Ok. I am going to open up a Jedi Academy RP, starring my very own Daniel Masaki, the son of the Emperor. There is need for a few characters:

Crime Lord (2) (Enter the Hutts! One other crimelord, any species)
teachers (be specific)
fellow apprentices
a rival to the Heir
petty villains (later on)
bounty hunters (later on)
and I'll be supplying a Dark Jedi as the main villain, but he, too won't be brought in until a later mission.

Heir to the throne, but not as snobbish as you'd think. Outgoing and very into fighter sims. Later on, he will have the (sometimes) annoying Masaki trait for attracting girls, but now, there's only a few girls he knows well other than his younger sister, Fiona. Dislikes bullying with a passion, another family trait. Is strong in the Force, and already knows the rudimentary basics, but doesn't hurt to relearn them.

Your character should have something like the above attributes. After enough people come in, I'll open the actual thread, to be titled, "The Adventures of Daniel Masaki".

He is quiet but very active when started and likes fighting. However, even though he likes fighting he is very reluctant to deal serious damage to people unless it is absolutely necessary. He is ok in the Force and can lift objects under 10 lbs 2 ft and he can sense attacks to a certain extent.

OOC: I'm a moderntech nation, but I figure I can waive that to participate in something this amusing.

I've always hated the jedi, because they're such annoying goodie goodies/entirely evil psychopaths, and I feel that there's room for different interpretations and uses of the force, so I at one time wrote out a description of a society of force users who aren't jedi, called Die Ruhe. They're normal people, with normal personalities and none of the violent extremes of the jedi. However, their force abilities lend themselves easily to 'shady' enterprises. Their abilities tend towards making themselves hard to see and inconspicuous, agility, harmless pyrotechnics, and mild telempathy. Many become actors or dancers, while others become petty thieves and smugglers. They also tend to dispise jedi for their extreme outlooks and massive power, for although these force users are extremely sealthy, they aren't powerful. They despise the lightsaber as a weapon for dilletents and nobles, and prefer to use knives... woe betide the jedi who lets one of these force users get within knife reach.

While I'm not suggesting that a society like this exists in the universe you're RPing in, I'd like to use one as my character, it might be interesting to see the teachers perplexed at the way the force doesn't affect her emotionally. For her, it will be merely another tool. It'll also be funny watching her try to lift things telekinetically or block blaster bolts.

A petty thief for most of her life, she was one of the best pickpockets in Coruscant, and graduated from that to catburglery. A talented actress, there wasn't enough money on the stage to pay off a lone she took out from a shark on the lower levels. Desperate for money, she hit the residence of a wealthy ambassidor, and was caught in the act. When he attempted to take advantage of the situation, she knifed him and ran away, only to be tracked down by a jedi investigator. She was cleared of the charges by him, and, intrigued by her limited force abilities, he sponsored her in the accademy. I could imagine her being used as an assistent for some of the classes.

Note: NOT a potential romantic interest for anyone more than 2 years younger than her... cause that's nasty.

Notes:

A man with no past. A man with no future. His destiny is shrouded in darkness and uncertainty. Powerful in the Force he might be as any aspiring Jedi, and oddly good at utilizing the Force. It is almost as if he has been trained to use it. He himself adamantly denies this and at the same time he keeps his mind shut, or emanates false thoughts to those who listen.

(Secret IC:)In truth, he is a Dark Jedi, but these Dark Jedi have no connection to the Sith. Instead, they loathe those who call themselves Sith. Their ways are quite different from the Sith, the most obvious difference being that they do not have the self destructive lust for power of the Sith. They do not seek out their own to get their rank. They do not seek to be the rulers of the known Universe, as such thoughs tend to lead to one's own expiration.

Curiosity was what brought him to the Jedi Academy. What do they teach there, and how do they teach it? He was allowed by the Masters to go wherever he wanted. And he found one other Academy.

(OOC: Or don't you accept "infiltrators"? It's not likely he'd try anything, just play a normal student, even if he's a bit on the older side.)

