"Greetings Citizens of Jitano and of the world, The empire is pleased to bring you the first annual Swords Budokai! I am honoured to present the mos respected swordsmaster in Jitano, Kovan Deron!"
Applause thunders through the great arena as the Jitanese Samurai steps onto the raised platform, Deron bows first to the Emperor, then the flag of Jitano, and finally to the crowd at large. Carefully he surveys the ring, 50 ft by 50 ft, a perfect square composed of granite blocks,
"Noiw, let these would be swordsmen come to me." he mutters under his breath, as he awaits the arrival of Laina Meyers.

Laine Meyers entered the arena with unusal grace. She was dressed in black slacks, a brown jacket, and wore a beret. She turned to the Emperor and the crowd, and paid her respects. Laine got little applause. This was, after all, her first world tournement, and although she was well known inside Ravea, she was an unknown to to world. All that was about to change.

She sized her opponent up, knowing him by reputation. She had fought against Samurai before, and while this was certianly no ordianary match, she was confident that both her and her blades would succseed.

"Lets get this over with," She wispered, grasping her twin rapiers.

OCC:Ummmm......bump?

OOC: Uhh, so is my character Viy Carrion entered into the fight or not? I never got a response about that. If I signed up too late, then that's fine, I'd just like to know.
