Dimplomatic relations are hanging by a thread now that the Armed Republic of Sino a prominent Nationstate of China declares Zhejiang to be under it's jurisdiction. The Republic of Zhejiang issued this formal reply to Chinese News Agencies.
_____________________________________________________

Sorry Sino - acording to international law the Zhejiang province isn't China's until 2030. And you will pay dearly for every square meter that you take before then if you chose to invade.

The Luna I - Zhejiang defense initiative will commence immediately with the fortification of our borders and the maintainence of an aerospace buffer zone over Zhejiang using International Fleet resources.

Please do not turn this into a defacto state of war - we will not roll over and play Hong Kong here.

The People's Constitutional Government of China wishes Zhejiang to remain with Sino. We, a huge ally og Sino's will not recognise an Independent province. Any further actions against Sino's claims will be met by international laws which were adopted by every Asian Country there is.

The old days of taxation without representation in order to feed the Sino and northern chinese war machines is over. Your token, faux reforms have made no diference to the people of Zhejiang, and we are not fooled at what being a province of China means - we are free - and will remain free - pass your laws. Most of our trade is at the international level anyway - we have tasted the true freedom of democracy giving way to true progress - if we cannot have this within a unified china then we must declare our Independance & suffer what we must in the name of our god given freedoms.

OOC 2: Besides, you obviously have no understanding of China, the culture or the current NS situation that I RP. So piss off before the ignore cannons boom.

Engineers redesign satelites on the fly to mount defensive forced plasma beam weapons and magnetoplasma driven microfusion devices while the International Fleet deploys gunships and fighters to clear the way and escort the deploying orbital transports.

OOC:way to attempt a Godmod - lay off the aditude and stick to the game

IC: We are now at War. 3 fighters, 1 Gunship - 12 lives lost in the service of freedom. But we will do what we must. To remain free of this tyrant who's proving his true colors.

Mobilzes all robotic and mechanized infantry/cavalry divisions on the ground and debriefs commanders to work inconcert with International Fleet Air Support. Although Intel came up short on a ground buildup at the borders - an attack on the ground is nodoubt imenent. All Units begin manuvers and cover Engineering groups reinforcing the borders.

OOC/IC: You must be mistaken because the moment your hostile intentions were suspected we rounded up that ultramainland minority you speak of and most of your officers must have been of this sort. Terrorism, sabotage & assasination readiness intiatives have all been implemented - like I said - Im ready for serious roleplay - and I think youve been away on too many manuvers to realize that Zhejiang's change to democratic ideals have prepared us for this day when we'd be forced to face the old opressors while yet hoping that our Chinese brothers would rather resort to diplomatic channels and grant us Real representation in congress. We deserve to rule ourselves! You dont even know us anymore how could you represent our best interest. You still think hte chinese people can be bullied into submission just by flexing millitary might. I think it is you who has lost his understanding of Chinese culture. Our requirements here in Zhejiang for compitent leadership vs tyranical misrepresentation is just as strong as anynations. We Stay Free.

OOC: Pig's arse! The military might is made up of the Chinese people themselves. Democracy is just another evil wanting to take hold of China. The only way for China to survive in the 21st Century is to look within for militant nationalism and to the right, instead of bickering day and night and achieving nothing.

We know all about Chinese democracy, it's nothing more than some private with an AK next to the ballot box.

You're really RP'ing bullsh*t, as if you are fighting for freedom from me, your technology would only come from me.

*Fires the IGNORE CANNON*

Have a f*cked up day! I have no time for daydreamers and techwankers.

OOC:
OOC: I think Taiwan and Sino want me gone - Just a feeling

On the serious side - I want to apologize in advance if my characterizations or ideas are found distasteful or entirely wrong in my role playing of a foreign culture, because in all honesty I actually know near nothing about China and its people. I've been reading a lot and have been doing some research on its history and recent events and I really like what I see in the rising power of China. Its an entirely differnent situation from the american one when it was developing - I find it promissing and refreshing sometimes, hopeful of it. Not in some halfassed idea that China might someday work out to be like the US, our system could probably not work, for different reasons, but the ideas of representation to better facilitate the effective administration of such a large and diverse populous. Im actually pretty sure democracy as it is in the US now would not work in China, and I know it would be irresponsible to interfer in the development of the optimal system that is right for china by the Chinese. So I humbly apologize for pretending to be something Im not - however I will continue in the hopes of learning more about the nation of my curent interest.

Sincerly Zhejiang :)

Now it's still not too late to ignore my thread Sino.

OOC:Continued.
I think you may be taking this RP thing too seriously - and I think I can see why. Youre roleplaying joint Manuvers with Taiwan, I'm not sure if this is a common event in RL but from this and your reactions here even if they arent entirely In your real character - I take it that a Unified China is important in the extreme to you and your friend Taiwan no doubt. So to nail one rougue province down in an act of unity to have a new player in your region playing to be a rogue province in which there is and will never be an issue of disharmony was offensive.

I wouldve actually found the idea of the south eastern US declaring independance an entertaining senario, but thats just me - Its fiction bro - chillax and enjoy the game - please? :D

Now that I think about it if the economy were to faulter like it did after WWI people would be at eachothers throats - and I think we were close to it before 9/11 - there were several predictions by very good economist and financial analyst. But I have a theory that war is good for buisness in general - even if the industrial significance is not as large as it was to pre world war economy it may have made the diference and saved us from a depression. But then again - I dont know much about economics either and most of todays experts would plainly tell me that Im out of my mind.

Anyway it still is a posibility if the arabia gets sick of us there after ousting us they could emerge with a unified perception of thier region and say f**k you US - to be sure you dont come back we arent selling oil to you or any nation that sells you oil. And after a few months into the situation here even if the shortage is not manifest the economic implications would be - and we would be at eachothers throats, looking over our shoulders, militias would sprout up everywhere, and our esteemed civil rights lovefest would be sacrificed for a few extra months of relative security. Another sick worst case scenario from an unboundmind. And Im not sure I would have a solution for that one. I'd be happy to make a mess of the US here for your entertainment in RP if you entertain my scenario for China first. :D

OOC: I wonder if the name I made up Eliaz and Eliazar means anything in chinese. :D

OOC: It doesn't. It isn't even a Chinese-like name. And for the record, you chose a very bad province to be seperatist. Zhejiang has been at the heart of China for 4000 years. It's just south of where the first Chinese Emperire (4000 years ago) ruled from, and it is 100% Han. It is just not a seperatist province... but whatever, I've already stated my thing with you on the China Messageboard.

OOC:

Whoops

well my first choice was Hanian the southern Island - but it was taken.

Maybe 30 years ago in my lil universe that was some sort of outrageous human rights floop by the govrnment against the people there... allowing the people to think in the opposite direction. Who lives there right now? You call it seperatist - but what if they call it freedom?

It was far detached from reality form the begining I wants to play a british colonial citystate like hongkong except that they were all near flawlessly repatriated. So I had to invent a problem - still havent worked out the specifics but its been some sort of underground popular mainstream idealogy thats known to everybody yet never spoken openly of maybe and somehow - yup an impossibility

How many Chinese are democrats and where are they in China usually?