His experience is beyond his true age, seeing as he was forced to become an adult at 13. In his spare time, he would go into the forest nearby, and train with his staff. At age 16, 10 Raiders sent by the government arrived at his house to kill his entire family, but Galcian was able to defeat all of them. At this point, him and his parents realized his potential and sent him to a school for special teenagers. His dad was able to find a decent paying job, and the family was back on their feet.

Thought not the most ridged teacher, he knows where he stands, and stays there. He firmly believes in the solidarity of light side, and anyone thinks otherwise has shamed the Jedi in his mind. Beyond that simple principle, he is fairly easy going, allowing students to adapt at their own pace, even if excruciatingly slow. Yet, beyond that, even his seemingly unwavering mindset that good triumphs over evil, something simmers, always out of site and out of mind.

A brilliant soldier with a staggering amount of combat experience, Pavel exhibits many symptoms of sociopathy. Though smart, organized, and effective, he is a glib lier, charming, and has no empathy or innate understanding of social norms whatsover.... that doesn't mean he is a rampaging serial killer either. Through close observation of collegues and civilians he has come up with a set of rules that seem to make things go easier when dealing with people... such as "Death threats are not effective ways of getting a flight attendant to bring your coffee faster." His only loyalty is to his unit and, to a lesser degree, his employer, though he can counterfit it extremely well.

Bio: Kasandral was born in the capital city of Ybronneb, Calamar. He was raised by a retired fencing coach, who still practiced the old ways. Kasandral was taught everything the man knew, and became a highly proficient fencer. His often unorthodox tactics won him 3 national tournaments by age 11. At the age of 12, his tutor was murdered and Kasandral forced to live on the street, with only his rapier as a companion. On the street Kasandral learned that stealth is often benificial. He found a Wraith training base and secretly watched them train. Soon he was as stealthy as them. While most think 17 is too late to be trained in the ways of the jedi, Kasandral's high intelligence suggests he might make it.
He wears a black cloak often, and knee-high black boots. His tunic is dark red, as well as his pants. There is a dark red spider symbol on the cape. The outfit is his former tutors house colors and symbol, and Kasandral wears it with pride.

Story-like, like the Young Jedi Knight novels, aka the world according to Daniel. But each character has his/her own experiences to go with it to make the book fresh and unique to read.

OOC: I'm not going to screw the Rp up for you. My guy know something is wrong here. He is not really evil but he learned the Force Lightning from a Dark Jedi Master that he kill. The Dark Jedi Master trained him in the ways of the Sith than Lord JWolf had order to kill him. After he had kill the Dark Jedi Master, he destroyed the Sith Academy.

(OOC: OK, alright. Sounds fine. Although my Dark Jedi aren't affiliated with them Sith. They dislike the Sith and all. Lets leave this as the last OOC thing in this thread, since this isn't the OOC thread and all. I'll post any other OOC stuff to the other thread from now on.)
Some stuff that was on the IC thread. It is some info that need to be here.

Force lightning is, as I understand it, an inharently evil art. If you use it then you fall... which is one of the problems I have with Jedi and the force in general.

An aditional note regarding Natalia's powers. What with all the sensing that's going around, I imagine someone's going to post that they sense something about her. Don't. She has very few force abilities and even less power, but one of her major advantages is that people can't read her easily and she can easily project what she wants people to think. If she wants people to think she's scared... they'll think she's scared. This, combined with natural acting technique, is what makes her such a good actress. This ability has a second function; it allows her to blend in and 'disapear'. She doesn't turn invisible, but no one notices her if she has the slightest amount of cover, be it a crowd or a bush. If they are specifically looking for HER then they'll see her, but when she wants to be she's really unremarkable. They'll remmeber "That girl... the pretty one... with the hair... and...and did she have two legs? I forget" and that's it.

Conversely, she's extremely adept at reading people. THis is just reading body language and voice, though the force does aide her. She'll never be able to close her eyes and pull emotions out of your mind, but she can get a good idea of what you're thinking from facial twitches and what you do with your hands. Again, this awareness of bodylanguage is a nessesity for actors.

She can also (with practice) use the force to augment her physical abilities, primarly allowing her to slow down time for her. THis doesn't actually increase how fast she moves, but allows her to think very clearly about each action before she does it... which means she won't miss often with a pistol or with a sword. This ability is what makes her a fantastic dancer right now, instead of just a very good one.

