To Expand an Empire
“The Empire has expanded to the point where we cannot continue to stay aboard Edenbar without over crowding begins to take hold. With an Empire that is over three billion people, we have reached the point where the Empire can no longer live on a Worldship.”
Another noble, within the House of Nobles, stood, “That is billion of credits down the drain, we should not waste that much money…”
“I agree with my esteemed fellow, yet still, to sacrifice our nation welfare, for the sake of some Credits is absolutely absurd. What I propose is that we go to one of the worlds, that Ortheri bases two and three have found. This system is a system of four planets, a Gas-Giant, an ice world, a volcanic world, and a CH World….”
“CH?”
“CH, it is a stellar code for Completely Habitable.”
“I see, tell us about this world.”
“This world is a temperate world, covered by massive forests, from the surface grow giant trees. It appears on the surface to be completely composed of tree-forms, in actuality, there are also massive oceans, yet even these oceans have tall, kilometer tall, trees growing out of them.”
“Life forms?”
“It is very varied, just as varied as Arda.”
“Is it populated by humans.”
Another noble, different from the two that had been speaking, arose, he was of house Isarinach, stood, “Right, so the situation is simple, invade them, take over the land, then set up our empire there.”
The Kevaran speaker turned, “I disagree, make them Thelasi citizens, fold them into the Empire, make our Empire stronger.” There was a chorus of agreement in the hall. The House Chair nodded, “Alright, in that case, I call a vote.”
As the vote concluded, the Chair spoke, “Then it is agreed, House Kevara will write the recommendation to the Empress.”

(here goes)
Mean wile on the other side of that system the UFS Galaxy (Galaxy class star ship no doubt) Was on a routine patrol of the sector scanning and charting new stars they hadn’t noticed the alien ships how ever because they were out of rage . the ship slowly glided about its nacelles emitting a blue angelic type glow its impulse engines humping a bit as it flew in to the system.
On ship :
Captain bastidas was sitting back in his chair reading some reports he said tiredly to his XO “bester it will be a grate day when we see some thing more interesting than cataloging these systems..
Bester replied “ha.. That ill be the day star fleet wants us to make first contact with new species ..” Rob shook his head, and said “that sounded more fun than it is “ he chuckled. Meanwile the ship continued on its path towards the center of the system.
As expected the Thelasi Empress followed the recomendation of the House of Lords. The martialing began, millions of Thelasi soldiers, shock troops, commandos and support troops. Not only soldiers were assembled, tanks, mecha, assualt transports. The full strength of the Thelasi Empire displayed in one operation.
In orbit, a massive 'rip' in space and time appeared as the Thelasi armada, over six full warfleets, including the Edenbar world-ship itself, apeared. The ships moved around into planetary orbit. Battleships, crusiers, Aiglos assault ship, and the massive Thelasi command-ships. As they circled the planet, the soldiers within the five kilometer long transports began to board the smaller landing craft.
"This is the Thelasi Star Empire to any and all government upon this planet. Surrender imediatly to the Thelasi Star Empire, otherwise face harsh measures, your comunications have been jammed."
In fact, the Thelasi officers were correct, the comunications to and from the planet had been jammed.
Chancellory Building: New Haton, Armenia
New Haton, the capital of the Hattian colony of Armenia was located in a clearing that had taken years and tons upon tons of explosives to create, as were most of the other cities...
High Chancellor Atanov listened to the message that the Thelasi had sent to all the governments on the planet. He sighed and picked up signaled for his secretary.
Atanov quickly scribbled a note and shoved it into the secretary's hands. "Take this to the Minister of War..."
As the secretary left, Atanov muttered, "We shall not be under the grip of an empire, not again..."
----------------------
Ministry of War Building: New Haton, Armenia
Minister of War Morozov looked up at the curious sight of the Chancellor's secretary standing in front of his desk. He had run through the rain and was thoroughly saturated. The secretary placed a slightly wet piece of paper on Morozov's desk.
Morozov picked it up and began to read...
"Bloody hell..."
He took a key out of his pocket and inserted it into the keyhole in one of his desk drawers. He pulled it open and pressed a large red button that was inside...
----------------------
All over the city, and soon the nation, klaxons began blaring in the cities. The Armenians had recieved a new shipment of top of the line atmospheric fighters, and they were currently circling over the capital.
The militia and regular military were marshalling in the cities to defend their homes. The fact that Armenia adopted Hattia's policy of no gun control whatsoever meant that an invasion and occupation would be rather costly, and that fact kept most invaders away.
The defenses were ready, the troops were ready, the nation was ready...
----------------------
Executive Building, Haton, Earth
The Prime Minister peered curiously at the reports which had come up from the Ministry of Commerce. They had been communicating with the Armenians and suddenly the communications ceased. They had attempted to contact the colony, but to no avail.
He was going to take up his advisors advice to send a battlefleet to see what was going on. Something like the communications of an entire planet being cut off didn't happen often.
He stamped the document sitting on the desk in front of him and fed it into the fax machine...
----------------------
Above Earth
The 5th Battlefleet, under the able command of Star Admiral Zaitsev assembled near one of the Republic's many space stations. Zaitsev, a rather impetous character was quite angry at being sent on a menial task such as this.
He sat in the bridge of his flagship, the HNSC Spirit of the Revolution. He glanced at the instruments, all appeared well. The smaller ships had assembled inside the formation created by the three huge Nemesis class Battleships which were the main ships of the fleet.
He radioed the Captains of the other ships, all was good.
If one were looking at this scene from outside, they would've seen the ships appear to distort for a moment before dissappearing...

Yes, and I didn't communicate with them for that reason...

Five Civilized Nations
18-09-2004, 00:00
The Five Civilized Nations, Echo Class Cruiser, the Guardian cruised powerfully through space on a routine patrol, its powerful fusion engines speeding it smoothly through space. Its commanding officer, Captain James Albritton lounged lazily in his command chair, waiting patiently for something to happen on what seemed to be nothing more than a routine patrol through space. But Albritton felt something was not right, nervous about this particular patrol. Gnawing at his lower lip, Albritton gazed down at the console attached to his command chair, checking over the information that the sensors were inputing into the central AI computer. With a nervous laugh to cover up his unease, Albritton stood and stretched, satisfied that nothing was going to happen.
Suddenly, the communications officer reported in. "Sir, we have an intercepted communications from a Thelasi warship to a planet... The planet is a Class V planet named Regulan in the Dasun System by our mapmakers. Sir, the message is incredibly hostile..."
"Alright... I'll listen to it..." replied Albritton as he swiftly played the message on his console. With growing horror, Albritton shook his head, partly in shock and partly in respect for the audacity of the Thelasi. Muttering crossly to himself, Albritton turned to his crew. "It looks like we will have to intervene." Addressing his helmsman, he said, "Ensign, full speed ahead, I want to arrive at Regulan before the Thelasi from launching an attack on the planet."
"Aye, sir."
The Guardian sped through his space, accelerating as it approached the outskirts of the Dasun System, its powerful engines bringing the warship into the system, as it moved to prevent the Thelasi from a forced annexation.
OOC: As I am seeing more people jump in, this RP has a set ending, the Thelasi will conquer the planet... so don't get your hopes up about stopping the Thelasi... this has been pre-agreed with the defending player, so if you are getting involved, please know this...
Force Commander Kenzarian stood at his station on the bridge of the Fist of Justice, he had a feeling that the humans wouldn’t respond, Thus is nature of humans, stiff-necked, can’t realize when their own doom stares them in the face. He turned, looking at the three displays on the bridge, Tactical, Strategic, Operational.
The Operational map was quickly filling up with data about planetary defenses. The interpreters at TMI were working over time to deliver up to date intelligence. As the data was compiled, the massive Strategic Artificial Intelligences that served the fleet were working overtime, assigning targets and co-coordinating the thousands of planned strikes.
Six fleets was Kenzarian’s thought, Six Thelasi Battle-fleets, all trained on them… oh yes… if were you, commander, I would be afraid, very afraid. He turned to look at the tactical maps. They were flashing between targeted locations, informing Kenzarian of the situations at these targets. Slowly, he looked at the Strategic map, this also flashed between locations, although this time these locations were entire continents. Armor divisions, naval units, air squadrons, all were displayed.
Kenzarian once again turned back to look at the bridge. Sighing, he walked back to his chair, I hate giving this order… Over the loud-speakers his voice echoed, “All stations, prepare for planetary assault.”
Klaxons blared throughout the ship as troops moved from ‘waiting’ stations into their battle stations. Many messages were relayed along the ships intercom systems, calling soldiers to stations, ordering cargo containers into position. Massive shells were moved through enclosed, armored, tunnels.
As the warships floated into position, massive gun-panels began to open as turrets extended into a ‘ready’ position. Kenzarian sighed as a Thelasi officer turned to his commanding officer, “Milord, all stations ready. We await your command.”
“Fire” With that one word the Thelasi warships roared to life. Massive cannons fired, again and again large kinetic shells were sent rocketing towards the planet. On all sides of the planet the large warships fired. The shells were guided once they reached the atmosphere, hitting their targets with pin-point precision.
First targeted were air-defense stations, anti-air cannons and missile bases were hit. Command targets were next, bunkers and command centers were hit. Then the military bases were targeted, specifically air bases and star-ports. Yet specifically some were spared.
Thelasi forces were careful to avoid civilian targets, purposefully targeting only military installations. They did not want the population resenting the invaders… yet
Still, on board the ships, the troops and star-fighters waited.

