Ferranifer picks up a particularly nasty looking object barbed on two sides and sharpened on a third. "These were not designed for ethical treatment. I learn more from studying organs that are still working even when exposed. Perhaps I didn't myself clear earlier, for which I apologize."

Frederick shakes his head. "Then we will release no prisoners to you."

Robert just looks to her, wondering if she'll respond to his words or not.

While the Scientist would nominally agree that vivisection is one of the most effective ways of analyzing a new species, she also knows the standard Blue coverage of diplomacy--such things are generally not permitted, especially in a setting such as this. I may be of some assistance in this matter, she proffers as she continues taking notes. While my tools may not be as... effective as the good Ferranifer Melbourne of Dragonsreach's methods, they will be much faster and certainly good enough for an initial survey of internal structure and layout. It consists of a series of ultrasonic transmitters and receivers placed over the subject's body... She pauses for a moment, then chuckles.

It uses sound and the fact that different materials conduct sound different ways to construct a very accurate visual model of the subject's internal structure on its display. As organ placement rather than method of operation tends to be a more obvious indicator of the relation of species, this method should be suitably accurate.

She does give thought to possibly obtaining a specimen for future investigation later... but now is not the time to discuss such things, not after the king's obvious antithetic reaction to the topic.

The ogre snarls. "I said who I was. You all say too. And no putting stuff on me."

Frederick nods. "That sounds doable. She is at your disposal."

I am Scientist 82142895 of the Blue Mother of Us All, says the insectiod in a simple introduction as she rises slowly, and as I see it, you have a choice between two different and clearly distinct options, Becca. The first option is where I take these little discs--the Blue removes a series of flat metal cylinders from their pouch on her webbing, all connected by little cords and cables to each other in a string, all leads eventually leading to a flat hexagonal device--and place them on your skin. They may be a little cold, but it will only take a few seconds and then I can remove them and you will be no worse for it.

Or, on the other hand, we can put you in the 'care' of Ferranifer Melbourne of Dragonsreach. Indicating the woman with a nod of her bulbous head, the Blue takes up one particularly nasty bladed instrument and indicates the multiple sharp points on it as she continues to speak in a matter-of-fact voice. As she has described it, her intent is to cut you open alive and keep cutting until you eventually die after several days. This tends to indicate that her procedure will be quite painful and, thusly, most unpleasant in the interim and most certainly inconducive to your continued health.

Unless anyone else has a third option, the Scientist concludes quietly, I leave the choice up to you.

Becca just glares, silent for the moment.

The spacedy ant puts down the paradoxically finely-made yet crude vivisection tool. I can wait just as long as you can, she clicks, and you were brought here specifically for this purpose. I would prefer to perform this with your consent, but I do believe that the powers that be--she nods to the king--can have you temporarily incapacitated if you fail to comply. My way is safe, simple, and most of all only an inconvenience for a very short time.

The choice is still yours.

Frederick shakes his head. "It is not hers. She will do as you ask."

Fair enough...

The Blue mimics a human shrug, then quickly ambles over to the ogress and applies the discs to extremities, shoulders, stomach, and back. While not exactly warm to the touch to begin with, the contacts of the instruments are coated with a chemical gel which warms up in response to friction and the such, so they become comfortable quite quickly.

A flick of the switch and the pads quite literally thrum, but not in any way that can be heard by normal human ears, although Ferranifer may not appreciate it much. The ogress feels something akin to a very gentle body-wide shiver, high frequency and low amplitude, almost a 'fuzzy' feeling. After a few seconds, the Blue turns off her device and retrieves her discs.

All done.

Ferranifer wraps up her tools and places them into the pack and then gets her books and places them in as well. She retakes her seat and reaches for the glass, looks at the water, then places it back on the table. Her manner is one of mild confusion, odd for her normal behaviour. She looks over at the ogre and the insectoid scientist.

Becca tenses but doesn't stop her. When the discs are removed, she smiles a little.

Computations completed, the panNorm Scientist disconnects the hexagonal device from the string of disc-shaped sensors before putting the latter back into their pouch. She then places the hexagonal device on the table, within reach to be passed around if desired.