Her weaknesses are first, she's an extremely attractive small girl in her late teens. That means physically, she's at a disadvantage and she gets a lot of unwanted attention. She also has next to no abilitiy to use telekenisis, force push, force pull, force grip, heal, levitate, absorb energy, or increase her strength. She can help break her falls with the force, and can use it to help her predict what's likely, but can't tell the future. Just thought I'd clear all this up.

She's also hopeless with a lightsaber but deadly with knives... at one point, I'm going to give her cortos (sp) ore fiber knives... you know, the material that causes lightsabers to short out... that will be FUN

Lord JWolf was train in the way of the Sith by a Dark Jedi Master. It was the one way to kill him and destroyed the Sith Academy. Lord JWolf was send by a Jedi Master to do this.

Obviously they're attacking with blasters. Where are you? that's your choice but the ambush seems obvious (alleyway). First person or third is up to you.

Three darkly cloaked men burst from a door way at the end of the hallway in the Massai temple. Jakaar could sense the evil eminating from then through the force even before they began running at him firing beat up DL44 blaster pistols.

As Jakaar tapped into the force, time seemed to slow down to a crawl. He almost causually ingnited his golden lightsaber, which seemed like a spike of pure lightning, and easily deflect the intial blaster bolts.

Jakaar felt the force flowing through him as he jumped at his assailents, who looked at him in horror, apperantly their employer had not told them their mark was a Jedi.
Jakkar glidded gracefully through the air and decapatated one of the men upon his landing.

The lifeless corpse fell, with little blood oozing from the instantly cauterized neck. The other two men began to run, terrified of this darkly powerful man, but before either of them could move more than a few steps a golden blade sycthed throught the air and split them both asunder.

As the corpses of his assailants steamed and oozed blood Jakaar felt only the frustration that he could never find any truly worthy opponents anymore

Ah, Cortosis ore does stop lightsabre's, but it's useless for just about everything else. Wave yer balde around too much and it'll turn to dust :P .

I was actually planning on giving my character a cortosis plated vibroblade at some point, considering she's hopless with lightsabers... any my bounty hunter has come up with an interesting solution =)

You can't mix Cortosis Ore with Steel, for one it wouldn't work. And even if you could, taking a Jedi on would be , because they'd just cut through the steel parts, and the sword would fall apart. Cortosis armour might be an option, but it'll be easy to Punch through. Yep, it's practically useless. Just invest in some energy shields and heavy armour, that'd help.

Sure you can't mix it... but plating a weapon on it, and then covering it with an industrial strength sealant would work. How many times have you seen a jedi chop through an enemy's weapon? They LOVE to do it. All you need to do is parry their attack with your cortosis ore weapon. Their saber turns off and you go for their throat.

He's not overly interested in power like the Sith are. These Dark Jedi think that survival is key (something that happens when your people has been fighting for its very existence for generations), and knowing as much as you can about your enemies is vital to that end. And unlike the Sith, they don't see the point of just being evil at random people all the time. Arrogant they may be, but they don't go killing people for having funny hats or some other lame excuses like that. They do like... How should I say it... Making life easier for themselves, however. A well placed Force choke or lightning can do wonders.

I would like to point out that Tak'a-Tamen's force, skill and evil are as ageless as he is. I will always conform to the "good guy always wins in the end" rule, but I always love a plot when there is a bad guy who is seemingly invincible, but has a weakness no one knows about until later.

You read my mind, friend. but the main showdown will be after a series of anti-pirate missions, luring the Padawans towards the Darksiders with a few clues. Unfortunately, it looks like Old Tenchi is the first victim of Alex...well, I have to off him sometime.

There is always the "Great" Lord JWolf to help. But I think he and Erik & four robots (Two in the Lord JWolf's room and two on the Wolf One). will go after Alex. Lord JWolf kill a Dark Jedi Master and destroyed his Academy. Plus when Tak'a and Alex get the Jedi Academy, Lord JWolf will have the Dark Jedi Master's helmet on. It will make him look like a Dark Jedi Master.