(OOC: What planet are you actually attacking, Thelasi?)
"Jesus Christ," muttered the sensory officer, as he watched his console, detailing a spike in energy signatures over the explorer named planet of Regulan. Turning his chair around, the officer hailed the captain, "Sir, we have a large increase in energy signatures over Regulan... Sir, the Thelasi have opened fire..."
"What in god's tarnation do these bloody elves think they're doing!?! There are thousands of uncolonized and habitable planets in the universe, but they have to launch an attack on such a planet," said Captain Albritton crossly. With a weary sigh of acceptance, Captain Albritton glanced at his communications officer. "Get me a direct channel to the flagship of the Thelasi armada. I want to have a little talk with those idiots..."
"Aye sir."
Immediately, the Guardian hailed the Thelasi flagship, as it slowly decelerated, keeping its distance from the Thelasi armada.
This is Captain Jonas Albritton, commanding officer of the CNSS-3091 Guardian, on a routine patrol through the Vi Transpace Corridor. You have launched unprovoked attack upon a neutral and inhabited planet. Please state clearly your intentions.

The ship shuddered as it dropped out of lightspeed. Zaitsev looked in amazement at the huge fleet arrayed against his own and the planet.
"Communications Officer! Tell the home country that we are going to need more help..."
He sighed and activated his own radio, he would hold this area as long as he could, or die trying...
He sent out a message to the Thelasi in the most official sounding voice that he could manage.
You are violating territory of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Hattia.
Withdraw immediately or be fired upon!

Planetary Surface
The planet itself shook as the Thelasi began their bombardment, Chancellor Atanov, along with the Minister of War huddled in a cellar in one of the houses of the city. He jumped slightly whenever one of the rounds impacted nearby.
The Armenians could not and would not mount an effective defense against such a large fleet. The few spacecraft that they possessed would be ripped to shreds instantly, and they were preparing to try to fend off any transports that attempted to land, and they were sure some would try.
His message was answered by a hoarse laugh,
"This is Admiral Barensiam to Admiral Zaitsev, you will be happy to know that communications channels are blocked. You will receive no aid in your endeavor.* Now, I warn you, surrender your fleet, or your ships will be destroyed, and your officers captured. I offer you an honorable surrender, you are outmatched and you do not have a chance. If you surrender, your crew will be held as guests within the Star Empire, and at the end of this conflict, you will be released. If you do not surrender, and are captured by force. You will be treated as POWs."
The fleets continued firing, their shells looking like small meteors as they light up the night-sky above the Capital. Finally, Force Commander Kenzarian had had enough of the bombardment. He knew that with each shell, people were getting killed, be they military or not. He radioed the planet, secure with the knowledge that Admiral Barensiam could destroy the relief fleet.
“This is Force Commander Kenzarian to any and all remaining members of the defending government. This bombardment is but a taste of our power, to prevent further bloodshed, I suggest that you surrender yourselves immediately and lay down your arms. Otherwise, the bombardment will continue, and other measures will need to be taken.”
Two of the six fleets in orbit pulled away from the planet, moving to intercept the Hattian relief force. They had left their transports behind them, waiting with the rest of the fleet. Close to the planet could be seen Edenbar, the massive world-ship of the Thelasi.

Zaitsev smirked as he listened to the Thelasi reply. He chuckled a bit and sent back his reply.
You will be happy to know, Admiral, that every man and woman on this ship relishes the thought of dying to defend their countrymen. There is no such thing as an honorable surrender to us. You have obviously never fought us before.
I am glad that I get the chance to test myself against you, Admiral..."
He ended the message and looked over at the helmsman. "Fire everything we have at them once they are in range and then prepare to retreat. We can't beat them now..."
The massive battleships, bristling with weaponry, and with many smaller ships surrounding them began to move towards the fleets send to intercept them.
Once the Thelasi entered range, the battleships fired their massive ion cannons, sending lances of blue out to impale the enemy ships. This was followed by a barrage of anti-ship missiles. Once this was done, they would turn and beat a fighting retreat.
Generally, when faced with surrender or death, most Hattians would choose death, but now that they had three choices, they would not hesitate to retreat if the situation demanded it...
-----------
New Haton, Regulan
The capitol was in ruins, the skeletons of burned out and collapsed buildings littered the once great city, smoke billowed up from the fires now raging throughout the area. The city was also near deserted, most of the people had fled into the wilderness with their weapons and what little of the military they could muster. The scene in the other major cities was also quite similar to this one,
In a final act of defiance, the Chancellor had ordered the firing of the nation's few anti-ship missiles towards the Thelasi. They would do little damage, being mainly for dealing with pirates and such. After that order had been given, he followed suit and fled the city himself.
The Thelasi warships moved ahead, as the ion beams hit them their magnetic sheilds came to life, absorbing some of the energy before it hit the hull. When they did, the larger ships apeared to shrug them off, continuing ahead with only minor burns on their thick armor plating. The smaller ship were affected, several of the destroyers and crusiers were hit, taking damage, mostly to unprotected portions of their superstructure.
As the slow missiles arched their way twoards the fleets, anti-missile cannons sprang into action, knocking many of the missiles down before they came into contact. Those that did come into contact, not that many of them made it that far, did medium damage, several of the battlecrusiers suffered light damage, and many crusiers had entire section of first layer armor plate blown away.
The Thelasi Commander had waited untill the enemy fired for a reason. Even though the enemy fleet had been in range since the offer of surender, the Thelasi commander had decided not to tip his hand.
With a suddeness common of Thelasi deployments, the warships fired. Sending large shells, armed with massive Hydrogen warheads hurtling at speed just below the speed of light, twoards the Hattian fleet.
After the initial barrage the swarm of fighters launched from the fleet deployed. Hundreds of AF-1 Space-Superiority and medium bombers were luanched, the bombers carrying anti-capital ship torpedos.
As they reached the Hattian fleet the swerved in amongst them, aiming for the engines of the larger vessels, the fighters targeted other fighters, their pilots linked directly into the fighter itself, through DNI units.
As the fighters engadged, the main portion of the Thelasi Fleet closed in, aiming to get in and amongst the Hattian fleet. Even asthey approached, their cannons continued to fire, sending hundreds of h-bomb tipped shells, large and small, at the enemy.
"A report about Thelasi hostile actions against unknown forces has arrived, Sire", said the assistant as he finished his martial salute in the edge of the platform of the bridge inside the huge and marvellous Aelosian Flagship.
"We have been watching them from quite a while. Their alliance with the so called Istari of the Stars proved to be wrong, as I told the High Command. I wonder if we should take strong actions this time. To let the Thelasi to rearm was a mistake by any means, they're as feral and stubborn as a wild troll. At least we also have improved our old toys, and even have new ones. Watch them closely, and prepare the fleet to jump near the fray. We won't get involved, but I don't want to see any nasty surprises around those Thelasi warships, for their sake or not. We can go to help them, or to help their enemies, depending on the situation", answered the ArchDuke Admiral of the Fleet, former ShadowPrince Kithail Hyral, with a half smile growing in the left side of his grinning lips.
He finally pushed the white, carefully crafted button of the speaker, sending a comm message to all stations. "This is the Captain of the ship, prepare to jump across the warp, coordinates given following the protocol. It's a case of Middle Alert, as we chances of encountering hostiles is high. To the escort group, don't engage any enemy without receiving direct orders, for now this is a surveillance mission", he finished the message writing the coordinates in the holo screen, the coordinates of the supposed Thelasi fleet.
Five Civilized Nations

