And since when has this become invalid? At least I tried making a story around it, which can't be said about the millions of other claims around here... The current owners of the Scandinavian nations are dead and I'm claiming those now.
You can claim wherever the hell you like, god knows that there are enough bits of land claimed to fill an RL Earth map six or seven times over. Just because you put more effort into it doesn't mean your claim takes precedence.
