious..."

The Dark Argonian shook the hand of the woman, now aware of why he had come here. Slowly, he wheeled around on a scaly heel & made his way back to the main doors. His head was very lizard-like, very angular with a blunt snout & a thin mouth with a jaw that came out of the bottom of his head, like that of any lizard. His tongue was not forked, contrary to common belief, but was rough like that of a cat's. Sharp, pearly teeth glimmered faintly when he spoke, contrasting sharply with the charcoal black of his scales. Kelstar's stomach rumbled behind his toned abdominals, hidden by a neat tunic of midnight blue, with a matching set of pants. Hopefully there was an eatery of some kind nearby...

"Monster!"

Was the word that greeted him as he heaved the doors open...

"What's all this about a monster? Such things are born of childish fear..."

IC: Serahphine's dark eyes widened as Llweyn opened the door and she heard the man say,"Girl of my dreams."

Endless emotions stirred in her head, she then felt numb. "Llweyn, what exactly is going on?"

She grabbed Llweyn by the shoulders, but softly. Her knees felt weak and as if she couldn't stand on her own two feet. They felt alien and lard-like.

Words rushed out of her mouth, "I was walking down the corridor...then I heard someone...next I was in a closet and Elder Junas was talking to someone. Who is this man? Why is he searching for me?" A looked played with two dominant emotions; fright and excitement.

-----------------------------------

Susie giggled to show him she was enjoying herself. She played with her hair a bit. "Well, we are picked sometimes, like Serahphine or we, ourselves ask to be let in here by personal reasons. Like me for instance to get away from my abusive step-father." A frown pushed the large smile away and her eyes began to water.

She placed her head on his shoulder and a secret smile came across her face as he comforted her. Point one. She sobbed and then said between cries, "I am sorry...I do not like to talk...aaaabout it...sniffle...sniffle...Sometimes it just gets to me....sniffle...but I was lucky to get into here...I serve the Goddess Diva and work for the elders....that is just a short version of it..."
She moved her neck closer and closer into the centre of his body, hearing his heart beat. She placed her hand upon it. "Why what did you think we did?"

------------------------------------

Elder Merody frowned. Monster. The word was so cruel and inhumane. She looked over at Kel, she knew he could read her disappointment.

"Sir, I do apologize, sometimes our woman have not encountered someone of your species and jump to conclusions. I am gratefull to the gods of above that you came." Her voice becomming stern.

"The woman need to be more open to different species. We must practice and show openess to all. Harmony to all. They are so young it takes years of prayer and solitude even to understand fully how to be accepting of all. No matter what. I do hope you will assist me in educating all of our girls."

Swallowing hard, "I mean most of our girls." Elders did not lie. At this moment Elder Junas appears in the room.

She looks to Kel and smiles softly, wrinkles forming around her soft eyes. "Welcome, sir. If you do not mind I need to inform Elder Merody of an incidence. It will only take, but a moment."

She whispers into elder Merody's ear and her faces contorts to almost horror, but a mere acceptance covers the other emotion. She nods to Elder Junas. It was time all the elders discussed what further implications they must take to secure the safety of Serahphine's purity. They were so close and yet so far. They walked a thin wire and it could easily break. An meeting was arranged to be while the girls prayed the serenity prayers in less than half an hour.

"Kel, let me show you where you can stay. I will be free later in the evening to discuss anything more you would like. I have an meeting to organize. Excuse me for my hast." With that she left Kel to think. She hurried over to her other office and prepared for the meeting to be held sortly.

Roman held Susie and rocked her gently as she sniffled a little more. He spoke in a quiet, soothing voice as he looked at her through his dark glasses.

"Its alright, nooone is forcing you to talk about that. Leave it be."

Roman didn't know about having abusive parents, he didn't come from an abusive household, but he had seen some of his friends who had abusive parents. It disgusted him how someone could beat a child. He held her close as he thought how best to answer her question, and not offend her.

"I really had no idea what you do here. I've traveled a great deal and have seen many temples of different religions and sects. Though some are bound by a common religion, each is different in it's own way. I didn't make any assumptions on what you did here, because I thought I might offend someone."