"Holy shit," muttered Captain Albritton as he watched in horror. This is not good... This act of war so close to our stellar shipping lines will adversely effect our lines of communications with our Earth colonies... This has to stop. With a snort of disgust, Captain Albritton began barking out orders, as he replied curtly to the Thelasi message.
To Commander Kenzarian, you have launched an unwarranted assault against an inhabited, peaceful planet. You have violated the codes of conduct. Therefore, you are considered an enemy. We will meet on the battlefield and settle this violation... Out...
With speed that belied its bulk, the Guardian cruised into action, as its crew powered up the vessel's multitudes of weaponry and defenses. As the Guardian entered into range of the Thelasi warships, it opened fire with a substantial fusillade of beam, kinetic, and chemical weapons.
Meanwhile, a short message was sent to the government of the Five Civilized Nations, to inform it of the situation brewing in the Dasun System.
TO: THE CITADEL OF CALA, DESK OF THE DEFENSE MINISTER
FROM: CAPTAIN JONAS ALBRITTON, CO OF THE CNSS-3091 GUARDIAN
THE THELASI HAVE LAUNCHED AN UNWARRANTED PLANETARY ASSAULT AGAINST THE PLANET OF REGULAN IN THE DASUN SYSTEM NEAR THE VI TRANSPACE CORRIDOR. REQUEST IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE. FACING MAJOR THELASI BATTLE FLEET...
CAPTAIN ALBRITTON SENDS.
The kinetics did little damage to the Thelasi ships, glancing harmlessly off of curved hull plating, their trajectories disperssed by magnetic sheilding surrouning the Thelasi vessels, which had their smooth starboard sides facing the Five Civilised Nations vessel. The chemicals did more damage, denting hull plating, and even doing significant damage to the smaller Thelasi warships.
The particle weapons did the most damage, their energy beams destroying several smaller Thelasi ships. At first it appeared that the Thelasi ships were unable to return fire, their gun batteries already engadged with the Hattian fleet. Yet suddenly it was realised that the Captain had made a grave error. By not knowing the Thelasi gun ranges, he had placed his ship within the range of the Thelasi guns.
"Commander of FCN Vessel, you have sealed your fate" The admiral turned slowly in his chair, looking over his displays, "Weapons, reveal starboard gun batteries." Slowly the starboard turrest of the warships extended, revealing their armored skin, "All batteries, fire at will." As the guns fired, those same anti-matter shells that had hit the Hattian fleet fired twoards the FCN ship, except this time, the entire fleets weapons were aimed at one vessel.
"Ventral guns, extend and fire at will" Now the ventral guns of the ship extended, rotating as one, they opened fire on the FCN ship.
Nearby, at the gass giant, another Thelasi fleet warped in, recently arrived from the resolved Taurenori situation. They began heading twoards the Hattian fleet, cutting them off.

(OOC: Thelas, unless its a broad-based jamming system that stops a myriad of communications systems, it is virtually impossible to stop this jamming from occurring. In addition, the jamming cannot be specific. This means that virtually all short and long-range communications should be stopped... And another thing, Thelas, can you at least give warning that you have another fleet coming into the system? Its bad etiquette to have something appear out of nowhere, even though in real life that's what happens...)
The Guardian was caught by surprise. Due to the fact that the Five Civilized Nations had never operated alongside or against Thelasi warships, they did not really know what to expect. When the initial fusillade was fired, a mark of joy appeared on the face of the crew of the Guardian. But the euphoria soon faded when the appearance of another Thelasi battle fleet was detected on the sensors. With a cry of mixed horror and anger, the Guardian accelerated as it attempted to evade the fire from the Thelasi warship which now turned their attention to it.
Soon, the vessel shuddered as hundreds of anti-matter shells crashed into the outer layer of shielding. With a shudder, the shield flickered and disintegrated, as the anti-matter shells penetrated deep into the inner layer. As the Guardian twisted with its multi-directional manuevering thrusters, it continued to be pelted by the anti-matter shells. With a last flicker, the inner shield collapsed and the assault cruiser was at the mercy of the Thelasi weaponry. With a last effort, the cruiser launched its wing of seventy-two interceptors and fighters along with its corp of sixty mobile suits. The last anti-matter shell launched smashed into the starboard side of the vessel, shattering a battery of mega particle beam cannons.
Doggedly, the Guardian continued to fight on, slowly powering up its trio of NovaBurst Beam Cannons as the turrets swiveled to bring them to bear upon the Thelasi fleet...
HNSC. Spirit of the Revolution
"Incoming!"
Zaitsev was thrown from his chair as the huge ship shuddered from the impact of the barrage. He climbed back into his chair, cursing profusely. He brought up the status screen and grimaced, "Bloody hell..."
The screen showed that the outer level of shields had completely collapsed, and the inner level was damaged also.
"Bring us along side, give them a broadside, launch the fighters, keep those bombers off of us..."
-------------
Many of the smaller ships were engulfed instantly in the bombardment, their shields and armor not meant to take that kind of punishment. The light from the explosions revealing battle scars on the surviving ships, black streaks over the polished hulls.
The Spirit shifted to the side and the other two battleships (The Hammer of the Proletariat, and the Freedom) followed suit. Several streams of air could be seen flowing from the Freedom, meaning that parts of her shields had been completely punctured. Now the Thelasi were in range of their short range weaponry, hundreds of turrets swiveled and began pouring fire down on the Thelasi.
The destroyer "Lancer" moved out of formation, along with 2 other ships of the same types and several flak frigates, attempting to get around to either the side or behind the Thelasi formations.
H-1 Space Superiority fighters swarmed out of the ships and towards the Thelasi bombers, completely ignoring the fighters, while Defender class Flak Frigates fought their way into the fray, spraying fire at any Thelasi craft that dared enter their range.
As the newcoming Thelasi fleet was detected, the Hammer disengaged and moved to cover the sides and rear of the fleet.
Silent and almost undetected, fast and deadly, the slim silouettes of the eldar designed, yet elven crewed, aelosian ships appeared at a sizeable distance of the stellar shootout between the Hattian and the Thelasi fleet, only floating in the space waiting for a sizeable opportunity to enter the fray.
The huga and impressive form of the Flagship, a great behemont showing its bright solar wings deployed at their full length, the three cruisers guarding the flanks of the mothership looking like fireflies escorting a huge butterfly, the smaller forms of the several frigates and destroyers floating amongst them...

