OOC: Hey everyone, I'm a little new but I have a friend who plays this as well so I'm not totaly lost. I decided to do future tech if you couldn't notice from the region I created. My friend told me I needed to make a history and stuff for the forum so here it is. Hope you like it.

History of Larix and Kura,

From what most historians can determine, the systems of Larix and Kura have been settled for some 1,000 years. The people were thought to originate from earth or one of earths colonies but know one knows for sure. When the first Larisians settled they were already advanced enough that space travel was a small problem. COmputers worked out points in space where space ships would travel until that point come out of "N Space" and then reset its navigational computers then jump to the next point. Through this system the navigation of the entire system plus the Kura system were dicovered.
Since the planets of the Larix system were greatly abundant in ore resources, and the meteors in the system lent valuable alloys to the metal industry of the Protectorate. Thus this made Larix the heart of Industry and Larix Prime is (3rd planet) the location of the Capital of the Larix-Kura goverment.
The system of Kura consists of (5) agri worlds. Not many people live on these planets other than the neccasary people to grow the huge amounts of food that is sent to Larix. Abundant in the resources of wood, wheat, and other edible plant life the first three planets in the system are some of the most important. The other two systems are considered "Herd" planets. On them are millions of animals known as Rox. A 3ft tall almost reptilian type animal that can be made into a stringy meat. A small company of " hunter gatherers" have made it so they can extort large amount of the meat without endangering the Rox's numbers.

Most Larisians and Kurians live most spartan life styles. Larisan quisean is mostly meat and veges under a spicy sauce. Larix is however famous for its most delightful wine which is mostly only afordable for the elite class.

The transportation systems on Larix are mainly large megoliths and small bus type transports that can move people to and from work. Private hover cars and lims are reserved for goverment use and the most rich of Larisians.

The goverment of Larix and Kura is that of a dynasty almost of rulers. The title known as Protector. There have been 24 recorded Protectors of a single family. The present Protector, Protector Red Ruth(who is 65), has ruled for 45 years; and is still considered only through 1/4 of his expected rule length. Red Ruth's family is unusualy long lived, the longest being the 12th Protector Maxis who lived to the age of 276.

Laser technology is the mainstay of Larisan military providitary. The Larisan fleet is armed with it and missiles. The fleet itself is mainly Battle Cruisers, Carriers, and Fighters. While the Larisan fleet is superb, the ground forces are sadly lacking except for a force of 1,000 elite men who are the Protectors body guard. Known as the Protectors Fist Legion. It was aparent to the 15th Protector that the fleet was more neccasary than ground forces, since it was easier to stop someone in space than on land.

Trade is a major dream of the Protector's. he already has sent out emmisary missions to all corners of the galaxy in search with other countries and systems with which he can trade to increase the might of Larix & Kura.

OOC: How'd I do? hope you liked it. My fleet will be in another thread in a few days when I have time to post it.

<<OOC: Firstly, welcome to NS!
For a first post, you should be happy. It shows you have started to think about the inner-workings of your Nation, as well as giving yourself some great starting points for future RP's (role plays). One suggestion, which will make your (and our) lives easier, is type up your post in a word processor, then spell check before cutting-pasting here. An error-free post will allow people to enjoy your work more.

Again, welcome aboard!

OOC: Thanks, and yeah that sounds like a good idea, I'll try it next time. I'm still trying to find a good website with some pics of space craft for my fleet, but it should be done by this afternoon.
