Dr. Erich Stoff of the Cephalopod Research Institute of Daistallia (CRID) announced today the accidental creation of a new species of octopus. The CRID has been undertaking intelligence enhancement experements using O. vulgaris, or the common octopus. Dr. Stoff stated that a combination of neuro-biological advancements in experemental subjects has resulted in the creation of O. oapiens. He gave the common name as Octospaiens.