"Sir, we have what seems to be Aelosian warships entering the system... Sir, we can't take much more of this... If the Aelosian warships entered the system, we're lost..."
"I know that, god damn't," replied Captain Albritton testily as he calmly surveyed his console, reading over the damage the Guardian had suffered. Both of the Guardian's shields had been shattered by the Thelasi assault, in addition to three lines of mega particle beam cannon batteries. Engineering had taken a big hit with two of the three fusion reactors out of action. Disgusted Captain Albritton turned to his communications officer and said, "Get me the Aelosian commander..."
FROM: CAPTAIN ALBRITTON, CO OF THE CNSS-3091 GUARDIAN
TO: AELOSIAN FORCE COMMANDER
THELASI FORCES HAVE LAUNCHED AN UNEXPLICABLE AND UNWARRANTED ASSAULT UPON AN INHABITED PLANET.
MANY CIVILIAN CASUALTIES.
STATE THE NATURE OF YOUR PRESENCE.
ARE YOU A FRIEND OR FOE?
THE UNIVERSE WONDERS...
The Force Commander Kenzarian sighed, “More meddling parties to deal with… and this time it has to be the Aelosians…” He swiveled his chair, checking to make sure that the Acharn group was in position, then he brought up a holographic control unit, contacting the Aelosian fleet,
“This is Force Commander Kenzarian to Commander, Aelosian fleet, welcome to the Ishatrin system. It appears that you have caught us at a bad moment… At any rate, we are engaged with two enemy forces, and are preparing for a planetary assault, wish to render any assistance?”
Mean while, aboard the Retribution (The first Thelasi fleet) things were a bit chaotic. The sound from the guns firing echoed through the ship, to a human it would sound like a low pitched hum, but to the elves it sounding like a high-pitched wining noise. The ships guns continued to fire, the automatic loading machines shoving new shells into the launch barrels as soon as the old shells had cleared the end of the barrel.
On the bridge things were not much different. Information flooded into the command center of the ship, the tactical officer shouted over the sound of the guns, “SIR! Enemy ships are flanking.” The admiral nodded, yelling into his headset, “Port batteries, retarget for enemy ships to flank, fire at will!”
The starboard turrets on the Battle-cruiser Atronach slowly, deliberately swiveled around targeting the flanking enemy destroyers. With a concussion that actually shifted the Thelasi ships to starboard, they fired
As the fire from the Hammer of the Proletariat, Freedom hit the Thelasi warships, the last of the smaller destroyers blew to pieces, two frigates were destroyed, and the battle-cruiser Wraith had its engines blown away. Yet even then the Thelasi had a retaliation, more gun batteries swiveled around, targeting the enemy ships, they fired.
Meanwhile, the Acharn group entered weapons range with the FCN ship, the Admiral, in command of the Acharn radioed the FCN ship, “This is Thelasi fleet admiral Ramorin, Five Civilized Nations craft, you are outnumbered and outgunned, please surrender to prevent further bloodshed, if you do, you and your crew will be treated as honored guests within the Thelasi Star Empire. If you do not, you and your men will likely die as your vessel is destroyed.”
As if to emphasize his point the Acharn group slowly game about, moving at an angle to the FCN vessel, not perpendicular, but cockeyed enough to allow the Thelasi to deliver a full broadside from all of their turrets.
The Hattian fighters had engaged the Thelasi bombers. Said bombers were slow but had turrets. To add to the difficulty of the attack the Thelasi fighters had turned, engaging the Hattian fighters. It was a furious dog-fight, in and around the massive capital ship of both sides, as they neared each other.
OOC: Okay, about the jamming thing, forget I said that, I did a little bit of research and am too tired to summon up my physics book…
Five Civilized Nations

The Thelasi had quite evidently overlooked the presence of an entire wing of interceptors and attack fighters that had been launched by the Guardian along with sixty mecha of two types. With surprising speed, the interceptors and attack fighters joined the fray, entering into the confused situation between the Thelasi and Hattian spacecraft, as they weaved through, their weaponry firing continuously. Meanwhile, the sixty mecha accelerated, heading swiftly for the Thelasi warships that were attempting to block the Guardian. Cruising swiftly and weaving, the sixty mecha opened fire with their myriad of weaponry, plasma, beam, and particle cannons, as they attempted to evade the returning fire.
When the message from the Thelasi was received by the Guardian, Captain Albritton scoffed, sneering in disgust as he swiftly composed a terse and insulting return message.
The soldiers of the Five Civilized Nations do not submit to Thelasi dogs. We will never surrender... We will fight till the end...
Immediately, the Guardian accelerated, aimed at the Acharn Group, with the sole purpose of taking as many Thelasi warships as possible, firing the bow guns as well as completing the powering of the NovaBurst Heavy Beam Cannons...
OOC: Oooh... Mecha... shiny...
IC:
The admiral was slightly surprised by the fighter and Mecha attack, he had figured that the AF-1 fighters would be knocked out, but he had hoped that they would allow the bombers to make it through, which they did, although barely.
The admiral turned, he had hoped to save his own Raven units for later… but it seemed that time was not on his side. “Docking command, deploy Mecha” As the order was given, small doors on the side of the warships opened, deploying several hundred Raven Mecha into space. The Mecha themselves were designed as Fighter and Mecha killers, nimble enough to track fighters, yet with enough punch to knocked out Mecha. They engaged the FCN forces, firing small missiles and mass-driven slugs at the enemy.
Meanwhile, the Acharn fleet fire broadside after broadside at the approaching ship. This time though, the fleet was arrayed with the largest battleships, the command-ship, and the battle-cruisers closest to the enemy, so they absorbed the harshest of the fire. Their armor was thick, thick enough to deflect most of the shots, although they still took damage.
The Retribution fleet turned several of their guns and fired at the FCN vessel that was moving away from them, although now, they were more concerned by the Hattian fleet. From the Acharn group, five of the destroyers moved away, darting out to cut off the Hattian fleet. As they moved in, they fired a salvo of sub-space torpedoes. These torpedoes disappeared into subspace as soon as they were fired, and thus, were immune to anti-missile systems, the only problem was, they were unguided, although hopefully they would strike an enemy ship in the mass of fighting vessels.

OOC: Origonal designs bought from him, modified by Thelasi engineers, all this bfore he got invaded... and I IGNOREd him...

Zaitsev watched the battle unfold from the bridge. They were taking and dishing out heavy damage. The Nemesis battleships were designed for exactly this kind of fighting, and they were showing it. While the deflector shields had been pierced in several areas, the thick skeleton of the ship could still take a huge amount of damage.
The Admiral activated his comm system. "All ships, target enemy flagship. I say again, target enemy flagship..."
They would not be able to last much longer in this fight, they had to decapitate the enemy and hopefully that would cause enough chaos to allow them to retreat.
He switched frequencies and attempted to send out a message to the Five Civilized Nations' ship.
"Five Civilized Nations ship, we are attempting to destroy the enemy flagship, it should give us enough time to retreat. This fight is hopeless, we will cover your escape. Please bring word of what is going on to our homeland.
-----------
The blue ion cannons lanced out once more, not at various enemy ships this time, but at the enemy flagship. Many blue rays of concentrated energy lept towards the Thelasi flagship in an attempt to decapitate the enemy and finish the battle quickly. The other ships began to turn their weaponry on the flagship. What was left of the fighters and a few smaller ships were breaking off from the huge melee in the middle of the fleet and headed off to cover the Guardian.
Once the ion cannons were exhausted once more, the Freedom, which was the most heavily damaged of the battleships attempted to break out with her squadron of several destroyers and cruisers, going out the back of the formation, smashing anything in it's path in an attempt to get beyond the reach of the gravity well of the planet...
Kithail Hyral smiled. Just a little jump in the space, near a developing conflict, and now several hundreds, maybe thousands lives were in his hands. He knew that now he had the power to turn the tide of the disputed battle, as both adversaries wee evenly matched, and the help of the small yet powerful and determined aelosian contingent would disbalance the scale.
The Nimloth, a huge mass of wraithbone moving through the outer space as easily as a fly moving through the air, turned to face both fleets engaging each other, two Shadow Class cruisers and an Eclipse carrier easily following the same direction, the fighters and bombers starting to swarm around the nose of the latter space dreadnought. The frigates and the destroyer squadrons eaily deployed around the sides of the Flagship, guarding its flank against fast and maneouvrable attacks from the opposition.
The Admiral Hyral studied Thelasi warships the last months before he started the chase of them through the galaxy, and now found out that the aelosian warships were with no doubt the fastest and the most maneouvrable of all the ships present in that battle. As usual, the Thelasi ships, even using probable Yngir upgrades, were heavily armed, and probably armoured if the C'tan lend them the help of the reactive hulls of the tombships, yet they moved even slower than the heavy and lumbering mothership of the aelosian fleet. The human counterparts didn't look to be faster, neither better, clearly similar in design to most human ships the Admiral had seen in all the years of spacefaring at his back.
Of course, the ArchDuke Admiral also knew that his fleet wouldn't withstand a close quarter battle with the fleets that were engaging each other in the next space quadrant. Although the weaponry of the eldar ships were easily a match to any weapon they could throw at him, with no doubt the higher resilience and armor of the opposing ships would let them to stay together until the fragile eldar spaceships were destroyed.
Kithail also knew that the fate of the battle was in his hands, and even the smallest effort he could do would turn the tide of the battle towards a different end, due to the matched forces that were pitched in front of him. He was pounding who to support, and who to attack, then a communication arrived...
"Looks like a SOS message from one of the human fleets present out there, Admiral. they want our help against an unprovoked and clearly unwarranted assault of the Thelasi against this zone of their territory. Are you going to answer, Sire?", said the second is command as fast as he read the message in the communication holoscreen.
"Ignore them for now, even if I decide to support them, I wouldn't say it to them. Keep all communications in silence. Use the eldar cypher to send the instructions to the fleet. Load the torpedoes into the tubes, and start to heat the Lance weapons. Most important, turn on the holofields and place all ships into sunsiding speed. We're going to decide this battle once and for all. Just a barrage will be enough to let the opposing fleet to wrap the rest of the survivors and win the battle. Take the coordinates of the advance", were the orders of the Admiral as his gloved and armoured hand served as a support for his chin, adopting a bored position.
"This coordinates will send us to the middle of the fray, my Lord, this is too risky!", exclaimed the second in command, unable to believe the numbers and the eldar runes inscribed in the paper.
"Great tacticians develop great tactics. If everybody remain in their post and obey their orders, it will be a marvelous surprise. Now advance at sunsiding speed and fire at my command. First a wave of torpedoes, then batteries accompanied by lance fires. Aircraft and droids will be the last wave of attack, Is that clear. No matter what happens, we will have the initiative and the first shot. Prepare your weapons, gentlemen, we have a battle to win", was the only answer from the handsome, grim and mysterious elf, with no doubt a strange, yet wonderful, military mind.
The aelosian fleet moved forwards until their approach vector was exactly parallel and was at the same distance of the Thelasi fleet and the human counterpart. The speed of the eldar ships was amazing, almost cutting the dark matter of the void as they raced towards their objetive. Finally, the torpedo tubes were opened, and the lances and the battery cannons were ready and heated to launch their first barrage...until the unique, simple word came out of the mouth of the elven admiral sitted in the throne of the magnificent flagship.
"Fire"...
OOC: And who are you firing at Aelosia? Wasn't quite clear... although then again, I am about to fall asleep at my computer, so it may be just me