The device is slightly larger than a bread plate and has a hinge in the center; a tall, flat rectangular screen of 'electronic paper' bridges the gap and dominates the device while tucked in the side-corners of the hexagons are several recessed controls; the one on the right is analogous to a trackball while the left has several buttons with different icons engraved on them.

This is a model of the inside of the subject; use the trackball here to change viewing angle and these controls to zoom and pan. Identifiably different organs and organ systems can be highlighted and color-coded with this control here. By not putting any sensors on her head the data concerning anything beyond the shape of her skull is circumspect, but that kind of work is too delicate for my field instruments anyway.

The Elf from ICEL stares at the ogre. He says nothing, does nothing. He simply stares, as if staring into the very essence of the being; perhaps he is - perhaps not, however. His expression is curiously bland.

After a little while, when the panNorm scientist speaks regarding the device, he frowns slightly and shakes his head; his lips move again in that odd manner, and a faint murmour of a word can be heard here or there, thanks to the sensitivity of the magic at work enabling all to understand all.

"...at...time, Sire. Perhaps... future."

Apparently, the Elf is not aware he can be overheard.
The Resurgent Dream

The sidhe rise from the table. They move along, in order of rank, peering at the display the panNorm has produced. Janice stays by the ant as the others drift away. "Scientist, this data would only be useful if comparative data were also taken from one of us. At least, that is my understanding."

Lord Robert pauses near Ferranifer, looking down at her. He smiles a little. "I do hope we can do business. I have rarely had the chance to work with such a...charming woman."

The ogre's bones are thicker and denser than a human's. The organs are all in the same area of the body as a human organ system, though larger. There are half again as many ribs as on a human body. The bones are disproportionately wide for a humanoid, a natural result of the principle that mass increases at an exponentially higher rate than area. The epidermal layer is thick, as are the muscles. There is no vestigial trace of a tail. In fact, there are no unnecessary bones or organs.

Ferranifer looks up at Robert, her distant and distracted for a moment before focusing on him. "well, she says charmingly, that depends on the business. Buying sentients is not permitted by Laur .... umm .... The Queen."
The Resurgent Dream
23-10-2004, 21:20
Robert laughs a little. "They're barely sentient. Try doing an intelligence test on one some time. Not rational beings. Nonetheless, I am sure we can work something out. I could simply let you experiment here."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 00:07
Ferranifer smiles at Robert, "I may take you up on that. I find the more umm, ethical studys much more time consuming." She leans back and reaches for the glass of water, and then looks at it and sets it back down. Her eyes become distant a moment and she frowns, then looks back up at Robert and smiles.

24-10-2004, 00:11
Robert smiles back. "We'll talk after the session." He returns to his seat, sitting with an easy grace and an evil smirk.

Becca looks at Ferranifer. "Why would you be so mean to me? I never hurt you."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 01:46
"Nothing personal", Ferranifer said to Becca, "It's just research. Though i'm familiar with ogres, so you have no need to worry."
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 01:47
Helga tilts her head. "If you have abandoned your contention that sidhe in your lands are the same as sidhe here, it seems to follow that our ogres would be just as different."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 02:19
"Hmm", Ferranifer says thinking, "You're right, perhaps I do need to experiment on them."
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 03:55
Helga shrugs. "Very well. They are abominations. I do not understand why some would have this creature granted ethical considerations."

Becca glares. "I'll kill you, bitch!"

24-10-2004, 04:02
Ferranifer smiles at Becca, her eyeteeth sliding from thier gumsheaths, "I'm already dead."

Becca grunts. "Not you! Her!" She raises her manacles, pointing to Helga.