"Calm down, Seraphine, calm down. I don't think I should tell you much, but I am able to say that the man is, well, very......jittery." Llewyn tried to explain. It was hard trying to explain a creature as complex as a man to a girl who had never even seen one. Llewyn didn't know if she should even be telling her about the man, she wasn't sure if that would disrupt her purity. Llewyn started to rethink telling her anything at all. The elders might get angry, she didn't know what they would do to her, she had never crossed one before.

"Seraphine, I can't tell you any more about this man. In fact, I don't know much about him at all." she said. "Before you ask anything, lets go to your room, we can talk about other topics there, safely."

They walked into Seraphine's room. Seraphine sat in a chair facing the window. Llewyn pulled a chair up behind her. She grabbed Seraphine's hair brush and a few ribbons.

"Let me braid your hair before we go to the inner temple for our serenity prayers." said Llewyn.

As Ben stood in the entrance hall, his eyes roving over the scantily-clad sprites dancing on the walls, he noticed the noble he had seen earlier now prostrating himself before a statue of a beautiful woman...a beautiful, NAKED woman. Ben thought that he should investigate further, as he was really unsure of what naked breasts looked like.

He approached the statue and the man from behind, his eyes locked on the twin joy-pillows aimed in his direction. He barely noticed the shout of objection as he walked into, and tripped over, the kneeling man. Ben went tumbling into the statues pedestal, all gangly arms and flailing legs. The bust of the woman began to teeter from the blow, threatening to topple over at any moment. Ben and the stranger looked at each other, then back up to the wobbling statue. At that moment, it fell.

An instant before it smashed into the ground, the stranger was there. He had moved with great speed, so great that Ben had not even noticed it. One moment, he was lying in a tangle with him, the next he was alone on the ground, and the noble stood proudly, cradling the statue of the beautiful woman in his strong arms. Ben looked up at him sheepishly.

From this angle, Ben realized that the Elder had a very lovely shape for a woman who was old enough to be his mother. The look on her face brought him back to the problem at hand, so he scrambled to his feet, dusting himself off to gain a few seconds. Think, dang it, THINK! thought Ben, trying to come up with an excuse that would satisfy the angry and busty woman. Wow, she must do yoga or something, Ben considered, tilting his head to get a better look at the temple Mother. He shook his head, and stuttered out a reply.

"Ma'am...I came here to...find myself, my spiritual calling...and I want to pray and relieve my spirit in the warm busom of your Goddess's...uhm...Holy and Very Understanding gaze...ma'am."

He glanced at the Elder, who was watching him with an unsure look, not sure whether to believe the young lad. Still, this was a temple, open to all who would seek sanctuary...out of the corner of his eye, Ben watched the stranger he had tripped over earlier, replace the naked bust on the pedestal, moving with utmost care and respect. Ben turned back to the Elder, and smiled his most innocent, contrite smile he posessed.

"Ma'am, I just need to pray a bit, and make a donation of course...and then, I would like to offer my services to help fix some things around here...that part of the wall is crumbling, there by the main gate, and all that firewood need's to be cut and stacked...well, ma'am, I figger you could use a strong back to take care of that hard, hard labor?" "Calm down, Seraphine, calm down."

Serahphine cocked her head at the girl talking to her. Llewyn, sometimes exaggerated on things. I am really calm. I am always calm, well, except for the fact I almost meet a man. The thought made her face glow red and her temperature rise. She blinked several times, what am I thinking? I will never see one.

Llewyn could help her. One perfect eyebrow arched at the girl in front of her. "Llewyn, do you want to help me?"

Her voice got quieter. "Can you find out from the Elders why I am not allowed to see any men. I am not a bad girl, I do my work like you all do. Why am I the only one who cannot. Maybe my soulmate is out there and I will never find him cause those older women will not let me for some unknown reason to me."

"Have you ever wanted something so bad, without ever seeing it?"

Her eyes widened. "It reminds me of my dedication to the gods and especially to Goddess Diva. I have never seen them, but I devote my life and my work to them. I make these sacrifices, but for what? They can take my health, my beauty, and my intelligence. I just want to have my soul and to see a man."

Ben noticed the stranger approaching as the Elder wagged an unhappy finger at him. Was the newcomer a bouncer, or temple security? Then he looked closer, seeing the man's weather-beaten travel clothes, and realized he was just a supplicant here, much like himself. Ben ignored him, bowed to the Elder, and responded with a calm and gentle voice.