(OOC: After reading over his post a couple of times, I think Aelosia is attacking you Thelas, unless I'm mistaken...)
OOC: The intentions of the Admiral aren't clear, of course, and that post was intentionally written to leave the question of against which fleet he's firing at...Anyway, I'll response to your curiosity here.
IC:
The fleet finished its move, and twenty torpedoes raced through the void to meet their targets, the high and advanced "Dodge and Avoid" systems of the eldar mechanisms integrated into the torpedoes' heads allowing them to stay out of the way of most of the turret fire and anti ordnance defense systems of the enemy ships.
When the torpedoes reached half the distance required to hit their targets, the laser and slug batteries of the Aelosian fleet opened fire to provide coverage to the deadly charge of the torpedoes, trying to hit...The Hattian and Five Civilized Nation fleets, mainly the ships that were guarding the flank of the human fleets against a possible Thelasi attack.
The heavier punch of the Lance cannons pressed hard slightly seconds after the batteries' constant fire started, hoping to hit the ships after the lighter weapons disabled the enemy's shields, the stronger power of a Lance discharge capable of delivering a considerable amount of damage to any exposed hull.
"That's enough for an ambush, let's see how they answer. I hate to help those Thelasi, but don't have any other option. It's them or the Nightfearers, and we will have plenty of chances and opportunities to deal with the Thelasi expansionism later", was the only answer of the Admiral to his command crew, as the lights of the laser discharges illuminated the outer space around them, the beams of energy almost as attractive as the fireworks of a carnival.

(OOC: Good job helping murderers there... BTW, only one of my warships is in system... My entire fleet is a long way off...)
The Guardian shuddered under the onslaught of the Thelasi weaponry, its superstructure crumbling under the attacks. Fires had spread throughout the cruiser, as explosions rocked the vessel. With a massive explosion, the entire rear of the cruiser split off, drifting off on a tangent, away from the Guardian. Crippled, without engines and power, it was quite evident that the Guardian was doomed...
Cursing the Thelasi under his breath, Captain Albritton sat doggedly on at his command chair on the bridge, attempting to breathe through the smoke that the damaged ventilation systems were unable to clear. With a sigh of resignation, Captain Albritton watched as the Aelosian warships entered the fray. Brightening slightly, Albritton hoped that the Aelosians could turn the tide. But with growing horror, Albritton's eyes widened as he saw the Aelosian attack only the humans vessels. With a foul curse, Albritton closed his eyes, quickly dictating a missive to the Citadel of Cala.
TO: THE DESK OF THE DEFENSE MINISTER
FROM: CAPTAIN JONAS ALBRITTON, CO OF THE CNSS-3091 GUARDIAN
AELOSIAN TREACHERY HAS DESTROYED ALL HOPE.
REGULAN WILL BE LOST TO THELASI AGGRESSION...
GUARDIAN CRIPPLED AND WILL BE SELF DESTRUCTED...
And with a sharp curse, Albritton sent a broad communications with the Aelosian warships.
You have attacked the Five Civilized Nations, an event that will never be forgotten. From this day forth, a feud will begin between our nations. May you make the best of this war that will now begin...
Without another word, Albritton slammed his hand onto a button which began the self-destruct.
After a minute, the Guardian exploded. The ball of fire expanded and slowly dissipated and what remained of the Guardian disappeared into the flames...
"First one down", said the voice of the second in command aboard the Nimloth, the bridge filled with officers taking readings and coordinating the second part of the attack, the sending of qualified bombers to do the mopping up of the remaining forces.
"We didn't hit that cruiser that hard. At least I didn't expect it to explode that way. Unless it had a exposed core, probably the crew decided to blow it up. A shame, too many lives wasted, maybe they thought we don't take prisoners. Anyway, good job to the firing crew, for sure it was a crippling blow to create such reaction. Now we can add another name to the list of kills of the Nimloth, be sure to steal the credit from the Thelasi", was the answer of the Admiral after analyzing the lectures about the dissapearance of the Guardian.
"Sire, a message arrived from the dissapeared ship. Looks like a threat, and looks like they weren't Hattian, they were a cruiser sent to help the Hattians from the Five Civilized Nations...I don't know if the diplomatic department will like this one...", said a worried officer of the communications department as he scratched the back of his head.
"It doesn't matter", said the Admiral Hyral, smiling now broadly, seeing victory at hand. "I'm sure the courtiers will deal with that later. For now, recharge the Torpedo tubes and reheat the lance batteries again. Switch course to the new coordinates I'm sending you, first the escorts, then the cruisers".
"Are...Are you sure, Admiral?. This is again a risky move", was the answer of the pilot, his eyes wide opened at the coordinates shown in the screen.
"Of course it is, and you should begin to get used to it, with me all tactics are risky, mostly when, as now, we lack numbers and enough firepower to win the day", said the Admiral, a steel resolve marked in his eyes.

(OOC: I still have units in the area, specifically an embattled wing of fighters and interceptors and sixty mobile suit mecha...)
The two squadrons of Doven Wolf Mobile Suits and three squadrons of Jegan-Refit Mobile Suits accelerated to their limit as they struggled to evade the missiles and kinetic weaponry from the Thelasi mecha. With great difficulty the Doven Wolves broke away from the Thelasi mecha, leaving behind seven crippled or destroyed units as they moved. With surprising speed, the seventeen remaining Doven Wolves moved above the Thelasi warships and screamed down, their beam and particle weaponry firing continuously as they attacked.
Meanwhile, the surviving Jegans stopped attempting to flee and closed in upon the Thelasi Raven mecha, drawing their beam sabers and heat hawks as they moved in for close combat.
Near the Hattian fleet, the decimated five squadrons of Raptor fighters and Corsair interceptors raced through space, engaging in devastating and bone-chilling dogfights with the Thelasi fighters and warships.
The battle now became one of attrition, which the Five Civilized Nations could not win. With fewer numbers, nothing could be achieved but an honorable death, to which the pilots of the mobile suits and fighters gladly fought towards...
--Edge of the Dasun System--
The second of the newest Drake Class Escort Frigates cautiously exited hyperspace, its powerful Dual Minovsky FTL drives shutting down as the warship entered into realspace. The warship's name was the Cala, the 3515 warship commissioned for the Combined Five Civilized Nations Navy. Measuring merely 475 meters long, the warship was not a large one, but it more than made up for it with an assortment of anti-starfighter batteries.
Captain Avaras Torrigan, a middle-aged woman who had originally been relegated to a minor instructor role in the naval academy at the city of North Watch. But with recent events, Avaras Torrigan had been promoted to a captaincy aboard the Cala, an honor not lost upon the captain.
Swiftly, the Cala's Echo Sublight drives increased its power, as the warship accelerated through space, bound for Regulan.
Zaitsev shuddered along with his ship. "Status report!" he roared. A young man of about twenty-five responded, "Not good, the superstructure is failing, shields are down."
Zaitsev sighed and ran his hand through his thinning hair, this would be his last command. "Send orders to... set the autopilot to move the fleet into the Thelasi fleet and self destruct. Everyone to the escape pods, all fighters make their way to the planet by any means possible."
He sighed once more and stood up. He, along with his staff rushed to the escape pods. As he stood in front of the pod, he patted the bulkhead and climbed in.
--------------
Outside, the fighter pilots, seeing the hopelessness of trying to make it to the planet, they flung themselves towards the Thelasi, going down in a blaze of glory. Meanwhile, the Spirit, Hammer, and Freedom began to single-mindedly push their way towards the Thelasi fleet. Pride of the Republican fleet, they had one last mission.
The escape pods jettisoned by the hundreds from the various surviving ships of the doomed fleet, appearing to be only specks in comparison to the massive ships. Pulled by the gravity of the planet, and their guiding boosters, they rocketed towards Regulan and temporary freedom.
Though the addition of the many armed, well trained marines, spacefarers and officers to the forces on the planet might prove to be a thorn in the Thelasi's side...