Ferranifer looks at Becca inquisitively. "You are angry, why?"
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:19
Becca sighs. "She said I did't deserve etical consaration."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:26
"What did she mean by that?" Ferranifer asked as she leaned back and idly picked up the glass, raising it to her lips. She then looked down at it and rolled her eyes, sighing, then placed the glass back on the table.
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:27
Robert smiiles. "Ethical consideration."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:30
Ferranifer looks at Robert a bit irritated. "I know what she said. The question is", and Ferranifer looks back at Becca, "What did Helga mean by that statement?" She looks at Helga and Robert, "I want the ogre to answer."
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:32
Becca furrows her brow. "She wants to kill me. And my name is Becca."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:35
"Well, well. She already shows more intellect than the ogres of my region. There certainly are distinctions in the racial lines." Ferranifer leans back looking at the ogress. "Why are you in chains?"
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:36
Becca thinks. "The chains make aren't nice."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:39
"Now your sounding like Baghtru. What is a servant?" she askes.
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:42
Becca pauses. She starts to answer two or three times, shutting her mouth. Then she shrugs.
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:43
Ferranifer looks at Becca. "What did you do that you were put into chains?"
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:44
Becca frowns. "I'm not a servant."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:48
"If you can't tell me what a servant is then how do you know that you aren't one?" Ferranifer asks.
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:50
Becca pauses, looking up thoughtfully. She takes about ten minutes of silent reflection. "I'm not a servant."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:53
Ferranifer shows unusual restraint as though accustomed to dealing with such things. "Yet you cannot tell me how you know that you aren't. Very well, if you're not a servant then what are you?"
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 04:55
"I'm Becca."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 04:57
"Servant, is a title, not a name. Your name is Becca, but what is your title? I assume you served some role among your people."
The Resurgent Dream
24-10-2004, 05:10
"Becca."
DragonsReach
24-10-2004, 05:16

The Elf has been silent for some time, watching the exchange with calm neutrality. He is not calm, however. Rage is bubbling slowly forth from his very core, and he cannot contain himself for ever; if he were not frustrated at what has seemed to be something of a pointless visit, doubtless he would keep his peace for longer.

But this is not the case.

"Enough!" he roars, slamming a fist down against the table with surprising strength. The table splinters against his hand, but he does not appear to notice. "This is an absolute outrage! This will cease immediately, and there will be no 'experimentation' so long as I am present! This is a Sentient being if I ever saw one, no matter how small that Sentience may be (if the poor being is not drugged, or some other foul play is at work), and I will not suffer this disgusting behaviour in my presence. It is clearly dissatisfied with being chained, and thus has not given permission for the bondage. I require an answer as to why, therefore, it is chained and treated thus."

His words had calmed somewhat as he spoke, but after a bare moment his eyes and face flush with anger again, and he all but roars, "Now!"

Which is certainly an interesting response.
The Resurgent Dream
29-10-2004, 19:40
King Frederick leans back, folding his hands together. "She is convicted of five counts of murder, 32 counts of destruction of property, one count of cannibalism, 12 counts of assault and battery, eight counts of conspiracy to commit murder, 157 counts of violent robbery....the list goes on."
DragonsReach
30-10-2004, 02:41
"Quite a list of charges", Ferranifer says to the King. "If you want me to experiment", she says, blatantly ignoring the elf, "than I shall, though I believe there are differences between your own decent and those Sidhe from my region."
The Resurgent Dream
30-10-2004, 02:45
King Frederick shakes his head. "That list of charges explains why she is in chains and why relatively innocuous tests are being allowed. However, we do not have our prisoners dissected in such an inhumane manner. Before comparison demonstrates anything, however, we believe Lady Janice is waiting for the Scientist to repeat the test on her."
S-14
30-10-2004, 03:09
The Blue looks up from her continued notes, obviously distracted. Spite. I do apologize--I suppose that would make sense, wouldn't it? Unfolding again from her couch, she reconnects the display to the sensor string, fiddles with the buttons, and ambles over to Lady Janice.

The process is the same, although the equipment gets spritzed off quickly with a little bit of isopropyl rubbing alcohol first before the applying the gel-coated sides of the steel discs to Lady Janice's skin in approximately the same locations. They're still slightly warm from their previous friction-reaction; the test takes only a few seconds again with that odd feeling of internal buzzing or fuzziness, something akin to the 'ghostly' numb feeling of having an asleep limb or losing the sensation in one's face from too much drink.

There--that's done. The constructed model should indicate whether or not there's a relation if all of the organs are approximately the same shape and in the same location. Differences such as additional bones should also be a deciding factor; mammalian neck, tarsal, and carpal bones tend to be near constants. She passes around the display again.
The Resurgent Dream
30-10-2004, 04:38
The stomach, liver, and digestive track are smaller on Lady Janice. The ribs are narrower. She has no appendix. For the rest, it is basically the same as on a human.
The Resurgent Dream
30-10-2004, 07:26
((Ummm...no human scans were used for comparison.))
DragonsReach
30-10-2004, 10:34
Ferranifer passes the object along not looking at it. "Are there any differences and if so what are they?"
The Resurgent Dream
30-10-2004, 17:47
Helga smiles indulgently. "Fewer bones, narrower rib cage, no appendix."
DragonsReach
30-10-2004, 18:36
Ferranifer nods. "The first two are obvious from the size difference. The appendix .... That's interesting."