"My thanks, Mother...errr....Sister. I know where the main temple is, and these two look like they need your help more'n me!" said Ben, indicating the two men who stood near her. As he pointed at them, he took the opportunity to slip away, jogging lightly towards the temple doors.

"Thanks again Sis...Mom...arrrgh...THANKS!" he said, leaping up the stairs and back into the darkness of the temple. He saw the entrance leading to to the inner temple, and noticed a few other people inside, some already praying. On the opposite side of the entrance stood the hallway that Ben had taken before, the one with the famous talking closet. He considered both paths briefly, and decided he really wanted to see what was behind door #1. He turned quickly and moved down the hall.

After a moment, his eyes adjusted to the gloom, and he continued quietly down the long hall. Suddenly, he heard soft voices coming from around the corner, and he recognized Llewyns humorous tones. He peeked around the corner and saw her telltale blond hair. She was talking to another person, a girl who was hidden by the long shadows in the corridor. She was ready to explode, she was starting to feel sick. Llewyn was about to tell Seraphine everything she knew when she heard a familiar voice coming from somewhere behind her. It was Ben. He ran directly to the fallen girls side, ignoring her companion. Llewyn was lovely in repose, her soft lips pursed and her young but well-formed breasts heaving in and out, following the movement of her breaths. Ben fanned the young girl with his hanky, trying to get fresh air to her. He thought about kissing her, which always seemed to work for the Prince in the fables. Since he was not a Prince, and this was cold, hard reality, he tried the next best thing.

"Don't just stand there...get some cold water!" he spoke loudly to the other person still standing there. He noticed they still hadn't moved, so he looked upward, hoping to use his eyes as intimidation. Instead, he was struck silent, the vision of his dreams standing directly in front of him. The girl with the raven-hair! His heart started to beat rapidly, pounding at the thin material of his tunic. He tried to speak, but nothing but an unintelligible gurgle came out. He had imagined this moment a million times, and every action he wanted to say and do had been meticulously planned out. All this fell by the wayside as his vision darkened.

Kelstar's quarters where spartan, just as he desired them... The warrior-turned-monk shrugged the obsidian-forged longsword from his shoulder, leaning the sheathed weapon against his cot-like bed...

'This will be a new expeirence... I'm now head of a convent of seemingly nymphonic young girls... May Makaal or Diva or whoever I supposedly serve now help me...'

Kelstar thought as he seated himself on the bed, the matress not giving an inch under his weight. He tightened the black sash that encircled his waist, trying to stop his stomach from its audiable groaning. Luckily, there was a bowl of fruit in his quarters. The new director contented himself with a bright red apple. While it wasn't his first choice, one couldn't be too picky when one was new to an area...

At the moment she watched Llweyn drop to the ground in slow motion, but too fast for her to react. There was a thud and then all she saw was black, with light in the backround. She couldn't see, but she could hear. A male vioce, which she assumed to be male, came to here ears. Something about getting water. Serahphine couldn't react. She couldn't see. She was "freakin out". Her breathing increased, along with her heart beat. Memories floated into her head....

Elder Merody's face came infront of her vision. "Child why do you question about men. When the chance comes to meet one you will not see them."

Silence. "Why you ask? Because my fellow elders have put a protection over you."

Vision fades...

Protection? From what? Now, all she heard was silence.

Did they both faint? She knelt down to where she had heard Llweyn fall. She felt the girl and felt that she was breathing. On top of her fellow friend the male was sleeping. She rolled him off of the girl.

Once she knew the girl was still okay. She touched the man. She felt his face. Smooth and alittle rough at the same time. Odd. She ran her fingertips over his lips. Moist and warm, slightly open to allow oxygen in. She then slide her hands over his neck and downward. Men did not come equiped with the same anatomy as females and for this she was happy. He was solid and firm. Her fingers loved the ripple of his muscles and a smile fromed on her face. She continued downward and found his navel. She cirlced around it and her eyes widened. She was getting lower and then she stopped. She felt him shift under her weight.

She was still as a board.

Pink covered her cheeks. She just wish she could see his face.

