Legalization of "Weed"

States of Stephenson

His Royal Highness Bradley I of the States of Stephenson, while in a meeting with our UN Ambassador, made the observation that there were (and always are) several resolutions on the table (for Regional Delegate approval) to legalize "weed".

Since this practice is illegal in the States of Stephenson, we do not approve of these measures when they come to the table. However, checking through government archives, there is a signifigant amount of data on this topic. This issue routinely comes up in every nation from time to time, thus giving each nation the chance to approve or dissaprove of the practice. Just going through the recent proposal list, there are 5+ resolutions calling for the legalization on the same thing.

None of these ever seem to muster the votes required for a full vote in the UN. Would it not be proper to ban this issue from the UN, being as it never comes to a vote and clogs up the workings of governemnt?

Recreational drugs are legal in our nation, though the responsibility of actions performed while under their influence remains with the individual.

And you can't ban an issue from being proposed to the UN unless it violates the rules found in the stickies in the UN section.

You'll be utterly amazed by the things which get proposed.

If reffered into the UN the Dominion of Robotistan will vote for the legalization of all recreational drugs, and their strict use to create a more malleable and dependable work force from the rotting carcas of the human nations.

I think whoever works in the UN smokes a lot of that shit. Why else would the organization be so ineffective? Besides, I can't see anyone wanting to work their without a hefty block of "weed", as you so carefully put it. In my opinion, it helps out at the workplace.