OOC: Point C'tan up to the 'OOC: Closed RP'
Now shoo, ask me next time...
EDIT: Post forthcoming
OOC: I forgott to add something...
THIS RP IS PREDETERMINED the Thelasi will win, so if you are entering to gum up the works in some way *glares at the C'tan*, you better realise that the Thelasi are going to win, and if you have a problem with this TG me...
And also, every one who joins, ask me first why don't you?
Aboard the Thelasi warships, confusion reigned, guns fired, their high-pitched shreeks sounding through the Thelasi battleships. It was a sort of organised chaos as the gravitic accelerators lobbed the shells out of the massive cannons.
The Fleet Admiral watched silently as the battleships moved twoards his fleet... "What hell..." Then as he saw the small escape pods jetosining, recognition dawned upon him, turning he quickly ordered the smaller ships to move off and away from the battleships, battlecrusiers and command ship. Then, he ordered all his gun batteries to target the ships, ordering armor piercing weapons to be loaded.
The Thelasi ships seemed to shrug off the fire fire from the MS and fighter units, their own Raven mecha and defense guns taking down scores of enemy Mobile Suits and fighters.
In the mean time, at Edenbar, which was protected by the main bulk of the Thelasi fleet, a group of four Subspace Destroyers slowly slinked out of the docking bays, dropping silently into subspace and heading for the FCN vessel. The only part of them in Real-space were the football sized probes that allowed them to see.
Finishing the complex manouver of flanking the Hattian and FCN's forces with the precision of a skilled surgeon, the entire Aelosian command group completed the turn, placing themselves close, really close in space combat standards, to the Thelasi fleet.
"Thanks for nothing. This is the Third command's of the Aelosian Fleet, under the command of the ArchDuke Admiral Kithail Hyral. I would like to know the name and rank of your Commander, and why your expeditionary force was attacked by Nightfearers", transmitted the Nimloth in all frequences to the Thelasi battlegroup, with the voice from former ShadowPrince himself.
The huge, enormous long form of the Aelosian battleship aligned right behind the Thelasi fleet, both the cruisers and the smaller escorting ships creating a formation of an inverted V centered in the dreadnought, the space between the great space behemonts swarming with Fighters, bombers and dragon droids released by the carriers of the fleet...
Over the radio Lady Ithenril piped in,
"Lord Hyral, how good to hear your voice again. This is Empress Ithenril transmitting fromt Edenbar. We were attacked by the Nightfearers for several reasons. The planet infront of you is claimed Thelasi territory, and we are inforcing that claim. The plannets inhabitances called one of those two fleets in to attempt to defend themselves, we offered them the choise of surrender, but they refused.
The other vessel, well, I have no clue why it intervened"
As the doomed ships neared the Thelasi, they could see hundreds of holes punched in the armor, any living thing would've long ago died. Freedom began to rupture from a shot to her reactor core and exploded in a massive fireball, extinguished in an instant.
The Hammer and Spirit came close the the Thelasi, ramming anything in their path, and along with the other smaller ships, detonated simultaneously very close to the Thelasi.
From his escape pod hurtling towards the planet, Zaitsev wiped a tear from his eye...
Post One:
When the ships exploded, massive damage was done to the smaller ships in the Thelasi fleet. Massive holes were ripped in their sides, and many of destroyers and smaller vessels caught near the blast simply exploded.
Apparently Zaitsev had forgotten something, and this was the minor fact that the five Thelasi fleets assaulting the planet were between him and the plane. As he moved through the fleet hundreds, if not thousands, of magnetic grappling cables fired, snagging many of the escape pods and reeling them in.
As the pods were reeled in a voice came over the radio, it was feminine and in a strange way soothing, as if your ear wished to listen to that voice, yet no magic lay behind it.
"Hattian soldiers, you have fought well against the Star Empire, now you have been defeated. We ask you to lay aside your war and lay down your arms.
If you do you will be treated with respect and dignity, as we would expect you to treat our soldiers, and at the end of this war we will return you to your home land, hopefully in better health than you came to us. We offer you our hospitality, and we hope that you see no dishonor in accepting it."
But Zaitsev was in the perfect position to watch what happened next.
Soldiers stood ready on transports within the Thelasi warships, thousands of soldiers, tanks, Mecha, artillery and even supply vehicles, yet these units would wait, just a little while longer.
From the transport launched around fifty dropships with fighter escorts, these dropships were heavily armored, and armed. Two remote CP (Charged Particle) Machine Cannons, and on the back ramp was a large CP Vulcan gun. Within each of the dropships were a squad of twelve Thelasi troops, a common assault unit, eight riflemen, two light machine gunners, a heavy gunner (or in this case a sniper) , and a assault trooper (who usually carried a high-power anti-armor rifle) with a grenade launcher or small mortar.
Along with the dropships went sixty gunships, armed with plasma missiles and heavy machine-guns. This entire force headed for the center of the capitol city, once that was secured the other areas would be secured.
As the pilots came in for a landing the CP Vulcans and Machine Cannons fired away at any enemy troopers, the fighters making a quick strafing run, dropping their bombs, then moving away, when any enemy forces opened fire, the gunships turned, launching missiles, or simply strafing away at the enemy forces.
The Thelasi forces moved quickly, engaging ground forces, then moving into the surrounding buildings, setting up a perimeter. Within an hour the Thelasi troops had set up a perimeter, clearing an area about one square kilometer for their use.
The machine gunners began to set up emplacements in the buildings, snipers getting on roof-tops as the riflemen began to do something that every soldier does, entrenching. They began to fill sand-bags, putting up a wall of sand-bags around the perimeter they had set up. Soon more soldiers began digging, putting in trenches not for defense as much as for protection against artillery.
As soon as the area had been attacked, Thelasi transports deployed large transports, this time carrying engineers and their equipment. As soon as they landed, again they began digging, leveling terrain and even digging large holes into the earth. After several of these holes were completed cargo transports came down, after they reached the ground they hovered above the large holes as their bellies opened, and pre-built buildings were lowered down into the holes. With this done the engineers moved quickly, covered the roofs of the buildings with dirt.
There buildings had been placed, a barracks, a supply center and a command center. The buildings were covered in dirt, leaving only three mounds of dirt. Smaller holes had been dug, rectangular. After they were finished another transport came down, lowering large artillery mass-drivers into the holes. After they had been placed, large heat absorbent and RADAR reflecting, camouflage nets were pulled over them.
It was important to the Thelasi that the field was level, and level it was, except for the three ‘hills’ in the ground, the importance would come later.
As the MS units and fighters streaked twoards the ships, fighters and the defence guns on the targeted warships opened up. Even guns from other warships not targeted began filling space with small, but powerful, slugs.
It was a veritable hale storm of weapons fire, heading straight that the MS units and fighters, lacking mobility, as they were heading straight for the Thelasi warships. The gunners expected to pick them off with ease.
OOC: Yes I moved quickly, feel free to have things happen during that, this is just a guidline to say what the Thelasi were doing. I anticipated minor resistance, but not heavy resistance, seeing as how you posted that the soldiers had retreated.