The Elf from ICEL departs without another word, not bothering to speak farewells.
The Resurgent Dream
31-10-2004, 21:33
King Frederick sighs quietly as the elf leaves, looking around the table. "Wel...we shall adjourn for the day. We think we have accomplished out goals here but we will have another session in the morning to wrap up. Dinner will be served in an hour. Ferranifer, we believe there is a pooka who wishes to see you." He rises with simple grace. "Good even." Turning, he glides gracefully from the room.

Serenia, for her part, is waiting on a bench in the hall, just outside the conference room. She's dressed in a simple black dress down to her calves.
DragonsReach
31-10-2004, 21:54
Ferranifer approached Serenia smiling. "I think we got off on a bad foot. I feel that I should explain. I don't know why I feel that way, I think I've been around Laura to long, but I think an explanation is in order. If your willing to hear me out of course."
The Resurgent Dream
31-10-2004, 21:56
Serenia nods. "If you want to, that's ok. You're the queen, after all." She stands quietly.
DragonsReach
31-10-2004, 23:20
"Actually", Ferranifer says, taking her arm, "I'm the Queen's advisor, not the Queen. You see it's just that you were bringing up some things from my past. A past I'm trying to forget. That's why I got upset. I was not always a good person and I struggle with it sometimes." Ferranifer spoke as she made her way toward her room, her thirst beginning to build after the long session.

Serenia walks with Ferranifer, led along. "Nah, I think you're a queen. Only queens can be all pretty."

The Blue continues to read through the thick book at a prodigious rate, comparing it to the two models stored in her display device. It takes a few hours, but not as long as could be expected, given the amount of information she sorts through and the pages of notes she writes in her alien hand.

As could be expected, she draws the conclusion that the two do appear to be related in the same way as primitive hominids, as the differences are similar to those between Homo neanderthalensis and early Homo sapiens. However, there are other factors to keep in mind, such as the major difference in skin pigmentation. Blue skin indicates a concentration of some sort of cyanine or cyanin, such as phthalocyanine or anthocyanin, both of which serve as antioxidants... but what evolutionary factors would excite the formation of such a buildup? The Sidhe, as far as the Scientist has seen, follow human coloration patterns, if not on the porcelain-white side; and those are a melanin-base induced to protect against ultraviolet radiation damage. Cyanins could assist in preventing that, but they mostly have an effect in reducing the formation of benign and malignant cancerous masses, and would be a reaction in a species prone to cancer. The probability of evolving from one form of preventative adaptation 'designed' to prevent a sympton to a completely different form of preventative adaptation 'designed' to prevent the cause are infinitesimally small...

Then the test results return from Alpha. The blood sample indicated is completely homogenous. Cellular matter is not fluid; it has to be suspended in a fluid, such as blood cells and platelets in plasma. The sidhe blood extracted from Lady Janice lacks cells and is completely homogenous. Titer tests and time in the centrifuge does not separate it by density. To a macroscopic observer, it looks, feels, tastes, and smells like blood. It seems to perform the function of blood well enough, transporting oxygen from one place to another. However, microscopically, it is not blood--more like a homogeneous solution resembling motor oil.

This is most curious indeed. The Blue looks down at its carefully arranged papers in the otherwise empty conference room, forming an organized hierarchy of data around the reference book, with the results from Alpha along the side, additional evidence that does not seem to fit the schema. Taking up those sheets, she looks through them once more before placing them centrally, right on top of the book. The abomination said that function follows form. Things simply are, and they act as they look. If it looks like blood, then it acts like blood...