Roman smiled at her through his dark sunglasses. He took off his coat and tossed it behind him as he kissed her on the lips. He held her close before pulling his lips back. Roman removed his glasses to reveal deep emerald green eyes, though his were different, his pupils were cat-like. Suse smiled at this, she did not know they weren't contacts, they were his real eyes.

He looked down at Susie before once again planting his lips onto hers. His hand moved to her waist and began to help her remove her clothes.

Ben was floating on a purple ocean, the beautiful Amazon twins fanning him with palm leaves. The birds were singing his favorite song, and the smell of succulant roast pig filled the air. He was at peace, and all was good in his world. Suddenly, it got better: Seraphine was walking towards him, her beautiful body glowing in the midday sun. That she was naked made it only better. She stepped up to him, put a finger on his lips to prevent any words from breaking the spell, and began to caress him. He noticed that he was also naked. As her hands sank lower, the birds began singing louder and he saw a flag being raised on his ship. A red flag. He awoke suddenly, an embaressing and painful hardness in his "manly" region. As his vision cleared, he saw that his erotic dream had been partially true: the raven-haired beauty that stole his heart, the one he thought was called "Seraphine", was kneeling over him, running her hands over his body, pausing and lingering down THERE.

He was either going to die of shock, or have an unfortunate accident. He reached down, gripping her hand to stop its increasingly enjoyable movements, and smiled up at her.

"If you're looking for my coin-purse, its in the other pocket." Humor had always worked with the village girls, and he hoped that would hold true here.

Hassamu was a bit taken aback by Elder Junas's...calmness to someone just fainting dead away. It took him a second to realize that not many normal people traveled as much as he did, thus weren't as used to weather as he was...it took another second for him to realize that Elder Junas had left before he could ask whether he could stay or not. Hassamu sighed and stood up. "I should find her..." He said as he started walking athrough the temple. Eventually, he came upon a door that was opened. "Perhaps she is in here..." He said, and opened the door wide enough to go inside. When he went in, he saw a young man and woman, both obviously younger than him, on the ground.

Llwyn found herself standing next to a fire. Her body perspiring heavely. She was looking into the faces of the elders. The were throwing stones at her and shouting curses, she could feel the faint pain as the rocks hit. She was crying and saying she hadn't meant for it to happen and that she was sorry. Elder Merody ran up to her and grabbed her by the hair. She shouted something Llewyn couldn't understand. Then the other elders approached. The started to push her towards the fire, and as she got closer, she got hotter. Then she fell into the fire, her skin burning. She was screaming as the elder watched her burn.

Llweyn slowly started to wake up. Her whole body covered with perspiration. Her usually pale skin was glowing red. She could barely breath. Her chest has heaving up and down. She tried to sit up, but she fell back down.

Tears welled up in Susie's eyes. A smile wet with the tears, her teeth white were sparkling from the crystalline tears. "I am not a virgin anymore. I am done working here. I am free to go." She paused. She looked up at him. She bite down on her teeth, indenting her lower lip and turning it white.
"I afraid though I will have nowhere to live. What am I supposed to do? I cannot live here anymore, I am not pure. The elders will know when they see me. Help me."

She pulled her hands back, embarrassed and angry at her actions. A pure woman does not act that way. She sat silent. Maybe the vision impairment would subside.

As she made her way through the crowded inner sanctuary of the temple, Elder Junas couldn't stop thinking about the strange feeling she had. Something felt amiss. The elder wasn't quite sure what was wrong though, the gods weren't that kind. She kneeled down at an altar, hoping to get an answer from her patron godess, Diva. She lit the incese and chanted a couple of words in an arcane language. She then kneeled to her knees and started to pray. Tears filled her deep green eyes as she asked the godess for guidance. Junas raised herself to a standing posotion before leaving the inner sactuary. She viewed a few of the busts and statues along her route, making sure that they were all in tip-top shape. When she rounded a corner, the red-headed Susie came into view. She was with a mysterious looking boy, Just like her, thought Elder Junas.

But something wasn't right with the usually bubbly red-head. Junas could see the luster of the girl was gone. Her whole aura had been changed since the last time Junas had seen her. The elder decided to investigate. She walked up to the girl she once knew.