Zaitsev groaned as he felt the pod being snagged by the grappling cable. A marine, no more than nineteen years old, who was standing beside him loaded his rifle. Zaitsev sighed and pushed the barrel back towards the deck.
"No point in dying for a lost cause, son."
The boy looked at him and nodded. Zaitsev radioed the other pods, "Don't resist, we will see our homes again.
He looked off towards the few escape pods that managed to make it past the blockade. He wished he was on one, it wasn't in his nature to surrender without a fight, but he was also not stupid...
------------------
The Thelasi might have found it a little unsettling that they found the capitol city near deserted, except for a few civilians who refused to leave. Occasionally, a shot would ring out from a house, aimed at the Thelasi soldiers. The rebels would not give the Thelasi a straight up fight.
Beyond the noise that the Thelasi were making, the city was quiet. They would find no government documents or officials, the former burned and the latter fled long before they landed.
Though, if one looked through the canopy of the giant forests, they might see small humanoid shapes sneaking through the underbrush. They may have had no intentions of giving a straight up battle, but they were going to do their best to make the Thelasi's lives a living hell while they were on the planet.
Minutes after the ground troops had declared the area ‘secure’ the main part of the invasion force began to depart the invasion fleet, larger transports, capable of carrying hundreds of troops, tanks and Mecha. The first units off were light Hover Tanks, armed with smaller caliber mass-driver cannons, merely more than ultra-heavy caliber machine-guns. There were about two hundred of these vehicles, following them were twelve hundred infantry, with one light tank to each squad the units moved forward. They were light infantry from the Thelasi Fifteenth Armored, having trained for city combat these soldiers would go house to house rooting out any armed insurgents.
They had standing orders not to harm the remaining civilians, yet they also had orders to crush any resistance they found.
Back at the landing site, more transports began to land, these units carried the tanks of the Fifteenth Thelasi Armor around two hundred Medium Tanks and one hundred Heavy Tanks. With them were twenty pieces of Self-Propelled Artillery, large pieces designed to keep up with the tanks.
Finally were more of the infantry from the Fifteenth Armored, eighteen thousand and eight-hundred infantry. They moved quickly, securing one of the main roads out of the city. They moved to the outskirts of the city, and the large plain that surrounded it, whenever they hit heavy resistance, or any resistance, several squads of infantry would brake off from the main group. After rooting out the resistance they would move ahead, back to the main armored column.
First came the Heavy Tanks, their frontal and lower armor was almost completely immune to most mines, in fact, the only thing that usually harmed them were the shells from other heavy tanks, or a head on hit from an artillery shell. Behind them came the Medium tanks, and then the infantry were on the outskirts, their Spider-Silk and Durasteel armor protecting them from most projectile weaponry and shrapnel.
Meanwhile other where in the massive forests that covered the planet, Thelasi fighters swept down from the skies, instead of bombs and missiles they carried infrared sensors, radio detectors, and RADAR detectors, they used these to located pockets of ‘freedom fighters’ or as the Thelasi preferred, ‘insurgency troops’.
When a smaller group had been found, between 0-20 people, the Thelasi would send down a group of three dropships and six gunships. The Thelasi would ‘rope’ down from the hovering dropships and then move on the enemy encampment. If it was hostile the Thelasi would attack, using sighting tools to call in the gunships, in the meanwhile laying down suppressant fire from their CP Assault Rifles and Machine Guns.
If the unit was friendly the Thelasi would approach and offer the civilians transport back to their homes, and even, if their home was destroyed, they would be offered a new home.
Most of the resistance fighters either surrendered quickly or dropped their weapons and returned to the cities. Seeing that they would probably be quickly killed outside the cities, some people went in along with the surrendering rebels and tried to sneak their weapons into the cities.
It was obvious that organized resistance was small, and weakening quickly...
As the cargo pods were reeled in, Kenzarian stood to great the pods that had arrived. As soon as they landed, Thelasi marines moved forward, confiscating their guns. The Thelasi soldier who found the Hattian commander gestured to Kenzarian, “Sir, the Force Commander wishes to speak with you.”
The Thelasi moved quickly. Soon more transports began to land in other cities where the operations were repeated. In the heart of the cities Thelasi bases would be built, and the troops would conduct a full sweep. In ever city this was done, soldiers going house to house, locating resistance, and crushing it.
As time went on, the Thelasi began phase three of their operation. Even large cargo ships descended into the atmosphere, unloading, not combat troops, but engineers. These engineers began the task of clearing and rebuilding the destroyed roads so that colonists could move in. The task was difficult, and complicated by the fact that every now and then some one would shoot at them, but the combat engineers got the job done.
After the roads had been rebuilt within the cities, something odd happened. The Thelasi completely ignored the intercity roads, but instead began to construct massive tunnels underneath the ground. These tunnels weren’t built to carry cars, but were instead designed to carry grav-trains. Seven lane tunnels designed to carry trains that over long distances could reach hyper-sonic speeds, these trains would be the first part of the construction of infrastructure. These trains merged seamlessly with above ground networks, unfortunately as these trains pass out of the vacuum environment they must slow down to prevent super-heating.
Within the cities massive rebuilding was under way. Engineers began to work on recreating the road net-work, tearing down and reconstruction buildings, taking the possessions inside of them and storing those possessions to be returned to the civilians who owned them as soon as possession could be proven.
Every remaining human citizen was allotted a house according to the size of their old houses. These buildings were torn down and rebuilt, historical land-marks were preserved, but otherwise the city road network was relayed into a neat grid pattern. Most of the city was already in a grid, but certain areas had to be rebuilt.
More and more Thelasi military engineers were helped by private contractors, hired by rich civilians to build homes and businesses. The Thelasi requested death receipts from hospitals, then compared them to land ownership reports. Land that was unclaimed, abandoned, or whose owners had died, was seized by the Thelasi government, and given to Thelasi colonists, other land, not in the marked ‘residential’ rings, was sold to businesses.
The cities started to expand, on the outskirts massive factories were being constructed, in the next ring were the ‘slums’ lower level housing. Nearer to the center of the city were the large villas and high-level housing. One level inside the higher levels of private housing was the commercial center, within that was the Star-Port, the massive complex designed to dock large and small freighters. One level within that was the military area, a ring of guard bases, around that level was a massive wall, with weapons placements on top.
Finally within that ring was the government area. Built of Crystalike were the massive, curving and twisting towers of the Thelasi government buildings. They seemed to have an inner glow, radiating a blue light throughout the city.
OOC: Again, this is a timeline, most of it taking place over several months to a year. This next part continues through all of it.

Force Commander Icharon, formerly the Admiral in charge of the fleet that defeated the Hattian war-fleet smiled at his victory. He was a rising star in the Thelasi Armed Forces, and was pleased about his successes. It was no secret that he was Nosirin’s favorite Force Commander, and many people expected him to advance….
"And to think that we were helping them to harras some innocent human territory", said the Admiral Hyral, the command holo table trembling under the hit of his fist. "That's what happens when you act without hearing a distress' call, but I supposed the Thelasi were too proud to ever send one".
"I'll bet the everqueen will be glad to hear the news, Hyral, specially after the little incident between her and that wretch of Ithenril. If she ever know that you destroyed foreign vessels trying to help the Thelasi, you'll spend some time in vacations from your duties as Admiral, probably a permanent vacation", said a dark robed man with a grin, in his chest a huge blazon of the Sindarin Empire.
"Go and tell her, then. My version stands clear, we helped kindred vessels from an attack of a human fleet", answered the Admiral, staring directly into the shadows that covered the other man's features.
"We helped an outnumbering fleet of Thelasi warships to defeat a defending fleet...And thanks to us, they have seized a planet to annex it to their Empire", answered the mysterious character without coming out of the shadows that seemed to gather around his figure.
"We'll argue that in the Craftworld, Praetor of the Fleet, I think an strategic withdrawal is in order. If I would have freedom of commmand over this fleet, I would fire those Thelasi transports right away, right in their exposed behind, but I can't start another engagement without authorization, Isn't it, Praetor?", said the Prince, grinning broadly as the other elf left the command bridge, just waving dismissively his hand.

