Menelmacar to hold conference with Klatch

The following message was sent to the leaders of most nations in the Klatch, particularly Vrak, Alcona and Hubris, and Dyelli Beybi.

Greetings, from the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar.

It has been with some consternation that we have watched recent events in the Klatch, focusing primarily around the Elves of the wilderness region known as the Gonad Peninsula. As you might imagine, we're concerned about the situation, and it is our hope we can bring the matter to a peaceful resolution.

At the same time, we believe it would be beneficial for all parties to engage in face to face discourse, to improve familiarity and awareness of one another's cultures. The Menelmacari are supremely cognizant of the distrust sown between the Federated Klatchian Coast and the United Emirates alliance, of which Menelmacar is a Leadership Council member. However, we note that Menelmacar is the only member of the UE that has never taken up arms against the Klatch, and we see no reason at this time why that state of affairs should not continue.

Therefore, we graciously invite any nations in the Klatch that wish to send representatives, to come to the Menelmacari capital, Vinyatírion the Eternal, for the purpose that the situation in the Gonad can be discussed in greater depth.

We look forward to your prompt reply.

Sincerely,

Lord Túrelio nos Fingolfin
Prefect of State, Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar

The assistant ran up the broad set of stairs in the old manor house. He was dressed in his naval kakis and was a bit out of breath from running up from the communications room in the bunker.

Damn, I'm getting out of shape in this cushy assignment....better do more jogging and less scoping out babes in the park. Hell, this is the first time I've seen a Priority One message sent to a Royal Envoy.

He stopped at a large, oak door down the hall and knocked with his left hand. His right hand clenched at the black plastic message case. He could feel his hand becoming sweaty and his grip on the case loosen.

Finally, he tried the door. The door opened to reveal a large bedroom with tall, east facing windows filling it with early morning light. The room seemed unlived in except for the tossed up sheets on the canopied bed and a suitcase lying open on a desk.

The sound of the shower running in the bathroom drew the officer's attention. He moved toward the bathroom door and rapped loudly. The shower stopped and a light alto filled the room, "Who's there..."

The officer began to stumble out words, as something on the other side of the bed appeared. It was a tiger, a large Klatchian tiger. "Ah, Baron...Baroness Winton....ah...the Outer Ministry forwarded a Priority....Priority One message to you...I've got it right here...."

The brown eyes of the lieutenant didn't move off the tiger.

I forgot Sir Meow was about...they don't eat humans...but he doesn't look very happy about this either...

He raised the black message case into the bathroom doorway, demonstrating to both the cat and the Baroness that he did indeed have a message.

A sandy blond with a few freckles and light blue eyes emerged from the bathroom with a towel about her. She grabbed the message case and placed her thumb on the I.D. pad.

Ann didn't look at the naval officer who was attempting to vanish into the wall behind him. She looked at her companion for the past five years and said, "Well we are finnally up...what do you want for breakfast?"

A light on the case went from yellow to green. A white, legal sized peice of paper emerged from the top of the case. It was covered in light blue hash marks and block red letters:

Priority: One
Security: Level 5
Subject: Royal Envoy Hathaway
Present Location: KIST Embassy
From: Outer Consul Federated Klatchian Coast

She held out the black case behind her and let the junior officer take it, and the multi-copy recipt hanging from the other end. Ann opened the paper and began to read it's contents.

The lieutenant was not as much fear of the tiger deciding to remove one of his limbs for inpropriety.

God, she...well she is a looker...damn can I get her in my bed...or how about me in her bed...wait...didn't she get kicked out of the Navy for killing her boyfreind while they were having sex? Yeah, well no playing with black widows who happen to have a pay grade that gives me a nose bleed.

The lieutenant began to make his way back out of the room. At the door she suddenly spoke to him. "Will you please inform the Ambassador that I need to arange transport directly to Port Olympus. It seems that the Federation Privy Council needs to send an Envoy to meet with Menelmacar..." She looked up at the young man. He seemed to melt with her blue-green eyes, or perhaps it was the red pupils of the tiger.

Whatever it was, he gave a short, stiff bow and retreated back into the hallway.

Ann turned towards the windows and mused outloud, "Now what am I going to do with you?" Her eyes moved back to Sir Meow, who looked back with an expression of his own.

OOC: A very elaborate tag/update. FKC is in planning stages at the moment
-Thank You for your time and attention.

