After winning a narrow majority in the Council of Communes, the Conservative Communist Party (CCP) and its leader Mark Hawsen, have introuduced a New Economic Policy (NOT LENIN'S) with the approval of its members in the Senate, and with 178 of the 203 independents also approving.
Under this policy the tax rate will be lowered to 84% over the next 5 years,. with moderate individual internal trading allowed.
The Progressive Party, led by the son of General Theodore, Michael Theodore has disclaimed this move as one of counter-revolutionary communism, and an attck on the cause itself.