The majority of the remaining mobile suits and interceptors were destroyed and disabled by the final attacks of the Thelasi space fleet. Only one mobile suit was still capable of action, suffering only light damage from the kinetic weaponry that the Thelasi had fired. Ducking in and out of action, the Doven Wolf mobile suit piloted by Captain Ray Johnson skillfully piloted his mobile suit away from the hiding, intent upon surviving the battle. With practiced ease, Ray slowly prepared his mobile suit for the tortuous task of atmospheric entry. Slowly shutting off the power to his vernier thrusters, Ray allowed the gravity of the planet to draw him in, as his mobile suit slowly accelerated towards the planet. Although the temperature on the outside of the mobile suit soon reached unbearable levels, the mobile suit's state-of-the-art cooling systems and unique metallic alloy allowed the mobile suit to survive the atmospheric entry...
Having bypassed the atmosphere, Ray slowly returned power to his thrusters, allowed them to slow his descent as he descended through the sky. For him, the first order of business was to survive and fight again... With surprisingly slow speed, the Doven Wolf dropped from the sky, its thrusters easily slowing its descent... With tremendous grace unknown to mecha of such size, the Doven Wolf dropped onto the ground, its massive feet tearing apart the trees as it created a clearing...

Meanwhile, the Cala cruised through space, its sublight engines powering it past the outermost planets of the Dasun System, as the escort frigate headed towards Regulan.
Captain Avaras Torrigan gazed worriedly at her screen, displaying the sensory information. The sensors did not detect the presence of either the Guardian or its complement of fighters/interceptors and mobile suits, a fact that Avaras found deeply disconcerting. The sensors however did detect the presence of a massive fleet in orbit around Regulan, a fleet which Avaras quickly deduced as that of the Thelasi. Quietly, she ordered the frigate to stop, taking up a position between the seventh and sixth planets of the system, as she attempted to find a solution to her dilemma...
Zaitsev nodded forlornly towards Kenzarian after he finished speaking, "Lead on..."
He layed his hand on the jeweled hilt of the large sword hanging from his belt, "This is going to be a long day..." he thought to himself.

Chancellor Atanov turned his head as a largish shape streaked towards and impacted with the ground, he gripped his rifle and motioned to the others.
They were the last of those still fighting, the others had fled or been killed. Atanov and his group had managed to evade them, coming very close to being killed several times. They hadn't anticipated that the Thelasi were so adept at counter guerrilla operations...
The group of 15 quickly made their way to the clearing that the mobile suit had created. Quickly, they surrounded the clearing and lay concealed in the foliage, waiting for the pilot to climb out...

Captain Ray Johnson shook his head, only slightly jostled by the ride through the atmosphere, as he attempted to clear his head. Checking over his consoles, Johnson calmed down, confident that his mobile suit was still in working order. Slowly, the Doven Wolf crouched down, its head disappearing behind the trees. Very quickly, Johnson shut down his mobile suit. Taking a couple of calming breathes, Johnson cracked open the panoramic cockpit of the mobile suit and stepped out into the darkness of the planet. Glancing about, Johnson rummaged in his pockets and produced a cigarette. Lighting it, Johnson began to smoke, the nicotine calming him down, his mind attempting to find a solution for his predicament. With a yawn, Johnson sat down, enjoying the cool air and scents of the dark forest.
Atanov sighted the lit cigarette, "Lucky for him that I don't have any intent to kill him..."
He tapped the man beside him on the shoulder and pointed towards the man. The order quickly spread through the group.
The green shapes quickly and quietly emerged from the foliage, rifles at the ready. Atanov approached the man and leveled his rifle at the man, "Who are you, and are you with the Thelasi?" he said quietly...

Ray Johnson blinked when he saw the men materialize from the forest, their weapons raised. Taking another drag from his cigarette, Johnson snuffed his cigarette and tossed it into the forest. Raising his arms, Johnson took a deep breath and addressed those facing him. "I am Captain Ray Johnson, commanding officer of the Five Civilized Nations CNSS-3071 Guardian's mobile suit forces. I am the only survivor of the Guardian and its support forces. Who am I facing?"
"Former High Chancellor Atanov..." he said, extending his hand, "You should get out of here, the Thelasi have undoubtedly detected your presence and will likely be here soon."

Ray Johnson snorted in disgust. Climbing down from his opened cockpit, Johnson jumped down onto the ground. Taking the hand, Johnson shook it. "Fuck the damned Thelasi. I give them a dose of the mobile suit power of the 39th Wolfhounds if they come."
It is of course superstition that a person will come when their name is spoken, but you could have fooled the people on the ground. Almost on cue, several red meteor like objects seemed to come down from outer space. At the range that the Thelasi were at their shapes were indecernable.
With a loud boom massive blasts of blue exauhst flared out under the objects as they slowed down. It was visable what they were, Raven Mecha, five of them. These were the Thelasi equivalent of a Mobile Suit, large, powerful, and space-born, they were a favorite weapon of the Thelasi Star Marines.
The mecha landed in a crouch and slowly rose, scanning the forest for the large mass of metal that would be the mobile suit, over a loudspeaker, built into the Mecha, one of the pilots tried to contact the FCN officer, "Five Civilised Nations pilot, surrender imediately and you will not be harmed. Your fleet has been destroyed, and you stand no chance against the Thelasi ground forces.
Hattian personel, Commander Zaitzev has surrender to our battlefleet in orbit, you do not have a chance, surrender imediately."
Onboard the ship, Kenzarian, bowed to Zaitzev, "Admiral, I must congradulate you and your men for your amazing compitency with your ships. Please, follow me to my cabin." he stands asside, geusturiing for the door.

Johnson raised his eyes and annoyingly stared up at the meteors that streaked down from the sky. Instinctively, Johnson climbed back into the cockpit of his Doven Wolf. Shutting the cockpit, Johnson's eyes narrowed as five Raven mecha landed upon the ground. Grinding his teeth in annoyance, Johnson reactivated his mobile suit and forced it to stand. As the Doven Wolf stood, Johnson listened nonchalantly to the message, he shook his head. With lightning fast movement, the Doven Wolf drew its heavy beam cannon and ignited its plethora of vernier thrusters. As the Doven Wolf exploded off the ground and began to flee, its thrusters powering the mobile suit away from the ground, as the beam cannon fired continuously...
(OOC: Vernier 1, 2, or the Uber-mode 3? Just joking, I am a Gundam fan myself)
IC:
One of the Ravens took a direct hit, the ablative armor on one shoulder blasted away, falling to the forest floor in chunks. The other Mecha raised their own gravity propelled mass drivers, firing shell after shell up after the retreating wolf.
But the rifles wern't their only weapons. One of the Mecha lowered into a crouch, instead of a rifle it carried a large box with a grip for the machines massive hand underneath it. Raising the box, it targeted the enemy mecha, then fired.
A massive missile streaked out from the crouching Raven, heading straight twoards the enemy Mecha.

"Shit..." muttered Johnson loudly as he piloted his Doven Wolf away from the Raven mecha, using his vernier thrusters to evade the fire from the enemy mecha. Suddenly, the enemy acquisition sensors aboard the mobile suit began to beep, indicating the acquisition of some type of missile. "Oh damn, shit, fuck..." sword Johnson as he put his Doven Wolf into a radical U shaped turn. "Come on you fuckers, let me show you how a real pilot flies these machines..." With amazing grace and dexterity, the Doven Wolf somehow managed to evade the missile, but right into a couple of shells. As the supersonic shells slammed into the Doven Wolf's armor, it crumbled, barely able to withstand the power and concussive force of the massive bullets. With a shudder, the mobile suit stalled and slammed down into the forest, creating a massive swath of destruction as it plowed through the trees, tearing them apart. When the Doven Wolf finally stopped, Johnson was barely conscious. His eyes blurry, Johnson gazed calmly at the display screen of his downed mobile suit and sighed... The Doven Wolf was out of action, its vernier thrusters had been badly damaged by the shellfire. With determination, Johnson brought the mobile suit up into a standing position and faced his antagonists, his beam cannon raised as he faced his opponents, ready to sell his life dearly...
"Scatter!" shouted Atanov as the objects approached.
Atanov and his group disappeared as quickly as they came. Atanov and another man watched the insuing battle with a bit of interest. When it looked as if the Doven Wolf was about to be destroyed, Atanov tapped the other man on the shoulder and pointed towards the nearest Thelasi mobile suit.
The man nodded and pulled the rocket launcher off his shoulder. He peered through the scope, aiming for the Raven's cockpit. He squeezed the trigger and grunted slightly as the recoil hit him.
Atanov sighed, "Reload and relocate, lets give them another dose..."