"Susie, may I talk to you, in private." She said, while glaring at the stranger with the young temple girl.

Their eyes were locked, the words passing between them unspoken, unbidden, unending. She was even more beautiful than he could ever have hoped, and she was here, now, warm in his hand and close to his heart. He felt so full that he thought he would explode, and when he looked down, he realized he almost HAD. He smiled at Seraphine, and without speaking, leaned forward to gently brush her lips with his. At her touch, he could no longer contain himself as his body rebelled, and the cannons fired without warning, blinding him with passion and ecstasy.

Redness flushed his cheeks, and wetness flooded his trousers. Still, he was amazed (and somewhat proud) to realize that he still felt as inflamed with desire for Seraphine as before. With a start, Titian de Atherton awoke, perspiring and breathing heavily. Blinking in the semi-darkness of the room, Titian shook his head, attempting to shake the physical exhaustion from his mind, endeavoring to free himself in a sense from the weakness within his body. With a sigh, Titian swung his legs off of the beg, dropping them onto the ground. By the gods that watch our lives… I am sore… What the hell happened? All I remembered was some idiot falling over my head… Shivering inexplicably, Titian closed his eyes. Ye gods… Where am I? With quivering muscles, Titian managed to rise and with small cautious moved towards the door, his eyes fiery as he maintained his determination. After discovering that he was still at the temple, Titian trembled markedly. By the gods that watch our lives, why am I here? Is there a meaning for the presence of a warrior priest in such a place of sanctity?

With a sigh of acceptance, Titian turned back and walked to the bed, buckling his sword belt and his sheathed sword. With a weary groan, Titian stepped into his heavy hunting boots and turned with a determination frequently exhibited by the warrior priests of Atherton priesthood. As he stalked noiselessly and warily through the ancient halls of the temple, Titian swiftly ate in the details of his environment, subconsciously preparing for any conflict that could happen. As his eyes flickered tensely, never settling on anything for more than a moment. Suddenly, Titian remembered his horse, left tethered at the foot of the steps in front of the temple. With a murmur of annoyance, Titian swiftly diverted his attention to trying to get out of the labyrinth layout of the temple.

IC: Elder Junas couldn't fathom anyone with such eyes as this man did. No wonder Susie couldn't resist. But she was torn away from the eyes with another question from Susie.

"I am Elder Junas, priestess to the godess Diva, second in command of this temple." stated the aging woman in a harsh voice as she glared at the man, "And with that authority comes some descretion on my part. I know what you have done with this Roman, Susie." She let out softing her voice as she turned her gaze to the girl. Elder Junas was trying to find her words. She wasn't angry at Susie, but the man was an entirely differrent story. The last thing she wanted to do was to kick the girl on the street, but she had forfeited her purity to the man. When she finally found her words she spoke directly to Susie, ignoring to man.

"Susie, You must leave the temple. I understand what you did, but by doing it in the temple you could have possibly upset the godess, or even disrupted the purity of all the girls. The power you held was very great, and releasing it unto a place like this, I shudder to think."

Llewyn could hear voices but she was still weak as she finally propped herself on the wall. She pushed her golden locks out of her face as she tried to see what was before her. But the images were still blurry. She tried to remember the last thing to happen, but the pain in her head was just too great. She decided to ask for help from whomever was talking.

Ben was confused. Seraphine had just said "You must lead me out of here. I cannot see and we do not want Elder Junas to see us." Now she was acting as if she didn't want to leave. The sudden appearance of the man had given Ben a small heart-attack, but he quickly composed himself when the man turned to leave. Turning back to the young woman, he spoke quietly.

"Listen...you know this place better than I...where do you want to go?" He didn't have to add that he'd follow her anywhere, even to the hellish pits of Hades...his eyes made his message clear.

Serahphine stopped. This was it. This was her decision or was it? She was so confused. It was by chance that she came to this temple or was it? So many questions whipped through her mind she couldn't keep track of them. So many times had the teachers at her orphanage tell the kids that the gods and goddesses hand-picked the children of them. She never quite understood that. Something about fate and destiny. If what her teachers said were true than everyone would be hand-picked. She did not like to discuss this and she always pushed it to the dark corners of her mind.