She chatters her mandibles together with glee. How mad.
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 01:04
"Only? Hardly. I've seen the rise and fall of countless countries and regencies. Believe me, not all were fair of face or form. In fact I remember a minotaur kingdom. The Queen there was ugly that people stepped away to avoid looking at her." Ferranifer neglected to mention the fact that anyone stepping in her way simply got killed, her point was that even for another minotaur the woman was ugly. "Tell me, how does a pooka keep the title of Knighthood? Those where I'm from are hardly serious enough to hold any job and normally don't."
The Resurgent Dream
01-11-2004, 01:17
Serenia pauses. "It's mostly cause the queen likes me. You do, right?"
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 01:25
"You've given me no reason to dislike you. And you were kind to me when I first arrived. Of course I like you. As I said, I'm just a bit touchy about my past." She stopped and opened her door, "You can come in if you like, I need my bottles."
The Resurgent Dream
01-11-2004, 01:27

DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 05:26
Ferranifer chuckles. "I've never exploded from feeding, but then I can only feed on humans." She takes a bottle from the desk and fills a wineglass. Sipping from it she takes a seat and then gestures toward a chair. "Have a seat. So tell me, what are your responsibilities as a knight?"

The Resurgent Dream
01-11-2004, 06:23
Serenia pouts. "I am too irritating!"
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 06:30

01-11-2004, 06:33
Serenia blinks. "What dinner? I've never heard of dinner before."
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 06:44
"The king is having a dinner with the delegates that are here for the conference", Ferranifer tells her as she stands, holding the pooka gently but with a surprising strength. She gets her bottle and a clean wine glass, "Any idea where it might be? Or shall we ask one of the servants?"
The Resurgent Dream

01-11-2004, 08:08
The dining room table is set with fine silver and crystalline glassed, tall, elegant chairs set for all the guests. No one is there yet, as Ferranifer is about half an hour early.
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 16:35
"I love being early, you get the first choice of seating", she says to serenia with a wink.

01-11-2004, 16:41
Serenia looks around. "Will people be mad that I'm here?"
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 16:49
"I shouldn't think so, but I don't want you to get in trouble. If you'd feel more comfortable we can take a seat out in the hall until the other's arrive and if nothing is said then I think you would be fine. I know my Queen welcomes guests regardless of thier station and so does her father the King."
The Resurgent Dream
01-11-2004, 17:01
Serenia nods. "Are you going to sit too?"
DragonsReach
01-11-2004, 17:31

The Resurgent Dream
01-11-2004, 18:39

Ferranifer sits down and lifts Serenia onto her lap. "Well I would be honored to be named such. I shall certainly put you in my memoirs and you will have a place in my book of honorable mentions. It's seperate from the memoirs as they are getting rather numerous. But the book of honorable mentions has it's own place on a pedestal in the west tower of the mention where I keep my memoirs." She smiled at Serenia, genuinely delighted with her company. 'Perhaps there was something to being good and making friends instead of having everyone fear you instead', she thought.

Serenia just cuddles Ferranifer and sits quietly for now, waiting for the others to start showing up.

Ferranifer just sits, smiling, unaccustomed to feelings other than anger, hate or malice and enjoying the high feelings she was having now.

Serenia tries to tickle the vampire, grinning mischievously.

Ferranifer smiled. "I'm not ticklish", she said as she set down her wine bottle and wine glass, "But lets see something." She moved her hand up and started to try tickling Serenia.
The Resurgent Dream

Serenia giggles wildly, squirming and flailing.

Ferranifer stopped, "I guess we know who's ticklish here", she said and proceeded to tickle her again.

The pooka squirms wildly. "Stop! Stop!"

Ferranifer stops and hugs serenia. "Thank you. Most people are afraid of me, or just don't like me."

Serenia shrugs, hugging her back. "I'm just more powerful than a dragon."

Ferranifer smiled, "I believe you are, dear, but I thank you anyway."

Serenia blushes lightly, looking up and down the hall. "When's everyone else coming?"

Ferranifer smiled, "It shouldn't be too much longer, we got here just a bit early."

So Serenia just sits and waits quietly. She keeps her eyes down the hall towards where the other delegates should be coming from.

The Scientist takes a picture of her array of information with a little digital camera, then pockets it before cleaning up. The book is closed and set right in line with the edge of the table, easily reached and picked up for whoever gets it; her notes are once again collated into neat stacks that she slips into a clip on her notebook. All taken care of and all in its place, she returns to her room to study her notes further, sending dispatches back to Alpha and receiving responses, an interplanetary back and forth considering the possible implications of these findings.

