New RP
I have an idea for a new RP, it will be much like early 1800's ship, you know, think of the movie Master and Commander, that era, but, the ships fly in the skies with the clouds and such, it will be fun. Many battles, I want good RPers, the timeline and storyline will be based around a war. Join in.

Tag. i was working on a story somewhat like this, technomagery in the 1500s, where a lifting gas far superior to hydrogen was available, so having floating ships of the line was a real posibility.

yeah my idea for the ships would be they would be gas or steamed powered, instead of sails they have giant fans, that spin as fast as a helicopter blade, there will be at least 5 blades per ship. That or we could go with Chardonay's idea. Whichever would be best.

You could use both... my propulsion is going to be steam powered, but the lifting gas makes it possible for the things to fly.
That works, I am going to have steam powered engines, spinning the blades, so they can fly. For steering I will have gas pouring out of vents with a rutter in behind it so it will act much like a ship's rutter in the ocean.

Hmm, there is a problen however. Wouldn't the crew be sucked into these blades?
are people walking under the helicopter blades sucked into it? They aren't giant blades, no bigger than a helicopters, thats why there are five or more of them, and the boats are lightweight.