Now, she could leave and go where? She didn't know. She could stay, but not know anything of what life was out there. She would be blind eitherway.

Her voice struggled, she struggled. "I...I...jusst," sighs, "don't know what to do anymore."

She looked up to where the ceiling would be and she felt the sunlight and its rays. She knew where they were at, somehow they had wondered into the temple and she was directly below the opening.

Llewyn saw two blurry figures going in the direction of the inner temple. Her head wass wirling around in confusion, and anger. She was angry at herself for allowing what had happened, angry at whoever had left her, angry at Seraphine and Ben. But angriness doesn't always come alone, there is usually sadness, too. She was sad, and even a bit scared of what had happened.

Deep inside, Llewyn could feel the change in the temple. The purity of the temple's girls had started to be unraveled, one thread at a time. Llewyn couldn't help but think that the Goddess had done this on purpose, maybe they had donw something wrong. Llewyn started praying to Diva more fervently and passionately than ever before. As she wept over her prayers, Llewyn miraculously started to regain her strentgh. It felt as if the Goddess herself had wiped Llewyn clean of all ailments.

Kelstar returned to his quarters to retrieve his sword... It was nearing late noon, his usual hour of training...

The warrior positioned himself in the courtyard, drew his blade with a slight flourish, and began his series of drills... Anything from simple cuts & hacks to elaborate combinations combined with hard-hitting kicks & vicious hand techniques designed to stun or debilitate an opponent for a follow-up strike with his blade.

Oddly, this dance of death was as graceful & pleasing to the eye as it was lethal to an opponent...

Kel's blade sang with each slice, his trouser leg snapping like a whip with each kick... He was completely focused now, to him there was nothing around him, save himself & his weapon...

Serahphine smiled sweetly. "Ben, I understand you would like me to stay with you. I want to also. I want to wake up with the sun's rays beaming on my face with warmth, right next to you. To feel your body's warmth against mine, something I have never felt before."

She blinked, she could feel several cold tears make a trail down her face and off of her chin. She still couldn't see and she treasured her sight. "I have a duty and that is all I know. I do not know what the world has to offer me and I won't even be able to see it."

"I can't even see you..."

She rested her head on his chest and listened to his heart beat and it seemed that theirs beated as one.

He was losing her, before he really had her. Ben could see in Sera's eyes, and he could see the resolve within them. She would not leave with him, though it meant saying goodbye to her new heart. There was only one thing to do then, one action that might ensure that she would still be near him...he would have to convince the Elder to give him work here, in the Temple. With new energy, he brought his face close to hers.

"Alright...I'll respect your duty. You should get back to your room, before the Elder finds us. I'll...I'll talk to her, and try and work something out." Ben pulled her even closer, smelling her excitement, her fear and...HER. She was a sweet scent in his soul, and he knew now, that he could never let her go.

"I don't know you, Seraphine...but I know I love you. I can wait for you." Reaching down, he found her lips in the dark, and lightly embraced them, drawing the strength needed from her. He turned away regretfully, and went off in search of the Elder that would decide his fate.

( OOC: I thought I had forgotten something. Sorry. I'm a bad boy. ._. )

IC: As Hassamu left Gawdly and Seraphine to continue searching for one of the elders of the temple, he came upon an intresting sight. He saw a girl that was either lost in thought, or had fallen in to a trance of some sort. Hassamu's eyes travled in the direction of what she was looking at...and saw that she was observing what appeared to be a man doing a dance with his blade. Hassamu blinked a couple times, and realized that it was in fact, not a normal man. "Intresting..." He mumbled to himself, and decided to watch this before he continued his search.

Serahphine giggled and then spoke softly to Ben. "I would definitely love for you to work here. Let us hope you can. I would, also, love to go back to my room, but it seems I still cannot see and you will have to help me there."

His heart began pounding in his chest...Sera wanted him to come to her room? Her bedroom?? He considered his options, comparing the relative merits of finding an Elder and trying to convince them to hire him, versus bringing a beautiful woman to her bedroom. His groin beat his mind handily, and he took Seraphine's arm in his, leading her out of the darkness towards the dusky light of the hallway. He moved north, away from the temple entrance, assuming that the dorm rooms would be located in the back of the large building. Sera's scent tingled in his nose as he led the way.