Her analysis is certainly... odd to her colleagues, but cannot be discounted as it certainly does explain the irregularities. Nevertheless, more tests are necessary. Is this simply a bad sample, or is this a standard for sidhe blood? Is this limited to sidhe, or does it extend to the other creatures observed?

Via one means or another, the panNorm is invited to supper... which is a concern. Her standard Blue diplomatic training reminds her that spacedy ant mastication, being largely external, is naturally repugnant and anathema to most endoskeletal manners...

...but refusing to dine with them could be seen as an insult, which cannot be allowed--not now, when closer relations could bring so much more knowledge to the panNorm. It is with this in mind that she ambles into the dining room, looking around curiously, sniffing the ancient scents of food in the air silently with her antennae.

Serenia grins at the panNorm, raising one hand in a wave. She looks back to Ferranifer. "Is it time to eat now, Your Majesty?"

The muscular pooka hops up, offering Ferranifer a hand. She tilts her head to the panNorm. "Are you a pooka too? I'd never heard of any pooka in other nations. But my pooka alarm went off. Where are you from?"

The panNorm cants her head, antennae tapping slowly together. Pooka, pooka... que es eso "pooka?" It takes her a few moments, but she finds the word defined somewhere in the very back of her mind. She then releases a series of clicks and such that Ferranifer certainly can make out as: That is not my nature, no. I am a Blue genotype of the panNorm, a scientist in function.

Serenia probably hears someone playing with castanets. The spacedy ant taps her antennae together slowly again, then points her head more directly towards Ferranifer. Let me guess--she does not understand.
The Resurgent Dream
10-11-2004, 06:37
Serenia tilts her head a little, tufted ears perking. "She's a superpooka."
S-14
10-11-2004, 06:48
The 'superpooka' shakes her head, antennae drooping a bit in something equivalent to a sigh. Thinking momentarily, she flips out her notebook from her utility vest again and produces a pencil. The pencil, one of the traditional kind with graphite encased in a shaft of pressed wood--although the 'graphite' is actually a sort of charcoal easily produced from waste organic compounds and the wood being no more than a similarly mixed organic pulp molded then dried into a hexagonal cross section, both examples of the panNorm tendency towards creative use of recycling--is worn down to a stub from her previous furious notetaking and writing.

Figures. She tucks the notebook under one arm as she flips out an encounter knife from her vest--essentially a combination multitool and fifteen-centimeter utility knife which folds out of the handle--and quickly shaves the pencil to a point. After folding the knife closed with one hand and returning it to its little pouch, she quickly writes on her notepad in copperplate lettering:

I am not a pooka. I am a subset--a Blue--of the panNorm.

Normally I would be talking, but my translator annoys your friend.

She holds this up in front of her thorax, pointing hopefully with her pencil.

Serenia reads the note. She looks up to the panNorm. She reads the note. Then she grins broadly. "I love Blue subsets!" She grins and blows the panNorm a kiss.

The Blue, not really knowing how to take this, just taps her antennae together very, very slowly as she folds her notebook shut and finds someplace to curl up at the table.

"Well", Ferranifer says, coming out of her reveries, "it would seem we are beginning to assemble." She stands up and looks at Serenia, "I can help you understand the delegate of PanNorm if you'll accept my spell."

Serenia just nods. "Bewitchifyer me, babe."

Ferranifer cast the spell that she had cast on all the others, allowing Serenia to understand the PanNorm and anyone else she came in contact with, at least for the next twenty-four hours, which is the length of the spell. "Perfect", she said smiling, "shall we go in?"
The Resurgent Dream

Serenia pulls a seat out for Ferranifer, grinning. "So where is everyone else? I heard there were a zillion delegates at this thing."

Ferranifer smiled and curtseyed then sat down, "Well I don't know about a zillion but there are several. I'm not sure where they went." She sat her dark wine bottle on the table along with the wine glass.

I am not entirely certain where everyone went, the panNorm clicks from her spot at the table, but it did appear the delegate from Ma-tek was... aggrivated by the discussion of rights earlier. I doubt we can expect his return.