Main Vrak Diplomatic HQ, Vrak Prime

-And, when will you be leaving Chief Ambassador?
-Within the hour. Where are the files I asked for?
-Here sir.

With a flourish, the aide thrust a thick binder on his boss’ desk. In it was all that Vrak knew about Menelmacar, starting with their rebuff at the World Court. It contained that nation’s leaders, a basic outline of their products and companies, and a chronological order of their major political and diplomatic movements, especially related to their usual method of operation regarding elven treatment in other nations.

-Good. Thank you. You may go. Make sure my belongings are stowed away. As well, contact our man in Port Olympus and let him know of my ETA.
-Right away, Chief Ambassador.

With a smart turn, the aide quickly strode out. Ipshi looked at the binder and then, with a sigh, put it into his briefcase. Then, after a look around his office, he waddle out to the waiting limousine that would take him to the military airbase. There, he would take a private diplomatic plane to Port Olympus and meet with the rest of the FKC delegates.

After several days of arguments in closed sessions of Parliament, the Klatch finally responds.

Official Rely
Under consultation with the Klatchian Parliament, The Klatchian States of Vrak, Dyelli Beybi, Rouge Jiggady, and the United Duchies, the Klatchian Parliament has authorized a team to be sent to hold discussions on the Gonnad Elf populations with Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar. The team will consist of representatives from several states, as well as the acting envoy for the Klatchian Privy Council. The team will also include several individuals who have studied, or have an intimate knowledge of, the Gonad Elf population. We will consider these individuals to be under the normal protections of diplomatic immunity while in the Eternal Noldorin Empire of Menelmacar. They will be arriving [date blanked] on transportation supplied by the Lords of War.

Sincerely,

Landgravine Hubris,
Outer Consul of the Federated Klatchian Coast.

The lines of the L.O.W. grav-battlecruiser were hard to make out from the ground as she slid through the sky at 32,000 feet. The 120 meter long ship looked like someone had warped a pre-dreadnought and placed it in the sky. Six huge turrets, two actually cantilevered out from the sides of the main hull contained the gauss guns. Smaller turrets, containing energy weapons, littered the upper deck and several ball turrets on the lower parts of the hull. Along the center line of the hull were casements, what weapons they contained was obviously a guess at the moment. The real distinguishing feature was six, large bulges in the lower hull. The proper gravametrics equipment would have found that these were the sources of the counter-gravity force.

In the mass of flying armor and metal was the actual bridge. Various stations lined the four walls of the bridge. In the center of the space was a holographic projection table. The Officer of the Namp stood silently watching the slice of planet earth rotate under the large red mark indicating the Ketmera

Someone, from a command console announced, "Sir we are within two hours of crossing into Menelmacar airspace."

The officer nodded and said, "Contact Baroness Winton immediately"

*****
In the Erlord's cabin, Baroness Winton was looking over the paperwork before her. A dapper looking gentleman, in a white jacket, and light blue pants quietly waited for another question. He sipped at his tea and looked towards the bright light entering the space from a porthole, then up at the ceiling ten feet above his head.

The buzz from a small, black unit on the table between them caught their attention. The Baroness kept the paperwork in one hand while her hand pressed down on a switch. "Yes…" she said a bit hesitantly. She still wasn't used to the fact that the unit didn't have the normal color codes on it.
"m'lady this is the bridge, with Patere Nimitons compliments, we are two hours from Menelmacar airspace."

She listened to the voice and then answered, "Fine, send the hail. If you would please notify all of the delegates to assemble in ah, the senior officer's wardroom for a last minute meeting, I would be most grateful…"

Meneclmacar….This is gravcraft Ketmera under Flag of the Federation of the Klatchian Coast with the Klatchian Diplomatic Team. Please advise us on approach vectors and landing location.

OOC: Notes-A+H actually has very little to do with the Gonad. My recent 'involvment' has primarily been through rping the Joint Defense Force of the Klatch (As I happen to be the active member of the Privy Council)

The senior officer wardroom was empty for a steward replenishing the urn of kuthra, a vile drink of the var, he looked up and was a bit surprised as the first delegate entered the ornate cabin.

