After several trial launches and extensive testing between earth sites and the lunar surface the orbital institute of technology and luna 1 shipyards declares that test are complete and industrial level manufacturing techniques are being worked out now for mass production of the new aerospace orbital launch & lunar transport vehicle.

The cost of launching materials and passengers into space has been reduced 22% to less than 900 credits per pound. Total Capacity of the launch vehicle is 22000 lbs. Once in full production the new AST-2 will be available for earth bound buyers wanting to get thier space programs off the ground or to upgrade aging fleets for this more efficient design. The price will likely be around 350 million per vehicle pending certification of the facilities to safely operate the vehicle, free of cost.

Magnetic nozzle defects cause Luna I to hault production of the AST-2

We are not going to be taking orders until the source of the defects can be isolated and corrected in the complex production facilities. We regret that this has developed and will do everything possible ot correct the issue and get on with full scale production soon after.