Orith was quite in awe of actually being on a gravship. The technological advances of the LOW, especially with the vivid example of the war machine that he is hitching a ride on made him feel, powerless. But yet, at the same time it also instilled within him a sense of pride of the Klatch, as well as perhaps a small measure of cockiness. He began to imagine LOW gravships decending from above, burning their enemies and sending them fleeing. Oh, how wonderful it would have been to see these machines destroy Drakonia, Tersanctus, and Imitora. Well, perhaps not the later since they did send their First Speaker to try and heal past wounds. More than the other two he thought.

He began to compare notes with the other FKC delegates to make sure their position was united. He read the intel document on Menelmacar again, highlighting certain sections as an aide poured him a scotch. He figured that these negotiations would require quite a bit of alcohol.

The Dyellian delegate, Commisaar Harold Bendevee, political Officer 3rd Class, was a somewhat scruffy looking Commisaar (most were immaculately presented) in a rumpled field-grey uniform with the Cheka's blue piping. He also looked like he'd forgotten to shave for a couple of days. His luggage had included a crate of 'Helmut Cola', Dyelli Beybi's answer to absinthe... in a can.

Now he was making his way to the Captain's wardrobe. He wasn't quite certain why they were having a meeting in a cupboard, but who was he to question the Var?

(OOC) Hopefully someone will correct his mistake and nicely show him where he's supposed to be going ;)

The transport shook under her feet and she struggled to steady herself as the gravship moved along. It had taken her some time to get her 'sea legs' under her having never traveled on something so grand as a LOW gravship. Finally leaving her cabin for the first time on the trip, Susan Rink walked the corridors of the ship; her heels clicking down the lonely passageway in rythmic style. She tried to keep her famous coy smile on her face but struggled with her slight fear and uncertianty over their mode of travel.

This was her first big role in the fate of Rouge Jiggady, well second if one counted her part in killing jiggady, and only wanted to get back to the nation in one piece. Be personable, but dont get on anyones radar. We just want to maintain the status of our nation within this conflict in the Gonad.

ooc: turns 16, chuckles.......conflict in the gonad....ok turns back to 22

ic: Xanders words echoed in her head and she cursed his name. She had supported him because he seemed like he would be the most powerful ruler to ssucceed jiggady; yet at every point of conflic Xander has turned to run away, back down to every military that wanted to cross their borders.

Cursing loudly Susan stopped to steady herself and get her composure back before she joined the other diplomats the Klatch had sent. Opening the door Susan walked into one of the boardrooms without saying hi to anyone who may have been in there and went straight for the bar.

One of the bridge crew who's job was to monitor comm traffic received a message from the Vrak Diplomatic Corps. Although the message medium was primitive, the gravship had equipment to pick it up. The message was then converted into a hard copy and then an aide was sent to give it to the Vrakian ambassador.

-Excuse me, Ambassador. Your government sent a top priority message to you.

Orith looked up in surprise, not only due to the fact that the ensign spoke Vrakian but also that the diplomatic corps would be contacting him. He looked over the contents as the crewmember strode away.

"Ah, fellow delegates. It appears that we have some support for our mission. I must say, they have been extremely good to us as of late."

Then he read out the rest of the letter.

OOC: Hope you don't mind, LOW, if I briefly use an unnamed ensign to deliver a message. The letter contents are in our forums.

"Gravship Ketmera," came the response, "This is Vinyatírion Air Traffic Control. You are cleared to dock at the diplomatic terminal, bay four. Transmitting assigned entry vector now, please do not deviate. Welcome to Menelmacar."

OOC: Just a little bit to get this thread going again. Sorry, I had five midterms last week, so was very busy.

Vinyatírion Air Traffic Control we copy Ketmera out... The large object just kept moving on the provided vectors. Although aboard the bridge...

"They want us to 'dock' at 'bay' four...sir..."

"I hope bay four and whatever docking system they have can mate with ours...This bird was built for Var not humans or elves..."

The Wardroom
The Royal Envoy looked about and then up at the metal cealing with enclosed conduit cases running over her head.

She looked over at some form of junior officer...she wasn't quite sure which, the space and terrestrial navies of LOW used completely diffrent orginizations and grades. "You told the other delegates this wardroom correct?"

She got a nod..."Great they are wandering about this thing again...see if you can round them up please..."

Victoria was right, hearding bleedin' cats...

OOC:

Let me clarify. The events related to this thread did indeed happen. That thread did die off, but it was very active for quite some time by a number of participants. As well, those events constitute valid FKC history, as far as we see it.

Just because this thread died off due to your lack of posting in no way affects the other threads.
